Very clean and well setup, with everything you could need available. Impressive kitchen, which catered for every taste. The host was such a lovely person who communicated very well and did little things that were special like baked bread specially for us!

The brown hen is a gorgeous room in lodge external to the main house on a farm. It had wonderful attention to detail and was so comfortable. Amazing host 👏

Self contained, lovely location countryside all round, very peaceful. Facilities were very good, very comfortable slept soundly. Everything on hand and very clean.

What a great find! Immaculate accommodation.The small kitchenette is very well equipped. Gwyneth goes above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay. Her home made gluten free bread is particularly delicious! No hesitation in recommending and we look forward to a return visit!

The Brown Hen hosted by Gwenyth was such a lovely place to stay near Bandon. It was peaceful and comfortable and Gwenyth provided us with a delicious breakfast.

Het is een mooie B&B en de gastvrouw ,Gwyneth, heeft oog voor details bij de mooie en gezellige inrichting. Een klein mini-keukentje in een kast gebouwd, waar we alles konden vinden wat we nodig hadden voor het eten. Ze was leuk en bakte zelf brood voor haar gasten. Het complete en goed verzorgde ontbijt stond klaar in de koelkast en we konden de volgende ochtend op onze eigen tijd hiervan genieten. Ons uitzicht was heel mooi over een vallei.

Niets, het is een heel fijne plek om te verblijven.

Tout était parfaitement étudié pour se sentir dans un cocon de confort. C'est calme,et le lit très confortable.Le pain fait maison apporté tout chaud était un délice et une vraie découverte culinaire.

Wir hatten nicht wirklich auf dem Schirm dass Frühstück Selbstversorgung bedeutet, aber die Gastgeberin hatte für alles gesorgt, inkl. super leckerem selbst gebackenen Brot.

The host was absolutely amazing! So kind and welcoming. The breakfast was great too and we felt very comfortable in the room, best stay of our trip.

The room was absolutely stunning, a perfect combination of stylish and cozy. The view from the room was also exceptional, the sunset we manage to witness was just marvellous. The host is also incredibly kind and the freshly baked loaf bread was really a nice touch. Amazing breakfast as well, we really appreciated the cute little kitchenette with all the equipment and ingredients you could think of.

Nothing, the room was so pretty we almost bailed on our planned trips so that we can spend more time inside.:)

Can I move in? What a spectacular accommodation! I thought I was sleeping on a cloud. It is your very own tiny home with everything you could possibly need( no stairs). Gwyneth was a fabulous hostess and gave us a dinner recommendation, which we did very much enjoy. The PINK ELEPHANT was just minutes away with EASY parking, great food and a majestic view. The Brown Hen is the place you want to stay.

Wonder continental breakfast in our suite. More options than we needed and delicious fresh bread. Several tea and coffee options.

Even though we could enjoy the full beauty of the surroundings, (fog and rain) the accommodations were perfect and the host was gracious and welcoming. We wished our itinerary had allowed us to stay longer.

Cute guesthouse in the most beautiful and peaceful location. Gwyneth was a wonderful host. It’s clear she’s put a lot of thought into making the room comfortable and stocking it with everything you need. I loved the continental breakfast area hidden right in the room! Such a peaceful oasis from the city and the view was surreal.

Located just a short spin from Bandon town. Everything was so easy and the hosts were lovely. The bed was really comfy, breakfast was gorgeous and there were lots of extras in the kitchen and bathroom that one would not expect.

This accommodation was superb, it was hotel luxury with the convenience of facilities in the room

Logement très cosy dans une dépendance de la maison des propriétaires. Le lit était très confortable, chaque détail de la chambre était pensé avec soin. Le petit déjeuner était très bien. Le logement est bien situé, nature à l'extérieur du centre ville tout en restant tout proche pour aller au restaurant. Pour finir la propriétaire des lieux est vraiment adorable !

The accomodation is absolutely lovely and cozy. We were warmly welcomed. The fridge was full of everything you need for a good breakfast. Everything was spotlessly clean and equipped with an eye for detail. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved everything. Fab location, very peaceful, felt luxurious, spotlessly clean. Loved the surprise inside the "wardrobe". The host couldn't have been nicer, made us feel really special. I forgot to tell her how delicious her homemade brown bread was!

Beautiful accommodation in a lovely setting. Continental breakfast was fabulous and Gwyneth was a pleasure to deal with. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

Beautiful, well presented accommodation, we loved our short stay in the Brown Hen Guest House and wished we could have stayed longer. Gwyneth made us feel very welcome on arrival. The room is very nicely decorated and fitted out. Every detail has been thought about, so you are short of nothing. Lovely home-made bread accompanying assorted breakfast choice. It was our first ever night in Irland and it felt like a lovely treat at the start of our holiday. Thankyou

It's a little out of town so driving to restaurants and bars is essential.

Beautifully decorated accommodation with everything we needed for our 3 nights. Nothing was too much trouble for our hostess. Extra touches like big white fluffy towels every day, homemade wheaten bread and carrot cake added to the stay. Very quiet location set in beautiful countryside.

The breakfast was well stocked. There was plenty of options. The bread and scones are home made, and fantastic. The hosts were very friendly. It's a working dairy farm, so you see and hear the cows all the time

Lovely studio with two b&b rooms in a peaceful rural location just outside Bandon. Breakfasts are self catered from a well stocked kitchen cupboard containing a fridge, microwave oven and a sink.

Gwyneth is a most welcoming and generous host. The accommodation is well equipped and very comfortable with beautiful views of the lush green countryside.We loved the fresh homemade bread and well-stocked fridge!

Absolutely lovely guest house. Stocked with everything you need and more. Gwenyth was delightful and very helpful. You WILL wish your stay was longer. Comfy bed, tasty breakfast, bathroom with all amenities you’ll ever need. Her husband gave us great travel information regarding the ferry.

The Brown Hen is a beautiful accommodation. We travelled for a wedding nearby and stayed here the night before. A few minutes into Bandon. Such a quiet area. Gwenyth is so lovely also. I loved the decor, the cosy space & the little surprise kitchen unit. Very compact and cosy overall! I would definitely stay again.

A tremendous choice of good things for Breakfast, including home-baked bread.

Our little lodge really felt like our own. There was a small kitchen with a microwave, eggs, cereals, teas, coffees, and a fridge stocked with juices and sandwich fillings. Our bed was incredibly comfortable and the room cozy and beautifully decorated with fabulous views of the countryside. Our host, could not have been better. Present if needed, but not intrusive. Happy to share local recommendations. Out stay was brilliant all-round.

Everything was perfect and the host was amazing. We even got a home made brown bread made by her for our breakfast.

Every little detail from a well stocked breakfast kitchenette to real orchids and a luxurious bed was lovingly prepared for our stay. We especially enjoyed the big sky countryside! Gwyneth is an amazing host and person!

It was hard to find the place...I found to another farm family and they escorted me to the Brown Hen...lovely people for sure :-)

It was a big surprise that we were actually sleeping in a lodge inside a farm, with many cows as our neighbors! Gwyneth was very caring and always tried her best to help. The room was big, clean and well-equipped. The hidden pantry, disguised as a wardrobe, was another surprise to us. Preparing breakfast on our own with all the provisions was fun.

To us, the location was quite remote. We were unfortunate to arrive on a Tuesday when almost all restaurants in Bandon were not open. We were not able to find a restaurant for dinner even with the enthusiastic help of Gwyneth. It was also a pity that the weather was not good and we could not enjoy the farm more.

Gwinnett was a fantastic hostess. She is a wonderful person and one of the truly great person. We will miss her conversation tremendously. Couldn’t have asked better person. We will miss her very much.

The room is great! Fully equipped, very clean and tidy, and completely self-contained. The host is lovely and friendly, she made us feel completely at ease and is always on hand to help with anything we need.

Exceeded beyond expectations! I stayed a number of nights for my work purposes. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable, entrance is separate and independent which you feel you have ultimate privacy. My room(s) were/was well equipped with whatever I needed or felt or I expected to have from a 5-star Hotel. I loved the tranquility of the place, the farm with the cows, and the hens of course. It was not too close to my work place but I loved it, so I didn't want to get a closer accommodation to my workplace. I loved the self contained aspect, the silence of the countryside. It was like a junior hotel suite. Gwyneth was a great host.

All your breakfast a little cold ham at breakfast would be nice. You cater for yourself and the breakfast essentials are all there. Maybe if I had asked for it I would have been given it as the host was very obliging & asked what I wanted.
