The location.

We were initially very impressed with the unit upon arrival, as everything seemed great at first glance. Unfortunately, our experience quickly deteriorated as several issues arose throughout our stay. ​Unit Condition & Amenities ​Kitchen Cleanliness: When opening the cupboards, we found that the contents were not properly cleaned. There were visible stains on the pots as well as some of the cups. ​Lighting: The main bedroom light was completely out of order. ​Plumbing Issues: The bathroom taps were extremely stiff—hard to open and even harder to close. Furthermore, the bath plug/drain leaked constantly, making it impossible to hold water and take a proper bath. ​Connectivity: The Wi-Fi signal was exceptionally weak and practically unusable. ​Host Communication I brought these concerns to the host's attention directly, hoping for a quick resolution or assistance. Regrettably, she did nothing to help us or address the problems. ​

The property was clean with coffee, tea and mineral water on arrival. Large towels and enough electrical sockets. Conveniently located close to a very nice restaurant and minimarket.

We had a wonderful stay at this self-catering accommodation. Check-in was quick and hassle-free, making for a great start to our trip. The unit was modern, spacious, and equipped with all the latest appliances, making it feel like a home away from home. The heated blankets and heaters were a fantastic touch, especially on the colder nights, and the private garage parking was very convenient and secure. The area was quiet, peaceful, and perfect for families. Overall, everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-equipped self-catering stay.

The house was very well equipped with everything you need and more. It was cozy and definitely your home away from home. Communication from Host was excellent from the first booking up until the day we arrived. There was no problem with finding the key. Everything was well organized. Will definitely be there next year😉

Everything you need is there, neat, location is good. Braai on balcony is nice.

Stairs could be slippery when wet, but that is understandable.

The unit is on the upper floor, with a lockable garage. Situated next to the Stilbaai gardens, and close by Stilbaai river, and walking distance from Stilbaai main beach area. A few shops nearby for food, in case you do not want to drive over the bridge to the Stilbaai city center. Safe walk paths to the main Stilbaai camping /beach area, as well as along the river on a pathway. Overall a safe area. Enjoyed the braai area, over looking the gardens and the comfortable living areas in the apartment. Spacious - the whole place. Everything you need. There is a dishwasher and washing machine as well, if you need one.

The fridge did not fully function. The freezer did work. NOTE: The steps to the unit is steep, and might not be suitable to people having difficulty with steps.

Communication was seamless. Apartment was well appointed and spotless. Preparation for our stay was top notch. Location was perfect for the things we planned to do.

A beautifully spacious and fully equipped place to relax. Had a rear facing balcony which was very peaceful and we were able to hear the waves gently in the background. Toiletry samples provided were of excellent quality. The coffee, tea, biscuits etc were enjoyable in the morning on the balcony as the sun rose. Definitely looking forward to my next visit :)

Visit was too short to be able to enjoy everything to do in the area. A couple of extra hooks for towels and in the shower would be appreciated.

We loved all of it! We can't wait to go back again for next year's book festival.

Am Boden und in der Dusche / Duschwand gehört dringend was gemacht! Klo hatte komischen Geruch und die Decke war wie eine kratzige Überdecke.

Great place fir a stop o er on the way to Caoe Town, great communication everything was easy to follow. Very new apartment with all that you required. Highly recommended will use again when passing.

It was very cold this time of year, lived the electric blankets but perhaps a few more heaters would be great and a few more sachets of milk would be wonderful.

The hosts are great, very good communication skills with clear instructions and prompt responses.

The unit we stayed in has not been renovated and it was not a clean as it could have been.

Lovely apartment with nice touches - fans in every room, ice in the freezer, drinking water in the fridge. Great restaurant and a convenience store close by.

We’ve stayed at Osler Place many times over the past few years. The flat(No4) overlook the river and are very comfortable, equipped with everything you need for a perfect December holiday. The unit offers three well-sized bedrooms and two bathrooms, making it ideal for families or groups of 6. Jill, the host/owner is exceptionally helpful.

Before we checked in we were informed about everything. We were in contact with the host. The staff were really friendly and do there job well👏👏👏. Everything was in place and everything we needed was in the departement.

Problemloser check in mit Schlüssel Lockbox nach vorheriger Whatsapp-Info incl. WiFi-Code, schöner etwas windgeschützter überdachter Balkon und abschliesbare Garage. Vor dem Haus interssante schöne Parkanlage mit botanischen Erklärungen und Fussweg zum 6 km langem breiten sauberen Sandstrand vor schönen Dünen. Gute Betten und und gute Ausstattung. Gute Infrastruktur und Aktivitätsangebote am Ort, Restaurant im Haus.

Etwas verkehrsreiche - aber nicht wirklich störende - Strasse vor dem Haus. Kein Salz und Zucker vorhanden.

This was a quiet retreat for the week. The place was 2min drive from the beach and had everything we needed for a real comfortable stay.

Clean and well decorated. Lovely balcony and braai area. Fully fitted kitchen. Very comfortable for a group.

Bathrooms are very shoddy and need an upgrade. The entire apartment is pristine and the bathrooms are messy, rusty, chipped and old.

Convenient location, we will definitely visit the again

A bit chilly in the unit , but heaters helped to warm the place up and electric blankets in winter will be a bonus

For my wife, our three children, and me, it was the perfect weekend getaway. Our stay was absolutely wonderful—the location couldn’t have been better. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, with everything we could possibly need and more. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

The bed was comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The host was very helpful and friendly, providing local tips and ensuring we had everything we needed for a smooth stay. The location was perfect—quiet yet convenient for exploring the area. I highly recommend this guesthouse and will definitely return!

Location was great and not far from the beach. Quiet location & we were actually the ones who made some noise with our music.🤣

Just that there was no swimming pool for the kids, that would've elevated the experience for the kids. The beach made up for that & they enjoyed themselves there.

Quiet and peaceful while still close enough to central town (short drive). Just down the road from a weekend market and beach-side restaurant. Nice balcony for an early morning cup of coffee or evening braai (there is a braai facility on the terrace).

I sacrificed a Booking.com discount for what I recall mention of a "river view" in the list of features. While our balcony did face in the direction of the river, we could not actually see it due to the residences across the road. However, the view is still quite nice and open due to the presence of a very nice garden/park across the road.

Hi Jill 🪻 I have had a very good weekend in Still Bay. I am glad that I've chosen to stay at Osler Place. Everything was just so wonderful, especially the effort you took to make a child felt at peace with all the puzzle games, blocks and other stuff. We all loved our stay and will surely choose Osler Place for a next time to.

It was well situated, clean, spacious, and very well equipped. It had lock up parking and a balcony. Every detail was well attended to and we loved our stay.

Location was bad looked onto a backstreet.

The host was absolutely welcoming, the place was extremely neat and well kept.
