Klipdrift Sands Game Lodge provided an exceptional bushveld getaway from start to finish. The communication before arrival was efficient and professional, and the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. It was also wonderful that the host checked in during our stay to ensure everything was in order and that we were comfortable. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making for a great night's sleep after a day of enjoying the surroundings. One of the highlights was having wildlife roaming freely around the unit, creating a truly authentic bush experience. Combined with the stunning bushveld views and beautiful natural scenery, it made for a peaceful, relaxing, and memorable stay.

Just returned from an amazing stay at Klipdrift Sands Game Lodge and had the chance to experience their newest unit, Raptor Ridge (Superior Villa - 4 Sleeper). What an absolute gem they have created! From the moment you step through the door, three words immediately come to mind: premium, luxury, and quality. Every aspect of the villa has been thoughtfully designed and tastefully furnished, with each item intentionally selected and perfectly placed. The attention to detail is remarkable, creating a space that is not only beautiful but also highly functional and comfortable. Raptor Ridge effortlessly combines modern luxury with the tranquillity of the African bush. The spacious layout, high-end finishes, and stylish decor create an atmosphere that feels both exclusive and welcoming. It is clear that no shortcuts were taken in the design and execution of this villa.

My 10 year old boy is autistic and my mother has dementia so it was always going to be a challenge for me. Even in a budget cabin, we were so happy. It was beautiful. Everything was there that we could possibly need. Thank you again. It was such a hurried trip for us and We arrived into true South Africa: the nature reserve is dedicated to the bush that surrounds it. If you want luxury, en site shops, more people than animals: this isn’t for you. Gorgeous trails around the reserve with an abundance of free roaming ostriches, nyalas, impalas, ducks and Egyptian geese. In the cooler times of the day, a caretaker arrives to the front of your chalet with a wheelbarrow of food to draw in the buck and the ducks and the ostriches. We asked for buckets of food so that we could also sit on the ground and hand feed the animals on our doorstep. A natural pool hosts a single slide landing in water. A walk around the well maintained track leads you past watering holes and manmade lakes. The staff on hand are so kind and helpful: offering charcoal and wood. The most budget cabin has comfortable mattresses, mosquito nets over all the windows and everything you could possibly need for a stay in nature. We didn’t have a car (Uber drove us right to the cabin) and found game drives with ease: they were a bit further out than expected but we were collected in a game reserve truck with high seats, blankets, little snacks for a sundowner and a drink included in the price. We were collected from Klipdrift Sands and delivered back after the game drive. I couldn’t find a single fault with our little cabin and the staff on site were all an absolute credit to the reserve, and to their profession. We were really treated so beautifully and we left feeling like we’d been dusted with the absolute beauty of African sand and dust and spirit. Thank you again to everyone and to Dup, for doing his utmost to help me find a game drive in record time!

Our stay at Klipdrift Sands Game Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the efficient and hassle-free check-in process set the tone for a relaxing getaway. The luxury units are beautifully secluded, offering complete privacy and a real sense of escape from the busy world. The beds were super comfy, ensuring restful nights surrounded by the sounds of nature. One of the highlights was the abundance of wildlife. Seeing animals casually wandering around the units was a special experience and made us feel fully immersed in the bushveld environment. The lodge also provides easy access to the Dinokeng Big 5 reserve, making game viewing both convenient and rewarding. What stood out most was the stillness and tranquility of the property. The peaceful surroundings, combined with the privacy of the accommodation, created the perfect setting to unwind, recharge, and reconnect with nature.

Klipdrift Sands exceeded all our expectations. The natural surroundings are breathtaking, the lodge units are comfortable and well equipped, and the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing. From the friendly staff to the unforgettable views, every moment was special. A true bushveld paradise.

We loved the animals all around us..it was so tranquil and peaceful. It was such a beautiful, and spiritual experience being there in the natural environment. Klipdrift enhanced this beauty with bringing the essence of an African bush veldt paired with lodges that fit perfectly into the environment. We had the Superior House and it was absolutely stunning! Sunsets are unreal here. The house had all the amenities, it was deep cleaned daily, and whenever we needed something or to ask a question, we were attended to right away. Simply wonderful! Edward, his wife and the rest of the staff are amazing!

I have nothing bad to say about this place. I wish everyone could experience it. We visited South Africa from zcanada and I can honestly say that we made the mistake to not stay at Klipdrift much longer. I was sad to leave.

The accommodation was well-appointed and spotless, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming. It was the ideal getaway for our family, with plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy the bush experience.

There is no entertainment, no shade by the pools, all activities are outsourced and not always available, we couldn’t do a Quad drive as we were told they aren’t available. I didn’t get the value for money. The pictures are misleading.

Great bushveld break-away. The lodge is really laid out thoughtfully with units spaced far apart which provides a private, secluded and tranquil experience. Well equipped with all needed, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and appreciated the serenity and reset the lodge provided.

Peaceful, secluded and quiet bushveld break-away. Staff was very welcoming and helpful, all requests were resolved soonest and everyone is so friendly. The lodge has plenty of wild game wandering about freely between all units, which is a really awesome experience. Hidden away deep in the bushveld, this lodge is a true gem.

Klipdrift Sands offers a peaceful, secluded and well-managed setting with daily cleaning services which added to the comfort.

A lot of thought and effort obviously went into kitting out the cottage we stayed in, its placement, and all the features outside the cottage. The property in general was in a nice location, and our stay was peaceful.

"Check in". We received a lot of useful information from the property after making our booking, save for useful details regarding check-in. Initially, we were given the name of a person who was supposed to be our contact for all needs, so we weren't concerned but said person wasn't anywhere to be found upon our arrival, and we were given different stories by different staff members regarding his location. Like many, we arrived after a long day of travel - with a 96-year old in our party - and to arrive with no info on which cottage was ours, no clear directions on where to go upon arrival, and no answer from the contact numbers we were given, we found ourselves driving around aimlessly - very irritated needless to say. We eventually found a staff member who was able to tell us which cottage was ours, only for her to make us fill paperwork out while we were all still in our car, and not near our accommodation - no sense whatsoever of our obvious desire to get out of the car and to our accommodation, where one of us could easily have still filled out paperwork. Not to mention the fact that said staff member stank so badly, we had to lean away from the window to get away from the stench. I just can't understand why one would build such lovely accommodation, and go through great efforts to create such lovely spaces, only to leave untrained staff to manage important matters like check-in. Never mind that sending useful info before arrival can be done from anywhere in the world. As for the accommodation description, while the cottage was lovely, it was described as "whole holiday home/house" on booking.com - very misleading. Seeing lantana throughout the grounds around the accommodation units wasn't encouraging.

The friendliness and warmth of the staff made the stay feel homely. The place has a very calming farm and Bush feel to it. It was the perfect place for me and my friends to get away from the buzz and relax.

We really enjoyed that it was a home away from home. Very clean and cozy. The views were spectacular, and I would like to give a special shout out to Edward and his wife. They were very helpful during our stay. The animals are so friendly. We felt safe when taking a walk around the farm. The route was also easy to follow.

The pool was pretty cold - honestly not in the hands of the host. We also had an issue when booking, however Dup the host assisted. Make sure you know which cabin you have booked to avoid disappointment :)

Scenic bushveld location, great facilities and super-friendly staff. We were pleasantly surprised by this gem in the bushveld, in close vicinity of Pretoria. Nyala, Impala, Bluewildebeest, Blesbok and Ostriches roaming around freely between the units, units are spaced far apart for privacy and each luxury unit has a private swimming pool. Quick and easy access into Dinokeng Game Reserve for Big 5 Game Drives.

The staff were exceptional. They were very polite and friendly. No task was to much for them and they went out of their way to make our stay memorable.

Everything was wonderful. An upstairs toilet would be perfect. We are all old and no one wanted to navigate the steep stairs in the middle of the night. The lapa is amazing and so many extra.

It's such a calm, tranquil and secluded lodge, ideal for switching off. Comfortable accommodation and friendly staff made it even better. Highly recommended!

The saff were great and location was nice and quite . Braai areas and fire pit were excellent. The cleaners coming everyday added a nice touch coming back from a game drive to a clean cabin really lifted the experience. Family friendly and safe would definitely recommend

The location is perfect and a typical bushveld location with wild animals like buck, ducks,osrich roaming in the bush. Well maintained and comfortable little houses fully equiped with everything that you need. Nice and clean cottages and very friendly staff to meet you at the facility. A place where you can rest well in nature and the cottages are far away from each other, to enjoy the sounds of nature and enjoy family and friends.

There was nothing to complain about. It was just perfect.

The unit was spotless, the pool pristine, and the bathroom modern and completely private. It truly felt like a luxury bush home rather than just accommodation. The team went out of their way to make our stay seamless, friendly, and relaxed, and communication was excellent throughout. Klipdrift Sands delivers the perfect balance of comfort, tranquillity, and authentic bush living. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our return — highly recommended!

Easily accessible roads even with a sedan and a lovely welcome from Edward. All the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Dup was also very responsive on WhatsApp and immediately assisted with Game Drive booking contacts and any other queries. The Klipdrift Sands bush house is exceptionally well equipped and has everything one could possibly need and more, from additional braai equipment and various potjies to a huge undercover patio with a built-in braai. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils and appliances needed, including a large new fridge. The bathroom is lovely, spotless, and completely private with a proper door and lock. The pool and unit were immaculate and offered great privacy. Beds are extremely comfortable, and there are ample plug points in each bedroom for all types of adapters and charging needs. Overall, it is clear that everything has been very well thought through to make guests feel comfortable. Klipdrift Sands is truly a “home away from home” bush getaway.

Nothing was missing, we loved everything about this Bush lodge.

The unit was well equipped and clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating. There was a lot to do at the lodge, especially for the children.

It was a little far from the centre of the reserve so going for a game drive etc was not easy with the little ones. Also, I found it strange that we never met the host even though he lived on the property.

The property is everything advertised and more. Very tranquil and we were very happy to see our guests the ostrich and the impala on our veranda❤️ the experience was breathtaking.
