Location

Most things - communication average, no check in details supplied, got to the room with no way to get in. Once we did get check in details, the “digital key” was unreliable leaving us locked out of some areas. Lobby of the building absolutely stinks like dirty oil it made me gag, bags of unwashed linen sat in the hallway for a couple of days. No doona cover, just wedged between a couple of top sheets, rooms were dirty. Overall vibe was off.

Great location in the old town. Clean and functional. Good air con. Good breakfast.

The location was great that is probably the only positive point.

Wonderful location and the room was huge and very comfortable and a balcony towards the streets of old town was a big plus. Breakfast was lovely too and it was very convenient to have a little table and chairs too enjoy it on in the room too. Lovely staff, clean and comfortable. Thank you - we loved it! 😊

Son emplacement

Le bruit de la rue, le bruit très bruyant du sanibroyeur, les joints sales de la salle d’eau et l’espace restreint pour le petit déjeuner dont certains produits de boulangerie et pâtisserie n’étaient pas très frais.

Mooi centraal gelegen in het oude centrum.

De ramen waren enkel glas en dus was er enorm hard geluid van de straat te horen wat tot 5 uur in de nacht doorging. De douche was niet heel warm en een zachte straal en als je het toilet doortrok dan maakte dat enorm kabaal. Het was een niet enorm slecht maar voor de prijs (170 per nacht) viel het tegen.

The position is incredibly functional to visit Bilbao, as it lays in the middle of the Old Town (near to many recommended pinxtos spots). It's incredibly easy to arrive using public transportation, the metro and the overground trains are easily within reach. If you're a fan of Alice in Wonderland you'll love it, as many things are styled following that visual imagery. When we needed assistance, there was a whatsapp number that swiftly responded and helped us with clear and precise information.

The hotel is located in the heart of Bilbao's old town and it is surrounded by countless bars and restaurant. You'll be in the middle of the city's nightlife, which is great if you like to go out and have a few drinks and pinxtos, but it also means that when you get home, you'll have to deal with all the noises that usually happen at night in these kind of areas. During parades, Aste Nagusia and other significant events, it will be very hard to sleep as you'll hear everything that happens downstairs in the streets. The hotel provides you with ear plugs though. You have to throw the toilet paper in a bin and not in the toilet.

Perfect location for a night in Bilbao old town. Nice room, clean, comfortable bed, great shower, double-glazing to cut street noise and good AC. Helpful staff.

The online access didn’t work, we didn’t get a code and had to be given it by a real person on-site… thank goodness for humans!

It’s position right in the casco viejo

It was basically a typical apartment that has been divided into several rooms, with extremely thin walls and virtually no soundproofing. You can hear absolutely everything from the neighbouring rooms. To make matters worse, several members of the cleaning staff started having loud conversations in the hallway/common area as early as 7am and continued until 10am, on a Sunday!! They were talking as if there were no guests trying to sleep, making it extremely difficult to get any rest. Overall, the lack of soundproofing and the noise from the staff made the stay very uncomfortable, especially in the morning.

Caldissima d estate e non insonorizzatta, quindi rumore h24. Impossibile dormire. Wc sanitrit a fianco a letto senza porta con scarico rumorossisimo. De ligging is top!

Door het authentieke karakter (enkele beglazing) hoor je heel veel geluid van de stad. De ligging is super centraal maar dit heeft helaas ook zijn nadeel.

Mucho ruido de la calle, el balcón es antiguo de madera y no aisla del ruido. Y dentro también mucho ruido.

At the beginning of OldTown Bilbao en close to modern shopping area. So perfect for quick visit of Bilbao Centre. Close to parking garage (300m walk as road to AliciaZzz is pedestrian area).

The spaces are small and offer modest comfort. Bathrooms small and a little outdated.

Het pension is gezellig ingericht en centraal gelegen in de oude binnenstad. We hadden verwacht dat er wel geluidsoverlast zou zijn, maar dit was niet het geval. We waren blij met alle voorzieningen die er waren. Heerlijke douche en goed ontbijt en lekker bed.

Het enige wat we vervelend vonden was dat we 2 keer een mail kregen met de beschrijving hoe we in het gebouw moesten komen maar geen code zodat we niet naar binnen konden. Het nummer wat in die mails stond bleek niet de code te zijn. De communicatie verliep in het Spaans wat voor ons lastig is. Uiteindelijk kregen we hulp van iemand die in het gebouw woont en Engels sprak. Hij heeft de eigenaresse gebeld we via de app kregen we een telefoonnummer wat we konden bellen waarna het probleem snel opgelost was en we verder genoten hebben van ons verblijf!

Superb location, a bit noisy but you’re provided with earplugs and the experience of an old restored house in the old town of Bilbao is making up for it. Nicely decorated rooms, clean. Includes breakfast which is really nice.

Uitstekende ligging

Kleine kamer met kleine badkamer, geen kast voor kleding maar ook geen ruimte om je koffer te zetten

Een leuke knusse kamer in het hartje van de levendige oude stad van Bilbao.

De badkamer van kamer 102 had een erg onaangename geur. Ook het toilet spoelde midden in de nacht spontaan door.

El estar en el casco viejo, y la atencion. Aunque ha hecho calor, nos ha gustado mucho el ventanal de la habitacion, un antiguo mirador.

La bomba del bater suena muy fuerte. Por lo que a las noches no la usamos.

Läget är superperfekt, mitt i gamla staden. Det är bara några hundra meter bort till Nueva Plaza. Interiören var utmärkt ombygd och renoverad för att passa i denna gamla byggnad. Utrymmena blev lite udda, och mycket trevliga.

Frukosten var ingen höjdare. Det fanns nästan bara vitt bröd, yoghurt och mjukost som till en normal frukost. Däremot fanns det massor av sötsaker, typ wienerbröd, marmelad mm. Jag önskar att det hade funnits ett handtag att hålla sig i när man duschade. Att tvätta fötterna blev till en balanskonst.

Pedí una habitación con mirador y la obtuvimos. Es muy bonita. Todo el piso está decorado al estilo de Alicia en el mundo de las maravillas. En pleno casco antiguo.

Seguimos las instrucciones para acceder, pero nuestra tarjeta no funcionaba. El WhatsApp no contestó hasta 3 horas despues. El número de urgencias atendió cuando llamé la segunda vez. El casco antiguo tiene desventajas: hasta las tantas la gente en la calle. Después la limpieza de calle con agua. Por la madrugada la basura. La bomba de agua para el WC hace mucho ruido y se escucha la del al lado también.

L'établissement est génial nouveau concept top ... système de digicode pour entrer ds l'immeuble et votre chambre à n'importe quelle heure ce qui laisse une liberté totale ...situé en plein centre ville ds une rue piétons ce qui permet de visiter bilbao sans voiture plus tout commerce a portée de main 😍 le ptit déj est en self service dans un espace dédié qui offre une multitude de choix et a n'importe quelle heure ... top !!!

Le ptit bémol pour les personnes a mobilité réduite seul un parking payant a 10 minutes a pied pour y garer sa voiture mais possibilité de se faire déposer juste devant l'hébergement quand même !!!

I stayed in a few places in the Old Town and this is one of the best. Room was excellent, staff were super helpful and it’s a great location. Breakfast and coffee were also much appreciated.

Excelente bed & breakfast en el casco histórico de Bilbao! La ubicación es ÓPTIMA, con acceso a todos los bares y restaurantes del casco, a su vez cerca del Mercado de la Ribera y del Museo Guggenheim. La chica de recepción fue muy atenta y amable! Punto aparte para el desayuno, sinceramente es muy bueno para lo que suelen ser los b&b.

Kreativt indrettet. Virkelig god placering i byens gamle kvarter. Vi oplevede ikke udfordringer med larm fra gaden, vi oplevede det nærmere som lyden af hyggeligt gadeliv. Morgenmaden var enkel, men god.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was excellent. Close to shops, restaurants and bars.

The room was small enough and there was little or no storage available, no dresser or side table. There was a place to hang clothes but nothing with drawers etc. In fact there was very little furniture in the room. It was also quite noisy particularly on Saturday night. For a one night stay it would have been fine but for 3 nights it wasn't. I don't like giving negative reviews however it's just my opinion. I thought the breakfast was very basic (there were no meats or boiled eggs for example) mainly fruit and pastries/bread rolls.

Entrar ha sido muy cómodo aún sin recepción personal. La decoración bien, la ropa de cama bien y almohadas suficientes. Las vistas geniales desde nuestra habitación "La Reina de Corazones". El tamaño de la habitación es muy adecuado y se agradece que no haya olores extraños, olía a limpio como debe ser. La ubicación excelente, a 3 minutos del metro. El desayuno perfecto, con frutas diferentes, bollería de harinas integrales, diferentes tipos de pan, leche de vaca y vegetal, zumo, cereales, cacao, infusiones, aceite de oliva... todo rico.

Las ventanas son preciosas pero tienen cero aislamiento acústico y cero aislamiento térmico (menos mal que era Junio) El ruido del váter ecológico decepcionante. Y, sobre la limpieza, en general muy bien pero, tiene detalles como las juntas de la ducha y las pelusas de la parte baja de las sillas a las que se podía prestar más atención.

Posizione centrale, ottima per visitare il centro a piedi ma anche per raggiungere zone più periferiche o l’aeroporto con i mezzi pubblici Abbiamo apprezzato la possibilità di lasciare, anche se solo per alcune ore, i bagagli dopo il check-out. Lo staff che abbiamo incontrato la mattina è stato gentile e disponibile.

Il bagno interno non è in alcun modo separato dalla stanza, non permettendo al un tipo di privacy. Le finestre della camera si aprivano con molta difficoltà e tranne che per una non restavano aperte. Non ha molto senso aprire le tende perché la camera è alla stessa altezza di altri appartamenti con la stessa tipologia di tende e anche qui non ci sarebbe privacy. Prezzo molto alto, so che Bilbao è piuttosto cara ma trovo comunque non buono il rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Wir haben eine wirklich schöne Zeit verbracht! Die Lage mitten in der Altstadt ist einfach top und perfekt, um alles zu Fuß zu erkunden. Unser Zimmer war sehr schön gestaltet, das Frühstück lecker. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir auch das sehr nette und aufmerksame Personal. Insgesamt aber ein toller Aufenthalt – wir kommen gerne wieder!

Der einzige kleine Minuspunkt: Im Zimmer haben uns ein paar zusätzliche Ablagemöglichkeiten gefehlt.

Lovely position in the old town....which is very atmospheric and many restaurants and bars. Staff helpful and friendly Breakfast was nice continental. Could use kitchen facilties all day ....tea and cake !

A little small but it was adequate as a single room.

This has been my second trip with a few years apart, and the place continues to deliver high scores for me on location, functionality and value for money. It is indeed an Alice in Wonderland experience. Good communication from the staff, very helpful and practical support, good facilities. I would repeat staying here and highly recommend the experience.

Although not related to the actual premises, there is a strong cooking smell in the shared entrance and main staircase to the building, that could be addressed for maximum positive impact on arrival and leaving.

Quite noisy outside but not unexpected due to location. Earplugs provided And the open plan toilet, it's just not a fun experience, I have been married for 28 years and really don't want to hear my husband doing his 'business' and vice versa.

Cet hôtel n’est pas digne de la qualité Booking, j’ai payé 580€ pour 2 nuits Cela ne vaut pas plus de 50€ la nuit Entre la nuisance sonore, et la qualité de la chambre Ok c’était le week-end de la coupe d’Europe de Rugby mais j’ai le sentiment de mettre fait avoir et je déteste ça Je suis client booking depuis des années et je ne comprends pas

Struttura meravigliosa. Posizione perfetta, in centro, ma affatto rumorosa. Colazione buonissima. Camera romantica e con vista da sogno. Io non valuto tutte le strutture, perché viaggio tanto. Ma qui valeva la pena di spendere due parole perché se lo meritano davvero…mi hanno risolto anche in brevissimo tempo una difficoltà che ho creato io. Top.

Die Lage in der Altstadt ist perfekt auch wenn nachts noch die eine oder andere Person unterwegs ist.

Abschließen der Zimmertür war nicht ohne weiteres möglich. Frühstück könnte auch noch Wurst o. Ä. und Müslialternative angeboten werden. Sonst perfekte Auswahl.

La stanza è veramente poco insonorizzata, quindi soprattutto la sera sembra di stare in strada. Il bagno non è veramente separato dalla camera (non c'è una porta) quindi si sentono tutti i rumori e odori. Inoltre lo scarico del water fa veramente molto rumore e non è possibile buttare la carta igienica nel WC. Rapporto qualità prezzo pessimo, dato che abbiamo pagato 150 euro a notte, ma non ne vale la pena.

La ubicación y el trato es excepcional El desayuno es muy completo, con variedad y abundante. Mucho mejor que en otros B&B en los que he estado Muy recomendable, sin duda será mi primera opción en Bilbao

Como siempre que te alojas en zonas céntricas y de casco viejo, hay más ruidos y actividades todo el día. Pero para eso existen los tapones, que además ellos ya te los dan como cortesía

Excellent location, very clean, never met host but very good communication via WhatsApp. Cute bedroom, nice and cosy. Was nice and warm and I had a nice sleep.

Breakfast was too late. I had to be at the airport for 8am and I think breakfast started at either 8 or 8:30am.
