Summer Land is very centrally located. It is about 2 km to the temples. We walked two times. The personnel were all very friendly, helpful, and caring. First day, Muhidfin walked with us almost to the temples. We were a bit under the weather; he prepared tea for us. Our room was very clean! All the other personnel were helpful and friendly too. Thank you!

Wonderful, attentive service. The gentleman that runs this place is truly a kind and caring one. This place is well furnished, clean, and with honestly the best service we have received in Egypt (where generally people have been incredibly kind and helpful!). I strongly recommend it

Nothing really. It is next to the mosque so the call to prayer will be heard, but there’s generally no escaping that anywhere!

Our host, Mohidi, was delightful. He got tickets for us for the Abu Simbel Sound and Light Show. His warmth and hospitality were exceptional, including a welcome beverage upon our arrival, trays of fruit in our fridge, as well as bottles of water and sodas. Our bed was romantically decorated with scattered bougainvillea leaves and a towel folded into a flower. Very sweet touches. Upon our departure he gave us an Abu Simbel magnet. Such thoughtfulness! The location is adjacent to the mosque which makes it easy to find. It’s also across from the market which is wonderful. Definitely stroll the alleys; folks are very friendly and costs are fair. We got a delicious falafel for less than 50 cents US, an enormous juicy mango, some oud incense, henna, and my husband got a haircut from a very skilled barber who also threaded his eyebrows. Breakfast was simple: eggs, white bread, butter, honey, yogurt, water, and a hot beverage. We walked everywhere from Summer Land Hotel. We especially enjoyed the sunsets over the Nile near Seti resort.

Beds were extraordinarily large and also very firm. They are two beds pushed together so there’s a ridge where they join. Pillows were more like couch cushions, also very hard. Mohidi traded them out for smaller ones for us. I felt like Goldilocks! There is no curtain on the shower, but the water drains through a hole in the floor. The hot water heater must be turned on by a wall switch. We thought there was no hot water because we were unaware of the switch. Once it heats up it’s a very hot shower. Bar soap is supplied; bring your own shampoo/conditioner. Since Summer Land Hotel is right downtown it was also noisy with kids racing their motorbikes, dogs barking and people conversing. Wear earplugs.

Our stay was wonderful! We were warmly welcomed and well taken care of throughout our time here. The staff were very friendly and kind to us, always ready to help. The location is great — even though the hotel is close to the market, the night was comfortable and peaceful. We really appreciated the hospitality and would gladly stay here again.

Amazing stay, amazing people!

The staff was amazing

Nothing

They are really doing their best. The staff are friendly and helpful. They offer a pleasant welcoming drink. The room is spaceous, clean with a comfortable bed and hot shower. We wanted to leave very early and they gave us a great take away breakfast box (Summer Land: you don't really have to to wrap everything in plastic - a carton of juice or a jam cup is already well prepackaged 😀).

We think that the room price is not value for money we paid. The rooms facing the steet (we had) are very noisy in the evening (but quiet at night).

Everyone we met at the hotel were very kind and helpful. They arranged our transpotations between the airport and the hotel. The breakfast was very good! It was 20 minutes walk to Abu Simbel. We were able to get the tickets of sound and light show at the hotel. We got the recomendation of the restaurant for dinner. The next day we went to see the sunrise. We were so happy staying at this hotel!

Very good breakfast. Location is reasonable, walkable to the temple if weather allowed. Room is clean and spacious.

It was really great, the room was comfy and clean. The personnel were really nice they even prepared us boxes for breakfast cuz we were going early to the temple. Thank you very much.

The room is clean. The host is very helpful, you can buy sound and light show and a sunrise boat trip from the host directly. Highly recommend!

No hair dryer

Super close to the bus station Walking distance to the temple. The reception was super helpful and nice We had welcome drinks when we checked in. Breakfast was well prepared. Taste good. The room was very clean. Good value of money.

Sam was very accommodating and hospitable! Quiet and super clean.

Nothing

I highly recommend this hotel. It is just opposite the bus station and next to the market for convenience. Our room was really big, so clean, with a nice balcony overlooking the square. Assam (the host) was very nice and even helped us book a minivan the next morning, which arrived 5 minutes later. The breakfast was well served. Best hotel in Abu Simbel I would imagine!

Nice staff and good breakfast.

Fantastic staff and location

Nothing. Bathtub could do with a curtain but not a problem

Location is 30 min walk from the temples, there are shops and market nearby, good internet connection, hot water
