Al Salam Camp Bidiyah

The location and the camp are very good, you are really in the middle of the desert. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff! The room are very authentic and put you into a feeling of the traditional culture. The journey to the camp is also great in driving through the dunes. The staff is very friendly and can offer many activities on short notice such as camel rides, dune bashing etc. They also organize a nice buffet breakfast and dinner.

Best Desert camp with great Facilities.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Al Salam Camp in Bidiyah, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience. The camp’s location is simply excellent; we reached it easily with our normal saloon car, which was a pleasant surprise given the desert setting.The staff at Al Salam Camp were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We opted for the Deluxe tent, which was spacious and beautifully designed, offering a unique boutique experience. The open-air shower facilities added a special touch, allowing us to enjoy the natural surroundings while maintaining comfort. One of the highlights of our stay was the food. The buffet BBQ dinner was truly exceptional, with a variety of delicious options that catered to all tastes. Everything was prepared to perfection, and we couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Al Salam Camp for anyone looking for a budget-friendly and peaceful night in the desert. It’s the perfect escape, combining comfort, excellent service, and a stunning location.

Perfect location, if you don't want to go too deep into the desert and get there in your 2WD car. Surely take the 4WD trip to the dunes for sunset, it's a must.

We stayed in a tent which was incredibly comfortable and clean. Even had aircon. Food was very good. Staff were friendly.

WARNING: this camp is set up and geared up for groups and NOT individual travellers as we found out. We were the only non-group travellers staying here. There was a big group of senior travellers and an even bigger group of (30?) teenagers with leaders who were themselves only just adults. No one was misbehaving but teenagers are naturally loud. At dinner my husband and I were told to sit at a table by the door as all the other tables were reserved for the groups, we had no choice. We had to be strategic with the buffet when to go 'in for the kill' and when to retreat whilst navigating our way through these groups. This REALLY spoiled our experience of once in a life time stay in the desert. This is a big camp and we suggest it ONLY takes group bookings as it has great facilities.

The location, the camp itself, the activities! If you have time, huge recommendation to go visit the desert with a guide. Ours, Abdullah, was amazing! He makes you spend a truly unforgettable moment.

The breakfast maybe could be a tiny bit better (fruits and juice). But come on, we’re in the desert, so it was all good!!

The place was beautiful and easily accessible even by car. Despite being in the desert, the reception staff were respectful, and the room was lovely and spacious.

The camp’s location in the middle of the desert added to the charm, providing a peaceful and unique experience. Star watching under the desert sky was excellent, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere. The hospitality extended by the staff was superb, making me feel truly welcomed. The camel ride was a highlight of my stay. It was not just good; it was excellent! The camel guides were super knowledgeable and made the experience even more enjoyable. Their expertise added a special touch to the camel ride, making it a memorable part of my desert adventure. I highly recommend this camp for anyone seeking an outstanding desert retreat.”
