Nestled at such a beautiful location, I could just hang out here all day (and I did!). The garden is amazing, the food healthy and very tasty. The dorm is clean, comfortable and cosy. The people are extremely nice and helpful. Dora and Kanchi make for excellent paw friends. A wonderful stay to reconnect with nature and with yourself.

Everything about our stay was amazing! From the clean and comfortable room facilities, to the beautiful view. The homemade organic food was something that everybody has to try, as well as their delicious drinks! There was a great vibe to the whole place. The staff and guests were especially welcoming, and we had a great stay! We will definitely be back in the future!

One of the best stays for solo ladies travellers. Very comfortable though it gets a bit colder at night. The owners are really sweet and generous people. People who want peace with a great view of kanchanjunga. Good organic ethnic food. Loved the stay.

Had a great two night stay at the female dorm at Wake in Himalayas. The dorm is spacious, super clean, with individual plug points. The washroom is right outside the dorm, and is very clean, with (much needed) hot water available. Run by a family, the service is super warm and homely, and the food delicious. I loved the view from the common area / dining area - expansive mountains give you company :) the WiFi was fast and reliable as well. Laundry facilities / washing machine available at nominal extra charges. Rooms: Very clean and spacious dorm rooms. Private rooms are available as well. Food and drinks: Lovely food! Lovingly prepared and served. Had a thaali for dinner which was very reasonably priced. Breakfast had aloo parantha, bread omelette available, tea. Also offer a range of drinks including local brews.

The hostel is located below Lower Pelling - to get to the town, an inside walking track takes you 15 minutes. It’s an uphill climb and could be a bit strenuous - but it’s a very peaceful and green walk through some local homes. Alternatively, there is a longer, flatter route through the main road. It’s a little away from the town (and hence v cosy and quiet), and it might be helpful to have a vehicle to go around (scooters and bikes available on rent).

I stayed in female dom for more than 10 days.. the property comes with the view of beautiful mountains , cleanliness, a lovely garden, simple & great food , and mainly an adorable family who hosted me with love & care… It was truly a special experience filled with comfort, beauty, and hospitality 🙂

I was lucky enough to visit the stay on Diwali. I got to witness their local festival and culture and they all were very welcoming and involving. The food was great, people were great. Special thanks to Nishal for picking me up, Rubina for the tasty food, and Anita for the amazing special Chhaang. And also Naresh and Rupa for being the sweetest host.

It's just a little far from the main city. But that can be a good thing as well for someone.

Cleanliness was top-notch. Family was very helpful and soft spoken, they provided the services better than 5star hotels. Everything was perfect, food was freshly served and they use organic vegetables from their own garden. This place is little distant from the hustle and bustle of the main area and that makes perfect for chilling amidst the nature. Would recommend this place to solo travellers, group of friends as the road is little stiff so elderly people may face difficulty but everything other than this was perfect.

Not very easy to reach. During first night I didn’t have electricity and the phone was off the next day 😔, but it can happen… the bathroom for shower is not located in the same building of bedroom.

One of the best properties I have ever stayed. Scenic view of kanchenjunga peak is the best thing to watch early in the morning at 5am. The food, people, their humbleness, dogs and cats everything is exceptional. I would recommend this stay to everyone who wants to live in peace and far away from chaos.

We liked the place in its entirety. The offbeat location, nicely decorated rooms, pleasant ambience, sweet and humble nature of hosts and not to miss their lovable pet "Kaali"! Had a great experience staying here and savouring the beauty of this place along with tasty homely food prepared by hosts!

The location is insanely beautiful, with a view of Kanchenjunga every morning when the clouds part. In a cute mountain valley, much nicer than staying in the town. They serve breakfast for free and have a dinner you can request at night time. The staff is extremely kind and the beds are some of the most comfortable ive stayed in all of india. I booked for two nights and ended up staying for the week!

The nature of mountain towns leads to power shortages which can cut wifi and water around the place. However this is for all hotels and hostels in the mountains so its not the fault of the hostel owner. If you work from home, make sure you have data and you'll be completely fine, there around 3 or 4 bars of 4g data avaliable for airtel at the hostel.

The property is also home to a family of 4 and, therefore, very well maintained and clean. The food is home-cooked by aunty, and most ingredients come from the kitchen garden. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and modern. And the view is simply amazing. Plenty of common areas to sit and enjoy the view. The property is right next to Mochilero Ostello.

The property is hidden away and quite away from the Pelling crowd. Neatly maintained and hospitality was great. And great food. There were not much during our stay so it made it very quiet.

Situated a little away from the city in Singyang village, this place is a hidden gem. Neat and clean beds, breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga and tasty organic food are the pros of this place. The place is owned and managed by the Gurung family, each of them very sweet and helpful. Highly recommend.

The hostel is great in itself but the hosts are exceptional people. Over the course of my stay, all I received was love, love, and love 🌸 Coming here again..

The Gurungs have an excellent homestay set up here. The private room that I booked was cozy and comfy. Kitchen space and bathroom were shared with other guests but it barely felt so. There was a feeling of community among other guests and the owners are hospitable, generous and we'll informed. If you love animals and kids and need a room with a view, THIS is the place to stay in Pelling. You can also opt for meals which are priced at 150-200. Breakfast was complimentary. Bike/scooter rentals can also be acquired here. At night you have bonfire, song-dance. Highly recommended 💕

It was one of the best trips of my life. The view from the hostel is mesmerizing. And The people there are so nice and they treat you as their own family.

I came with no expectations when I arrived, but the homestay exceeded them in every way. The remote location brought stunning views of the snow-capped Mt.Kanchenjunga right from my room. The warmth and hospitality of the homestay owners Naresh Daju, Aunty, Rubina, Nishal, and Ashmit made it truly special. Bonfires, music, and a variety of local drinks, including the delightful rhododendron wine and Tongba, added to the charm. The organic, delicious food crafted by Auntie, with a focus on homegrown ingredients, sealed the deal. While staying there, I felt like family; the homestay was a true home away from home. I even supported and cheered for Naresh daju and Ashmit for their football game, I immersed myself in the local spirit of Pelling and joined the audince. The local people made me feel like I was not an outsider. Amidst leisure, I connected with nature in a profound way, away from city life, surrounded by mountains, hearing birds, bees, and feeling the soothing wind. It was a surreal experience, offering solitude and seclusion from the crowd. Little Srishtika, the sweetest kid there, added an extra layer of joy to my stay. Her morning and evening visits, calling me 'Dada,' made me feel even more connected to this special place. This connection compels me to return, as it was a place of tuanquility that I hadn't experienced in a very long time. A perfect blend of nature, hospitality, local life, and unforgettable moments. I left with a heart full of gratitude and memories that will last a lifetime ❤️ I am definitely coming back here soon!

Oh man! This is the best hostel I have been to in Sikkim. The whole family is the sweetest and warmest, you cannot have enough of the view or the love from the family or the food that aunty makes. The entire experience was ABSOLUTELY wholesome! ❤️ Definitely coming back.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Wake in Himalayas which was earlier called Mochilero Ostello. From the vibrant atmosphere to the stunning view of Mt. Kanchenjunga right from my dorm, every moment was delightful. The people, including Naren dada, aunty, Rubeena, Nishal, Ashmit, Anita, and the charming little girl Sristika, made me feel like a part of their family. The homemade meals were a highlight, prepared with fresh vegetables from their garden and accompanied by delicious chutneys. Originally booking for just one day, I extended my stay to 7 days, finding it hard to leave this welcoming environment. The experience was so memorable that I've decided to make it my second home. I even joined in the excitement of the West Sikkim football tournament, supporting Naren dada and Ashmit's teams. For exploration, bike rentals were conveniently available, adding to the overall enjoyment of my stay.

Sometimes it's so cloudy that Kanchenjunga is not visible 😐

Everything about the place is quiet and peaceful. And then when you wake up in the morning, from your room when you look outside of the window, you realise the mighty Kanchanjunga is just right in front of you, looking at you. That felt amazing. And the food here is exceptional. Everything is organic and yumm. I also got to taste the local tungba drink which is soo good. People are amazing... This place is a must to visit and stay... Just stay :)
