Be careful in booking in this property, i didnt get the room that i booked months ago. We were cramped up in a small room, as the room that i booked is not avaliable as per staff, they offered an extra room but only told me about the available room,a day before our check out.

OUTCLASS. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT

Overall experience is outstanding. Reception area is spacious and bright. Receptionist Julian is very friendly and professional, always has a smile on her face. Corridors are clean and bright. My room has distant views and even a fraction of the Victoria Harbour scenery. Everything else is tidy and clean. To sum up, its the best accommodation experience in Hong Kong for the price paid. Keep it up...

The Chungking Mansion is a third world trip. The Rhine Guesthouse is on the 13th floor and the small elevators are slow. The elevators are in an “arcade” of Indian restaurants and money changers. It’s a gritty place, the rooms are small and spartan. The staff, though, was very nice and helpful, the rooms are clean and you are probably in the best spot in Kowloon for sightseeing.

Clean room and they provide room cleaning service. Convenient and walkable neighborhood. Make sure to pack some earplugs though because the door isn’t quite sound proof but it very much exceeded my expectations.

They tried to add $50hkd extra charges a day for cleaning of room, plus $45hkd taxes. After 45 minutes of haggling they made us just pay the $45hkd 'taxes'. Felt like a full on scam as we had a baby with us and needed somewhere to stay. Room was clean and small but building is old and full of dodgy characters. Be very careful booking here, the price on Expedia is not the price they will charge you at the place.

ベッドが一台入る部屋の狭さにビックリ。エアコンの音がとてもうるさくて全然寝れなかった。ビル自体がとても古く、複雑な構造で火災があったら逃げれるかとても不安だった。受付が最上階でエレベーターも偶数階用、奇数階用と分かれていて乗れる人数も5人くらいが限界で、非常に不便。エアコンがうるさくなければ、その他の設備等はまだ我慢できる範囲。香港は土地が高いから仕方ないのは理解してるが、さすがに次泊まる事はない。

Good choice for thrift people

我們這次的住宿經驗有些小小的狀況。原本預訂的是雙人房，但實際上被安排到單人房，有點不符期待。 建議飯店在訂房說明中清楚標示需前往16樓辦理入住手續，避免像我們一樣被一樓電梯旁的樓層指示誤導。我們誤上13樓，最後是靠路人指引，才從樓梯上到16樓，樓梯間空氣品質不佳，有霉味與煙味，濕氣也偏重。 電梯的使用也較為複雜，分為單層與雙層運行，初次搭乘時容易混淆。還有，樓層僅設有下樓按鈕，如需上樓則需下到一樓重新搭乘。 入住期間還遇到一次跳電，雖然冷氣沒有受到影響，但仍讓人稍感不安。電梯前的服務人員態度也不算親切，整體接待體驗可以再加強。 不過，若只是短暫停留、單純睡覺或放行李，這裡的地點方便、價格親民，仍是可考慮的選項。建議未來能加強硬體說明與接待品質，會讓整體體驗更完善。

The room is small, it’s common in Hong Kong, but it has everything we need. The front desk lady is super nice, she gave us many suggestions on sightseeings, transportation and dining places, which saved a lot of money for us. The location is unbeatable, only 10 mins walk to Victoria Harbor; local street food and restaurants just down the street.

The reality is that this place is the cheapest that you are going to find in Hong Kong, but it's cheap for a reason. Pros: - Good location. There is a tube station across the road and lots of shops and restaurants around it. - Very affordable - The staff were generally really friendly Cons: - I saw maybe one cockroach a day (although I have saw cockroaches in a lot of places I've stayed in Asia - even big new fancy high-rise buildings). I did see a rat in the stairwell to the building though which was a little more shocking. - The Wifi was great when it worked, but would cut out every 30 minutes or so and just not connect. - The room is very small. Fortunately they gave me a room with two beds so I had somewhere to put my suitcase. - There are two lifts for the whole building (which contains guestrooms and homes). At peak times, you may have to wait 5 or so minutes to get into the lift. A lot of the guest houses in this building appear to be managed by the same people from what I could see, so if you're happy with the above, I would suggest just booking the cheapest. They're all about the same price but some do work out a little cheaper. This building has a bit of a legendary status in HK (for both good and bad reasons). I heard that it used to be ran by the Triads, and if I said to anyone that I'm staying in TST and "it's not the greatest", they would ask if I was staying in Chunking Mansion. Some may like experiencing this historical building.

Room was not very big. But there was everything what i needed

Skulle være i hong kong i to dager for å se byen med familien (4 personer). Vi bestilte familie rom. Rommet er i 16 etasje og man tar en heis opp. Heisen osv er ganske greit men rommet er veldig trangt. Det er akkurat nokk plass til to i sengen. Men for prisen er det helt greit. Veldig sentralt og god plassering med alt i hong kong i nærheten. I tillegg er det lett med taxi, T-bane og alt like utenfor døren!

Its pretty clean overall, but the room is a little small. But you can't expect that much for the price. And the elevator wait time can be a little bit long.

The staff was good and approachable. The room or hotel is small but clean and it's affordable for a solo budget traveler. Safe here. No need to worry. There is also a Filipino receptionist.

Room was a decent size for the area, most are quite compact. There was a window and working air conditioning. The room was clean and cleaned daily. Reception were very helpful and we're able to store our luggage. Facilities - water and microwave availabile.

Stay was wonderful for the price paid. Enjoyed my time there. Bed was comfortable.

Location very good but room very small so not good

If i could give a negative number i would gladly do so. We were not even given the same room booked and instead given a run down room under 'Delta Hotel' on a different floor that the management look after. The bathroom window and doors were cracked and taped together and toilet seat was too small for the toilet and only had water to flush every now and then. It looks nothing like the pictures. The walls were covered in mould and the tiles were all broken around the pipes connecting the tap. They told me the room had been recently renovated when i brought this up and brushed me off when I continued to question them. This was hard to believe as the bathroom door did not close so we could not sleep without the smell of the bathroom in the tiny cramped room we were put in. Booked for 14 nights and stayed 4 as my children were bitten by bugs. When we told management that we could see ants on the bed, they told me that 'the ants like you' which is a totallly disgusting response. Pay a bit extra and stay elsewhere. Be careful as they have other hotel names under the same group.

It was not Rhine property showned on the page. They took me first to a different location which was horrible. Then took me to another location. Also they charged 53hkd for cleaning fee when check in. This was a terrible experience, worst experience so far

Too small space and lots of bugs

基本上這邊的住宿讓我有很好的經驗，房間內部很乾淨，旅社內部的營運也很用心。 這棟大樓樓下雖然人比較複雜，但是我覺得那應該不是問題。香港的狀況就是這樣，地小人稠，能以這樣的價格獲得相對整潔的環境，來這邊住個幾天辦一點事情，還算是很方便的。

旅慣れている人なら、許せる範囲内だろう。 10数年ぶりに使った自分としては、最初入った瞬間は愕然とし、すぐにでもホテルを替えたかったが、一日の終わりにシャワーして一息ついたら、『ああ、こんな感じだったなあ』と諦めがついた。 決して不潔でもなく、お湯もでるしトイレも水洗だし、けれど間取りが異様なだけで、それに慣れてしまえばなんとかなるもの。 滞在中、一匹の蚊もGも出なかったし。 でも、初心者の方にはお薦めはしません。

The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. Our check in was still at 2pm but they allowed us to have an early check in at 11am without any additional charge, and also extended our check out from 11am to 12:45pm without. Thank you for making our stay very convenient and memorable. Excellent location and very friendly hotel.

　最初は場所がわかりづらく迷いました。帝国ホテルの隣の重慶マンションにあるゲストハウスです。観光するのにとても適した場所でした。駅近！！施設に関しては、トイレの水が溜まりにくいとかありましたが、短期間の滞在だったので、満足してます。
