Excellent property, superb staff (friendly, responsive, service and thoughtful), great food (excellent chef and restaurant staff). Beautifully constructed and spread over a large green area.

We had an amazing stay at Ladakh Eco resort last month. This serene property is spread over an expansive area with beautiful cottages for accommodation. The staff - be it the front desk or the housekeeping or at the restaurant - all extremely polite and helpful. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The food menu had great variety and was yumm. Under the helm of Norbu this property checks all the boxes

It’s a bit of a drive from the main market area, but that’s fine since the roads are well paved.

Thanks for expanding this. Oxygen concentrators and other amenities are there for those who need them, and it really shows the property cares about health and well-being. The heating tower was the best new thing from last time. Ajay Sharma from the front office has looked after me as usual, and I look forward to coming back soon. They do a fabulous job with all the meals.

the Resort is very Call, sits on the hills and has a very nice Garden. The staff is very helpfull and gave good advices how to prepare our Ladakh Travel. The Food Served in the Restaurant was exzellent. In Order to Go to LEH market you need to get a Taxi, which then takes 10 min. For us it was a Perfect Location our Leh roundtrip aclimatisation and preparation

Ladakh Eco Resort is a fabulous property. The rooms are cozy, silent and clean. I had the best rest here throughout our Ladakh trip! The views are super with many birds swooping in.

My husband and I are very into natural architecture so this place spoke to us and lived up to our expectations! Each cottage is so thoughtfully designed and beautiful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. We loved that it was about a 5 minute drive from town in a more village-like setting where it’s quieter. The breakfast is amazing! Definitely recommend staying!

One point of feedback is that we did not much care for the dinner. Which was surprising because the breakfast was so good.

Staff, the food and the ambience was good.

The cottages had bugs inside, the door to the balcony had its latch broken. There was no room temperature controller. It was cold all the time, and using a heater was risky while sleeping

Very nice staff-always helpful and prompt. Great food! Resort is surrounded by trees, nice flowers, veggie garden, peaceful and quiet. The host, Wangchuk Norboo, was very courteous and polite. Always available, caring and sensitive to our needs. Even his cousin, Deldan, who took us around, was very professional, patient and helpful. Bonfire in the evening with freshly cooked Indian stuffed bread! Really an enjoyable and great experience! Michela and Jay

Stating this in a positive light rather than a negative comment. Considering that it is an eco-resort and constructed using earthen materials, attracts little critters, which sometimes can be bothersome. Did mention to the owner to put better seals at the bottom of the doors and put some repellants aligned with Buddhist philosophy to not kill and poison the environment.

Das Angebot der Speisen war sehr eingeschränkt. Hängt wohl mit der Auslastung in dieser Jahreszeit zusammen. Hatte nur für 2 Nächte gebucht, der sehr freundliche Manager hat ein paar Touren organisiert und somit werde zum Abschluss hier noch ein mal einchecken.

Perfect place for acclimatisation days in Leh. Could stare out of the giant windows and into their gorgeous gardens all day (which is what we ended up doing). Food was top notch too and the staff super friendly and welcoming. ❤️

Rooms were clean, comfortable, and well equipped, with great breakfasts and friendly, professional service throughout. Reception and the owners were always on hand and really helpful with local tips, even assisting with a regional SIM card when Airtel roaming didn’t work. The garlic soup was a standout! Location is a little out of town so taxis can take time— a shuttle would be a great addition. In the sunshine the setting is beautiful, while in the rain it’s all about huddling around the heater. Overall, a warm and welcoming stay.. Rent a motorbike. It's the way! Thank you to Norboo and team

Acclimatizing to altitude. We slept a whole day.

Wir konnten das Hotel nicht voll genießen, weil wir unglücklicherweise mitten in einer starken Regenperiode ankamen und somit vier Tage nur im Regen saßen. Das Frühstück war gut, der Service war ausgezeichnet, die Betten komfortabel und die Anlage bei schönem Wetter sicherlich sehr schön. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit. Wann ist dann auch noch sehr kalt wurde, hat von uns einen Heizlüfter in das Zimmer gestellt.

The rooms weren’t airy and we had to open the windows permanently for ventilation.

Myself and 4 friends had been riding for 9 days prior to our stay. The choice was made to have somewhere to rest and it was the perfect location. The accomodation was amazing, relaxing space, comfortable in every respect. Large rooms, great facilities, would stay again.

Only item I would highlight, being european all the advice says only use bottled water, the filtered water supplied had us all boiling the water first as precaution, probably unnecessary, but the concern over getting ill is important. Be good to have some bottled water, (but appreciate may go against ethics of an eco resort to use plastic).

Le stanze sono delle piccole casette sparse per un "parco" molto curato, avevamo un balconcino che ti permetteva di goderti il verde. Le camere erano pulite e confortevoli, il bagno era all'occidentale e molto funzionale! Staff disponibile e gentile.

Il ristorante è un po' impersonale e i piatti sono ok, ma niente di eccezionale. La posizione è a circa 15 minuti di taxi dal centro (non abbiamo avuto problemi con i receptionist a chiamare i taxi a qualsiasi ora del giorno e della notte)

The restaurant has excellent food!

We stayed at three different hotels in Leh in between our excursions and hikes in August 2025, and we had high hopes for this one, given that it was more costly than average prices in Leh. Unfortunately, we were very unsatisfied with our choice! The hotel is very far from the center or any shops or restaurants, only accessible by taxi, which limits your mobility. Moreover, the internet was extremely poor (at the beginning, we had no connection but even by installing a mobile router, it was still unstable), and some of the window blinds were not working. Upon checking in, we had to wait for a long time (almost an hour) before our room was ready (although we were checking in within the given time slot). We arrived at the breakfast buffet at 8:15 (15min after the start) but unfortunately, a large group before us had already finished most of what was offered, and the staff was hardly able to replenish the food. Finally, perhaps a small thing but despite a staff member showing us our cottage upon arrival, nobody was helping us drag our bags up and down the stairs...

Nous y avons passé un mois merveilleux et très agréable ! Norboo le responsable est très attentionné, accueillant, respectueux, aimable et de bon conseil. Toute l’équipe est est à l’image de Norboo. L’endroit est paisible, verdoyant et bien entretenu. Les lodges disposant d’une terrasse sont spacieuses, bien conçues et joliment décorées. Le restaurant est spacieux. La cuisine est délicieuse. Tout est fait pour rendre le séjour agréable ! Un tout grand MERCI à toutes et tous ! Nous y reviendrons assurément !

Wifi quelque peu aléatoire.

Where do we begin.. from the time we checked in to the check-out, the entire experience was simply amazing! The room was cosy and thoughtfully done. The breakfast spread and quality of food were great. The staff was super helpful & courteous! And the location of the resort is just perfect.. Nestled away from the city in its own quiet and silence. Special mention for Umer & Norbu for going out of their way to help out and make our stay memorable.

We regret that we didn't stay an additional night!! We highly recommend staying 3 nights.. 1st night when you arrive to acclimatize, second day to rest and explore the nearby Leh market etc and 3rd day to actually go around and see the various places of interest around Leh.

Perfect place to start or end your Ladakh trip. Full of nature. We absolutely enjoyed it! Food is yummy, staff is helpful and super friendly. Loved all garden and greens. Away from Leh city centre.

Really got confused about location and first was very disappointed. But then we actually liked that it’s like 15-20 min away from city centre. Google maps show correct location, booking.com needs to be corrected.

Amazing hotel. Staff is really nice and they were extremely supportive when I suffered from acute mountain sickness. Without them being so attentive, I probably wouldn’t have gone to the hospital which could have ended badly. The property is beautiful as are the little bungalows. Very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was nice. The reception staff helped us organize cabs when we wanted to go to the market. They also arranged the most amazing driver for our 3 days trip through Ladakh.

You need to pay an advance, however, they don’t seem to be aware that international tourists cannot easily make a bank transfer to India. If you require an advance payment, please make sure that you offer a payment method that accepts international cards. Also, their booking account has been hacked so I had been receiving weird messages for months prior to my stay. That was a bit annoying. When the request for an advance payment came, I was really confused because I first couldn’t tell whether it was a scam or not. However, they were available on WhatsApp to clarify the matter.

Excellent location

excellent food, nice green property, very supportive staff, good view of mountains, nice clean spacious cottages, away from hustle bustle of city, quiet surroundings- suitable for people who wish to stay away from crowd and noise yet not away from civilization.

The resort is located outside the main city. The room which was allotted to us was at the very end and one had to cross the road late in night with very few lights. The rooms were clean. However, the breakfast had very limited options and forcing guests to come as soon as possible so that they can close their business soon for the morning. They could have done better with spa facilities at the resort. Overall, the room was okay but since it was located at the very end it is difficult to locate the same during night.

We stayed for 6 nights in this beautiful resort. A quiet place in a beautiful garden with astonishing views of the mountains. The room (Langmar) was spacious, clean and equipped with everything you need. It woold have been perfect if there was a safety deposit box in the room. The breakfast was good and the lunch also with very reasonable prices. The staff was outstanding and doing everything to make our stay great. Especially the staff in the restaurant. The Wifi in the room was very good. It was a great stay and we recommend this place absolutely.

Rooms are big.

No Wifi in rooms. Wifi works only in the reception. Forget being able to watch your favourite movie with family, the rooms are too far from the common area, just to deliver a simple message, one needs to take a walk to the reception. The hotel managers were rude. We asked for check-out after 30 mins of arriving but were charged 35k for three rooms for the entire day. Would have liked them to be more empathetic and charge us less, since we had a genuine problem.
