The property is located just off the main road so in easy distance of the beach and restaurants. The hotel is excellent value for money! Comfortable bed with hot water and a nice balcony :) the staff were friendly and gave the feeling of staying with a family.

The WiFi worked great for the first night but then the last two nights it dropped and it was impossible to work.

Le personnel est très agréable et disponible. La chambre est spacieuse avec un petit coin cuisine , une terrasse confortable et a seulement 5 minutes a pieds de la plage . Climatisation qui fonctionne très bien avec un ventilateur au plafonds et une literie confortable.

La chambre n'est pas nettoyé tout les jours et cela manqué de serviettes.

Пляж здесь отличный, протяжённый, с хорошими волнами.Буквально в 10-15 мин находится пляж с черепахами. Wi-Fi бесплатный по всей территории . В каждом номере есть кондиционер, балкон, личный сейф, зона отдыха, а также внутренний дворик и садовая мебель . Из некоторых номеров открывается вид на город . Отель предлагает: · Трансфер из/до аэропорта (за отдельную плату) · Услуги консьержа и гида · Приветственный напиток при заезде Кроме того, есть круглосуточные камеры видеонаблюдения . Отдыхали семьей с детьми и нам все понравилось.

Das Hotel war super ! Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett und Hilfsbereit. Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Strandes und man kann es innerhalb von 2 min zu Fuß erreichen. :)

We got a big suite on the last floor with incredible view to the ocean, palms and sunset. The balcony is big enough and is for 2 sides. AC, Fan, big fridge, kitchen and bathroom with the wndow towards palms. Just enjoyed staying there. Special thanks to Vicum.

Всё очень понравилось! Отличное местоположение, очень гостеприимные хозяева, которые помогали решить любой вопрос, отвозили нас на тук-туке когда мы их просили. Замечательная собака при отеле)). До пляжа 5-7 мин. Рекомендую!

Sijainti lähellä rantaa, pääkatua ja palveluita, mutta silti rauhallinen. Henkilökunta avuliasta ja helposti tavoitettavissa, kaikki olivat hyvin ystävällisiä. Hotelli tarjosi palveluita yksilöllisesti, organisoivat mm. kyydityksiä ja retkille pääsyä. Huoneissa oli tehokkaat ilmastoinnit ja siisti yleisilme. Tämä oli osa meidän häämatkaa ja hotelli halusi tämän vuoksi järjestää meille yllätyksen. Huoneemme oli koristeltu todella nätiksi ja siellä meitä odotti muistaminen heidän puolestaan. Voimme suositella hotellia.

Spotlessly clean and freshly decorated room with everything you need run by a lovely family and down a side road a stone’s throw from all the great bars, beach and beach bars and restaurants.

I liked everything about the property and it could only be made better with a chest of drawers in the room

We love the people here, stayed a few times over 3 years and they are always so welcoming and helpful. Rooms are a good size with everything you need for a comfortable stay and cooking facilities too. Hot powerful shower and good AC. Very close to main road with cafes and shops and close to beach.

Самое главное как вас встречают хоть и в 4 утра хозяин с улыбкой все чемоданы поднимет у нас был 4 этаж , нас было 4-о. Вид со всех сторон , океан видно хотя ты находишься на 2 ой линии . В отеле все как на фотографии все красиво чисто есть кондиционер и вентилятор. Кухня тоже все что надо кастрюльки тарелки все все есть Если писать все плюсы тут не хватит места, я всем довольна все было отлично проживали там 13 дней

Sehr gemütliches familiengeführtes Hotel etwas zurückgesetzt von der Hauptstraße, tolle Freundlichkeit. Besitzer übernimmt auch Tuktukfahrten in die Umgebung (Bahnhof, Coral Reef)

Стильный и очень комфортный отель. В номере есть плитка, посуда, холодильник. Можно приготовить завтрак или ужин при необходимости. Находится недалеко от моря- пешком 5 мин. Рядом есть супермаркет, много кафе и ресторанов. Пляж чистый, просторный, народу не много. На пляже работают спасатели, всё под контролем. Так же на пляже есть предложения по серфингу. Рядом пляж с черепахами. Ехали в отель по рекомендации друзей, которые второй год в нём отдыхают и на следующий год собираются снова. Нам очень понравилось!

The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Anytime we asked them for anything, they were very quick to help. The hotel is in a great location, about two minutes walk from the beach. Great views from the balcony, unfortunately there was some building work going on in front of the balcony but it wasn't too disruptive (other than for the view). The room was fairly clean, but there were a lot of ants which freaked us out a bit. however after they cleaned the room partway through our stay, there were a lot less ants. They also have a lovely dog and cat which we very much enjoyed playing with! Absolutely recommend this hotel.

They said there was a sofa bed, but it isn't a pull out bed or anything, just a regular sofa. We had to request extra sheets for it BUT the staff immediately gave us those sheets and were very quick and eager to help. In the end, instead of using the sofa bed, we were able to separate one of the double beds into two singles which solves the problem. There were a lot of ants, but with a bit of bug spray and trying to keep the place clean definitely helped.

Clean hotel with big and comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen. Also has a balcony. Location is good, near beach and restaurants.

Unfortunately Near a disco/club you can hear the bass at night. Also train tracks are not far away, but that’s everywhere in Hikka the case, so no big deal. The club is more annoying.

Great location just behind the main street - so reasonably quiet but good access to the beaches and shops. Spacious and well equipped. My bed was so comfortable and rooms air conditioned. The host was very helpful and attentive - eg we asked for a long handled squeegie to help dry out the wet room quicker after a shower.

There are a lot of stairs up to the 4th floor which was no problem for us but worth considering if mobility is an issue.

Nothing. When I arrived at the hotel they had rented out the room I booked to some foreign tourists. I had to rush to book another place at higher price to stay the night.

На второй день после заезда накормили нас вкусным ужином😋Хозяева очень гостеприимны и выполняли наш любой каприз 🙏 отель новый все чисто и современно! Провожали нас всей семьей, спасибо за гостеприимство 🙏 До океана две минуты просто перейти дорогу. Рядом магазины, кафе, до рыбного рынка минут 20 идти пешком, либо тук тук за 400 рупий там же есть супермаркет и фруктово-овощной рынок. Трансфер туда и обратно организовали тоже хозяева)

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, and it was equipped with a mini kitchen. The staff were extremely friendly and always ready to help. The location is perfect, making it easy to reach the beach within a short walk. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and pleasant stay. We will definitely visit again!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The family who runs it are incredibly friendly. They welcomed us with a drink and were always available to help. The hotel is in a perfect central location, right next to the main street with shops and restaurants, and just a short walk to the beaches. Our room was very spacious, with air conditioning, a well-equipped bathroom, and everything was spotlessly clean. And their dog is absolutely adorable! Without a doubt, this is a hotel we would love to return to.

Новый, современный отель со всеми удобствами. Находится через дорогу от пляжа, идти буквально 1 минуту. Номера просторнее, чем обычно на шри ланке. горячая вода, хороший напор. Много розеток, новые кондиционеры, которые отлично работают. Есть место для работы. Хороший жесткий матрас. Есть мини кухня, утварь и даже тостер, готовили себе тосты с местным джемом. Гостеприимные хозяева, которые помогали с вопросами, организовали трансфер в аэропорт по разумной цене. Даже пригласили на день рождения, это было мило) Сначала арендовали на три ночи, но в итоге остались еще на неделю. Понравилось, уютно, хорошо и удачное расположение.

Когда заезжали, слив в душе был не самый чистый, но хозяин извинился и нас сразу переселили в другой номер. Когда вернулись в отель еще на неделю - такой проблемы уже не было. Интернет для работы не тянет, хотя в отели три точки подключения, инстаграм так же плохо грузился. Работали через раздачу мобильного интернета. На ресепшне интернет лучше.

Просторный номер, свой балкон с видом на пальмы, терасса, очень удобные кровати, своя кухня в номере, заботливый хозяин.

Сложно отрегулировать воду в душе, она то горячая то холодная.

Insgesamt war es ein wirklich guter Aufenthalt, ohne Probleme. Das Personal war wirklich sehr freundlich und hat uns gute Tips für die weitere Reise gegeben. Man wurde auch direkt mit einer gratis Kokosnuss empfangen. Das Zimmer war sauber, das Bett bequem. Die Unterkunft liegt nicht direkt am Strand ist aber wirklich fussläufig nur einige wenige Minuten entfernt.

Durch Renovierungsarbeiten im Erdgeschoss wirkte es ein wenig unfertig, hatte Abend wenig Einfluss auf den Aufenthalt.

Fabulous room in a great location. Room was spacious, clean and had cooking facilities, though we did not use. Our room also had a fridge/freezer which was great for our water and any snacks. Hot water from the shower. Staff were so helpful and accommodating, arranged airport transfer for us and also gave us a late checkout when they found our our flight home was late in the evening, this was much appreciated 😊 would highly recommend! Thank you.

Great location and at a fabulous price.

I've shortened my stay in December and I still haven't received money back for the days I haven't stayed there. Accommodation was actually half under construction. They had flexible booking where you can always cancel so I shortened my stay but didn't get the money. If you are searching peace and quiet this is definetly not for your.

I had a delightful stay at Blue Whales. The ambiance was serene, and the accommodations were well-maintained, ensuring a peaceful retreat. While a small improvement like a glass door in the shower could enhance convenience, it didn't overshadow the overall positive experience. I applaud the staff for their warm hospitality, making my visit memorable.

There was only AC in one bedroom but everything else was perfect

This is a new hotel. It is super clean, tastefully decorated and has really nice higher end spec fittings. Absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful staff, who you could have a laugh with. Our room was a great size, complete with a kitchen area with sink & cooking utensils, toaster, kettle, etc., even a fridge freezer. Massive, comfortable bed. Excellent air con and powerful fan. Good sized bathroom with great hot shower. Lovely balcony area to watch the wildlife (which we saw lots). Excellent location just off the main road, so only 2 minutes from the beach. Lots of restaurants and shops on your doorstep. Stayed for 3 weeks and had a fabulous holiday. Would highly recommend Blue Whales and we would not hesitate to return. Thank you for a fantastic, peaceful stay.

Couldn't stay longer!!

The room had everything I needed, including a well-equipped kitchenette with all the essentials. From the bed to the furniture, it was all there. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting me from the moment I inquired about booking until the end of my stay. I had a wonderful time overall.

New hotel, short walk from beach

I had two main problems at check in: 1. I booked a one bedroom apartment (602 ft2) and was given a small room as seen in the pictures. The staff wasn't even sorry, and asked me to cancel my reservation. There was a two bedroom apartment available but they did not accept to upgrade me for free, so I got downgraded at the same price! To make it worse, they gave the 2 bedroom apartment to a girl the next day 'because she was crying', It was NYE, all other hotels were fully booked so I decided to stay. 2. The staff demanded that I keep my passport with them, that a copy is not sufficient. THIS IS AGAINST SRI LANKAN LAW, so please don't accept! I called a booking.com agent who resolved the matter and forced them to take a copy only. Besides all that, the hotel is located next to a club and the railway, so imagine all the noise both day and night. Moreover, there were no amenities whatsoever (soap, shower gel, toilet paper). I also had a lizard and huge insect in the room on different days. It's just very sad that my stay ended up like that, as only some effort would have made it a really good one
