This new hotel is very well located, was really comfortable, and is beautifully styled and finished. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Hikkaduwa.

The rooms were very modern and the whole place from the pool to the dining area was kept immaculate by the staff. The location is great for the beach and all of the good restaurants in this area. We ate somewhere different each day and never had to walk further than 10 minutes. Egg dishes in the morning were great. We'd definitely stay again if we came back here and would definitely recommend this part of town over Hikkaduwa beach area as it was significantly nicer and more relaxed. The beach here is also better and this is the better end of that beach (in our opinion at least!). Seaview room had a nice balcony for chilling out in the breeze and indulging in a bit of people/traffic watching. It's not a seafront hotel, so you can't see the beach etc, but if staying again I reckon the upgrade was worth it.

It didn't bother us as we're not light sleepers, but any hotel on this strip is going to get noise at night from the road (Sri Lankan buses love to honk at 1am) and the nearby train track. It seems the "Vibration hotel" a few doors down also lives up to its name on a Friday! It's all part of staying this close to the beach, but worth knowing if that kind of thing bothers you. We had breakfast included and whilst the egg dishes were super tasty, the Sri Lankan breakfast was really disappointing compared to our other hotels. Possibly as we were staying during the fuel crisis and it seemed like a lot of places had shortages/had been hit by far fewer tourists than normal for this time of year. Enough variety for 2-3 days, but if we stayed a similar length again (6 nights) we'd probably go pay-as-you-eat if it was cheaper and try some of the other options on that road.

The hotel is in a great location. Staff were really helpful with regards to checking in, checking out and any other queries we had. We would definitely come back to Temptation when we return to Hikkaduwa.

Temptation is a bit of paradise in Hikkaduwa. Hidden gem of a building with beautiful flowers that climb the inside balconies and walls. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and comfortable. The ice cold fruit juice after a long flight and taxi ride was so welcomed! The room was always cleaned to a great standard and the bed was comfortable- we slept so well each night. Breakfast was delicious. Good choice and high standard. The staff are great:friendly and accommodating and work so hard at what they do. Location wise: you are in the heart of some of the best places to eat/ drink and across the road from the beach. Whilst on the A2 road, traffic noise was not an issue. The manager is great and was able to organise anything we needed. He even gave us a small gift on our departure.

Our only negative was unrelated to the hotel itself. I can’t fault that, but the neighbouring hotel ‘Vibration ‘ Friday night party was incredibly loud - music until the early hours. Noise cancelling headphones / earplugs may help? It was only an issue on that one night.

Отель великолепный. Понравился современный дизайн, чисто и ухоженно абсолютно везде. Номер красивый с террасой. На террасе есть сушилка для вещей. Два больших шкафа, удобная большая кровать с балдахином. В душе есть все необходимое: гели мыло шампуни, хороший мощный фен. В целом, постарались сделать ремонт максимально герметичным, чтобы не образовывалась плесень от влажности и не было насекомых, за это спасибо большое! Все здание отеля в деревьях и цветах, подстриженный и ухоженный газон при входе - очень красиво! Видно как персонал заботится об этом месте. Уборка в номере каждый день, если хотите, но можно и просто поменять полотенца и взять две бутылки воды. Пляжные полотенца предоставляют. Завтраки по меню - готовят разные виды яиц, авокадо тосты, гранолу с орехами и фруктами, одно блюдо на выбор, так же можно выбрать чайник чая или кофе. Всегда к завтраку подают сок из микса фруктов - очень вкусный. Капучино, американо и тд оплачивается дополнительно. До пляжа через дорогу две минуты, магазины фруктов, лавки сувениров, рестораны до всего можно дойти пешком. Мы даже ходили пешком до черепашьего пляжа, но кто не любит ходить всегда есть тук-тук.

В номере, в раме зеркала завелись термиты и они грызли потихоньку эту раму, короче сыпалось с зеркала немного. Мы закрыли на это глаза, но это для персонала.

Das Zimmer war toll, auf zwei Stockwerken. Nachteil war, dass Bad/WC im 1. Stock gelegen sind. Da Zimmer im 3. Stock war, hatte es tolle Aussicht bzw. Meersicht. Frühstück war gut aber nicht allzu reichlich.

Everything . Great staff, peaceful place with no disturbance at all. Right on the main strip very close to restaurants and bars which made it even more convenient. Perfect for a calm and peaceful stay!

The hotel is beautifully designed, very clean and maintained. The rooms are really cozy with beautiful bathroom and lovely balcony with a view to jungle or to pool area. All Staff was excellent and very helpful and kind. Thank you for having me, will be back for sure.

The stay here was incredible. The staff were so friendly and always tried to help, whether it was with booking tours, fixing our tyre, clean towels, more water for the room etc. Breakfast was very good, it is worth the extra payment. Noise from the streets is to hear.

Best hotel on our two week trip. Clean, beautiful, modern, awesome room (sea view and two floors). The staff was friendly, the breakfast was delicious with choices like avocado toast or miso egg toast. The relaxing pool was perfectly placed in the shadow. Location is great with lots of nearby restaurants, kind of nice to be next to the beach instead of in it.

To know for the picky: Friday nights are loud due to next door bar/club. And the bathroom is not enclosed, just a louvered door to separate the bathroom.

Die Lage ist super für Hikkaduwa, alles ist direkt fußläufig erreichbar. Das Hotel Vibration ist in direkter Nachbarschaft, daher kann es am Freitag (Party im Hotel Vibration) etwas lauter sein. Sonst war aber alles super, daher nur einen Punkt Abzug.

Es war ein rundum toller Aufenthalt, mit sehr gutem Frühstück, super netten Service und toller Lage. Es waren die saubersten Zimmer die wir in Sri Lanka hatten.

Väldigt fräscht hotell. Rent, modernt, ingen lukt eller mögel. Rummen, badrum, balkong super. Frukosten jättebra. Väldigt vänlig personal.

Ett litet minus är läget på "fel sida om vägen" i förhållande till stranden men oss störde det inte alls - läget är väldigt bra med tanke på strand och omkringliggande restauranger.

Отличный отель, очень чисто - персонал старается, убирает территорию каждый день, чистит бассейн. Номера новые, сделаны со вкусом, у нас был номер с видом на бассейн. Персонал приветливый, всегда поможет и подскажет. Бассейн супер, мы всегда были в нём одни, не пересекались с другими гостями вообще. По цене и качеству отель превзошел свои ожидания, нам очень понравилось отдыхать на Хиккадуве в этом отеле. Пляж рядом и много разных кафе с вкусной едой.

Из минусов отметим, что по выходным в рядом стоящем заведении поют караоке до 12 ночи, музыка играет громко. В будние дни такой проблемы нет.

Cleanest hotel we have ever had in Asia.

The breakfast was the one of the best we had on our whole trip - lovely bread, and highly recommend the avocado with coconut. The eating area by the pool was so tranquil and you couldn’t hear any traffic noise. The rooms were spacious & exceptionally clean with high quality mattresses and mosquito nets. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Chathura who was so kind and helpful.

I’m being picky here, but the pool towels were strangely not near the pool and a staff memeber always had to go and get them?

The most pleasent stay in hotel Temptation. Staff was extremely friendly and took care of me. Beautiful rooms and whole hotel was very clean. I would come again and highly recommend this place for everyone. Nice restaurants nearby and easy access to beach. Lots of love to everyone in hotel temptation.

Geweldig hotel op een toplocatie in Hikkaduwa. Ongelofelijk lieve mensen, schoon zwembad, prachtige kamers met enorm fijne badkamer en lekker bed. Het ontbijt was het beste dat we tijdens onze reis (tot nu toe) hebben gehad. Elke ochtend weer een feestje. Het strand is op kruipafstand, alleen even de weg oversteken.

Dat is gelijk ook het enige nadeel: we hadden een klein beetje last van de drukke weg van Hikkaduwa. Maar ik zou dit hotel alsnog aan iedereen aanraden! Bedankt voor de fijne dagen!

El desayuno riquisimo, a elegir entre varios platos y con zumo y café o te. La piscina también muy agrable. Sitio de 10!

Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zudem sehr flexibel bei früheren Frühstückszeiten aufgrund von Aktivitäten. Das Hotel ist schön gestaltet und wird gut gepflegt. Die Mitarbeiter sind ständig etwas am machen. Reinigen oder Wartungen etc. Das Zimmer hat uns sehr gut gefallen und war sauber. Für diesen Preis ist es das beste Hotel welches wir in Sri Lanka hatten.

Das Wlan funktioniert teilweise super, teilweise schlecht. Dies war aber praktisch überall in Sri Lanka so.

Всё было хорошо.Номер ежедневно убирали,ежедневно добавляли бутылки с водой,чай,кофе,сливки ,сахар.Приветливый персонал.Разнообразие блюд по кухне,всегда свежее,готовят вкусно.Можно заказать персональные блюда.Прямо в номере был вай фай ,что явилась большим преимуществом при выборе данного отеля.Красивый вид на бассейн.Есть смотровая площадка для обзора на 360 градусов.Данный отель рекомендую,для комфортного и спокойного отдыха.

Хотелось пожелать по кухне, при оплате чека для проживающих данного отеля, не видеть дополнительной оплаты в 10% к стоимости заказа.Буквально рядом ,есть где покушать тоже самое,но без наценка.

Entsprechend der Lage mit Straße vor dem Hotel und Zuglinie nicht weit hinter dem Hotel nachts eher laut, aber mit Oropax ok. Dafür nah am Strand!!

Can’t fault. Perfect location in Hikkaduwa (right across the road from Salty Swarmis) and the beach. The room is beautiful and modern, has everything you need. Bed was super comfortable, and pool was bliss. The staff were so lovely and made a great coffee and breakfast. They also accommodated us for a later checkout when we had a late night flight. Would highly recommend for a stay in Hikkaduwa.

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the pleasant and positive hotel staff and immediately checked in. The hotel is small and cozy. I would like to note the cleanliness - everything is shiny, the rooms are cleaned daily. the room has a full standard set: WiFi, safe, minibar, hair dryer, minimal set of dishes. You can ask the staff for everything you need. our reservation was with breakfast, it takes a long time to cook, but it's delicious! my personal recommendation is shakshuka and avocado toast. The breakfast menu is small, and I got a little tired by the end of the trip, but it seems to me that it's like this almost everywhere. excellent location, everything is close: the beach, shops, restrooms, and a currency exchange office

I didn't notice any critical flaws. unless they cook in the kitchen for a long time, but you can beat that by ordering in advance.

The staff are so friendly, kind and helpful. They really made our stay. The location is very central to everything going on in Hikkaduwa. The pool is lovely and big enough to swim lengths. The room is styled and furnished to a very high standard and the bed was really comfy.

We booked this hotel 10 months in advance and all rooms were of the same room type on Booking.com. Therefore we booked a deluxe double room with balcony and breakfast included. On booking I requested a quiet room in the hotel. On arrival we were given a room on the ground floor (room 4). The ‘balcony’ looked directly onto a concrete wall. The room was very noisy as was directly next to the restaurant. Therefore we could hear all conversations in the restaurant and I am sure they could hear ours. This meant the room didn’t feel very private at all. The drains in the bathroom made a lot of noise I presume from when the upstairs rooms were having showers. The WiFi is very poor and can only be used for sending messages. We couldn’t use internet banking/weather app etc. Overall we were disappointed that despite booking so far in advance we were given a poor room. We do appreciate it was New Years Eve and the hotel was busy. The hotel staff did offer to move us the second night of our stay but given we were only staying two nights it didn’t seem worth packing all our stuff back up and moving for one night. I would avoid staying in room 3 or 4 (both on the ground floor) if you choose to book this hotel.

We had a fabulous stay at the Temptation hotel. The room was gorgeous, and so was the view, the breakfast and the pool. We were met by excellent personell who made sure our stay was great from start to finish. We highly recommend Temptation and Hikkaduwa.

The cleanest place we stayed during our 2 week journey through Sri Lanka. The place is very well maintained and very friendly staff.

Rooms are a little bit noisy due to the busy road, instead of 2 of the same pillows, offer 2 different ones.

The best hotel we’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka (out of 5 hotels on our trip). Everything was outstanding. The staff and service were fantastic and friendly. Delicious and well-priced food in the restaurant. The bed was very comfortable. Will recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat. Just beautiful!

Too expensive for what you get. Specially the service was bad. When we arrived no one explained anything about breakfast, and then next day we cannot order the sri lankan breakfast because you need to do it the previous day… They tried cooking something but it was definitely not enough/not the best

This hotel is excellent, which I never expected. Many hotel pictures show a more amazing beauty than it is. The real situation of Temptation is several times more than the picture. I have one thing to say, there is no such good hotel in Hikkaduwa like TEMPTATION. I would never hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. The friendly staff are always looking out for our comfort as well as our safety. Cleanliness is paramount. Will definitely come back

There was a party somewhere in the surrounding which was quite loud the first night. The second night some guests were loud late into the night.

This hotel is fresh end in good condition. Quiet in the night with “garden” view. Staff was very nice and the included breakfast was also good. Location is perfect for beach life.

Rave party at a Friday night. Very loud rave music very near in the garden. Kept on until at least 02 in the morning.
