We had dreamed of a stay in a waterfront *stuga* in Sweden. After a 1,500-kilometer journey, what a disappointment to discover a tiny house located far too close to the owner's home—and to find that the owner chose to disrupt the peace of our stay by carrying out construction work every day. It's too expensive for this offer.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026Die Lage ist traumhaft, ein Ort zum Erholen, der Gastgeber ist super nett, hat gute Tipps für Ausflüge. Schnelle Verbindung mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln nach Stockholm und unkompliziert auch herrliche Bootsausflüge möglich. Ist unbedingt weiter zu empfehlen.

Reviewed Jun 18, 2026- tolle Lage (Radtouren und Kajaktouren in der Umgebung sind sehr zu empfehlen, Lokale fußläufig leicht zu erreichen, kurze Wege nach Stockholm für Ausflüge) - gute Ausstattung - gut ausgestattete Küche - wunderschöne Aussicht - gemütliche Einrichtung - sehr nette Gastgeber (hilfreiche Tips für die Freizeitgestaltung in der Region, gut erreichbar, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit) Manfred ist ein toller Gastgeber, dem die Zufriedenheit seiner Gäste am Herzen liegt und der dennoch überhaupt nicht aufdringlich ist. Man hat trotz der Nähe zum Wohnhaus der Gastgeber nie das Gefühl dort nicht willkommen zu sein und konnte ganz für sich die Zeit genießen. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen, wenn wir nochmal die Schären erkunden möchten.

Reviewed Sep 20, 2025Het uitzicht is echt fantastisch en de guesthouse is klein maar superfijn. Knap hoe de eigenaren zoveel comfort in zo’n kleine ruimte hebben gestopt. Het is soms even passen en meten maar dat is het helemaal waard. Wat een fijne rustige plek om totaal te relaxen. Een megagrote supermarkt op een kwartiertje rijden (er gaat ook een bus) en twee restaurants om de hoek. We hebben ook leuk gewandeld in de buurt. Had ik al gezegd dat het uitzicht echt fantastisch is? Oh, en af en toe loopt er een hertje door de tuin of schiet er een eekhoorn voorbij 😀

Reviewed Jul 3, 2023Very nice house in a wonderful location. Manfred is extremely friendly and always eager to help. The possibility to be able to visit Stockholm via bus, but still be out in the wonderful nature is a great balance ❤️
The house is a bit small (not much space to store/organize personal items), but OK for two people.

Reviewed Jul 2, 2023Very peaceful overlooking a waterway with enough marine traffic to make it interesting. Good swimming at the bottom of the garden. Bikes and boat to borrow were great. Hosts delightful.
It might feel quite small if the weather not so good. It was fine for us as we had lovely weather.
