As the name suggest, it is a serene place tucked down a back road with good access to nearby areas to explore. The host was the best part though as they were very attentive and provided coconut, guava, and banana from their property every morning.

Man wird mit "Welcome home" begrüßt und ich finde das sagt schon einiges. Ich bin so froh, dass ich 8 Nächte bei Odelia übernachtet habe. Sie steht einem mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und hat allerlei Tips in der Umgebung parat. Das kleine Zimmer ist mega gemütlich und mit so viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Alles, inklusive der Gemeinschaftsbäder, ist super sauber. Das Frühstück wird mit Liebe zur gewünschten Uhrzeit zubereitet. Auch Abendessen ist möglich und Odelia ist eine hervorragende Köchin. Einen Roller kann man direkt in der Unterkunft mieten, inklusive Helm und alles ist top in Schuss. Die Lage ist absolut perfekt und man ist z.B. ganz schnell zum Sonnenaufgang bei den Chocolate Hills, was ich sehr empfehlen kann. Wenn ich wieder in Bohol bin komme ich auf jeden Fall wieder. Ich hatte hier mit die beste Zeit auf den Philippinen. Danke für alles!

Clean and friendly staff. Very accommodating. I booked a non-refundable night with them and then decided to spend the night elsewhere. I informed the host that day. She replied that I could redeem it on another day so the next day I did. This is something I have never experienced before. It was absolutely great. Also the facilities are clean and priced very fairly. I recommend this.

It felt very much like a home stay - personal and with a lot of attention to detail and care. Khloe welcomed me and showed me everything, made sure I had everything I needed for the night and next morning. Her tips on how to navigate my next travels were perfect and I had one of the smoothest journeys in the Philippines thanks to her local advice. Great value for money and surrounded by nature. I’d happily come back :)

The room is small if you have a large suitcase like me but you can definitely make it work for a short stay

Die Unterkunft war wie ein zweites Zuhause, wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Alles ist super sauber und für uns wurde sogar gekocht. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen und können es nur jedem empfehlen hier her zu kommen:)

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und durften uns eines der Zimmer aussuchen. Es ist ein friedlicher Ort, mitten in den Reisfeldern. Gemeinschaftsküche und Toiletten waren tip top sauber!

Khloe Serenity Guest House ist eine der schönsten und gastfreundlichsten Unterkünfte auf meiner Philippinen-Reise. Die Betreiber, vor allem Odelia, kümmern sich rührend um das Wohlbefinden ihrer Gäste. Auf Wunsch bereiten sie einfaches Frühstück und Abendessen zu einem wirklich guten Preis zu. Jeder Wunsch wird umgehend erfüllt. Odelia gibt auch sehr viele nützliche Tipps und Hinweise für jegliche Aktivitäten und auch die Weiterreise. Auch Wäsche kann man hier waschen lassen. Das Grundstück mit ein paar kleinen Bungalows befindet sich idyllisch im Grünen, umgeben von Palmen. Super ruhig und super friedlich. Man kann Roller ausleihen, ich bin aber viel zu Fuss unterwegs gewesen und in ca. 20 Minuten ist man zu Fuß im Zentrum des kleinen Ortes und an der Hauptverkehrsstrasse. Besonders schön war die zentrale Lage auf Bohol, womit man alle Attraktionen der Insel wirklich gut erreichen kann, sei es mit dem Roller oder auch mit öffentlichen Bussen. Der Bungalow selbst war recht klein, hatte aber alles, was ich benötige. Moskitonetz und ein sauberes bequemes Bett. Wifi funktionierte ebenfalls super! Die Gemeinschaftsbäder waren klein, aber sehr sauber und damit für mich ok. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in dieser Unterkunft ist aus meiner Sicht unschlagbar gut. Hier erlebt man authentische philippinische Gastfreundlichkeit abseits des touristischen Trubels zu einhundert Prozent!

Odelia the host was so friendly and welcoming- she always provided us with recommendations of things to do in the area and made our trip so memorable! She is a great cook as well and offers delicious breakfasts and dinners at your request. The location is in a quiet area of Bohol close to the chocolate mountains. It was easily accessible to all the beautiful waterfalls, hikes and even beaches with a scooter which you can rent directly from her. Would highly recommend!!

This is a little gem of the beaten path. A small corner of authenticity & an effective way to reconnect to simplicity. Odelia is adorable and goes above and beyond assisting guest. It’s located in the middle of a lot of places to visit. The food is good. I loved hearing the noise of nature and rain. If you sensible to those noise then wear earplugs ☺️. If you want a proper home stay do not miss it.

We had a truly magical stay here and extended from 2 nights to 6! The accommodation is beautiful in the middle of palm trees, nature and ricefields. Also we got offered to rent a scooter which was very practical to explore the beautiful area around chocolate hills and waterfalls. Odelias warmth, kindness and care was outstanding and we were very sad to leave this place as our travels moved on. We will definitely come back! Thank you very much Odelia ✨️♥️ we can only recommend for everyone to experience the magic of this place yourself

es war ein absoluter traum! die unterkunft liegt schön im grünen, die hostin ist zuckerlieb und nach belieben der gäste kocht sie abends und bereitet morgens super leckeres frühstück vor. zudem kann man roller mieten und die insel erkunden, sie begrüßt einen direkt mit schönen tipps für ausflüge!!🥰🥰 die sanitäranlagen waren sehr sauber, ebenso wie küche und die eigenen hütten. zudem kann man seine wäsche waschen lassen für einen sehr niedrigen preis. die unterkunft ist ein absoluter geheimtipp!!

Absolutely perfect. Odelia was a wonderful host, always willing to help, give recommendations and prepared some lovely home cooked breakfasts and dinners. She was incredibly generous and welcoming! Motorbike rental available at property as well as breakfasts/dinners and laundry. Very clean, very comfortable and lovely and peaceful. Conveniently located to drive the moped to lots of the sights and activities. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it for anyone wanting to stay in Bohol

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Super clean, tidy, and beautiful. Great internet in the room, very close to the town centre and most importantly, the service we received from Odelia, the owner—a lovely and incredibly kind woman. She gave us information about everything without us even asking invited to fruit and shared conversation. I hope to return and enjoy this wonderful place again.

Персонал супер-дружелюбный и отзывчивый. Нам предоставили рекомендации по тому, где можно поесть и сделать покупки. Территория красивая и ухоженная. На кухне был чай - для Филиппин найти чай даже в отелях было максимально сложно, а тут он был в гостевом доме! Локация удобная, если вы приехали на Бохоль за основными достопримечательностями, взяли авто напрокат, посмотрели на тарсиеров, на шоколадные холмы, двигаетесь дальше и вам нужно отдохнуть по пути. У хозяйки можно купить охлажденные напитки - цены ок. Также можно у нее попросить приготовить завтрак.

Пишу это здесь, но в принципе это не минусы - это формат места, к которому нужно быть готовым. Комнаты находятся на втором уровне, на который ведет довольно крутая лестница. Санузлы и кухня расположены на уровне земли. Стены наружные и между комнатами очень тонкие и распространению звука не препятствуют. Поэтому ведите себя прилично и тихо! Мы были компанией, поэтому могли общаться, находясь каждый в своей комнате :)

We’ve been travelling for two years, and this is without a doubt the best guesthouse we’ve stayed at in Southeast Asia. Not only because of the location, surrounded by jungle and a beautiful garden, but above all because of the host. Odelia is truly exceptional. She took care of us like a mother, making us feel completely at home, far away from home. She is caring, attentive, and offers a genuine five-star level of hospitality that you would be unlikely to find even in a luxury hotel. During our stay, she upgraded our room at no extra cost when we had to extend our visit due to a typhoon. She regularly checked in on us, brought us snacks, and even noticed us exercising one day and brought us two mats without us asking. These small but thoughtful gestures say everything about the kind of person she is. The guesthouse is extremely affordable, and what you receive goes far beyond expectations for the price. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely return. We will also continue to recommend this place wholeheartedly to friends and family.

Really amazing host, lovely room and great facilities. Really the most amazing value for money ever. Great location if you rent the scooter off the host then everything is super easy access. Walking distance to the main village is about 20-30mins. The restaurant tuks? has great vegetarian options :)

When I only had a few days left on Bohol, I decided to return again to this peaceful, friendly and magnificent oasis. Felt like coming home, everyone was super lovely and helpful, we got again free buko from the garden and I had the best time just sitting on the balcony and listening to the sounds of the nature surrounding us. My favorite accomodation on Bohol, I would always come back here!

Best stay ever. Odelia is definitely the kindest and most generous host I ever had in the Philippines and even during my 6 months traveling through Asia so that itself says a lot ! The guest house is a comfortable cocoon a bit outside the city in the heart of a green jungle. The accommodation is cosy and feels dreamy and relaxing, a little like sleeping in a treehouse from when you were kids, except it’s way more comfortable. Odelia’s family will also be there to help you around in order for you to have a good stay. Prices are completely fair on top of that. There is nothing more to say, except maybe a big thank you and a definitely see you soon.

Great host! Very nice and quiet place, the room I've booked was small but I had a great sleep, bed was comfortable, additionally there is a small kitchenette where u can have tea or caffee anytime you want. Great stay!

Location is a bit remote but it's not a problem if you have a scooter or other form of transportation.

A vendéglátó fantasztikus, szuper kedves, mindenben segített, és a rendelkezésünkre állt. A szállás nagyon tiszta, a szoba és az ágy kényelmes. A szállás egy családi birtokon helyezkedik el, amely rizsföldekkel határos. Kellemes zöldövezetben fekszik a Csokoládé Hegyek lábánál, az erdei úton egy kis patakkal, kókuszpálmákkal, gyönyörű belső kerttel és puha pázsittal, friss levegővel. Ingyenes kávé és tea fogyasztás. (Mindenféle minőségi koffeinmentes gyümölcs és gyógynövény teái is vannak.) Csak ajánlani tudom!

I kept extending my stay because I really enjoyed being here in this quiet nature oasis. It's very well located to reach Alicia, Chocolate hills, loboc etc per Motorbike and Ordelia was super friendly and helpful! I also got fresh buko from the garden haha and the cats are so cute

The little room where you sleep is lovely and well made. Everything is very clean. The owner is so kind and generous! She can even prepare some meals for the people around.

Absolutely amazing stay. Gorgeous accommodation. The owner was so lovely, gave lots of suggestions on what to do and see. Cute huts in the jungle. Really felt like a secret jungle get away.

Das Personal begrüsst uns mit „welcome home“ und genau so fühlten wir uns - wie zuhause. Das Personal ist unglaublich hilfsbereit, nett und sehr grosszügig. Die Ausstattung ist genau wie beschrieben und alles ist sehr sauber. Wir würden wieder hier buchen, wenn wir zurück nach Batuan kommen.

Einzig die Matratze ist etwas hart.

We werden bij aankomst vriendelijk ontvangen door Odelia, alles was precies zoals verwacht of beter. Voor wie niet op zoek is naar een luxe resort, maar een nette, schone hut, met oprechte gastvrijheid is dit de perfecte plek. Wij boekten voor 2 nachten, en konden gelukkig ter plekke nog een nacht bij boeken, omdat we het er zo naar ons zin hadden. We zouden de accomodatie van Odelia zeker aanraden!

The host/owner was the sweetest! We were here during her birthday and got invited to her celebration, where we were given drinks, food and cake (Such a unique and amazing experience!). We were also able to rent scooters for a good price, got recommendations of things to see in the area and they personally helped us with transportation to our next destination.

Accommodation is in a nice quiet place, facilities are all new and well maintained and everything was very clean. The owner is supppper helpful, she recommended some places to see and some things to do. She was super hospitable, i was stuck there during a typhoon and she gave me free snacks, fresh coconut water, boiled hot water (there was a power cut during the typhoon) and tea and coffee till the typhoon passed. Would recommend the accommodation for sure and would definitely stay again if i am in bohol :)

In Batuan, Bohol, there is a beautiful house with clean rooms and bathrooms. There are dining tables and kitchen equipment where you can enjoy your time. The owner of the guesthouse is a very kind person and helped me with everything

Our stay there was so great! In the middle of the jungle, we’ve been well welcomed by Odelia, who is such a great person !

Top Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, super nette Gastgeberin, sauber und alles da, was man braucht. Es gab sogar Wasser, Tee und Kaffee umsonst. Uns wurde eine Kokosnuss aufgeschnitten und inklusive Kokoswasser serviert.

Es gibt kein warmes Wasser, das ist aber auch nicht notwendig.

La tranquilitat del lloc, la hospitalitat de la Odelia, ens ha tractat com unes filles més. El menjar el millor de filipines que hem menjat, vam poder llegir, fer ioga al seu pati, fer migdiada, com a casa.

Very nice property where you feel good to stay and relax! Nice owners, good vibes and accommodating. It’s a bit far from the village but you can rent a scoot from them or get a tuk tuk very easily

Khloe's Serenity Guesthouse was our best accommodation in the Philippines, and one of the best guesthouses we've stayed at in all of Southeast Asia. The rooms are efficient and clean with good use of space and plenty of room to store your bags. Shared bathrooms are kept very clean as well. But the family who owns this guesthouse is what makes it really standout. They are so kind and welcoming, will take good care of you and make you feel like friends. The village itself is also nice to walk around. We did not rent a motorbike, which did limit us a little bit, but they helped arrange a private tour of Bohol at a good price for us.

I can recommend everyone when visiting Bohol to come to this place. The Lady takes care of everything washing clothes, recommends things to do, sometimes when you are in need of it gives you food without even asking and even cleans the dishes, she is such caring kind soul and I'm very thankful that I decided to come there. Everything is clean and working without problems, the place itself is beautiful and the Wifi was very stable as well. It's a good place to talk with other guests aswell. You can even rent a motorbike there. For this price I never had a better experience before because of that I extended my stay there and I will definitely come back.

A beautiful and charming place to spend a few nights. The homestay has a lot of character and is set in a peaceful, relaxing environment. The Bohol countryside is absolutely stunning, and the nearby village offers plenty of affordable local restaurants. The owner and her husband are truly lovely people — warm, kind, and very welcoming. I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Bohol.

The lady was very helpful. She was always there. She dedicate her time to the job. The room was small but clean and enough size just for myself. I slept listening sounds of crickets and waken up by rosters. It was built just two years ago. So clean. It was about 1h 20- 1h40 by bike from the tagbilaran pier. I’ve heard the road is better if I take the one go through balilihan than loboc , from the port to here.

They don’t have hot shower but the lady made hot water and put that in bucket and we deluted with water. So it was very good temperature water. I tried Philippine style shower hahaha

The place is so nice! It was basic but all you need. The owner and her husband are lovely, they helped us a lot when we needed some help and she could tell us a lot of recommendations of everything to do. Would highly recommend to go here if you want to see the chocolate hilss.

The shower had low water pressure, it was hard to get my shampoo out. The road to the place was a bit hard for beginners on a scooter, but you will learn fast enough :)

The property is beautiful, in the middle of coconut trees. But Odelia is the star of the show! She is a fantastic host and a great cook (breakfast and dinner). She also bought a ball for our kids to play in the garden. She took us to watch the fireflies at night. She gave us a ton of touristic recommendations, along with renting near-new scooters. Last, she arranged transportation to and from the house. A 5 star host!

The best place we’ve stayed in the Philippines! The owner is really friendly with great English and looks after you as much as she can(even has English tea!). The room itself and the facilities are all very clean and are great value for money. We saw that some people complained about the bamboo huts not being noise proof which is true, but it doesn’t really matter and they’re building a new set of concrete ones. Only stayed for one night but we’d love to come back!

Lovely stay, Odelia guest house is in a peaceful place, in the forest but close to the Batuan centre. You will find restaurants, shops lot of things and some activities such as people playing basketball or tennis during the night, really nice! Odelia is so kind, always helping and check if we need something, giving tips and recommendations. We were supposed to stay just 2 nights and finally booked 4 nights. Odelia prepared dinner for us, delicious! Lovely stay, highly recommended!

Honestly, it’s probably the cleanest, most welcoming and homely place I’ve stayed at in the Philippines. The owner is just the sweetest—she takes care of you like a loving mom, making you feel right at home. The location is also perfect! It’s in a peaceful area, yet all the sights are within an hour’s reach. Plus, you can rent motorbikes directly from her, which makes exploring super easy. Such a wonderful stay—I’d come back in a heartbeat!

Accommodating host. We liked the simplicity of rooms (amakan). They are constructing concrete rooms with private comfort rooms that offer sound proof nights. Hopefully we can come back.. Highly recommend!

We've had exceptional welcome from the hosts! Sleeping in the traditionally made bamboo cabin was a great experience - not too warm, not too cold, just perfect.

the owners are suuuuuper friendly. the accomodation is quiet, clean and simple. you'll get a fan, a clean shared bathroom and a nice view :) the area is outside of towns, quiet AND in the center of the island. you'll reach everything in 1.5 hours via scooter and most of the things, you'll reach way sooner. the chocolate hills are 10-15 mins away. i felt very much at home there. again: you will be in a rural area, so there are chicken running around and you'll need a scooter to go to places. but if you're fine with that, it's the perfect place for tranquility and exploration :)

The location! It’s close to many beautiful tourist spots, and it’s very tranquil. Also the hosts!

Odelia is probably the best host we had in a whole month in the Philippines. And this is a good place to stay to explore not only the Chocolate Hills, the whole Bohol island. One good thing of this place is that no matter how hot it gets during the day, it always chills a bit at night, unlike by the sea.
