Sweet little spot up on Signal Hill. Love the history of the building and seeing the little 4 Square sign still up outside.

Understandable with the small space but don't expect to do any sort of cooking if staying here.

The place was clean and well looked after.

The parking is on the street and not actually for the property. There is some noise from the rest of the house because it is just a small part of a larger house.

The property was extremely comfortable and just a few minutes drive from Dunedin cbd. Kitchenette well stocked.

There was a bit of road noise, however it did say that in the description of the place and it didn't matter that much, we still had a nice stay.

A lovely historic guesthouse in Dunedin. The owner's communication was excellent, and everything was clean, tidy, and well looked after. Comfortable and welcoming, a charming place to stay.

The suite is super clean, super private and beds was very comfortable. Loved the shampoo and body wash in the shower, I am now converting to that brand lol Cherry was such a bliss to deal with, easy check in and check out. Absolutely loved our stay. Highly recommend. Will be back for sure

Middle of winter we had the heating on to keep toasty which worked well. The mezzanine floor was very hot for sleeping . Made that work by using the fan provided which was very helpful

The property was beautifully thought through with a lot of attention to detail. It was cosy and warm, beds where really comfy and shower and bathroom facilities where fantastic.

This is a lovely property, modern,clean and comfortable.

Loved it was out of the noise and bustle of the inner city, but still close enough to walk to if you wanted (albeit there is a hill!) The proximity to the Botanical Gardens was lovely too. And the fabulous Signal Hill Lookout.

A very comfortable and accommodating suite. Nice and clean. Well stocked with toiletries, hot drinks and filtered water. Loved staying in a restored grocery store.

The clever design using the original shop. It had everything we needed and it was lovingly designed and thought through. This is one of the nicest units I have stayed in.

We had an amazing stay and everything was thought of .We were aware of there not being any oven or range cooker but this was no problem and easily accommodated .The house itself was amazing and it was a beautiful place to stay .So I guess what I’m saying is that there were no issues for us .

Could hear noise from the other room (creaking, footsteps) but it was very minimal :)

Tastefully renovated, with everything you need for a short stay. A short drive from town or walk to the botanical gardens. Supermarket close by. Lovely big plush towels, and quality bodywash, shampoo and conditioner.

The road noise is pretty load, however it didn't seem to be a busy street. Also could hear the floor above us creeking, but whoever was up there didn't seem to move around a lot.

Location was great, 5 minute drive to daughter's college/dormitory and campus. Plenty of on-street parking. I've always wanted to sleep on a mezzanine floor over-looking the living area. Provided items that we needed but forgot to bring with us. Very thoughtful in providing extra items for our comfort and convenience. My wife absolutely loved the history of the place and appreciated the reading material about it.

The place was quirky and cute. Every consideration has been made to provide comfort, items for unexpected needs, entertainment and even a spot of recreation.

Honestly, the only thing was getting the email confirmation when I learned the ‘quiet suburban street’ from the ad was actually noisy at times. It felt strange but luckily for us, the noise was no more or less than one expects being just a few meters from the roadside. Our stay there was fantastic.

Loved the restored accommodation. So quirky and lovely. Beautifully restored! Super comfortable with lots of space, warm and very relaxing. Had everything we needed and more!!

I really loved the Opoho Heritage suite. If they had a place to wash dishes in the kitchenette this would be my go to place when visiting Dunedin

Got turned off using a bathroom tub to wash dishes, who knows what people wash in there, dirty shoes, clothes?? Even storing the dishrack and teatowel in the toilet area was a huge turnoff. I didnt wash the dishes I used. Perhaps move the stand from the bathroom into the kitchen area and place a wide basin on it. Happy to fill the basin with water from the bathroom and wash dishes in the kitchenette.

Beautiful, clean, spacious, cozy, very warm with great cooling options both upstairs and down, and hands down The best shower and gorgeous bathroom, also the Devine Glow Lab body washes and shampoo conditioners were such a pleasant surprise. My absolute favorite part was the loft bedroom just so gorgeous I absolutley love the nookie nook feel to it and such a comfortable bed too with beautiful soft blankets. The gorgeous apartment was just perfect for our wee staycation getaway with more amenities than most other places I've stayed, I was so impressed at the care to detail and thoughtfulness of the amaizing host of whom went above and beyond to make this a lovely and comfortable stay... Especially when I locked all keys inside of the apartment 🤦🏽‍♀️ I can not thankyou enough and I would love to stay again sometime. Most deffinatley recommend for families, couples, and solo travelers.

The noises from the road were absolutley fine, Although I did have music slightly less than quietly playing throughout the night as I could hear what sounded like strong melodious snoring or a similar such noise in the pipes or somthing, unsure but wasn't too bothered as I had my music 👍🏽

Beautiful little apartment. Easy access. Great accessibility to the city. Fantastic facilities in the place. And the bottle of bubbles left for us was the most perfect and wonderful little bonus

Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The location is great- just slightly further than we have previously stayed which was no problem and a great change! Excellent communication with owners. Quality extras inside the accommodation just add to the stay.

The road directly outside the property is a little noisy with fairly consistent traffic, although the host has considerately provided ear plugs (in the bathroom drawer)

Beautiful little paradise that felt like home, clean and had everything we needed. Not too big but not too small either. Perfect for a little family getaway. The beds were so comfortable the bathroom is spacious, and the little information album telling the story of what the accommodation was previously. Love the history of this place!

The building is unique, the beds are very comfortable, facilities are all there, nice and clean. Information prior arrival is clear.

None, just suggestion maybe could do with the house number at the door or just a sign of Opoho would be good. Thank you

Location is excellent although we had a car which made it easier to get around. We liked the quiet neighbourhood. The character and charm of the property was delightful. Great to have a separate sleeping space on the mezzanine. Everything in the property felt brand new and very clean.

It’s not that I didn’t like it but a washing machine would’ve been good for us.

Great suite. Plenty of space and so clean. It's been wonderfully restored. Everything you could want has been provided. The host has gone above and beyond to make your stay perfect. We will most definitely stay here again but I fear when other people discover this place, it will become booked up very quickly !

There are no cooking facilities except for a microwave but we didn't need them anyway

Guests need to be aware the space is located right on Signal Hill Road and there is some road noise at times as you would expect in a city.

Beautiful house, really good set for a few days holidays in family.

Beautiful spacious apartment. Very clean and the smell inside was amazing! I will definitely contact host to find out what was that because we loved it! We were only there for one night but the apartment would be great also for longer stay, unless you would like to cook, then look for some other accommodation. Very easy to park around the apartment.

The wee snacks, tea, coffee etc. were very nice. We liked the tasteful decor and cosy blankets, plus the quality TV set - easy to use. The high ceiling is really something.

Plumbing in kitchenette would make dishes easier, but considering the huge remodel and absolute luxury finish, that was nothing to worry about really.

It's such a unique property, with a lot of history and a beautiful restoration. Love the quirkiness of it but also the quality of care and comfort - the blinds in the large windows, the bathroom is modern. The mezzanine bedroom space feels cosy and comfortable, a lot of attention to details, nice antique furniture pieces dotted around the space and the tennis rackets with a map to the local court - lovely.
