Luxury Nomadic Tented Camp

Vilken fantastisk upplevelse! Vi bodde en natt i Luxury Nomadic Tented Camp och det överträffade verkligen våra förväntningar. Tältet kändes lyxigt med eget badrum och en mysig terrass där vi kunde sitta och bara titta ut över sanddynerna. Ett stort tack till Youssef som körde oss i 4x4 ut till campet – han var så trevlig och körningen genom sanden var riktigt spännande! På kvällen fick vi uppleva en trumsession vid lägerelden, vilket var otroligt stämningsfullt. Moha såg till att vi alltid hade gott te till hands och fick oss att känna oss som hemma direkt. Frukosten på morgonen var också toppen, väldigt generös och god. Det enda man ska tänka på är att det blir ganska sandigt överallt (vilket man förstås får räkna med i öknen!), så lämna inte skorna precis vid öppningen om det blåser lite. Men det är en del av charmen. Kan varmt rekommendera detta till alla som vill ha en autentisk men bekväm ökenupplevelse!

Just me and my daughter for a few days in Morocco before she starts uni next year. Her idea to add the desert night. Good call on her part. Tent was solid: private bathroom, terrace, outdoor furniture, breakfast included. We rode camels out there. Ninety minutes through the dunes, just the two of us and the guide. She had her headphones in for the first ten minutes then put them away. Didn't ask her to. That evening we sat outside for hours. She talked, I listened mostly. Reckon that's about the right ratio at sixteen. Sandboarding next morning was free which neither of us knew. She was better at it than me and made sure I knew.

Pasamos una noche en el campamento y la experiencia fue bastante especial. Desde que llegamos a Merzouga nos organizaron el traslado en 4x4 hasta el campamento, lo cual se agradece porque el acceso no es tan fácil por las dunas. La tienda era amplia, con baño privado y una pequeña terraza donde pudimos sentarnos a ver el atardecer sin duda de lo mejor. La cama era cómoda y todo estaba bastante limpio, aunque el suelo tenía un poco de arena (supongo que es inevitable estando en pleno desierto 😅). El desayuno incluido estuvo bien, sencillo pero suficiente para empezar el día. Por la tarde hicimos un paseo en camello de alrededor de hora y media, muy tranquilo y con buenas vistas de las dunas. Y por la noche, lo mejor fue la sesión de tambores junto al fuego, muy auténtica y sin coste extra, le dio un ambiente muy agradable. Quizás como detalle, por la noche hacía un poco de frío dentro de la tienda, aunque con las mantas se solucionaba. En general, una experiencia diferente y recomendable si quieres algo fuera de lo típico.

Came on my own, which I wasn't sure about until I got there. Turns out the desert is one of the better places to be by yourself. No one to check in with, no compromises, just your own pace. Tent had everything — private bathroom, terrace, breakfast included. Woke up before anyone else, made myself a coffee on the terrace and watched the light change over the dunes for about an hour. Didn't check my phone once. Can't remember the last time that happened. Would do it again without thinking twice.

Tog min søn på 10 med — én nat i ørkenen, se hvad der sker. Han stillede spørgsmål hele vejen derhen. Holdt op da vi ankom. Teltet var fint: eget badeværelse, terrasse, morgenmad inkluderet. Om aftenen sad vi udenfor længe efter middagen. Han faldt i søvn under åben himmel. Jeg blev siddende. Det var det hele værd.

Meine Schwiegermutter hat uns das empfohlen. Ich war höflich begeistert — innerlich skeptisch. Eine Nacht im Wüstenzelt mit einem Zwölfjährigen, okay. Das Zelt war überraschend groß, 30 Quadratmeter, eigenes Bad, Terrasse mit Bergblick. Frühstück inklusive. Der Junge hat sofort das WLAN-Passwort verlangt — das ist normal. Aber dann kam der Sonnenuntergang über den Dünen und plötzlich war das Handy weg. Nicht verboten. Einfach weg. Meine Schwiegermutter hatte recht. Das sage ich nicht oft.

Booked this on a whim during our Morocco trip — one night in the Sahara, why not. Travelling with a nine year old you never quite know how it's going to go. Turned out to be the highlight of the whole holiday. Tent was spacious, private bathroom, terrace looking out over the dunes — reckon it was nicer than some hotels we've stayed in haha. Breakfast included and the kid actually ate everything without being asked, which is basically a miracle. The night was something else — he was convinced he could see every single star. Maybe he could. We sat outside until he finally crashed. Wouldn't change a thing.

On devait rester une nuit. On en a pris deux parce que ma femme a refusé de partir. Je dis ça sans rancune — elle avait raison. Le camp était nickel, la cuisine généreuse et vraie. Ce qui m'a frappé c'est que les gens qui travaillent là ont l'air contents d'être là. Ça se sent et c'est rare. On repart avec une envie bizarre de revenir.

Eigenlijk geboekt omdat mijn vriend niet kon. Zijn ticket, zijn reservering — ik ben gewoon mee gegaan. Beste beslissing van het jaar. Het kamp was netjes en goed verzorgd, het eten overvloedig en lekker. De nachten waren stil op een manier die je niet verwacht. Kom met lage verwachtingen. Je gaat verrast weg.

Viajamos mucho y cada vez nos cuesta más sorprendernos. Merzouga nos sorprendió. No por algo espectacular, sino por lo contrario — todo era sencillo, sin pretensiones. La habitación justa, la cena justa, el trato justo. Sin floreos. Mi hija de ocho años lleva días hablando del camello que montó y de las estrellas que vio. Nosotros nos quedamos con las noches. Cada uno se lleva lo suyo.

Three weeks travelling through Morocco and Merzouga was the last stop. Thought I'd be too tired to care by then. Wasn't. Checked in, dropped my bag, walked outside and just stood there. Dunes as far as you can see, not a sound. The camp itself was clean and well looked after, food was generous and really tasty. Slept like I haven't in years. Woke up, someone brought tea without being asked, sat outside. Did absolutely nothing for an hour. Best hour of the trip. Not bad at all, eh.

Una collega ne parlava da mesi. Alla fine l'ho ascoltata. Il campo era curato e pulito, il cibo abbondante e vero — non quella roba adattata ai turisti. Ma la cosa che non mi aspettavo: la gente del posto. Una sera un ragazzo dello staff si è seduto con noi e ha cominciato a parlare del deserto, di come ci è cresciuto, di come lo vive ogni giorno. Nessuno lo aveva chiesto. Nessuno voleva che smettesse. Certe conversazioni non si dimenticano. Tornerò, questa volta con più tempo.

Came for a night, stayed three days. The camp was clean, comfortable, food was incredible — kept going back for more. Staff were warm without being in your face. Evenings by the fire with mint tea and good company.. didn't want it to end. One of those trips you don't plan to love but you do. Highly recommend

Buf, no sé ni por dónde empezar. Llegamos al atardecer y lo primero que vimos fueron las dunas cambiando de color.. naranja, rojo, dorado — todo en cuestión de minutos. El paseo en camello fue una pasada, y la cena tradicional bajo las estrellas estaba buenísima. Lo que más me sorprendió fue la noche — ese silencio tan profundo que casi se escucha. Fuego, tambores, té con los locales.. acabamos cantando hasta las tantas haha. Merzouga te deja sin palabras. Repetimos seguro.

On a réservé sur un coup de tête et franchement.. bonne pioche. Arrivés au coucher du soleil, les dunes qui virent à l'orange, au rouge — on a même pas sorti les téléphones tellement c'était beau. Le dîner traditionnel sous le ciel étoilé était vraiment bon, généreux, tout fait maison. Et la nuit.. ce silence-là, on n'en revient pas. Autour du feu avec les locaux, le thé, les percussions — à un moment on s'est retrouvés à chanter avec eux sans même s'en rendre compte. Merzouga c'est le genre d'endroit qui te prend par surprise.

Really lovely night honestly. The camp was clean and really well looked after, way better than we expected. The dunes at sunset were just.. wow. Dinner was great too and then sitting round the fire after with the stars out — that was probably our favourite moment of the whole trip. Would 100% recommend, don't hesitate.

Buf, la noche en el campamento del desierto fue una pasada. El sitio estaba limpio y mucho mejor de lo que imaginábamos. Las dunas con el atardecer eran una locura, no se puede explicar bien con palabras. La cena muy rica, y luego quedarnos alrededor del fuego mirando las estrellas.. eso fue lo mejor de todo el viaje, con diferencia. Repetimos seguro!

Spending a night in the desert was something we had always wanted to do, and it did not disappoint. The dunes are beautiful and the camp atmosphere is very relaxing. The tents were clean and the food was very good.

Staying in the desert camp was one of the highlights of our trip. The dunes are absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. The camel ride was peaceful and enjoyable. The camp itself was comfortable and well arranged, with clean tents and a warm dinner in the evening. Sitting outside at night and watching the stars was a truly special moment.

Questa esperienza nel deserto ha superato le nostre aspettative. Tutto era ben organizzato e l'atmosfera era accogliente e piacevole. La tenda era confortevole e pulita e la cena preparata al momento era deliziosa. Uno dei momenti più belli è stata la notte nel deserto, dove il silenzio e il cielo stellato hanno creato un'atmosfera magica.

Nuestra noche en el campamento del desierto fue la combinación perfecta de comodidad y aventura. El paseo en camello al atardecer entre las dunas fue tranquilo e inolvidable. La tienda estaba limpia y acogedora, y la cena recién preparada fue excelente. Terminar la noche junto al fuego bajo un cielo lleno de estrellas hizo que la experiencia fuera realmente especial.

Un séjour merveilleux et parfaitement organisé dans le désert. Le camp était confortable et authentique, la nourriture fraîchement préparée, et l’atmosphère nocturne calme et à couper le souffle. Une expérience vraiment spéciale.

The staff was exceptional and the camp views were amazing

we were surprised by how comfortable everything was. Soft bed, clean bathroom, and warm blankets. The desert around the camp is stunning. stuff made sure we were happy.highly recomanded

Excellent facilities, great staff, good range of activities to do. Can’t fault this camp. If I was staying in the desert again, I’d go with this place. It’s truly brilliant well worth it.

Nothing I don’t like really - could do with a fan or air con unit in the rooms but this is hard with it being in the desert.

This was the highlight of our trip to Morocco. The tents and the entire place are beautiful, everyone is very courteous and professional. The driver who took us from the riad to the camp was friendly and made us experience excitement when driving around the dunes. The time spent in a Luxury Nomadic Tented Camp in Morocco will be a memorable one. The tents were clean and comfortable, and the food was with real flavors. Riding a camel through the dunes was an experience unto itself, and the sunrise took everything up a whole new level. This will be a trip I will treasure forever!

My stay was wonderful! Being next to the sand dunes gave beautiful views, and the staffs were super friendly and caring. The delicious Moroccan food and calm desert vibe made it the perfect escape.

Stayed here for 1 night time as part of a four day Sahara desert excursion with my wife We both had an exquisite experience here. The tent turned into relaxed and the team of workers were type and accommodating. We had dinner below the celebrities and the group of workers arranged a bonfire and Berber tune after dinner. We really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic time spent at the camp. The tent was so warm, the staff friendly, and the food so great. The best things were riding a camel, wonderful sunsets, and stargazing on fire. It's an unforgettable desert experience.

Very welcoming place where we enjoyed our quality time by watching sunrises and had fun in the desert. The staffs were very nice, food was delicious. This is a must-visit destination in a lifetime.

My wife and I stayed in the desert for one night. It was a truly unique experience, from the music at night to watching the sunrise over the sand dunes. All the tents were well-equipped and made us feel like Arabian royalty. We are still blown away by the experience. Thanks to all the staff for being so friendly and kind to us.
