Retreat at Crystal Manatee

The entire place and area was excellent. I have no complaints of the space, just gorgeous from the entrance into the space, the rooms, the flowers, the stone all over. It was well done. Every staff member was wonderful too.

Breakfast part was probably the only negative I’d give here as it was either some dry cereal options or toast/plain bagel options. Had coffee and juices as well as a yogurt in the fridge.

Beautiful landscaping, lovely walkways. Building in excellent shape.

Found one live baby roach in room. It’s Florida so they are here. Front desk person seemed annoyed that we were early despite my assurance that we didn’t expect to check in early.

We got upgraded to an even better room than what I paid for when we got there! The little pastries they put on our door was the cutest touch. It was quiet and clean. The bed & linens were amazing. Close to bars & restaurants & the water. It was perfect for our rest & retreat weekend.

The lady who welcomed us was wonderful making us feel at home. She also gave all guests warm pain au chocolates later in the evening. The location is also fantastic to walk to the lagoons and if you want to go canoeing to see the manatees.

Basic but clean rooms centrally located for a number of bars and restaurants.

Loved the sweet, warm, welcome treat hanging on our door. The room was modern with lovely pictures. The bed was comfortable.

Could have used a grab bar in the shower, a comfy chair by the window, and extra lights on the mirror.

Great location close to historical center and major POIs, large and very clean room with refrigerator, large bathroom with Multi-Grades shower head, a/c was effective and very quiet (probably the quietest one I have experienced in years of travel), beautiful landscaping of the entire property shows effort, thought and care

Receptionist was overly business-like and terse rather than welcoming, sterile 6000k institutional lighting in room, refrigerator compressor was loud and rattling to where unplugging necessary to sleep, mattresses soft and cheap sounding/feeling, included breakfast is Marriott Courtyard basic which will turn off some people for the price (was fine for me, wish there had been the promised bagels there), water pressure lacking (a pity considering that property invested significantly in a multifunction shower head into the bathroom), to me somewhat expensive for what you get in the end

Our room was nice but could have used a microwave and better seating. A table with chairs or comfortable chairs to sit in. The bed was the only place to sit.

Our room was located on a beautiful and peaceful courtyard, The only window faced a empty parking lot, no activity during our stay. It was the 4th of July and very quiet all weekend. Fresh pastries on our door each evening

My only complaint would be that the pastries each night had some sort of chocolate in them. I would have like more of a variety each night, maybe apple, or raspberry, something to change it up each night. Overall, very happy with our stay

Loved the croissants on the door each morning. Nice touch! All staff encountered were great! 2 guys running towels, housekeeper in the rain & front desk girl.

For a room that size labeled "family" room, a sleeper sofa could very easily and should be added to the room. More than two towels should be provided in the "family" room.

The property was close to restaurants and shops. We only needed our vehicle once during a 3 day stay.

Extremely clean and beautiful. It was great to see all of the blooms around the property.

The bed was a bit mushy, but everything else was super clean and fresh so we were able to overlook the bed.

Beautiful property!! The bed was SO comfy and the room is quite large. The nice, luxurious shower had all the fancy features in water delivery. Every space (our room, the breakfast room, the chairs & tables throughout the gardens and outside each room) were all immaculately clean. The gardens are lovely and so well maintained. I fell in love with the gigantic oak trees with Spanish moss. We enjoyed coffee outside and relaxed there after our kayaking adventure. The owners even deliver fresh Bavarian pastries for each guest every day to your room. They also offer fresh ground & brewed coffee in the breakfast room that was delicious! We ate dinner at the attached The Three Musketeers Restaurant and it did not disappoint!! Exceptional! Walking distance to the water (launch access), a park with nice playground equipment & also to several downtown local restaurants, some with live music. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Exceptional price for all the extras & special touches. A uniqued, boutique property. We loved it!!

These are not complaints!! Just sharing to help others know what to expect. Parking was across the street, but still close enough to walk or roll your luggage over for check in and check out. Coffee machine wasn’t working one morning, but they were attentive to address it quickly. We didn’t realize there was not a microwave on site (only large mini fridge with small freezer in each room). There was not a microwave in the breakfast room either. We understood after the owner explained their reason for not having one. Again, NOT a complaint. Just something to be aware of while planning your travel.

This place was amazing. Closed to the downtown, bars and restaurants. Beautifully decorated, super clean. Staff attentive and friendly. We also loved the onsight restaurant 3 Musketers. I highly recommend this hotel.

Tolle Lage, sehr zentral dennoch sehr ruhig gelegen. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail in die Landschaft integriert. Ein toller Garten mit Sitzgelegenheiten für jedes Zimmer. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer und des Frühstücksraumes war sehr hochwertig und in tadellosem Zustand. Das Zimmer verfügte über eine moderne, sehr leise Klimaanlage. Kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten waren in unmittelbarer Nähe vorhanden. Es gab eine kleine kulinarische Begrüßungsüberraschung mit einer persönlichen Nachricht.

Great reception and service. Very friendly and helpful. Great location in Crystal River you can walk to restaurants and the few shops. Kayak tour meeting point right next door on wharf. Hotel treats you to an evening pastry delivered to your door. Split A/C very quiet in room. Great shower! Quiet and clean. Restaurant on site run by the owners daughter is wonderful european style and fine dining. I recommend Wateres Edge Kayak Tours. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Would have appreciated a coffee machine in the room though the hotel leaves open the breakfast area with coffee and hot water all day. Breakfast is not American style with a big spread. Coffee, tea, toast, cereal, and yogurt available. In town some places closed Mondays and some Tues including kayak tours.

Location was very convenient for the main place we wanted to visit while there. Room was clean and beds comfortable.

Loved how close we were to the springs - literally walking distance. Free parking was an absolute bonus. Absolutely loved how the clean and adorable the room was! The entire property was amazing! We super loved and appreciated the baked goods left on our door!

It wasn't bad, but the continental breakfast was a little lacking - but it was totally okay because they gave us amazing baked goods each day!

It is absolutely gorgeous and kept. Beautiful foliage. Rooms were so pretty and very clean.

Super cute facility. The owners obviously take a lot of pride in delivering a great experience. We were randomly upgraded for free to a larger room and larger bed, which was generous. Also, a treat bag containing fresh and delicious croissants was left on our door as a welcome. Sweet touch!

The curtains in the bedroom need to be upgraded to blackout. The hotel is downtown, and we could see the headlights of cars coming and going all night, which made it hard to fall asleep.

The mirror in our bathroom was a little too high for my wife.

It's a chocolate-covered onion. It's nothing more than an old motel calling itself a hotel because it gussied up the rooms with some new tile, paint and a shower with too many gadgets.

We checked in slightly earlier but with no problems. The receptionist took us to our room which was beautiful. We had a great sized bed, bathroom and outside area. Everything was pristine, clean and comfortable. We had croissants delivered in the afternoon. Which were great. The bed was comfortable. In the morning breakfast was good. Really enjoyable stay.

Perfect location just a few minutes walk from the beach and swimming. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Grounds offered plenty of shade and were well kept. Staff were welcoming and helpful.

Lovely garden the length of the property, obviously well cared for. It is very relaxing to sit under the huge tree in the patio. Good bathroom and shower, including excellent towels. Very quiet too. Comfortable bed. We had fresh croissants delivered to our room in the evening, very nice. A very good refrigerator and 2 water bottles. The Three Musqueteers restaurant was very good, right in the property. Delicious dishes.

There wasn't a light switch just for the sink and counter area. There was 1 switch by the door that turned on all very bright white ceiling lights as well. It seemed like an airport terminal.

So cute, all updated, and within walking distance to our favorite restaurants and downtown!

No real ice machine—just one in the lounge area but only enough for a cup or drink.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Retreat at Crystal Manatee. The rooms were clean and spacious and the gardens on the property were beautiful and filled with chirping birds, butterflies and hummingbirds. We loved walking to the springs and local restaurants.

The grounds are gorgeous. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. And the shower!!! Love it! The bag of fresh croissants daily was the best! I loved the convenience of the breakfast room which is available for coffee, tea, etc.

The little fine touches. A bottle of sparkling water to quench our thirst after a long drive and a water activity before we even checked in. Beautifully decorated. And the grounds were beautiful flowering bushes, trees and shrubs. It feels like you’re in someone’s beautiful garden. We came back from dinner and found a brown bag tied to our door with warm and freshly baked croissant. That was so sweet and a fine touch - went perfectly well with our bedtime tea 🫖 I would definitely stay again and will share with our Florida friends. Thank you!

Nothing really. I thought I had booked a room with two beds, but the king bed was just fine. My sister and I traveled together and so it worked out just fine. I was so exhausted from driving and then swimming that I fell right to sleep.

THAT BATHROOM IS VERY NICE.WE HAVE STAYED THERE 4 TIMES AND GOT DIFFERENT ROOMS EVERY TIME. ALL WERE DIFFERENT AND AWESOME

Es war im Grunde genommen die beste Unterkunft unserer Reise, zumal wir sogar ein Upgrade erhielten. Die Ausstattung war geradezu edel und alles sehr sauber. Zur Begrüßung gabs ein leckeres Croissant und zum Frühstück Hochwertiges. zB kleine Saftfläschchen, Kaffee aus gemahlenen Bohnen, Marmeladengläschen, Käse, kleine Milch Tetrapaks usw. Schöne Anlage! Sehr leises gut funktionierendes Klimagerät.

Leider hatten wir nicht viel von dem Upgrade da wir erst nach 21 Uhr ankamen und gedrängt wurden, vor unserer Bootstour um 8 auszuchecken, da wir das nicht rechtzeitig schaffen würden ( waren um halb 11 fertig im Endeffekt) Das hat mich etwas geärgert, hatte um eine halbe Stunde mehr Zeit gebeten, das kostet aber ab der ersten Minute 50 Dollar und geht bis maximal 12:30. Da gibt es kein Pardon. Wir hätten echt noch gerne geduscht vor der Abreise

We really enjoyed our stay, close to the city center so you can walk to the restaurants/shops. Also close to the start of the kayak tours. Property is really pretty, it looks way better in real life than the pictures. We will come back for sure!

Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und komfortabel. Zur Begrüßung haben wir jeder ein Croissant bekommen, was wir sehr nett und aufmerksam fanden. Das einzigst negative fanden wir, dass man nirgends im Hotel rauchen darf - ein bisschen übertrieben. Wir mussten dafür immer aus dem Hotel raus auf die Straße. Direkt ums Eck kommt man zu einem schönen See, bei dem man auch Kajak fahren kann. Also nur zu empfehlen! :)

Dass man zum Rauchen jedesmal auf die Straße muss.

I couldn’t love this place more. My second time. The service is great. It’s very sweet. Clean. Nicely decorated. I only wish I had had the chance to eat at the restaurant. Menu looks incredible
