Georgia's Neverland Hostel

La struttura si trova vicinissima alla miglior spiaggia di Malapascua, al nord, immersa tra case local e lontano dalla zona turistica. Il manager è stato gentilissimo e mi ha fatto un upgrade della mia sistemazione. Il bungalow era essenziale ma molto comodo, con ventilatore e zanzariera.

Troppe zanzare. Capisco che siamo in mezzo alla jungla, ma mettere qualche zampirone o fare una disinfestazione è da pensarci. Solo per fare la pipì ero ricoperta di punture! Prezzi troppo alti per mangiare. Pensando che è isolato da altri ristoranti, considererei anche di aggiungere anche dei piatti più economici alla portata di tutti i viaggiatori, anche chi sceglie im dormitorio. Io ho risolto andando a mangiare lì vicino a una carinderia gestita da una signora molto simpatica!

Les petites huttes sont vraiment mignonnes et offrent une expérience bien locale en tant que couple. Les lieux sont bien entretenus et propres. Niveau localisation l’hostel est proche de la plage nord, seulement quelques minutes a pied. Le propriétaire est vraiment super sympathique et arrangeant avec ses clients. À notre arrivée il y avait eu un souci avec la plateforme booking induisant un surbooking 👉 le propriétaire a tout de suite proposé une alternative en attendant que la situation se règle le lendemain.

Un peu éloigné du port et du centre ville mais il est assez facile de trouver des motos taxis pour faire le chemin. Le trajet est également facile à faire à pied pour les plus courageux.

El mejor hospedaje en que he estado en todo mi viaje. Increíble lugar, auténtico, naturaleza pura. La habitación increíble (había reservado compartida, pero me dieron una privada por el mismo precio). Todo muy limpio, ordenado, tranquilo. La comida excelente y a buen precio. La familia encargada del lugar, y demás empleados, muy amables, simpáticos, atentos a mis necesidades. Sin dudas voy a volver!! Gracias!!

The huts are cozy and the open shower is comfortable. The beach nearby is beautiful for sunset (but dirty with of plastic bottles and bags)

You need a scooter or a ride to go to the town or walk 20 minutes. Anyway I recommend a motorbike to visit the island. The toilets must be improved. They don't lock well and are close to common areas. No privacy.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the showers and hut.

This was my first stop on my trip. I stayed for 3 nights, and on the 2nd day after 2 nights, i had bites from bed bugs show up. Given, its a family business i thought theyd be more apologetic and helpful. Sadly the didnt seem to care - i asked if they could check the room and help me wash everythimg and by the time they responded it was too late to wash + they dont have a dryer or wash on high temps (so no way to get rid of them). I then asked, if they arent going to do anything could i at least get a new hut (which means they would spread even more) he responded woth are you still getting bitten. Cleary no education on the serverity of bed bugs or else just dont care.

De ontvangst door Richard is heel vriendelijk! Tijdens je verblijf staat hij per direct paraat bij vragen. De faciliteiten zijn heel schoon. Het hutje is ontzettend leuk! En op loopafstand is het mooie strand in het Noorden van het eiland met een paar leuke strandtenten. Je kunt er makkelijk voor 70 peso achterop een scooter naar vanaf het zuiden naar het noorden van het eiland worden gebracht.

De hanen kraaien best luid gedurende de nacht. Als dat geen probleem voor je is dan is het een perfect verblijf.

Charming family-run hostel tucked away from the busier southern part of the island, yet still only a 20-minute walk away. Richard and his family create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere while making sure you’re well taken care of throughout your stay on Malapascua. The thoughtfully crafted huts are both cozy and airy, with fans that keep things comfortable even on warm nights. Just a short 4-minute stroll brings you to one of the island’s most stunning beaches, untouched by resorts, and the tasty food served on-site makes this an ideal spot to unwind.

Other reviews mention a generator, this is a replacement one that is waiting for some noise cancelling amendments from the government. To be honest it does make some noise but this does become white noise very quickly. Richard is very kind and offers earplugs if you are a light sleeper but honestly it didn’t impact our stay one bit!

The owner is really Lovely and helpfull. The food is tasty and the place beautiful and clean. Good atmosphere and nice to meet backpackers. Richard helped us to find a way to leave the island, he drove us to the dive center of his uncle, he did a lot to make it us confortable in his place. He is very attentive and considerate of the needs of his guests

We booked a room with private bathroom on booking and we paid 1k pesos more for it but here is no private bathroom there. We told to Richard and he said we should figure it out with booking. We had to write them and call them a lot to have a refund. Finally they Said they couldn’t had an agreement with the owner and they said we could have a coupon with credit discount on our next booking…

The staff here were so friendly and the site was incredibly welcoming with a warm community feeling.

There is a nearby source of loud noise (a generator not associated with the site). I was not impacted by it in any way but some bedrooms near the front of the site may be.

Super établissement, accueillant et convivial. Les parties communes sont propres et les maisons individuelles sont simples mais suffisantes. On s’y sent comme chez soi. Je recommande.

A noter que l’établissement est à 30min à pieds du centre et que les coqs peuvent perturber le sommeil des plus sensibles.

La gentillesse de Richard le gérant. Très accomodant, je suis arrivé avec 2 jours de retard car les conditions météo ne permettait pas au bateau de quitter le port de Maya. Richard a gracieusement accepté de décaler ma réservation de 2 jours sans frais supplémentaire. Il m'a même surclassé dans une chambre individuelle gratuitement.

C'est un peu loin du sud de l'île où sont la majorité des clubs de plongée. Il faut marcher 25mn ou prendre un scooter. Le groupe électrogène qui alimente l'île est juste à côté du logement. C'est assez bruyant mais je sais que Richard travaille à trouver une solution pour insonoriser la centrale.

Ricardo and his staff were the best, super friendly and always taking great care of their guests! I wasn’t able to rent a scooter on the island, so Ricardo made sure I had a ride to my diving center, even early in the morning. The huts were very comfortable. There is a mosquito net and a fan, so the nights are really pleasant. The food was also amazing. I definitely recommend the chicken adobo. It was one of the best I’ve had in the Philippines 😋 It’s also close to North Beach and other small hidden beaches, which are really beautiful!

I would say the only downside is that it’s a bit far from the center (about a 20–25 minute walk), but it’s nice if you enjoy walking. You can also always arrange a ride by asking Ricardo.

Die Anlage ist richtig schön, Hängematten und einfach gemütlich. Die Hütten sehen cool aus und haben Mosquito Netze. Der Strand an der Nordseite von Malapascua ist schön und direkt neben an. Toiletten sind sauber.

Es ist soooo laut!! Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt abgebrochen, da ich krank wurde und bei dem Lärm nicht schlafen konnte. Hunde Bellen mehrmals die Nacht. Das weckt die Hähne und die schreien auch dann die Nacht durch. In unserer letzten Nacht ging das ganze um 2 Uhr morgens los & die schönen Hütten sind leider extrem hellhörig. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage und es war sehr heiß. Dazu noch die Lage, direkt neben dem Stromgenerator der Insel, der dauerbrummt - und das nicht leise. Nach dem ersten Tag fällt es nicht mehr so stark auf, sobald man an einem ruhigeren Ort ist, merkt man aber wie stark die Lärmbelastung ist. Für Taucher ist es auch absolut ungeeignet, da es 2km zum Strand/Dive Center sind und ein Bike 500 Peso/Tag mieten.. Nur geeignet für nicht Taucher die nicht Lärmempfindlich sind.

The family who runs the place is lovely and they help you with everything with a smile on their face. Shared toilets were clean and shower was ok. Food was nice and it was a short walk from the north beach. There isn’t much else in the north part of the island. Couple of other restaurants at the beach. Yes the generator is next to the hostel but it didn’t bother me at all. Sounds like a fan and you don’t really pay attention to it. It was just a backround noice like the roosters. Maybe you can hear it better at the dorm room which is closer to it. The huts are on the other end of the yard.

Die Unterkunft liegt fußläufig am Nordstrand, wo man sehr gut entspannen kann. Die Freiluftdusche hat einen guten Wasserdruck und die Toiletten werden regelmäßig gereinigt. Essen vor Ort ebenfalls gut. Sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis.

Man muss sich im Klaren sein, dass man 25 Minuten fußläufig vom Zentrum entfernt ist, oder 50 Pesos pro Kopf für ein Motorbike bezahlen muss. Uns hat es nicht gestört!

This place is so magical! The Huts are super comfortable - and surprisingly cool at night. The restaurant serves delicious food (especially the curry!). There are adorable cats and dogs that are super friendly. And then there is Richard and the team at Georgia's Neverland - incredibly helpful, kind, and just a real pleasure to be around! Anything you need, they'll sort it out for you. You truly feel like you are somewhere special when you stay here.

Diese Unterkunft ist schon was ganz besonderes. Richard und auch alle Angestelten geben sich so unglaublich viel Mühe mit allem und sind jederzeit für einen da. Ich habe in einem der Bungalows übernachtet und habe mich richtig zu Hause gefühlt. Sie sind sehr einfach eingerichtet, aber man kommt gut zurecht. Es gibt sogar Strom im Bungalow. Die Gemeinschaftsduschen und Toiletten werden super oft sauber gemacht und sind immer in einem top Zustand. Die Küchenladys zaubern allerhand Köstlichkeiten, welche man direkt vor Ort bestellen kann. Alles zu sehr fairen Preisen. Kaffee, Wasser und Tee gibt es rund um die Uhr umsonst. Der Nordstrand ist 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt und meiner Meinung nach einer der schönste Strand der Insel. Mit dem Rollertaxi kommt man sonst aber auch überall ganz schnell hin, kostet 50 Pesos pro Strecke. Ich komme wieder!

Ja der Generator um die Ecke ist anfangs etwas laut, aber man gewöhnt sich sehr schnell dran und es klingt nach einiger Zeit wie ein Ventilator. Was da wesentlich lauter ist, sind die ganzen Hähne und Hunde überall auf der Insel, aber das ist ja auf den ganzen Philippinen so. Von daher, bringt Ohropax mit. Nicht nur für Malapascua.

La cabaña y el sitio en general son cómodos en relación a lo que pagas. El personal es muy agradable y te ayudan en todo lo que necesitas. El sitio tiene mucha esencia. Está apartado del pueblo y al lado de North Beach, la mejor playa de la isla en la que te puedes bañar tranquilo y pasear a gusto. Tienes el pueblo a 20 mins andando y a 5 en moto. En el hostel puedes o alquilar motos por 500 pesos o que te lleven por 50.

El depósito de diésel o generador que tienen al lado, le rompe toda la atmósfera y hay mucho ruido. El sitio está rodeado de gallos, por la noche dan un poco de lata pero bueno, si tienes el sueño profundo no hay problema.

It was stated on booking that there were private bathrooms, this is not the case. The sound from the regenerator is really loud. Pods are small, as well as beds!

Trotz Stromerzeuger um die Ecke war die Unterkunft sehr gemütlich und man konnte seine Privatsphäre genießen . Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit ! Ich würde trotz dem bisschen Lärm vom Stromerzeuger wieder kommen !

Tolle Lage im Norden der Insel.

Leider hat die Abholung am frühen Morgen mit dem Scooter Taxi nicht wirklich funktioniert, sodass ich fast meinen Tauchgang verpasst hätte.

The property is very unique and very well thought out. Lots of fun areas to hangout and Richard has done an amazing job designing all the different types of buildings. They also take the leaves every morning so the area felt very nice and enjoyable to spend time at.

Social place, out of the main town. Beautiful huts.

Extremly loud, hard to rest. Every morning at 2.30 am the roosters start making noise. And they are many.

The property is beautiful, the huts are very comfortable and Richard helps maintaining a very warm and cozy ambiance. Could only recommend!

As for other comments, beware of the generator’s noise. Although you’ll forget it after a few hours.

Staff were super helpfull. They made great food breakfast and dinner. They washed my dirty clothes so I could be ready for rest of my trip.

It‘s such a little paradise that was built here - I cannot recommend this accomodation enough 🌞 We extended twice! The huts are super cute and comfy, everything is clean and the staff is amazing 💚 It‘s also close to North Beach, which is stunning 🏝️

Couldn’t name anything

We loved staying at Neverland with Richard and his family. Everyone is super friendly and helping. Richard helped to arrange activities as well as transportation for us. Showering outdoors, comfortable beds and good breakfast - we had a great stay!

The ONLY downside: it’s rather loud in the area due to a generator working non stop. But we got some earplugs and could sleep without a problem

Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen, so gut, dass ich meinen Aufenthalt um 2 Tage verlängert habe. Der Gastgeber Richard ist super. Man wird super freundlich in Empfang genommen, er hilft bei jedem Anliegen wie zum Beispiel dem Organisieren von Tauchen und Schnorchelausflügen. Mir hat die Lage sehr gut gefallen. Man ist weg von den ganzen Resorts und kann die Insel so viel authentischer erleben. Man ist auch in der Nähe vom wunderschönen North Beach. Der Transport ist kein Problem, Richard organsiert immer ein Motorbike für 50 Pesos pro Weg. Das Essen ist auch super.

Man darf kein Luxus erwarten. Der Stromgemerator ist wie ein lauter Ventilator, hat mich aber nicht besonders gestört. Warmwasser gibt es keines, was aber bei den Temperaturen kein Problem ist.

The staff was extremely nice. Offered pickup from the port and even brought me some groceries when I was sick. The food is amazing, and the property is within walking distance of a very nice beach.

The location was quite far from the center and, overall, the property could be cleaned more often (specially the dorm).

AC was very cold in dormitory room, no middle temperature. But we could easily sleep without during the night.

Als je een echt familiegevoel wil hebben, waarbij de liefste mensen alles voor je over hebben, dan moet je hierheen gaan! We hebben zo erg genoten! Richard hielp ons met alles! Hij hielp ons met het vinden van een duikschool en regelde een mooie korting, hij bracht ons keer op keer weer naar de andere kant van het eiland op elk tijdstip voor 50 peso’s en hij was altijd in voor een praatje. We hebben heerlijk geslapen in de meest schattigste huisjes en hebben ook heerlijk genoten van het eten van chef Joe. Het hostel zit ook op loopafstand van North Beach, het mooiste strand van het eiland. Er zit ook een dierenopvang naast het hostel, waar je zeker een kijkje kan nemen en de diertjes kan helpen! Ik zou weer 100% terugkomen.

Richard and his team have made my stay so special. They go out of their way to provide their guests with a care free and relaxing vacation. The location near north beach provides you with a lovely, relaxing place to hang out and enjoy the island. Despite the laid back and low key nature of the island, cleanliness is great and the place is very well maintained. The dorm room has a well functioning AC too. Make sure to ask Richard about recommendations for diving, snorkeling etc., he knows the best places :)

If you’re looking to spend more time at the main beach, you should get yourself a scooter (which Richard would also provide upon request). Also food options are limited near the place, so you might want to bring some snacks.

Neighboring property has a loud generator

Great value for money, gorgeous little spot and very friendly hosts.

The property is nestled away from the main part of the island, just next to the beautiful North Beach. Richard and his family are true gems and he will go out of his way to make sure you are comfortable at Neverland. He is the most welcoming and accommodating host and it felt like a second family as I stayed for over a month there (the house cat will love to come on your lap everyday for some cuddles). Absolutely recommend Georgia’s Neverland and hope to return in the future! Salamat Richard

I loved everything for my stay, but be aware that at the moment the main generator of the island is making a continuous noise next to the property. The dorm has AC and the huts have fans. The water for outdoor showers and sink is salt water and there aren’t as many food places options in the north so you will most likely have to go to the south.

El recinto es precioso y las cabañitas muy confortables. El chico que regenta el hostel era muy simpático y hablador. Estuvo muy atento y predispuesto a todo.

Justo al lado habia un generador que hacía algo de ruido. Aunque por la noche ni lo notamos.

El lugar es muy bonito, las cabañas y espacios compartidos. Es un lugar tranquilo, alejado del centro pero a unos 25 minutos caminando/ 10 en motocicleta (la isla es muy pequeña). El dueño es muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar/buscar tours disponibles para ti. También ofrecen servicio de traslado en su motocicleta por si lo necesitas.

Al parecer en toda la isla se sufre un poco con el agua potable en las duchas (es un poco salado). Aunque la ubicación quede cerca en moto, la carretera está remodelación por lo que con lluvia puede ser un poco complicado el camino (los conductores de la isla ya saben como manejar por ahí, así que no hay de que preocuparse). Solo queda ir preparado para estos dos puntos y a disfrutar de la isla!

Tous, le couple qui tient ça sont super gentils, très arrangeants, à l'écoute ce plis en 4 pour que l'on soit satisfait. Le lieu est très joli, romantique, pour les amoureux de la simplicité. Il y a une plage à 500 mètres idyllique.

I had a fantastic stay at the Neverland, Malapascua. The rooms were clean and extraordinary, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The staff, especially Kuya Richard, the owner was incredibly friendly. He is great with his innate customer service values. and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure his guests receive a comfortable stay. The location was also perfect, with easy access to North beach. We also appreciated Kuya Richard with the complimentary offer to stay in a new nipa hut, which was more expensive at no additional cost. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Malapascua.

Perfect location for a budget hotel with a short walk to a hidden gem beach (North Beach) in the island. Richard, the host, is so kind and welcoming. He will make you feel truly at home, and will help you with whatever you need.

Nothing! Not even the generator sound bothered me (perhaps as long as you request a room down the back).

Despite of the near electricity generator the shared room (dorm) was quite peaceful, also the hut were good. The staff is very helpful and it’s a very good choice in Malapascua.

The staff were super friendly! Especially the owner, kuya richard 🩷 he was helpful as well, you won’t have a problem if you don’t have any planned activities on the island yet. The place was clean and comfy and really great if you’re looking for an affordable stay.

We had a fantastic stay! The place was spotless, with a good Wi-Fi connection and great-smelling laundry that made it feel like home. It’s also just a small walk to Malapascua’s most beautiful beach! Richard, the host, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. He truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Whether it was arranging transport into town or helping us get great deals on diving, he was always more than happy to help. Highly recommend and we will definitely be returning!
