We had booked considering the 9.7 rating in booking.com. Nothing as per that

Very disappointing ! My confirmed booking through booking .com was cancelled by the property ,even when I had paid an advance as requested by them! Had to search and manage by staying at a friend's place with family due to this disgusting and greedy property , although they did refund my advance ,that doesnt help ,they ruined my travel experience to north ,will never ever recommend this place to anyone!!

We had a wonderful stay at Georgie’s Homestay — it truly felt like a home away from home. The food was absolutely delicious, prepared with so much warmth and care by Mr. and Mrs. George. The ambience was perfect, making our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. A special thanks to Mr. George and his family for their incredible hospitality and for making our trip so memorable and awesome. Thank you for everything! The property itself is beautiful — a perfect blend of rustic wooden charm and modern comfort, maintained with exceptional cleanliness that instantly makes you feel at ease. What truly makes this homestay special are the wonderful hosts, Mr. George and his wife. Their humility, warmth, and hospitality make you feel less like a guest and more like part of their family. The food they prepare is incredibly homely and delicious, with every meal served with genuine care, creating a true “home away from home” experience. I will definitely miss the Chonak Fish, Prawns and the Masala Omlette. Adding even more charm to the stay is their adorable pet, Ace — a fun-loving, affectionate, and well-behaved dog who instantly wins everyone’s heart. He is truly a darling and brings so much joy and positivity to the atmosphere. He also sings along on his favorite song. Whether you’re traveling with family or friends, Georgie’s Wooden Homestay is a hidden gem. The peaceful surroundings, heartfelt hospitality, and comforting ambience make it stand out from the usual commercial stays in Goa. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting Goa — you won’t just leave with wonderful memories, but with the feeling of having found a second home.

There is nothing that I would dislike about this stay.

Everything was excellent, stay was very neat, clean and superb hygienic... Price was also affordable.

I had a pleasant stay at Georgies Wooden Homes in Goa. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had a nice cozy wooden feel. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby beaches and local markets. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. The surroundings were peaceful, perfect for relaxing after a long day of घूमना. Overall, it was a good experience and value for money. We stayed here very happily for just over 2 months during February & March 2026 and could not have chosen a better place for a longish stay George, Loretta & daughter Janice were wonderful hosts & could not have been more helpful Food was so good, & real value for money, that we chose to eat in every night - on request George would purchase very good fresh fish which was then cooked to perfection, we particularly recommend the prawns which were delicious! We met other Guests who were friendly & seemed to be enjoying their stay as much as we enjoyed ours

Everything was quite good. Pool needs to be big but it’s quite good as per the tourist. There are only 4 rooms so taken care by george is amazing and as per the guest pool is also satisfying

Деревянный домик вдали от шумных улиц. Приятные хозяева, выполняли все просьбы. Вкусный завтрак. На территории есть кафе, где можно и пообедать и поужинать.

Мы жили внизу на первом этаже, так-как дом деревянный соседей сверху очень слышно.

Отличный уютный гостевой дом в Калангуте, находится в 10 минутах пешком от пляжа. Вокруг много растительности, по утрам впечатление единения с природой. Отличный бассейн. Очень гостеприимный персонал. Неплохой завтрак. Очень хорошее соотношение цена/качество.

Firstly the hosts were really welcoming and sweet. The room was very clean and comfortable. Food was great and at a good price. The hosts also give the guests contacts for renting bikes or scooters. (Door step delivery). Parking available as well. Overall an amazing experience.

I liked the host George uncle & Aunty, both welcomed us & helped us to settle in. We had homely authentic goan food which they provide from their pretty kitchen, property has pool and sitting area as well as dining area, they have friendly pet Sea who sings when you play his fav song, peaceful property. cottage wooden room was cleaned well maintained, comfy and the cute balcony. Washroom was clean and well maintained. Easily one can arrange bike,car& cab etc, George uncle will help you with the finding. I had overall really best experience, I will visit again soon, thanks uncle & aunty for making our stay super comfortable.

1. The lovely couple who run it. They are incredibly dedicated, warm, and always ready to help. They went out of their way to make sure all my needs were addressed, making the stay comfortable and completely hassle-free. 2. The cottage is quaint, peaceful, and exceptionally neat and clean. You can immediately feel the care and attention that has gone into maintaining the place. 3. The food that was served was great, a lot of labour of love! 4. They have a cute dog Ace who also comes to greet you with warmth ☺️ Recommendation: If you're looking for a cozy, well-maintained place with thoughtful hosts who genuinely care about their guests, I would highly recommend Georges wooden homes. I’m sure you will enjoy it just as much as I did.

Wonderful hotel! Clean rooms with a cozy wooden design. The hotel grounds are also clean. We had breakfast included: a choice of eggs, toast, butter, juice, and coffee/tea. Everything was delicious and filling. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, away from noisy roads and cafes. Special thanks to the owner of the guest house, George. He is very responsive and attentive to guests. He is always on site and you can always reach out to him. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel!

The room is a true oasis of peace, close to the center and the beaches of Calangute. The food prepared by Mr. Georgies is truly excellent, as is his hospitality and the countless thoughtful touches he provides. I highly recommend this experience and hope to be able to return.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the food was tasty and well-prepared, and the staff was extremely polite, attentive, and supportive throughout the stay. The homestay has a peaceful, homely atmosphere and is well located in Calangute, making it easy to relax and explore nearby areas. A great choice for a comfortable and pleasant stay in Goa.

All is good about the property. Accessible to beach, open space, super warm host and hospitality. It just feels like being at home.

Bfast was custom tailored, piping hot and tasty. Wonderdful host who was ever helpful. Even dropped us to he bus stand on check out.

Excellent host-George and family, makes you feel home.

I never write reviews but this one deserves a special mention. George is such a lovely host. I had issues with delayed flights and he was on hand 24/7 to check me in. I also ate there and the food was amazing. The bed and room was extremely comfortable. George goes above and beyond to help you book transport, rent bikes, whatever you need. The price is unbelievable for the place, a real hidden gem full of kindness. If you’re booking a trip to Calangute this is a must.

This place is built and maintained by a professional who is passionate about his work. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well maintained and every minute detail is taken care of. The calangute market is on a walk by distance. So if your preference is well maintained heigine rooms with some peace, calm and privacy needed. Opt for this. I extend my stay after the service and would love to visit again in future. Congrats to the owner and thankyou for the hospitality.

Hospitality of homestay honer was too good. Always smiling face...The room is neat and clean... breakfast is good...the small swimming pool is very good....cum and quit..value for money. Properly is just 1 km away from Calangute beach.

The palace is very nice. There behavior is also very very Good. They treat us like family members.

The host, George D'Souza, was simply amazing. This was our first homestay, and frankly, my wife and I were a bit apprehensive about the facilities. From the moment we arrived, George made us not only absolutely comfortable, but he went miles beyond that. He provided us with all the things that we asked for at different points of time. It felt completely like home but with no worries of any housekeeping for us. The food was superb. He even made dishes with recipes given by my wife very happily. We have been so happy with our stay that we have booked in advance for the next year too.

Whatever suggestions I gave to George for improving the facilities he has immediately implemented.

Everything is perfect, the location, facilities and staff. The host himself stays there with his family and personally handles all the guests, which made everything easier for us. They are very friendly and we never felt like a guest there, the rooms are very well made and maintained. They have a small cafe too with good food amd drink options. The host helped us getting a rented scooter and a taxi too. Atlast the their pet dog makes the stay more joyful as hes very playful.

When I reach at location they said, double booking is wrongly made and did not allow us

We stayed at this beautiful place for 4 nights we also extended our stay for 1 night as we liked the place so much. If it is not booked for the next few days we will stay here more for sure, okay now come to the point *Rooms - very good clean and enough space for couples, everything was there ,from storage, tv, fridge, mirror. *Bathroom - Very much clean and water 🌊 flow in shower 🚿 was too good. *Cafe & kitchen - As a vegetarian definitely get less options in GOA but must try cashew peas curry 🍛 here. The price is good(worth it ) *Staff - jitna likhun utna kam ❤️ Georgie was always one call away for you any time. Rocky brother was also there to help you with your any requirements. Complete privacy, it's never felt that we are staying at any hotel and resort, it has a homely vibe, we had fun at the swimming pool. Plus point - *Georgies take hygiene very much seriously you will never find anything messed up around you. *You also can also have a private pool party 🎉 if you want to. At last I must say , it was an amazing stay I wish ye booked nhi hota to aur ruk pata. But Thank you again Georgie & Family, oh I forgot to mention "Ace" 🐕 if you are a pet lover you will love to play with him. 10/10
