Tastefully decorated and equipped with absolutely everything you might need for a relaxing getaway.

Not really anything the owners can control but there is a rooster nearby who may disturb light sleepers.

Pet friendly with a big lawn for the dogs to explore and full self catering facilities and very helpfuland friendly hosts

There is a steep spiral staircase to the upstairs bedroom which didn’t bother us but could be difficult for some

Cottage had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Upstairs is quaint and comfortable with beautiful views. Lovely warm bedding for the chilly evenings and a great shower head. Very pretty town a surrounds to explore.

The views from upstairs and the birds lining up at the bird feeders. The property accommodated our two dogs and even made sure they were watered and comfortable. Loads of welcoming treats made us feel very honored to be there. Host was very friendly and accommodating.

The property is beautifully decorated and has all the amenities that one would want/ expect and more. The setting is calm and tranquil, The sunrise and view from the balcony at your bedroom is epic.

We really enjoyed our stay here — the host was exceptional from the very first message to the warm meet and greet. The apartment is private, spotless, and very well catered for, with everything we needed in the kitchen. We especially enjoyed both outdoor areas — the upstairs space off the bedroom and the downstairs braai area. If you are reading my review, it means you are looking for a place to stay in Riebeek Kasteel — and you should absolutely stay with Bella. She has created an exceptionally beautiful place where every single detail is perfectly thought through. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home. The accommodation is stunning, spotless, and offers a breathtaking view from the terrace. In the kitchen, you’ll find lovely touches waiting for you — delicious snacks, milk, tea, and everything you need to feel welcomed and comfortable. I truly fell in love with this place and I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended

We had a fantastic stay — the perfect weekend getaway! Anabela has truly thought of everything to make guests feel at home. The accommodation was exceptionally well-equipped, comfortable, and exceeded our expectations. Plus, the location was ideal — close to town yet peaceful. An amazing experience all around!

The cottage had everything we needed and was very clean. There was a clear attention to detail as it was so beautifully furnished. We received a warm welcome from the host who treated us with fresh milk, bottles of water and some chocolates. We will definitely visit again!

If you're ever in Riebeek Kasteel or in the Swartland area, this is where you want to stay. The cottage had everything that we needed and is beautifully appointed. The bed was comfortable, with extra blankets for colder nights and an aircon for those hot summer nights. We loved the Victorian bath and the highlight of our stay was the view over their orchid with the beautiful bird calls and bird song. Anabela is a delightful host with an eye for detail! Next time we'll take our fur babies with us as the cottage is enclosed.

We were greeted very warm and friendly. There is so much attention to detail and things you did not realize you might have forgotten.

The shower has no glass around, so the floor gets very wet when taking a shower.

This lovely unit has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The host, Anabela, is friendly and extremely helpful. She has ensured that guests are made to feel welcome and at home

Perfectly clean. Superb attention to detail. Superb quality linen, furnture fittings, utensils and crockery. Ambience and view of the best. Nothing to fault in any aspect. Our expectations were truly exceeded. Then the hosts! Wow! Anabel's warm and spontanious communication is very special. It was my wife's birthday and she even provided some gifts to make her feel special. We are so gratefull to have stayed there for a weekend. Will be back!

The cottage is beautifully appointed with all the comforts one may need. Lots of treats and excellent coffee. The view is delightful and the cottage is very well located to enjoy Riebeek Kasteel, The host was very friendly and helpful.

The hosts are so thoughtful. You will never lack for anything in this place, making your stay the most comfortable you’ve ever experienced anywhere in the world!

Beautiful design, very cosy and also very practical. Everything we needed was there, even the smallest things like first aid, boardgames, scented candles and braai utensils.

The property was beautifully decorated, very clean and fully equipped for all our needs (and more). The property offers privacy and a beautiful view from the balcony. We enjoyed a braai one evening in our private courtyard. The host was friendly and kind, assisting us with some wonderful recommendations. The property is located conveniently near to a variety of restaurants and wine farms. It was a tranquil getaway and I would highly recommend this beautiful spot to any couple (who doesn’t mind a few of stairs).

We had a lovely time at cosy Silky Oaks and all the little touches made such a difference - there is everything you need and more, even for the doggies! Annabella was a great host and very welcoming. We look forward to visiting again some day, thank you!

We loved the quietness, the small detail left in the apartment by the owner, like fresh milk left in fridge,etc. The mosquito net and aircon was a big plus!! Anabela is a very warm and friendly host. The outside braai area was very nice. It was a very cosy stay!!

We visited in December so the days were very hot, but luckely they supplied for it! Can't think of anything we did not like!

What a fantastic find! We loved that the apartment offers two inviting outdoor spaces for relaxation: a private courtyard with a spacious dining table as well as a balcony with a lovely view. The bedding was of exceptional quality, and the mosquito net was a thoughtful touch. Anabela, our host, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She went above and beyond, leaving us Lindt chocolates and the most delicious biscotti. The accommodation is pet-friendly and even includes a cot for a baby, making it ideal for couples or small families. Its location is perfect: just a short stroll to the town center, where you can explore charming art galleries and unique shops. We can’t recommend Silky Oaks Couples Retreat highly enough!

I fell in love with Silky Oaks Couples Retreat in Riebeek Kasteel for its tranquil charm and the serene escape it offers from the everyday hustle and bustle. The unique combination of breathtaking landscapes and a peaceful atmosphere creates the perfect setting for anyone looking to unwind in nature—especially with your furry dogs by your side.

There wasn’t much to dislike about the retreat—it truly felt like the perfect getaway. If I had to mention anything, it would be how quickly time seemed to fly in such a peaceful setting! A big thank you to Anabela for being such a wonderful host.

I have been travellinga lot in ZA during the last 18 years and therefore rented many cottages. This cottage is certainly one of my three favourites. As soon as one enters the house it is obvious with how much care, love and intelligence everything is thought out. Nothing cheap but very comfortable bed, nice and enough plates, cups, glasses, knives that cut, great thick bathtowels, nice light at night and spactacular view from the balcony. All that topped by a highly appreciated welcoming very good bottle of wine and some nice chocolates and kind and good advice by Anabela. I wish I had booked for a month ! But I shall certainley stay here again whenever I come back to RK. T H A N K Y O UFelt

The fluffy bathrobes were a lovely bonus. The view and sunlight in the bedroom during the day was great for a relaxing day of lounging and reading.

Clean, organised. Our fantastic host Anabela, made sure our stay, was first class!

Beautiful, peaceful setting, near the vines, with views of the mountains. Lovely outside sitting area with braai. The lounge and bedroom were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and had extras like real coffee and biscotti. Our dog felt very much at home with a lovely big dog cushion provided. Anabela was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

The host was extremely helpful and friendly. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The venue is very well appointed with all the necessary creature comforts. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

Everything in the cottage is top quality, from the coffee to the linen. Our hostess, Anabela, was extremely helpful and accommodating and really went the extra mile.

Property was very clean and housed all necessities plus extras (that were of great quality).

Our stay at Silky Oaks was absolutely incredible. The space is beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything we could have needed! The kitchen has everything from braai essentials to baking equipment. We thoroughly enjoyed the cozy loft space, and the air conditioner helped us through the sweltering afternoons! Anabela is an attentive and thoughtful host, who put so much love and care into making us and our pup feel at home. We will most certainly be back!

We had a lovely stay. The cottage really has everything you would need for self catering and is well equipped with new appliances. Bed slept very comfortable with a good air conditioner in the bed room. We were also close distance (short drive) to town to visit shops and restaurants, and a little further drive to wine farms in the area. Of course, best of all, the place is pet friendly. Thanks for a lovely stay.
