Almond Cottage

A delightful, more than fully equipped cottage, awaited our arrival. We wanted for nothing, were extremely comfortable and our host Ina was the most wonderful, friendly person. We found home-made rusks, a lovely welcoming bottle of wine and so many other small and big touches which made our stay extremely special. There was a fire place inside which was more than comforting; an air conditioner if needed; a private pool for summer visits, a fire pit and a braai outside which again were private and secluded. Thank you once again Ina for making us feel so welcome and comfortable and for all your advice and knowledge of the surrounding area. We will certainly be back if we're in the area again.

Very spacious and well-equipped one bedroom cottage with small details and touches that make a big impact. We loved our stay in one of our favourite towns. Ina is a lovely host and we highly recommend her place.

It is a shame we did not use the private braai area due to the weather - we will simply have to book again!

What a quaint and charming cottage. Private parking available inside the property. Cottage feels blissful and we did not want to venture out & about for too long. Luxurious, laidback and homey. Outdoor area with private braai. During Summer season the private pool would be fabulous. Yes, there’s even a private pool. We visited in Winter & the fireplace inside adds to the cosy feel. Almond cottage should definitely be on your must stay list, do not look further for an amazing haven, whenever you have the Riebeeck Valley on your travelling itinerary. The cottage is fully equipped, has amazing features. A bathroom to rival a Garden & Home-House & Leisure special feature. Deck chairs outside for leisure reading. Relaxing atmosphere with comfortable silence & charming bird song providing pure soul food. The hostess, Ina is a true gem and her genuine friendliness and heartfelt welcome, felt like meeting an old friend. She has carefully prepared the cottage, it even has an egg cooker. I would say her genuine hospitality and friendly nature will for sure be welcoming guests again and again.

It was neat and had aircon and pivate pool

Everything about Almond Cottage is a sheer delight. Facilities were second to none with lovely linen and products. The jewel in the crown is quite possibly the garden and pool area which was private for our use. We wish we had stayed longer so that we could have a braai. Sitting having breakfast at the garden table watching the birds and hearing the almonds falling off the tree, was something very special.

Absolutely nothing, other than we had to leave!

The outside space was fabulous with the pool and seating areas. AMAZING bathroom and really comfortable bed! We had total privacy too which was lovely. Ina had thought of everything!! ( Toiletries were divine too!)

Sehr freundlicher persönlicher Empfang und Verabschiedung. Das kleine Cottage ist sehr durchdacht und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohlgefühlt. Es verfügt über keine Küchenzeile. Geschirr, Besteck etc. sowie eine Mikrowelle sind aber vorhanden; den Abwasch hat Ina für uns übernommen. Sie hat uns netterweise ihren Eierkocher zur Verfügung gestellt, damit wir nicht auf unsere Frühstückseier verzichten mussten. Somit hatten wir alles, was wir brauchten. Es gibt im wunderschönen kleinen Garten zwei herrliche Sitzplätze und Liegestühle. Der eigene Pool ist ein Traum! Ein Grillplatz vor dem Cottage und ein Ofen im Vorraum stehen auch bereit. Es hat uns also an nichts gefehlt. Wir werden wiederkommen!

Clean, modern, and private. Off steet parking and felt secure and we could just relax and enjoy the garden. Welcoming and friendly check-in by the owner. We will definitely book again.

Exceptionally friendly and welcoming host. The room and outside area was amazing, with in total three seating areas: an enclosable stoep area, around a fire pit and undercover bench at the braai. The private and own use swimming pool was great. All amenities we're included and of high quality. Aircon and large comfortable bed. We'll definitely revisit and can 100% recommend this accommodation.

The host Ina Kellerman is an absolute Angel. She constantly checks that you are comfortable without intruding on your privacy. This place was an real gem with all the comforts you need for your stay. So private and even your own pool and outside dining area, firepit and braai area. Lovely location. We stayed here for 6 nights and really dreaded leaving. Highly, highly recommend the Almond Cottage to anyone for an outstanding breakaway. We most definitely will be back. Thank you so much Ina. Lots of love to you, smokey and lucy ❤️

The additional amenities was amazing, having our own private pool and two braai areas. The host was also very nice and helpful and the place had everything we could possibly need.

The host, Ina, and her attention to detail made our stay exceptional. We will definitely be back to enjoy what Riebeeck Kasteel and the Swartland Wine and Olive estates have to offer 😀

The place is very nicely decorated with good quality appliances. The shower was great...lots of pressure! We really appreciated the private pool!

The almond cottage was very aesthetic and luxurious .The bed and bedding, 12/10! Refreshments were on point,even a stocked espresso machine.The host did not skimp on quality and provided the best for her guests.The entire set-up from the pool to the deck was very picturesque and relaxing. This is the perfect mini getaway for a couple.

The owner has truly gone above and beyond to make one's stay as comfortable as it can get. Even though on same property as owners, The setting is intimate and completely seperate. So many little touches that make the whole stay so special. Incredible modern bathroom. Nespresso machine with fresh milk in the fridge. A bowl of fruit and choccies. The MOST comfortable bed. I think I had the best sleep of the last 6 months. I can go on.....but enough said.

Clean, inviting pool and deck area. Very private and well set up for hanging out outside. Quiet fan and aircon in room. Communicative, friendly, easy going and non-intrusive host.

Here goes a very long overdue review. We spent a weekend in Riebeek-Kasteel at Almond Cottage and absolutely loved our stay. The Host went out of her way to ensure a comfortable stay. She even set out a plate of snacks upon request as it was our anniversary. They respected our privacy and communicated via WhatsApp to ensure that we have everything we need. The cottage was clean with aesthetically pleasing finishes. We also enjoyed the aircon and the fan when we were not out and about as it was a hot weekend. We also enjoyed the small fireplace during the evenings. This is a perfect getaway for couples. We will gladly revisit Almond Cottage when we explore more of the area. 12/10!! Superb Experience

Friendly, helpful and considerate hosts.Ina and hubby are the best! Well catered accommodation that answered our every wish and need. Great braai and pool facilities. Top notch facilities all round including the room and bathroom. Everything provided ensured relaxation.

The room was a bit small and there was no kitchen but the positives more than made up for it and these didn't concern us really.

Clean, neat, modern, nice touches like stocked with milk, tea, coffee and rusks. Sole use of pristine fair-sized swimming pool. Air con and ceiling fan provided as the area is renowned for being exceptionally hot in summer.

Would be great to have block-out / curtains over the blinds as the sun comes streaming into the bedroom in the early morning. It makes having a lazy morning in bed a bit tricky.

The place was very clean and the host was more than welcoming. Her service exceeded my expectations. Perfect getaway from the city to go relax.

Fantastic little spot, beautifully furnished, exceeded our expectations, comfortable, private, very spacious with extra areas for dining, sitting outside, swimming or entertaining. 5 minute walk to town, secure parking, aircon and ceiling fan, everything we needed and more.
