Harbour View House

Clean and neat. Convenient location with regards why we were in Durban. Beautiful view. Spacious. Comfortable beds. Well equipped. Date might cinema was available. Lovely host. Private pool and garden. Were able to watch the monkeys mission. Plenty parking which accommodated the height of our vehicle with a Thule box.

Showers were awkwardly positioned. Oven had a fishy smell and the air fryer dripped grease when on. Some towels had a damp smell but we were able to wash them in the washing machine. Jungle gym was unfortunately broken and trampoline was a little suspect. Drive way was very steep.

The location couldn’t be better — close to everything we needed, with a stunning view overlooking the harbour. The facilities were excellent: a sparkling swimming pool, a fun kids’ play area, and even a private home theatre for entertainment. Our host was so welcoming and took the time to explain everything about the property, which made us feel right at home.

The house is very spacious and beautiful 😊 House furniture is proper, everything we needed was there., Good host, very professional and understanding, the security guys were nice as well. We felt safe.. We had a great stay. 👍

We liked everything about the place. The host Seth and his wife were amazing hosts. We definitely coming back. The house is fully furnished and with every equipment you going to need for your stay. They even have board games which we enjoyed so much. Thank you and your team for a great experience.

We absolutely fell in love with this place! The house was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. The garden was peaceful and well maintained, with breathtaking views. We really enjoyed the private pool and the braai area , perfect for relaxing and spending time together. What made our stay even more special was the warm and attentive service. The caretakers, security, and Seth the owner were always available and ready to help if we needed anything. We truly felt taken care of and very welcome. We had a fantastic experience and will definitely book again!

We liked everything about the place. The size of the property and the size of the rooms also.

The place was very nice and airy. Plenty of light coming through and the view of the harbour was immaculate. Not to mention that the owner is very understanding and a very nice man. The facilities in the house were as if you were at home without the need of going to buy the essentials. We would book again in the near future. The Downside of this is that the local authority has loadshedding, which is not the owners fault

The place exceeds my expectation, my kids loved the place more than the beach...this was the most amazing place we visited, more like a Home away from Home. Well done to the Host

Everything was in order, we really appreciate the effort

1. We loved the simplicity of the home, and how all necessities of a home/staycation were provided. i.e. Cooking equipment&devices, utensils, cleaning supplies... 2. We loved the big windows in the entire house, that allowed us to see great views all round. 3. The view of the harbour was spectacular, especially from outside, next to the cinema room. 4. Who would say no to an outside shower? Loved, loved, loved! At some point there was a fault with the drain, and the caretaker was ready to assist. 5. Speaking of care taker, Abus was such great help during our stay- Very helpful and kind.

1. I didn't like that even though I specified our check-in and check-out times whilst making the booking, the host was dead-set on us checking in at 2pm. And that meant spending a dreadful 6-7hours at the airport, with kids. So definitely Booking.com needs to better communucate with their hosts. And the Host themselves should have shared this information earlier given that the booking was made 6months in advance. But I do appreciate Seth offering that the cleaner come on Tuesday at no cost. 2. There were 7 of us, and unfortunately not everyone was happy with the quality of the their beds. Seems as though the main room had the the best bed. 3. TVs were too small, and mounted high up in our bedrooms. Furthermore, only a couple of apps/channels were available. I wish there was just one big TV in a common living space(The lounge) so that we can all enjoy the same thing. 4. Although we enjoyed the minimalist decor, there weren't enough comfortable couches/bean bags for everyone to sit.

The property was well kept, clean, well furnished and made a very comfortable home away from home for us. It exceeded our expectations. The host was exceptional, welcoming and helpful.

Just after 9am, well before 10am (check out) we had staff come into the house while we were getting ready to leave the property- they started cleaning. It was uncomfortable. They were however friendly.

I cannot recommend this property enough. The host was by far one of the most outstanding and attentive hosts I've ever had and I travel incredibly frequently for business. The property was beautiful and the location great if you need a cosy home atmosphere close to Durban ICC.
