Cone Hill Farmstay - with bush and river walks - 80 sqm self contained

So tranquil and the decor was beautiful. Mary went above and beyond to welcome us. We went for a lovely romantic walk along the river.

This was a very beautiful place. Not at all like your normal ‘Farmstay’ as it was very chic and fashionable. Large accommodation with all facilities necessary for a good stay. A very tranquil setting And a lovely host. Lots of walks through the farm to enjoy. A long-ish but easy drive to the local town.

You are unable to walk to shops/activites. You have to drive but that’s to be expected on a Farmstay.

The bush walk was very nice. We enjoyed sitting out in the evening although we had to move the table and chairs from the front to the back as there is no seating in the back.

The description needs updating. Going to a farmstay we expected to meet a farmer ect. We didn't. There is NO coffee maker or dining table. There is also no comfortable place to sit. Not a fan of plastic chairs . The pillows were awful!

This is SUCH A GEM! located only 15 min from Raglan (which is devine!), you will find your lovely luxurious retreat surrounded by a beautiful garden. Your host Mary is so nice...warm, welcoming but never in your face. You will enjoy the super comfy king size bed, and the luxury of a warm bath (with all the complimentary toiletries). Ow, and did I mention all the details? This lady knows interior decorating (she is working as an high end fashion designer ;))

Great welcome on arrival, shown around the very large studio. You have one half of a large house, with full kitchen and enough room for two couples as there is a second double room. Absolutely beautiful gentle walk through old growth forest following a meandering stream. Have a soak in a bath when you return.

Love the location! So peaceful and beautiful The house was great and made us feel at home away from home. Mary was an amazing host! The place always smelled nice, clean, and I enjoyed the bath with the complimentary bubble bath and salts. Perfect way to end the day after hiking!

I liked how we had to cross a stream to get to it. I loved the decor. The smell of the diffusers were amazing. I loved the t.v in the room. The free wifi. The abundance of books. Also how accommodating it was when I asked to book outside the booking time. Thank you.

Just a heads up that it is a shared space with the owner when booking. But otherwise. Everything was good.

Very nice and quiet stay in a great location. Close to Raglan. The place is very nicely decorated, and the bed is super comfortable. Very clean place with all the amenities. The host was also very nice and helpful. Good value for money, would recommend this stay!

Host was a great - very welcoming. The space was set up very comfortably, with extra attention to detail with breakfast supplies. You are aware you're in one part of the house and the Host is in the other, however it still feels private in your comings and goings. It's situated on a beautiful property. Allow yourself an extra day just on the farm to explore and walk and generally relax if you have the time. Lovely spot. Host did say on checkout that there was access to washing facilities, so be sure to ask at checkin if that's something you need.

Mary was very friendly and hospitable. The unit was very tastefully done. Nothing was a problem.setting was very peaceful. We enjoyed the short walk along the river on the property. Close to Raglan. Highly recommend Cone Hill Farmstay!!!

No thing was a wonderful place to stay!!!

‘Do it yourself’ breakfast was just right! Everything we needed.. The trails on the farm, including a beautiful river path, were a real bonus!

The bed and daybed were very comfortable. Loved the added touch of a continental breakfast being supplied. We chose this place for the scenery because there was a walk on the doorstep, it didn't disappoint. The walk by the river and through the trees is lovely it's about a 2k round trip. You can cool off in the river. We found 2 really clear shallow spots. Mary is a lovely host, and we actually could have spent the day chatting to her. We will definitely be back.

We liked everything. We would probably just take our own pillow next time as we prefer thicker pillows.
