Bellissima struttura in legno immersa nel verde e nella tranquillità e al tempo stesso a 15 minuti da Kilkenny. Arredamento molto montano e di nostro gusto.

Unico nota negativa, se proprio devo trovarla, è che l’acqua della doccia faticava e rimanere calda.

Es el lugar perfecto para pasar unos días de paz y tranquilidad, por la mañana te despiertan los pajaritos, desde el interior puedes ver todo el bosque al fondo. Está todo muy nuevo, yo soy bastante exigente con la limpieza y este sitio ha estado a la altura. En el alojamiento tienes todo lo necesario para poder cocinar, además nos dejo algunas cosas y detalles para los desayunos. Pero si además le añades la amabilidad y dulzura de Lillie hace que no tengas ganas de irte, me hubiese gustado mucho hablar con ella de muchas cosas, cuando conoces en tu viaje alguien como Lillie me arrepiento de no tener un buen nivel de ingles. Viajo bastante y no siempre encuentras lugares como este, lo recomiendo mucho, si vuelvo por esta parte de Irlanda volveré sin duda. Muchísimas gracias Lillie

Lillie war sehr freundlich. Zudem hatten wir eine Willkommensüberraschung im Kühlschrank - sehr toll. Die Lage war ruhig und wunderschön. Es war sehr warm, durch das Öffnen aller Fenster konnten wir trotzdem ein angenehmes Raumklima erlangen. Der Aufenthalt war super!

The chalet was wonderful and very well appointed and the host was lovely and very welcoming.

In der liebevoll eingerichteten Hütte im Garten der Gastgeber war es super sauber und wir hatten ausreichend Platz zu zweit. Die Gastgeberinnen sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit! Unsere Koffer kamen mit einem Tag Verspätung an. Sie halfen uns aus, zum Beispiel mit Sonnencreme und dem nötigsten fürs Frühstück. Ganz toll!!! Von hier aus kann man Kilkenny gut erreichen.

We loved everything about our stay. The cabin was spotlessly clean, very cosy and had a beautiful atmosphere. Lovely gardens to explore and enjoy on the property too. 2 nights was not long enough!

A lovely chalet with a peaceful outlook. Private and quiet, comfy beds and well equipped it was exactly what we needed.

We had the most wonderful stay at Lillie and Dorothy's cabin. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that our hosts had thought of absolutely every detail. The cabin itself was beautiful, cozy, and had everything we could need. Lillie and Dorothy are warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience. It's rare to feel so completely at home somewhere new, and that's entirely down to them. A special mention must go to their dogs, who gave us the most enthusiastic welcome. We left feeling rested and already hoping to return. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed being in this chalet. Lillie has been an amazing host. We loved the cleanliness to detail of everything in the chalet. Nothing has been omitted. We love nature so the surroundings provided us with beauty and tranquility needed. Location was very handy, close to Kilkenny Town. For us we felt it was a bit pricey, but its worth it in the end. So altogether a very good experience. We recommend it with much pleasure.

Great scenery

It was a pleasure to stay in this comfortable chalet. I must thank Lillie for helping me when I had to cancel at short notice due to illness. I’m so pleased I could rebook and enjoy Kilkenny and its environs.

Diese Unterkunft besticht mit ihrem Charme und der Abgeschiedenheit. Hier kann man die Seele baumeln lassen und super Entspannen. Das Chalet ist liebevoll eingerichtet und es fällt einem leicht mal 5 gerade sein zu lassen. Es gibt eine kleine Küche mit Kühlschrank, Backofen und Zubehör zum Kochen und man kann beim Essen raus in den großen Garten schauen und die Stille genießen. Wenn das Wetter mitmacht kann man sogar draußen sitzen und die Sonne genießen. Ich kann dieses Chalet wärmstens empfehlen. Lillie hat mit diesem Ort etwas wundervolles erschaffen und ermöglicht einen somit den Alltagsstress hinter sich lassen zu können. Wir kommen gerne zurück wenn wir noch einmal nach Irland kommen!!

I'm went to chill out for a couple of days and it was perfect for that. I met the hosts on arrival and departure and they were really lovely. The facilities were spotless, I had everything I needed and the bed was very comfy. I would definitely recommend and would be very happy to return 😊

Everything, its set in a lovely location, the facilities were great, couldn't ask for anymore, the cabin is spotless and very comfortable. Liliy and Dorothy were fantastic hosts. It was nice to meet Jolly and Muffin as well. We will definitely be back again.

We chose this location for a bit of quiet after our time in Dublin. It delivered! The garden is lovely and serene. The house was very private. We loved it. It's a short drive into Kilkenny to see the sights, shop, and dine out. The hosts were very sweet and left us enough breakfast foods for our entire stay! We even cook a pre-prepared dinner one night, and enjoyed a quiet night in! The kitchen is small but adequate.

I LOVED my time at the chalet. Lillie and Dorothy were so welcoming. The setting is idyllic and the chalet is so comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches. The view out onto the garden is magical. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

This is a great little carriage house sitting on a large property with beautiful gardens. The host left farm fresh eggs, bread, butter milk, jams and yogurt in the fridge. The ladies that live here are absolutely delightful!! I would definitely stay here again.

One of my favourite stays ever. From how spacious and clean the chalet felt, to the beautiful and peaceful surroundings, and the warm welcome of the hosts including the generous treats and goods they left in the house, this stay was perfect. I worked remotely from here for a few days and the WiFi was amazing. Cooking in the kitchen was a pleasure. The furnishing felt luxurious, I loved the touch of the bed warmer on a cold rainy night!! Was genuinely sad to leave.

We had an amazing stay. The chalet is so clean, comfortable and cosy and has everything you could want we were even supplied with some nice things to eat. The location is fabulous so quiet and peaceful. We received a really warm welcome from the hosts and they couldn't do enough for you. We would highly recommend staying here and cannot wait to return.

Absolutely nothing

Lillie greeted me on arrival and showed me around the chalet. She explained how the various appliances worked and insisted that I should knock on her door if I had any questions about any aspect of my stay. Her welcome and hospitality was wonderful, and I would have no hesitation in recommending her chalet as a getaway for anybody who wants a quiet break in the countryside.

There was nothing I disliked.

It was very nice to sit in the bedroom chair overlooking the garden after a days cycle. The bed was perfect for sleeping. (private joke) The quality of the furnishing. It is a delight to not be completely surrounded by Ikea. Cycling closest by the house was an unexpected joy. The immediate surrounding is beautiful The personal touch in its broadest possible sense.

Great location, nice and quiet and Lillie and her dogs was very friendly. I was provided with the cooking essentials on arrival which was lovely and will happily return.

Unfortunately and not a result of the host but the recent storm, the internet was down for basically the majority of my stay. One of those things, but in a remote area, the mobile data was also limited. When it did finally come back on, the connection & speed were fine.

Lillie was wonderful host. She prepared some food for our stay. The stay was amazing. You can do bird watching every morning. The view is so calming. Do not hesitate to book with Lillie <3

We had the most relaxing two nights here. Lillie and Dorothy were the perfect hosts. The cabin was so cosy and clean. There was zero light pollution so we got to look out at the stars at night. There was also a bird table and a guide to bird spotting in the cabin so we used that

Lovely comfortable wooden cabin in exceptional internal condition. More than adequate heating for a winter stay. Located off a very quiet road. Totally silent and completely dark so ideal sleep conditions. Big bed and even an electric blanket! (Though we had no need for bedroom heating or electric blanket for our November visit) The communication and lovely welcome from the hosts was exceptional.

Absolutely lovely garden cottage with a perfect host owner. The cottage is quiet, comfortable and perfectly clean. The host provided us with basic supplies for breakfast. Kitchen is well equipped for those wanting to cook a bit. Location is out in the country, with plenty of space for off-road parking. Host is a delight - always around but never intrusive - for advice or directions.

Nothing really to dislike about this place. The only negative is that it is located out in the countryside so there is nothing nearby that is walkable. Those travelling with a car with love the seclusion.

Location was extremely peaceful. The provision of some basic foods was an unexpected bonus. The chalet itself gives an impression of bright, airy spaciousness, thanks to clever design and organization

There were really no negative features or experiences about my stay, so it is not possible to name anything I didn't like. I know from my own home that spiders can get anywhere that they decide to go, so finding a spider in the bathroom one morning was no big deal.

The scenery, the hosts and the cabin itself was lovely.

Our hosts, Dorothy and Lillie, made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived.everything was perfect. Chalet was very comfortable and spotless clean, and the lovely extras of milk ,butter eggs, yougort,fresh fruit, and cake was a nice surprise. The garden was also lovely. Would highly recommend a stay, and we hope to return again someday.

The location was great. The gardens were beautiful. Lovely seeing so many birds. The accommodation has a good sized bedroom with wardrobe space and some hangers. The kitchen, lounge, diner is small but functional and we were comfortable on the sofa watching tv in the evenings. Some nice treats were left for us which was a great bonus. Lillie and Dorothy live in the main house and are lovely and helpful. They bought us a card and some bubbly for our wedding anniversary which was a lovely touch..and offered us a lift into Kilkenny. The accommodation is around 15 to 20 minutes from Kilkenny which is a lovely city, worth visiting for at least a full day.

Everything was perfect. We ended up booking an extra night. It was just what we needed to unwind and relax. Our hosts Lillie and Dorothy treated us like family, we will definitely be back again next time we travel to Ireland.

Having to leave

Lillie was a wonderful host and made us feel welcome and at home at all times. The room was great, comfy bed and a great shower.

I had a two night stay here while visiting for the Bruce Springsteen concert in Kilkenny in May. When making the reservation I would have preferred to be closer to the city and had my doubts about the remoteness of the place but due to the high prices of accommodation in Kilkenny I decided to give it a go and what a fantastic decision that turned out to be. Communications with Lillie beforehand were excellent and when I pulled up at the premises she was waiting for me with the keys and a warm welcome. Everything about this place was top notch. Lillie and Dorothy are excellent hosts and the gardens were perfect for an early evening stroll. The birdsong being so relaxing. Everything in the chalet was done to the highest standard and the large cake, yoghurts, eggs and fruit were a lovely touch. Lillie made it clear that there would be no interruptions during my stay but that they were always available at the house if I was in need of anything during my stay. Another lovely touch. I won't be looking anywhere else if I visit the Kilkenny region again. This is the place for me. Thank you Lillie and Dorothy for a couple of wonderful days.

Lillie and Dorothy have created such a peaceful and safe space. The cabin is so beautiful, warm and has everything you could need for cooking/showering etc. The garden views are fantastic and there is so much to explore! Lillie and Dorothy are lovely and so helpful. Hopefully I'll be back in Kilkenny so I can stay here again!

The chalet is really warm and WiFi is great and the surrounding area is beautiful. The kitchen has everything you'll need and there was loads of space in the chalet. The view from the cabin is so beautiful we watched the birds for so long in the mornings. The cabin was perfect. So comfy and has everything you need. There were lovely walks nearby and also quick spin to Kilkenny. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back for a visit

The property itself is fantastic. The WiFi wasn’t working for our visit but was due to be fixed next week. We didn’t mind at all, it was nice to be off grid and fewer distractions.

The property is in an excellent location for touring Kilkenny and other visitor attractions. The chalet was very well appointed, clean and cosy. The views over the surrounding gardens were an added bonus. Lillie was there to greet us and made us feel very welcome straight away. She had also supplied milk, tea, coffee, yogurts and delicious cake!

The Chalet was one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed in. The most friendly welcome and the thoughtful leaving milk, tea, sugar, and even a cake illustrated the care, attention, and welcome. I could not more highly recommend this place.

Everything! Lillie and Dorothy are so friendly and their dogs.... adorable. Literally anything you would need at the chalet was there waiting when we arrived. Including a lovely view of the garden and trees beyond. We've travelled to a lot of hotels, b&bs and holiday chalets, etc. This trumped them all. I wish we could give them a higher score because Lillie really went the extra mile.

This place was absolutely amazing, the chalets were so so lovely. Lille had provided everything we needed and made sure our stay was a good happy one which was so was. We didn't want to leave. Lock on front door too tricky for us. The rail in the closet came off easily. The master bedroom has the squeekiest bed ever. No sex here! The toilet can be pretty tricky to flush.

the two landladies are the most kind and friendly people. their hospitality knows no limits. three friendly cute little dogs are a delight. the cabine is very well equipped. Even the fridge was filled. the ladies look very well after the estate. the garden is beautiful and shows respect for insects and other animals. a wonderful place to stay.

Set on the expansive grounds of a former countryside schoolhouse, the chalet is roomy, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and kitted out with all possible mod-cons. The setting is perfect for nature lovers and is quiet and ever so cosy. Lillie is a wonderful hostess, welcoming guests with her genuine warmth and approachability, and always attentive to every possible need. All of the treats in the kitchen and fridge were delightful. I cannot recommend this place enough!

the environment in nature, the kindness of the hostesses with an exceptional treatment, everything was ready in the house.

It is so ideal that it makes you want to spend a month there, jajajaja The only thing is the operation of the toilet water system so that it falls when you hit it. It would also be advisable to put some protective material on the kitchen wood so that it does not get damaged along with the stove.

The lady of the house was so helpful I travelled with my mam who is in wheelchair and she couldn't have done more to make her stay comfortable.
