What a gem, a diamond of a hotel, with a brilliant restaurant below. Tiny rooms, but that just added to the character really, and thoroughly enjoyed the 1 night stay
Maybe the bed on the mezzanine floor of the room, giving more sitting room below, but that wasnt crucial
La déco Le style de la chambre La restaurant du pub sur place
La chambre qu'on avait était un peu petite
Location
Shower was ridiculously small and the room had a damp smell, no parking (but found off road parking round corner) - don’t pay for parking in the car park! shame the pub was closed whilst we were there, had to find somewhere for breakfast. Communication wasn’t great, were told by the cleaner (as she saw us struggling to get checked in) We were supposed to have received a welcome email. But never got anything. No personal touch. Room was clean and bed was fairly comfy.
Beautiful place, well presented room ,all your needs in a cute small space , would definitely like to come back
No on site parking was a surprise,a close carpark for £10 wasn't what I expected, did have parking on the road luckily so not really a problem as long as there's a gap
Facilities looked new and modern and cosy. Staff were excellent and knowledgeable, and check in went very smoothly.
Shower was a bit cramped due to the control box on the wall. Being a 6ft 1 wide shouldered male, it was a bit of a snug fit, but the hot water and pressure were excellent.
Lovely rooms liked that there was complimentary tea and coffee easy to check in, conveniently located near the water fall trail.
Shower and bathroom was very small but perfect just for one night stay.
Cosy
Shower was quite small
Das Zimmer war klein und schnuckelig, alles sauber und schick gemacht.
Friendly, really great food, nice relaxed place.
The room was very small. Not really a problem for a short stay, but the ensuite bathroom was barely usable, especially the shower.
The staff and they location
The shower size, we barely fit
el sitio para poder hacer excursion
la cama es horrible cada vez que te giras hace ruido y el baño es ridículo
The accommodation is great if you like walks/hikes and the Welsh countryside. It is close to many waterfall trails. The bar below had a good food menu and a nice outdoor seating area. The bed was very comfortable and easy access/check-in.
We felt the accommodation was perhaps not prioritised; i.e., it stated you could have your towels and room done up daily, after being out all day this wasn't done and I had to ask staff at 6pm for fresh towels, yet our dirty ones were still left in our en-suite. The bathroom shower drain was potentially blocked up and our ensuite smelt the whole time during our stay. There was no allocated parking for the accommodation (can't necessarily be helped) but we had to park our car further down the road and therefore our car was not in sight from the accommodation/bar.
Location, very friendly staff lovely outside area.
Only negative room small and very small shower unit.
The scenery and walks were amazing. The food, service and staff were excellent.
Even tho it's dog friendly there was no outside area to the room for her to go out. After being out all day she was stuck in just 1 room. The shower was too small for my partner and some attention to detail was missed i.e broken bedside light, shelf that came apart and the fan did not work. Which was not good as the room was very warm.
Very clean, easy to access staff were really lovely. We had breakfast and it was excellent. Woukd thoroughly recommend
Gorgeous place, beautiful location and perfect for what we wanted! Staff were super welcoming and friendly too! Food in the bistro is also fantastic!! Feel like we’ve stumbled across a hidden gem and will be back!
Nothing - everything was great!
Comfortable bed.
Tiny room but just about doable, staff friendly but not very accommodating.
The room was clean comfortable had a fan for the hot weather. The staff were very good and friendly. My room had accidently been given to someone else but kept well fed and watered while it was sorted out. Fortunately I hadn't arrived later in the evening.
The shower was quite small if you had been a large person you would not have fit. Breakfast I ordered waffles with bacon sausage and scrambled eggs. It came with a piece of paper on the plate under the food so had to avoid eating that. The scrambled eggs were full of back pepper and not made from fresh eggs they were not edible
Really lovely room in a really lovely setting. The staff were friendly. The only slight issue was the room being very warm but this is understandable given the record breaking heat wave this year! The restaurant was excellent, great atmosphere and delicious food.
The sink was very tiny, it was sufficient but difficult if you wanted to wash your face.
Just what we needed.
In date.

Room cramped and very warm
Easy to find.
Traffic was hectic due to roadworks.
Really good value for money. The staff went above and beyond to correct a mistake that was made and we're happy to help out with storing our bikes safely. The food was delicious.
The rooms were small and the mattress was quite firm and not to be helped but there was road works which started at 6:30 in the morning.
Sehr gut , super freundliches Personal mit viel Herzlichkeit und Zeit.Wir sind sehr glücklich dieses Quartier gefunden zu haben.
Nichts
The hosts were fantastic! They made sure we had everything we needed and the complimentary gin and tonic and Welsh cakes added a lovely touch. We would definitely book again and will be recommending to friends and family 😁
Very clean and friendly staff
The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent with great food.
The size of the room was smaller than anticipated and the shower was somewhat small for large shoulders
Everyone very kind and respectful and property was clean and tidy
We didn't actually stay in the accommodation we had booked because before arriving we realised we had accidentally booked and had already paid for the wrong room. We explained the situation to the staff and while they could not provide us with another room on site, they were able to put us into another property that they owned and offset what we had already paid against this. The alternative accommodation was more expensive but fantastic for our needs and we absolutely loved it. The staff were considerate, understanding, and helpful. Hence our positive scoring.

Small room but very nice , excellent breakfast . Thank you
Clean . Breakfast
nice location, restaurant and pub very good, people/community very welcoming.
room is very cramped only suitable for one night stays. Ongoing building works around the property very disruptive and no associated parking. No interaction with property or updates. This should be heavily discounted/not on the market whilst building works ongoing.
Comfortable, clean, bedroom spacious, great location and bistro.
Shower room a bit small, but we managed fine.
Location and staff were excellent.
Shower was extremely small.
Location superb, very cute rooms, dinner and breakfast was good, staff were very hospitable! :) Already planning our return visit!
Can’t fault it.
Love this location, so convenient for the waterfall walks, and it was a relief to not need to travel home after a long day out. The room was very clean and cosy.
The internet signal was not always great, and the size of the shower enclosure was 'tight'.
Location
Hairdryer was broken, toilet brush and sink outlet could do with a good clean
Really nice, clean, modern and well looked after. For a small room, the space is utilised well with plenty of hanging space for clothes and lockable boot storage too.
Nothing i didn’t like
Location was good for Waterfall walks and other trips locally we had planned. Restaurant and food was very good value
Room was comfortable but a bit small. Good job we are both slim as shower cubicle very very small.
Lovely setting, attractive design, great breakfast options and helpful staff
Room was quite small for 2 people
I love the location, the staff were amazing and the food downstairs is fantastic. Having another Pub just over the road and the waterfalls on a path just behind that is just perfect.
If I was to be really fussy, the bathroom sink could be a bit bigger, but that is me really clutching at straws!!
Fabulous location for visiting the waterfalls. Food was gorgeous. Room small but perfect for a couple of nights and beautifully presented. Would definitely recommend and visit again
Nothing
Young man who checked us in was very polite and helpful. Location perfect, especially if you like walks, as we do. Very informative leading up to stay, keeping us updated. Room was clean.
Unfortunately, when we entered the building to our room, there was a unpleasant smell, which continued into our room. We were unable to open windows as it was pouring with rain. One of the bed side tables was unsteady as the screws had come out from the wall on one side. The shower is incredibly small. I wouldn't recommend this accommodation if you are of a big build, as we are.
We chose this accommodation as it was in the perfect location for an extended version of the Four Waterfalls Walk. We had one of the compact rooms, which is suitably named, but was absolutely fine for a night: comfy, clean and with a kettle and Wi-Fi. We ate our evening meal in the restaurant where the staff were friendly and efficient and there was a good choice of food and drinks. Breakfast wasn't included, and the restaurant didn't start serving till 9.00 am which was too late for us, so we skipped it. There is a lot of building work going on at the hotel (looks like new accommodation blocks and perhaps a visitor centre) so parking is on the road at present. Beware that it gets very busy on weekends and during holiday periods.
It was all fine and more than adequate for one night.
Excellent location. Clean room, with nice decor.
Very noisy building works were not mentioned during the booking process, nor post booking communication. A very, very uncomfortable mattress with a very, very noisy bed frame. Although we stayed in the larger room, the bathroom was so small that it was difficult to function - The tiny sink was difficult to even do the basics in (clean teeth, wash face) and filled up exceptionally quickly. The shower cubicle was too small even for a small - average sized person, and the electric shower temperature was inconsistent when running. The breakfast (not included in the room price, but available in the restaurant of the lodge) was disappointing - cheap produce, over cooked and skimped on servings.
The staff was friendly. The village is very nice, close to several trails.
The beds were loud at every little turn or move
It was clean and very easy access in and out lovely building
The room was smaller than we thought and the shower was far too small which was a shame but next time we will definitely book a larger room I think the room is fine for one night stay
The decor was nice, good use of minimal space.
Walls paper thin (v early risers next door to us), low quality bed linen, shower really tiny, no parking onsite - not a big issue but wasn’t mentioned and arriving at night meant it was hard to realise and work out where to park.
Very close to waterfall walks. Showers great. Room very clean- loved the boot lockers. Downstairs restaurant had lovely food and cold beers
Location
The size of the rooms are tiny, the walls are thin and you can hear your next door neighbours, the shower is so small you cant turn around. Bathroom is dirty. You book a dog friendly room through booking.com and are then charged an extra £25 for taking your dog. Not good value. Would not stay here again.
Lovely laid out rooms with lots of light.
Modern and clean Good location to visit the waterfalls
It was very small. The ensuite had no where to put a toilet bag and was minute. We were there on a Sunday and they stopped serving food at 5pm.
Clean well kept and well run
Rooms very small
Stylish appartment, tiny but complete. Nice café. Perfect starting point for the waterfalls
Restaurant only opened on wednesdays and thursdays for dinner (breakfast/coffee all days)
Everything about this hotel is lovely! The location, the decor, the bistro below. We had a lovely time!
Lokalizacja jest niesamowita. Przemiły personel. Czysto. Czajnik, kawa i herbata. Stylowo urządzone. Duże i wygodne łóżko.
Bardzo mały pokój i bardzo mała łazienka. Rzeczy pozostawione na wierzchu były wilgotne. Brak szafy.
Location
Our experience was a nightmare, below one star. Rooms little but comfy bed and clean. The best thing about this place is its location near the waterfall. We planned an Easter break there, visiting Zip World and walks in nature, and enjoying a good atmosphere. After an intense day, long travel, and walks, we were looking to lie down. Our next-door neighbor was extremely loud, slamming the door, blasting music, and shouting on speakerphone during a call (there was information on the wall that quiet hours should be from 7 p.m.) My husband asked him to be quiet as he was still loud at 10 p.m. He shouted, "F*** you, man." We gave the management a ring after hours. They called us back sometime later, saying, "he sound calm on the phone." We felt frustrated and unsafe as the person kept being antisocial. I didn't want confrontation, so we packed our bags and decided to leave the place at midnight, having a 4-hour journey ahead. The management was supposed to do an investigation the next morning. Unfortunately, we didn't hear any follow-up. Paid £118, and we only took a shower. Place to avoid!
Clean, nice, excellent location. Staff were magnificent. Very friendly, always smiling and happy to help with anything.
Bathroom a little small but that's the only issue but the positives outward that by alot.
Fantastic stay in a wonderful area. The room was beautiful and the staff downstairs in the attached restaurant were fantastic. All in all I couldn't have had a better stay!
Great location
Very noisy guests in one of the neighbouring rooms and very unsociable.
The location is gorgeous and we had previously had lunch on another occasion in the restaurant which was really lovely! And, once we had complained about the room and explained we couldn’t even stay, they did give us a full refund.
The room was so small, you could barely get dressed unless you stood next to the door. The towels in the room were clean, but stained, thin and only slightly larger than hand towels. The main issue was the bathroom- the shower was so small, it was a struggle to wash your hair properly. You can’t bend down without touching the glass and the wall. Not sure a man with broad shoulders would even be able to close the shower doors! There was also no way of adjusting the heating, so we were chilly. Plus the bed was very uncomfortable and squeaky. We left the room after our dinner across the road as it was too uncomfortable to stay in overnight.
Great property and location for waterfall walks and hiking. Restaurant downstairs popular and serves great food for supper and breakfast . Great just to be able to go upstairs when finished your meal / drinks after a day out .
Rooms are quite small but for one or two nights this isn’t a problem.
Clean, tidy, comfortable, convenient location to the waterfalls and to the pub, excellent service and food
The shower was very small but wasn’t a huge issue for us
We loved the location. It was very convenient to be able to walk to the waterfalls from our accommodation. We used public transport, so this is important for us. We loved the food available in the cafe downstairs. Although I am not vegan or gf, I thought it good that these are catered for
It was impossible to get the kettle under the tap to fill it. We used a cup to do this. Room was rather small, but cosy.
Friendly staff, clean, nice decor
The size of the shower cubicle, tiny, can’t move around at all, quite claustrophobic. The kitchen should opens late for breakfast. It should open at 8:30am to allow travellers to eat before their walk.
Thank you for the upgrade after a booking error on my behalf. Staff attentive and easy to deal with - i ended up staying in the cottage which was lovely and in a beautiful spot. Really appreciated.
Nothing, cottage was excellent
Beautiful place and so clean
Nothing
Everything apart from the below.
Everything apart from the price of the room £105, and the fact that the shower was inaccessible for anyone over 5.5. I'm 6 feet 4 and my partner is 5 feet 8 and we were unable to fit in the shower individually. There was no ironing board and although this is a lodge used for caving, walking etc, it is still booking in people who have travelled from afar. The shower part was disappointing as the soap tray kept catching my throat and you were forced to stand rigid whilst showering. The family members in the other rooms expressed the same issue. The rooms are small, and there was no breakfast included in the room price of £105
I loved that the lodge was central to the things we wanted to do. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was great, helpful and accommodating. We were there to do the Four Waterfalls Walk which is located in the perfect location from the lodge. The food in the restaurant was great too.
We didn't like all the roadworks right outside the accommodation and lack of designated parking spaces. Road parking only. Which was harder to find as it was a particularly busy time of day.
Staff excellent, very clean, breakfast was wonderful
The room was very small, the shower even smaller
Location, decor and the restaurant was great. Staff were amazing really helpful and made us packed lunches for our hike. Which were amazing.
Only the room size, I did know it was be cozy but considering we had massive coats and layers just really hard to navigate around the room, no where to put anything. Also the shower was the width of an average human body, so very tricky to shower in.
Location and friendly welcoming staff.
Room bit small and heating not great
Room decoration good Location
Bed uncomfortable, basin in bathroom so small unable to fill kettle. We booked and confirmation email confirmed we could get all meals for extra payment. It did not say it’s closed Monday and Tuesday when we were there. We could not find anywhere to have breakfast
Very clean & tidy place, easy check in option. Rooms well equipped.
Great location for the Waterfalls and Penderyn distillery
Bathroom was a bit on the small side, but the room was nice and comfortable and would stay again.
Location was superb. I was attending an event near-by & this location was ideal; far enough away to allow me to disconnect from the event but near enough that I didn’t have to travel for miles. Breakfast was really good & the staff were super friendly .. A great stay … only marred by one this (see below)
The only poor thing that happened during my stay is that the neighbouring room’s (the room at the end of the corridor) occupants were more than inconsiderate when getting back to their room at 0015 & making a serious amount of noise, flicking light switches repeatedly & raucously laughing at the shower(???). this went on for approx 90 minutes. My dog, who never barks, was so disturbed by the racket from next door that he barked for quite a while … Shame really as everythin else was great …
Hearinf
Very clean and perfery Staff very attentive and lovely. Foid so lush.
Nothing
Really cosy, great location and the bed was extremely comfortable.
Water in the sink didn’t warm up unfortunately and the shower was a little temperamental.
Very clean very friendly
Shower was a bit small
