We had a bad experience at checkout. Who on earth carries cash these days? We requested a late checkout because of our flight, which cost an extra R200. However, they never provided the bank account number for the payment. When our transport finally arrived, they locked us in and treated us like thieves, apparently convinced we would run off without paying their R200🤔 at the same time the owner is not responding with the banking details. I was so pissed,

The property is well managed and clean.

Too much rules that doesn’t allow you to stay freely. You have to call all the time whenever you step out of the door .

Tanaka was Fantastic, she was so accomodating and friendly! The place was great

Anyone who has been or lives in Gauteng knows that winter here is mad cold. My favourite feature was the fireplace, apart from the fact that it gave me that romantic feel all by myself, it kept the room super warm without drying the air like space heaters. I fell in love with making the fire early in the morning before starting my work.

Granted, safety is paramount; they should look into the issue of arming too early.

Rooms were clean, the host was very friendly and the facility is very secure.

Would have been nice to see the beautiful views that was shown or even the garden,.

The ac wasn't working, before I've arrived I was give the night duty staffs number to contact, contacted him about the ac he said he don't know contact his boss. I've contacted the host but there wasn't an answer to his phone. I then msged him on WhatsApp to tell him the ac isn't working, he reads the msg but doesn't respond. Nor did I get any response to date.

That the host changed our room when the electric blanket malfunctioned. Tanaka was responsive and helpful, place was neat and surroundings quiet

That there was no heater in the coldest day in Jhb. And the rooms are tiled and very cold

The property is beautiful. The apartments was clean and spacious.

They should clearly indicate or show their facilities. We had opted for the place because it stated to have what we were looking for like the barbecue , only to find that it wasn’t so good. We had a number of things missing that we had to ask for. The balcony door wasn’t working and had to go around the building to collect wood. Was disappointed to have paid for things we couldn’t get to use. The light curtains …

The air conditioner isn't available and the heater isn't working, otherwise everything is great, the treatment from the staff was awesome.

There was no hot water at all, plugs in the kitchen stopped working on the second night of our 4 night stay and owner did not provide us with an alternative nor did she provide an update throughout... Owner also didn't respond to our texts or calls when we requested for updates on the plugs not working and the showers not having any hot water

Ohhh My Goodness, the location of the place is like a hidden gem. The information provided on the booking.com website about the facilities and pictures are correct and very accurate. The room was clean and looked exactly like what the pictures showed. The place is so peaceful and quiet, a great option for a weekend getaway, business purposes or for someone who just wants to relax and unwind. A huge shout out to the host Tanaka, she was so kind. When I got there she helped me with my luggage, showed me my room and explained about the facilities in the room. She was always available whenever we needed something. Will definitely visit the place again, and will recommend it to my friends. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The actual room was cold.

in general it is a lovely big property, which needs a bit more taking care off (mold in the apartments bathroom wall and ceiling). we stayed for 6 nights (business trip) had no hot water for the first 2 days, as the property owner only turns on the geyser for a certain amount of hours/day (in the morning and 2 hours late afternoon). if other guests use the hot water, you are left with a cold shower. After complaining for 2 days, we had to tell the owner, what time we are back from work, for her to switch on the geyser - very strange for a guesthouse. ignore the photo of the washing machine and dishwasher - they are out of order, but we did not need them anyway. not really equipped for cooking (for example only one fork and one bowel for 2 guests and left over open bread and crisps from previous guests in cupboard) staff was very friendly. review is obviously based on 2 days cold water, which left a bitter taste.

There was no remote for the gate and the helpers had to open each time one goes out and one morning the gate had an issue and could not open

The TV has nothing on(Netflix etc)..how it's situated and it's small you need to be on a sofa to watch it n u must get closer to it

1. We could not find any information sign to te us were we are. We went up and down in Anne Street. 2 When I phone the lady was very rude and blapheme. She got upset when I asked her to sent a pin. I could not hear a word what she says. I really think that a receptionist must taught that you don't say "whaaat" to customer over a phone, and she must be able to speak English and not brabble on a phone. 3. The room Smelled of smoke 4. Nobody informed us to bring our on dstv detail with. She was very unhelpful about the TV. 5. There is no parking available. Thanks but no thanks I will never ever go back.

Its not the 1st time visiting this place i like that its quite.

Shu i was very dissapointed .We spend 30 Minutes at the gate hooting with no one to attend us , Then the one bedroom apartment that i have booked has now changed to a Bacholer and they dont tell us its like false advertising. The TV was brought when we in the room ,nout mounted properly no remote so we couldnt even use it . The 1st time when we bathed with cold water cause there wasnt hot water till next day. For someone who went there the 3rd time i didnt like this at all. 🥹😔😔😔😔

The room was very spacious and close to where I needed to go the next day.

As constructive criticism, There was no kettle for a cuppa in the morning. There were a few light bulbs not working. The bedside lamp was broken. The room was quite warm with no fan available.

The bed was clean and comfortable.

The toilet seat was broken, the kettle was dirty, I had to clean it before use. The fan was broken.

The location was good, quiet and clean

No breakfast was served, but I liked the fact that the room that we booked had everything that we needed like plates, pots, cutlery microwave and kettle was working very well

Rooms are specious.

Before they let you out, they check if you didn't steal anything and the road to get there is bad.

Shower Head leaking. No toilet paper for the second day stays, we had to buy our own.

The TV was angled differently. Couldn't watch the tv from the bed.

The location, the unit, braai place, the swimming pool, and it has a space to chill out and the co host were friendly and very welcoming. I forgot my charger the host was cooperative to help me to retrieve it and I got it back, but she is not that friendly to chat with.

Wifi is not good the speed is very poor there , I struggled a lot to watch the tv, work and using it on my devices , I suggest you have your own mobile data if you need WiFi/ internet to work or watch your favourite shows and stuff

The tv couldn't connect to the wifi and there are not enough sockets for additional appliances.

Easy and Smooth

The area was very easy to locate. The cleanliness was of high standard. Warm welcome by Shumba. Rest of staff members including garden staff very so friendly and helpful. The calmness me and my partner experienced was wonderful. We are definitely going back on the 14th of February. This time we are going to book The Manor!

The cleanliness of the place

We just had cold water the first day buy it was sorted.

It was a self-catering stay, and the location was very easy to find. The Uber deliveries ran smoothly. That location was the best we were looking for, very calm surroundings, beautiful and clean environment, from the house to the yard and the pool area, we are definitely going back soon.

Nothing, everything was exceptional, the host, Yvette, was the best, very friendly, welcoming, with a lot of smiles throughout our stay. We had water throughout, and Wi-Fi was super good, clean sheets, clean towels, and the kitchen was spotless. The whole house is beautiful.

The rooms were clean as always.

They don't seem to be doing maintenance anymore or checking and fixing. The blinds in the first room fell of as I was opening the window. The toilet water pressure in the second room (we were moved to another room following the blind incident) was very low. Had to flush three times. The lady in charge was not really willing to accept fault reports, seems she took it as an affront. She practically blamed us for the loose blind and told us we would be charged for it to be fixed. It was my 4th time this year using the place but now I'm not sure if I will use it again.
