Location was pretty good as it is very near to the beach

The space was very less, very congested.

The facility offers a homely atmosphere. The breakfast was simple. Clean and tidy environment.

The facility can consider to offer lunch and dinner, since there are no hotels nearby.

Excellent staff and very neat and clean. Owner of property is very nice person. Its a safe and happy location. Very good stay for family as wl as all type of travelers. Food and breakfast excellent. Sabhana madam is very nice madam guided us properly about the place and advised us properly.

Excellent facilities

Great location with good value for money. Runs are well done and quite comfortable. Walkable distance to payambalam beach. Breakfast was nice and simple.

Care taker was not very hospitable. He was in his own world. Need some space to dry the clothes since it is close to the beach.

Choice Beach House is in a great location near to Kannur's main beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the resident cook serves delicious breakfasts. We had some problems with the AC and wifi in our room and the hotel owner very quickly got things fixed. We would recommend it as a very pleasant and calm place to stay.

24hrs Hot Water. Near to Beach.

Service Charge of 500 .I travel a lot but this is the first time I am experiencing this. Services very Bad. Intercom not working. TV just for name sake.Not even a single channel was Subscribed. Night no experience staff. The way it was advertised,I thought it as hotel.but it is a Home Stay. Transportation problem no transport from home stay to city.

Die Lage. Man war in 3 Minuten am Meer und in 10 Minuten ist man in die Innenstadt gelaufen.

Vor allem das Personal. Als wir ankamen, wusste niemand was von der Buchung und es wurde wild herumtelefoniert. Das Frühstück war okay, aber es gab nur einen Tisch für alle Gäste und man hat sich gefühlt wie im Schichtdienst: Nach 15 Minuten sitzen wurde man gebeten, wegzugehen für andere Gäste. Dann der Clue am Abreisetag: Uns wurde eine komplett falsche Rechnung gegeben (mit Extra-Gast z.B.), die teurer war als unsere. Der Fehler wurde eingesehen, aber bei der richtigen Rechnung habe ich vergessen die Steuern dazuzurechnen (habe es dann natürlich auch eingesehen). Die Gastgeberin (sehr frech und unverschämt) hat mich dann süffisant gefragt, ob ich denn wüsste was Steuern wären!!!! Das geht gar nicht, gerade, nachdem sie selbst eine falsche Rechnung gemacht haben. Das Zimmer war leider nicht sehr sauber. Und die Gastgeberin einfach ein No-Go. Sie hat einem anderen Gast (eine Einheimische, vermuten wir) mehr zum Frühstück angeboten und uns überhaupt nicht. Und sie hat uns vorgeschrieben, wo wir auf der Terrasse sitzen sollen (obwohl alle Stühle frei waren). Es ist schade, weil die Unterkunft für den Preis ok ist, aber der Umgang mit uns war unter aller Kritik.

The location is near Payyambalam beach. It was convenient to walk to this beach. However, three-whealer vehicles were not available for over 1 hour for returning to the Home Stay.

The TV was not operational and wi-fi broke down.

This is our 5th travel to India and Choice beach house is the cleanest place we have ever been to. .Room and bathroom were spotless. Raju who welcomed us was a bit shy but very friendly and helpful. Shobna's local breakfast was very tasty! She's a good cook and it was nice talking to her. The owner Ibrahim came over to welcome us on our first morning and was also very nice to talk to. We recommend this homestay.

Wifi wasn't working.. We had our itinerary to check out and also had to book tickets online so we went to a café with wifi. The room was a bit small for us as we both do yoga but if you don't need extra space the room is perfect.

Good location, near to beach (but beach is not swimmable or to relax on). Clean and tidy rooms.

Choice Beach House is a family-run guesthouse located just a few hundred meters from Kannur's main beach. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable and the Wi-Fi is good. An Indian breakfast is served every morning. I enjoyed my stay at Choice Beach House and do recommend it for a short stay.

Nice place and 5 minutes walking distance to the beach. The breakfast made fresh was also great. The room and bathroom were clean and the property matched the photos. We were also able to leave our luggage for a bit after check out, and we also borrowed cutlery and plates for our dinner.

Peaceful location , close to beautiful beach, Apana was very helpful and friendly , would come again.

Staying at The Choice Beach House was the best 'choice' I made for my Kannur trip! ! Mr Ibrahim, the owner, was helpful all the way from arranging my rather late check-in to guiding my driver from the airport to the homestay as well as personally meeting me to make sure everything was in order. The room was well proportioned for a solo traveller and had all the amenities such as adequate storage space, hot water, air-conditioning and clean bed linen. Ms Shabana and young Rahul are the epitome of hospitality, going out of their way to make me feel at home and attentively catering to my zero-spice diet. The homestay is in a quiet street literally a stone's throw from the beach and within easy walking distance (for me at least) to the Light House and other nearby tourist attractions. I highly recommend this homestay!

A lovely property. We had 2 rooms upstairs. Both with enquire bathrooms. Not big rooms and 1 was probably slightly better than the other. Team onsite were amazing!!!

Lovely place close to the beach. Breakfast included which was lovely. Also ordered evening meal which was delicious. Lovely beach in the morning but very busy later in the day and unfortunately lots of rubbish despite bins right at the entrance.

It is beautiful, super clean and comfortable! Breakfast is very good and the property is just two steps from the beach. Also, Shabna is very kind and made my stay wonderful! I think that’s the best property around for having a nice rest and chill for a couple of day!

Overall, the location and homely atmosphere were created by the owner and staff. I ended up staying two weeks during monsoon season, which made it difficult to get out and about. Staff are more than happy to organise meals and transport when required. Good internet speed and smart TV provided ample entertainment—plentiful hot water and pressure in the bathroom.

Once again, nothing stood out that needed to be rectified in any substantial way.

Homely feel and polite staff. Mr Ibrahim the owner was very particular of coming in person to know our opinion about Choice. I really enjoyed the stay.

It’s like a home away from home and as name suggest it’s the best choice for everyone who is planning to visit Kannur.

Choice Beach House is a place where comfort meets real hospitality. Rooms are clean, well furnished with super comfy beds, but the most important you are welcomed with smile and attention. The openhearted owner is ready to help you with eveything you need. I asked if he could help me to see a theyyam performance, I got it the next day. I asked for transport to railway station in the morning, and the driver awaited me in front of the guest before time. This is also a place where a delicious Kerala style breakfast is cooked with heart for you every morning by a wonderful lady. This place was far more than I expected and I can only recomend it to everyone.

Because of the location of the beach it was a 10 minute walk but on a very busy street and through an intersection that could be difficult. No restaurants near by without walking to beach. Nearest convenience store was 10 minutes walk back towards town. About a 15-20 minute tuk tuk ride from train station and center of town

This guesthouse is nothing short of fabulous. In the best part of Kannur (close to everything but in a quiet area next to a beautiful beach), it's clean, modern and comfortable. But the best part are the staff - the lovely lady who cooked our breakfast and the owner who went above and beyond to help up us with everything we needed. He also own the lovely Choice restaurant in the town centre where we had a great lunch. Our only wish was to stay longer. Thank you!!

Ibrahim, the owner was so helpful and charming. The room is very clean and comfortable with excellent cooling, we slept very well there.The Kerala breakfast was very very good,and we also had a very good fish dinner in the Choice restaurant in Kannur. It was great value.

The room was very comfortable. The WiFi was good and the a/c worked perfectly. There was a relaxed homely atmosphere with the staff making sure you were well looked after. Shubnah, the housekeeper, was especially lovely, always cheery. Her homemade food for breakfast was delicious.

I can't find fault with anything about the property. I wouldn't say Kannur makes a great location for a long stay though.

Close to the beach. Very nice staff in kitchen, and very good cook lady. Young helper, smiling any time and very present and.... helping! Owner very helping too and facilitating in all subjects.

I came in the evening tired after a long day on the train and Ibrahim was there to welcome me and he made sure I had coffee and a delicious dinner. He also arranged for me to have a ayurvedic massage the next day, and it was just what I needed. Sabynas morning dosas and chutney I could eat every day for the rest of my life. They both care for you and makes this place feel like home. Rooms are beautiful, showers from heaven and people just warm and amazing. Thank you.

Excellent location; easy to get to the beach, town, or train station. The food ordered from the property is of high quality and great value. All staff and owners are prepared to go above and beyond in catering to guests needs. The bed was comfortable, and the A/C or fan kept room temperature at a comfortable level. Smart TV-enabled easy connection to viewable entertainment; excellent wifi speed; LAN connection available. The owner was a great source of information and was adept at organising special requests, for example, dental care, which was of high quality. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Overall, I did not see anything that required drastic improvement during my stay.

The location was perfect. A short stroll to the beach. And on a quiet road in quiet neighborhood. The home cooked breakfast was delicious and nutritious. The entire staff was lovely— helpful and considerate. Excellent!!!

Everything was wonderful

The staff was extremely helpful and kind. Breakfast in the morning was super good. The location was perfect if you're looking to spend time on the beach, and it's only a short rickshaw ride away from the main part of town. The room was clean and perfect for the 4 nights that we were there. For the price, I'd have a hard time believing that there would be something better to be found in the area, and I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a place in Kannur

The only small issue that we had was that the AC randomly stopped working for a few hours one day. It ended up working again on it's own so it really wasn't a big deal.

We liked the property very much because of its proximity to the payambalam beach, awesome food, great staff behaviour and cleanliness

Great stay at this modern guesthouse in a large, comfortable, and spotlessly clean ensuite room. The room also had a fan and good aircon, which was great due to the heat and humidity. Staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble. Special mention to Sabana for her kindness and wonderful breakfasts! The house is well located about 5 minutes walk from the beach and about 15 minutes to the town. There are some nice cafés and restaurants nearby but you can also order delicious food to be delivered from the restaurant owned by the guesthouse. From beginning to end you are treated like an honoured guest, not just another tourist. Highly recommended.

WiFi was a bit up and down and the power cut out a couple of times during our stay but this was probably due to the street being recabled at the time so likely not an ongoing issue.
