The room was clean and spacious with everything you need. The views are beautiful.

The male owner left shortly after I checked in and didn't return until the next day before I checked out. During that time the dogs were the most aggressive I've encountered at any lodging, 40 countries later. This place is far from everywhere so if you don't have a moped, expect to get stranded! I spent over half an hour trying to get a Tuk tuk from the hostel to the beach, but neither Grab nor PassApp had any available drivers. During that time the dogs were barking and bearing their teeth at my feet and I asked the lady owner to kindly remove the dogs. Eventually, she offered to take me there for "just the price of gas money" so I was surprised when she said 8,000 Riel when we arrived for a 5 km journey there (and back for her). I didn't have smaller notes so asked to pay 5,000 and she said that was okay as "you're my customer". I tried to get back at 6.30 PM but again no tuk tuk available on the apps and none around. Eventually someone called their friend to help me out. I told the owners I'd be checking out at midday but at 11.50 AM the man came knocking on my door while I was on the toilet. When he entered the room he said "didn't you agree to pay my wife 8,000 for the ride"? I said no, she said she'd just charge gas money and agreed to 5,000. I felt very uncomfortable as a senior European lady, travelling alone, so I look photos of how I left the room, so he couldn't later lie about me not keeping the room clean and tidy. When I left, the owners disappeared inside and didn't wish me well, so I'd never go back.

Quiet, clean guesthouse, ownership family is really kind

The rooms are clean enough and relatively new.

It's a homestay, which we weren't aware of during booking, so you have the family and pets present 24/7. The service and communication style is less professional than what you would expect from any hotel. The location also requires a scooter to get to the markets and great eateries, as there is basically nothing around in walking distance.

The rooms are really clean and spacious, some with fans others with air conditioner.The hosts are great and will do anything to help.A really lovely stay.

If you have no transport the guest house is 4km from the beach and I found that some Tuk Tuk drivers were reluctant to take you back to the accomodation.However the host is more than happy to let you ride round on his moped or his taxi if you prefer.However this is not a free service.There are some restaurants nearby.

The host was very helpful, gave me lots of good suggestions and made sure my room was ok He helped me with a motorbike rental and provided a ride back to the border after I checked out

Mit dem Fahrrad war ich flexibel und war die Lage für mich super........herrlich zum Fahrradfahren. Ich bin auch gerne morgens und abends auf der großen Terrasse zum Kaffee oder Bierchen relaxt gesessen. Das Besitzerpaar war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit ( nur die Hunde haben mich nicht geliebt)........macht aber nichts, ich habe zurück gebellt.😉

Dass es manchmal besondere Gäste gibt,da kann der Besitzer nichts dafür.

Die große Terrasse war sehr schön um Kaffee zu trinken, Abends bei einer Zigarette und einem Bierchen ein bisschen zu plauschen. Der Besitzer und seine Frau sind sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Ich bin zum zweiten Mal hier und werde sicherlich wieder kommen. Es ist zwar vom Krabbenmarkt etwas entfernt, aber gerade die Abgeschiedenheit um auch bei den Einheimischen zu sein gefällt mir sehr gut.

So ein lieber Gastgeber, der alles dafür tut den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm zu machen! Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Man kann zu gutem Preis ein Bike ausleihen.

Comfortable bed, big room with a great host

Basic, yet comfy and very clean room, we stayed in the air-con option. The owner is helpful and attentive, and also organised our onward journey to Phu Quoc for us at short notice. Location is outside the main area, it's a bit of a trek to restaurant/shop but he has scooters for rent, offers to order things in for you, and Grab isn't a problem. Value for money.

The new hotel in Kep offers fresh and cozy rooms in a good location near the city center. The owner is friendly and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. The rooms are definitely worth the money, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

Everything’s perfect. The Host is a really nice person who always tried to make me feel comfortable!

Be aware that there is nothing much to see around, the beach is one hour by foot. But they do provide a bike for you to use for free which is really nice!

El Ling is a budget yet quite a cozy place to stay at, it is a little bit away from the main touristy places but it can be a benefit depending on what you are looking for ( I did like it very much). If you get a scooter it is actually perfectly located for any type of excursions. Yet the biggest highlight of this place is the Host, he will go extra 10 miles to make you happy. You can arrange transportation and the 'typical' travel/rent stuff at the hotel.

It is a very nice and clean room. Good air condition and fan. Nice decoration, too. We stayed one night travelling from Vietnamese border. Friendly and helpful host. He and his wife speak English. We enjoyed our stay.
