Roshan and his wife made us feel like part of their family rather than guests. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, welcoming, and truly memorable. They thoughtfully arranged everything according to our requests and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. This was my second visit, and once again, I had a wonderful experience. Their genuine hospitality, kindness, attention to detail, and warm nature made us feel completely at home. It is rare to come across such gracious and caring hosts, and I truly appreciate everything they did for us. This is definitely a memorable stay that I will never forget. I am already planning to return in December for Christmas, as I cannot think of a better place to spend the holiday. I highly recommend staying with Roshan and his wife to anyone looking for a comfortable, peaceful, and welcoming place with exceptional hospitality. I will certainly be recommending their place to my friends and family as well. Thank you both for making our stay so special we look forward to seeing you again soon!

La familia muy atenta a todo lo que necesitamos. La ubicación aunque estaba en la montaña las vistas miy buenas pero mejor si dispones de tuk-tuk. 🙂

Roshan et sa femme ont une charmante maison et accueillent avec soin et attention leurs invités. La chambre était propre et confortable avec tout l'équipement nécessaire. Le petit déjeuner proposé le matin était excellent. Merci pour l'accueil, tout était parfait !

La casa tenia humedad en general, habia estado lloviendo los 15 dias antes según nos dijeron y no era muy normal tantos dias seguidos. Hacia frío y nos dejaron una manta mas que fue suficiente pero no hay calefacción

De mensen van het guest house waren echt heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk! Ze hebben alles voor ons geregeld, ons dagtripjes aangeboden, ons naar het busstation gebracht en zelfs onze was gedaan. Het is zeker aan te raden! De locatie is fijn, net buiten de stad maar met een paar minuten lopen ben je zo in het centrum. Je hebt erg mooi uitzicht over de bergen.

We had a lovely stay in Nuwara Eliya. The guesthouse was beautiful, cozy, and very well equipped. The owners were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always willing to help. They kindly provided us with a hairdryer when we asked, and the room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Fresh towels were provided, and we really appreciated the extra blanket they brought us, as the weather in Nuwara Eliya was quite cold. Overall, we felt very well taken care of and would happily recommend this place.

There was a temporary issue with the Wi-Fi due to a network problem, but the hosts apologized and did their best to resolve it. Also, the room could get quite cold at night, as there was no heating, although extra blankets were provided.

I loved everything, and we especially appreciated the owners. They were so kind to us. We adored the place. We recommend

酒店离市区非常近，走路只需要十分钟，从山上能看到整个城市的景色，很漂亮，会经常有猴子来酒店阳台玩耍，最重要的是房东夫妻超级无敌好，还没有抵达之前很贴心的找到了我的号码并联系我如何坐车到民宿，预定了一份早餐还送了我们一份，并且贴心的给我们仔细的讲解去哪里坐火车和时间，还有很多很多～选择他家绝对不会错，环境很好很像家的感觉，以后会推荐给来斯里兰卡旅行的朋友入住～

オーナー夫妻がとてもフレンドリーで良い人たちです。 街まで車で送ってくれたり、レストランを教えてくれたり、お皿やスプーンなども貸してくれました。 シャワーは熱いくらいのお湯が出て、スリランカで一番良いシャワーでした。 場所は街から少し上がったところにありますが、ショートカットをすると街まで徒歩10分だそうです(私たちはたまたまオーナーが出かけるタイミングだったので車に乗せてくれました) 帰りはトゥクトゥクで350ルピーくらいでした。高台にあるのでお庭から眺めは綺麗でした。 朝食も美味しかったです。 またヌワラエリアに来たら泊まりたいです。

部屋の鍵が壊れていましたが、私たちがチェックアウトする日に治すと言っていたので、もう大丈夫でしょう。

Sehr nette und herzliche Gastgeber, immer hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Alles war sauber und ordentlich, und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt absolut. Man fühlt sich schnell wohl.

Das Zimmer hatte leider kein Fenster mit Tageslicht. Außerdem sollte man wissen, dass die Zimmer im Haus der Besitzer integriert sind – für alle, die besonders viel Privatsphäre wünschen, ist das vielleicht nicht ideal.

Such nice hosts, always wanting to help out as much as they could with giving recommendations knowing we are budget travelers. Our room had natural light, and enough room for my husband to lay out a yoga mat and do his calisthenics in the morning. There were also some weights in the living room I used to do some of my exercises. We were able to store some things in the kitchen to make our salad/breakfast oats and store food in the fridge. The place was clean and felt like home. We extended our stay a couple extra days because we liked it so much! It is only a 10-15min walk to the city center

Owners (couple) were great. They did a great service. Very genuine and decent. A calm and silent place. Very clean. There is a nice view of the town and the mountains. We felt like we were in our own home. A safe place. Easy to reach and near the town, and a very beautiful area.

Our 1-night stay at Roshan Guest House was absolutely perfect. The location is peaceful yet just 10 mins from Gregory Lake and town. The room was immaculate with comfy beds, hot water 24/7, and a heater – a lifesaver in Nuwara Eliya weather! What made it special was the hospitality. Roshan and family went above and beyond, they helped arrange a tuk , and even gave us extra blankets without asking. The garden is beautiful for evening tea. Location is perfect – quiet street but close enough to walk to main attractions. If you want clean, safe, budget-friendly accommodation with real Sri Lankan warmth, this is it. It’s a complete misunderstanding. We arrived to learn that our booked room with two beds was sold out to someone else. They had only one smaller room with one bed available and said that if we don’t like it then we can search for something else on the spot. That was ridiculous so we stayed with them, but in the end we didn’t even get any promised discount that we agreed on at the beginning.

Roshan and Amali are beautiful ,warm , hospitable people.the house is so clean, the room was gorgeous, clean and comfortable. Beautiful kitchen to use. There is a lovely sitting area outside with a nice view.. I would 100% stay there again. I highly recommend this awesome homestay

Everything was perfect!

Madre e figlio davvero stupendi, disponibilissimi, dolcissimi, sorridenti e accoglienti, pronti ad aiutarti in qualunque modo. Lontano dal centro ma facilmente raggiungibile con una scorciatoia che ti dicono loro, 15 minuti a piedi. Ristorante molto buono vicino sempre raggiungibile con una scorciatoia a piedi in pochi minuti.

Da migliorare l’estetica della stanza e del bagno, ma comunque pulita.

Wij hebben een erg fijn verblijf (5 nachten) gehad in Roshan guesthouse. De kamer schoon en we kregen zelfs een grotere kamer, omdat we zo lang bleven. De hosts zijn erg vriendelijk en betrokken. Ze hadden goede tips voor restaurants en activiteiten. Als we nog eens naar Sri Lanka gaan, zouden we hier zeker weer verblijven!

Wonderful hospitality and a stunning view We had a lovely stay here and felt very welcomed by the host, she is truly adorable and attentive. The property features a beautiful garden with a fantastic view. Everything was kept very clean and organized, especially the common areas. ​On the practical side, the Wi-Fi works perfectly,which was a nice change from other places we’ve stayed, and the key system for the room is very convenient and easy to use. ​There is some room for improvement regarding the rooms themselves: Sound travels quite easily between the walls, so you can hear some noise from neighboring guests. Our specific room didn't have a window yet as it seemed to be under construction, and the towels provided were a bit small. However, the overall cleanliness and the kindness of the host made it a very pleasant experience. We would definitely recommend it for the great atmosphere and views. ​Tips to improve ​ -Adding a small bench or luggage rack would make it much easier for travelers to organize their bags without having them on the floor. ​ -Installing a simple shower curtain or divider, along with providing a squeegee/floor dryer would prevent the bathroom floor from getting wet during showers. ​-If possible, adding some soft furnishings or basic soundproofing between rooms would help reduce the "rumor" of noise from other guests Thank you!!

וואו איך אני שמח שבחרתי להתארח פה! רושאן ואשתו הם אנשים נפלאים וחמים שגרמו לי להרגיש בבית ומהר מאוד הרגשתי איתם כמו חבר ולא כאורח. רושאן טייל איתי, הראה לי מקומות מקסימים והיה הכי קשוב ונעים שאפשר לבקש :) המיקום נפלא, נוף יפהייפה, רחוק מכל הרעש של מרכז העיר ועדיין מאוד נגיש. ארוחת הבוקר הייתה טעימה מאוד. אם אתם מטיילים בנורה אליה אני ממליץ לבוא לכאן. כמטייל סולו הרגשתי שאני לא מטייל לבד למשך היומיים ששהיתי שם וזו היתה תחושה נהדרת. תודה לכם על הכל❤️

We had a really pleasant stay at Roshan Guest House. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely prepared for us. The beds were cozy and breakfast was great. The owners were kind, welcoming, and always willing to help.Overall, it was great value for money and a perfect stay.

Roshan, Amalia and Minoli were so nice and helpful. Amalia cooked for our kids and made us food and amazing eggs for breakfast. Its a very nice family homestay were we immediately felt like home, we extended our stay. Highly recommend 👍👍👍

We hadden een heel fijn verblijf bij Roshan en zijn vrouw. De vrouw van Roshan was heel erg verwelkomend en we kregen een perfecte kamer. We kregen allerlei tips voor de omgeving en ze hielpen ons met vervoer en onze was. Kortom: een aanrader, we hebben fijne dagen gehad!

Deze guesthouse wordt gerund door de liefste mensen die we hier in Sri Lanka zijn tegengekomen. De kamers zijn schoon, de douche warm en het is gelegen op 10 minuten lopen van het centrum (via een klein paadje). Met tuktuk ben je in 10 min terug voor 200 rupees. De eigenaars zijn zo vriendelijk, behulpzaam en helpen je onbaatzuchtig met alles. Ook waren ze heel lief voor onze 4-jarige dochter met wie ze speelden. Ontbijt (tegen kleine vergoeding) was lekker! Ook leuke avonden in de woonkamer gehad met de hosts en andere gasten. Mooie wandelingen in de buurt en levendig klein centrum met veel restaurants en bars. Absolute aanrader voor een top-verblijf in Nuwara Eliya!

Eine super Unterkunft für eine Nacht. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und haben uns sogar von der Bushaltestelle abgeholt. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Das Zimmer hat zwar kein Fenster, aber für eine Nacht ist das absolut in Ordnung. Ansonsten war alles sauber und ordentlich. Da es nachts ziemlich kalt wird, haben wir extra Decken bekommen, was wir sehr aufmerksam fanden. Insgesamt eine tolle Unterkunft für einen kurzen Aufenthalt mit sehr freundlichen Gastgebern.

Service en gastvrijheid komt uit het hart en is zeer goed. Ze staan altijd voor je klaar om je te helpen en zorgen voor een heel fijn verblijf! Ook heb je vanaf het terras een mooi uitzicht over de stad!

La salle de bain mériterait un bon coup de rafraîchissement, mais elle est fonctionnelle et l'eau est chaude, donc tout est là ! Le déjeuner n'est pas inclus (mais c'est précisé) et est un peu cher mais bon et l'hôte est adorable.

Rustige plek op wandelafstand van het centrum. De hosts zijn ontzettend behulpzaam, gezellig en lief. Ook hadden zij goede tips over de omgeving. De kamers zijn ruim en schoon met goede badkamer met warm water. Ontbijt kan je erbij bestellen en was prima! Deze plek is zeker een aanrader!

I had a great stay here. The accommodation is not very far from the city center, yet it’s very quiet, which makes it perfect for relaxing. The beds are comfortable and I slept very well. The family is extremely welcoming, kind, and always happy to help. I really felt at home and would definitely recommend this place.

Famiglia molto accogliente e simpatica. Volenterosi di chiacchierare e di dare consigli, ma senza essere invadenti. La casa è moderna e la doccia abbastanza calda per essere a Nuwara Eliya. Si raggiunge la città facilmente in 15 minuti attraverso una scorciatoia, che non è segnata sulle mappe.

Very nice place and the people are amazing too.

Roshan and his family are lovely people. The first night I arrived they were celebrating a birthday party and invited me to join and also eat their food. I drank arack and danced the night away. I couldn't walk for days after that and had a hangover the next day but it was all worth it. The room itself is cosy and the bed comfortable. If you want a nice friendly host family this is the one.

Not really anything except the distance from the town centre. It really is only a 15-20 minute walk or a 5 minute tuk tuk ride. But it is up a hill which makes it tough coming home for an unfit person like me haha. But it's no big deal really. It also gives you a beautiful view of the valley.

The owner, Roshan, and his family are extremely kind. I arrived there during the floods, and they treated me like a family member. They provided food and all the facilities I needed. I’m truly grateful for their hospitality

- enig minpuntje was het gat boven de kamerdeur, waardoor je alles hoorde wat er in de huiskamer of keuken gebeurde. Erg gehorig doordat het zo hol klinkt ook.

De hosts zijn fantastisch! Roshan en zijn vrouw zijn heel gezellig en zorgen ervoor dat je een onvergetelijke tijd hebt in Nuwara Eliya. Je hebt een mooi uitzicht over het stadje en zit op een rustige plek. Zeker een aanrader om hier te verblijven!

Aangezien het laagseizoen was heb ik geen mensen ontmoet in het guesthouse maar dat was helemaal prima voor mij!
