Reviewed Sep 12, 2026I loved this stay!! The cosy studio is just lovely…the owner has done a beautiful job with the decor, the bed is super comfy. It is out of town (as described) which means gorgeous views, sheep and lambs in the fields, chickens in the garden. Close to vineyards and fruit farms and an easy drive into Arrowtown/queenstown

Reviewed May 5, 2026It’s not often that one can say that it is better than in the photos. What an absolute delightful; secluded but still close enough to Cromwell township. It was warm and cosy and well stocked with everything we needed. You can see that the hosts paid great attention to detail to making the accommodation, inviting, homely and comfortable.

The property was clean, beautifully decorated, and very cozy. It was so quiet and peaceful that we slept really well. We would definitely stay here again!

Reviewed Feb 12, 2025Property the room is located on is amazing, large garden you can explore. It's in a rural location, with only chickens / roosters for background noise. Spacious living / sleeping area and amazing bathroom, one of the best in places I've stayed. Host welcomed us on arrival, and was super helpful. Generous car parking available, but may be a challenge to use if you have an extra long vehicle. Kitchen is basic (microwave, fridge, coffee machine and kettle), but met our needs and the host even provided Nespresso pods.
There is no AC so the room heated up and we couldn't cool it down enough before sleeping. A decent fan is provided, but it struggled to offset the heat. There's a heater, so suspect winter isn't as much of an issue as summer. With AC this would have been a 10/10 and I'd definitely consider booking again (just not in the height of summer).

Reviewed Feb 2, 2025Away from it all in a rural setting. Cozy as per description. Easy access to the Nevis, Cromwell etc. The owners were super kind and boiled/steamed our veges for us and allowed us to use their BBQ. Thoughtfully kitted out.
Would have liked a sink to wash dishes and a pot or two to cook veges. No microwaves for us; its not a criticism just a general comment that lodgings with a gas/electric plate are becoming harder to find. We have a vege garden full of produce we want to utilise and to save money on food costs when travelling.

Reviewed Jan 17, 2025Picture this - you drive through the vineyards of Otago, then the historic town of Bannocburn and then off the beaten track through the fields, and then up the driveway - the most gorgeous garden to your left, the house of the hosts straight, and your cottage on the left. Very thoughtful details like freshly cut flowers and a milk foamer. We would definitely come back.
The cottage has a nice view of the hills and the garden - across the gravel driveway 😉

Reviewed Sep 23, 2024In a lovely location past Bannockburn, could see snow on the hills and went past a orchard that had an amazing scent on a back road. A great place to chill out with good access to vineyards, Lake Dunstan bike trail and many other things. Went to the Black Rabbit Kitchen/Bar in Bannockburn.
All was good, nearly went down the wrong driveway as it spit into three, the middle driveway is the one, probably just didn't see a sign or read direction. to reliant on maps!
