Reviewed May 5, 2026Lotfi et Guillemette sont extrêmement accueillants, bienveillants, chaleureux et très réactifs. Après le pick-up à l'aéroport Lotfi, nous a fait découvrir ses talents de cuisinier, ils ont été aux petits soins. Ce petit coin de paradis verdoyant aux abords de Tunis contraste avec le dynamisme de la ville et permet une réelle déconnexion. Les chats, tortues, et parfois chiens ajoutent une touche familière.

Reviewed Apr 26, 2026L'accueil de Guillemette et Lotfi est exceptionnel. La cuisine est excellente. La maison très jolie. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable et avons eu un petit pincement de partir.
Rien qui puisse être amélioré ! Le logement est un peu excentré mais Guillemette nous a conseillé une application de taxi très rapide et très peu onéreuse.

Reviewed Apr 19, 2026Les hôtes sont super gentils et accueillants, la maison est très belle, une vraie maison tunisienne ! Les animaux, on voit qu'ils sont heureux, très affectueux et contents de vous voir. L'ensemble donne un lieu où il fait réellement bon vivre, qui vous englobe d'une douceur apaisante. Vraiment parfait.
Pour moi, ce n'était pas particulièrement négatif, mais j'imagine que pour certains, ça peut l'être : c'est un peu excentré (vraiment un peu, vous atteignez n'importe quel point d'intérêt en 15/20 min en taxi, et le taxi est roi !). C'est le prix à payer pour ce calme et ce cadre.

Reviewed Apr 2, 2026L'accueil chaleureux de Guillemette et Lofti qui nous ont reçues dans leur maison comme des amis de longue date. Lofti est un excellent cuisinier, il nous a régalées avec ses bricks, le tajine, le couscous...Nous avons eu beaucoup d'échanges sur les traditions ancestrales, l'histoire, la culture de la Tunisie.Tout cela avec beaucoup de simplicité, et souvent avec une pointe d'humour. Nous avons vraiment passé un excellent séjour à Dar Mayya.

Reviewed Mar 28, 2026Owners were great. So helpful. They took us into the Médina on the first night and sorted out a taxi fare for us when the taxi driver got lost. Security for our hired car was great and the garden complete with a multitude of tortoises was brilliant. Calm place to stay.
Location away from the centre of the city but taxis are cheap. Neighborhood is not the best which can be a little intimidating at night. Bathroom is a little old.

Reviewed Oct 8, 2024The hosts were absolutely charming and helped us greatly finding points of interests and places to go to. The rooms were clean and as expected. The garden and patio were absolutely lovely! Expect adorable cats and tortoise accompanying your meals and looking absolutely adorable
There was nothing we did not like about the place, everything was either as expected or exceded our expectations.

Reviewed May 31, 2024Guillemette and Lotfie were incredible hosts!! They made my stay in Tunisia so special/amazing - I truly felt as if I was staying with family, I was very well taken care of. The house/garden is beautiful. While you are not in a city/town (more of suburb) it's the perfect launching point for the city center, La Marsa, Sidi Bou Said, etc. and taxi's are quite easy to get (via Bolt) and cheap. It was wonderful to come back after a long day exploring to the peace and quiet of the property. I would highly recommend you try Lotfie's cooking! I ate here every night for dinner and never went to bed hungry :) He makes delicious, authentic Tunisian dishes with a lot of love and care. If I ever come back to Tunisia, I'll be staying here again for sure. Thank you both!!
