This place is amazing, and the staff are truly incredible! We stayed for 2 nights in a sea view room, and it was absolutely worth it. The room was very spacious and comfortable—we didn't mind spending time just relaxing at the hotel. The food was great overall, although I think the pizza could use a little improvement. We had a small issue with the air conditioning in our first room, but the staff handled it quickly and kindly by offering to move us to another room, and everything was perfect after that. It was the off-season during our stay, but that was actually a bonus for us because we had the swimming pool almost entirely to ourselves! The peaceful atmosphere made our stay even more enjoyable. We absolutely loved this place, and if we ever get the chance to visit again, we definitely will. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! 🙏🏻

Een geweldig verblijf! Vanaf de eerste stap voelden we ons ontzettend welkom. De warme gastvrijheid maakte echt het verschil. We genoten van de rustige sfeer, de mooie accommodatie, het heerlijke ontbijt en het fijne zwembad. Alles was schoon en goed verzorgd. We raden deze plek van harte aan en komen graag nog eens terug!

It’s not a first line, it’s a zero line, the ocean is so closed to the hotel. Absolutely stunning clean hotel with great location. Great and friendly stuff. I was even allowed to stay free of charge regarding my flight. Perfect place! Will I be back here? Definitely yes! Will I recommend that hotel to all my friends? Yes!🇱🇰♥️

Breakfast could be better.

Property was next to beach and also on main road. The view were amazing from the room itself. Properly maintained and cleaned.

No bell boy or concierge service to pick up luggage on arrival. Asked for their food menu on WhatsApp before arrival as my spouse is pure vegetarian, wanted to check the options beforehand. Still menu was not provided. Very limited vegetarian food option available, need to upgrade a lot on menu.

Very kind staff, from check in till check out very helpful. The Chief menu is excellent, he is a very kind person and experienced. We enjoyed the cuisine, the rooms were nice and clean. The room is huge. Pool with clean water. We really recommend this hotel. It is family friendly for a good price.

KLEINES JUWEL. Schönes Boutique Hotel. Kostenloses Upgrade auf 120 qm Suite , sehr entspannte Atmosphäre, Personal sehr freundlich und spricht gut englisch. Alles sauber, Betten bequem, Essen top und der Koch geht auf individuelle Wünsche ein. Toller Pool, Jacuzzi separat. Genug Liegen und Schirme, Hotel Ausstattung hochwertig, Hammer Strand sehr sauber und einsam, toll für Spaziergang, nur zum Schwimmen wegen starker Wellen weniger geeignet. Wir würden wieder hin.

Nichts zu meckern und wir sind hohen Standard gewöhnt. Ggf gibt es scheinbar noch nicht renovierte DZ, das bei Buchung klären.Ansonsten alles mega

Wir waren für 4 Nächte hier und haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Alle Mitarbeiter sind unglaublich zuvorkommend und lesen einem jeden Wunsch von den Augen ab. Es wird versucht jeden Wunsch möglich zu machen. Auch die Kinder wurden sehr, sehr freundlich behandelt. Die Anlage ist super sauber und das Zimmer war ein absoluter Traum! Das Buffet war sehr vielfältig und sie versuchen wirklich von allem etwas anzubieten. Sollten wir nochmal eine Reise auf diese wunderschöne Insel machen, werden wir hier auf jeden fall nochmal vorbei kommen. Vielen, vielen Dank für alles!

A la carte maden var ikke så god. Så i forhold til at vi ikke viile spise på hotellet lå det langt fra andre spisesteder.

Schöne Lage am Strand, toller Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang, einigermaßen ruhig im Zimmer, sehr ruhig auf den Zimmern, toller Meerblick von allen zimmern, freundliches Personal, schöner strandabschnitt für Spaziergänge, schöne Außenanlage. Gut für 1-2 Tage

Schwimmen ist hier leider nicht möglich, kamen 3h nach regulärer Check-In Zeit und das Zimmer war nicht bezugsfertig.

L’hôtel ne correspond absolument pas aux photos présentées. Pour le prix payé, la déception a été importante, d’autant plus que j’ai séjourné avant et après dans des établissements moins chers mais nettement plus agréables, propres et soignés. Les espaces communs, notamment le couloir, donnent davantage l’impression d’un établissement médical que d’un hôtel : ambiance froide et vieillissante. Le restaurant ferme à 21h, ce qui est déjà très tôt, mais se voir refuser une simple bouteille d’eau sous prétexte de fermeture reste difficilement compréhensible dans un hôtel. Une odeur persistante d’égouts se dégage de la salle de bain, très dérangeante. Celle-ci est par ailleurs mal conçue : chaleur étouffante due à une grande vitre, et manque total d’intimité puisque le spa peut voir directement à l’intérieur. Le point le plus problématique reste cependant le personnel. Une femme de ménage est entrée dans ma chambre alors que je dormais, puis a insisté en frappant pendant près de 10 minutes et en appelant par téléphone. Malgré ma demande explicite de ne pas nettoyer avant 11h les jours suivants, les dérangements ont continué. En résumé : un hôtel bruyant, peu entretenu et très loin du standing annoncé. Expérience malheureusement décevante.

The Staff is the biggest upside: very helpful an giving their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast and the food in general was good/ok and not as bad as many other ratings mentioned it. The palm tree garden is very nice and maintained. The reception area, restaurant and commen areas in general are beautifully designed.

The room: We booked a standard double room an got a complete different two floor bouble bed + twin bed room. The room was in an adjecant building, not even slightly soundproof next to the street (so no sleep starting with traffic at 5am). There where Pidgeons nesting on the roof an balcony, covering everything with feces which made the balcony useless. The bathroom is I the downstairs floor with souterrain like windows, no ventilation and only 2m ceiling. I'm pretty sure that there are also better rooms, but for a room rate of 250$, this was very underwhelmig... The common facilities: The Pool clean machine seems not working cause the added chlorine manually every day and the water was looking welcoming. In our case: not worth the money and a quite disappointing stay

We are very happy that we chose this hotel! Almost everything was perfect for us. The service staff were outstanding and truly exceeded expectations. First of all, we would like to mention the manager, Sulo, who was very attentive and a true high-class professional who create such a great and profesional team. We would also like to highlight the assistant manager, Manjula, who was always accommodating, helped with every question that arose, and resolved everything in a very professional manner. We would especially like to mention the Chef, who prepared fantastic private meals for us. It is always worth trusting the Chef’s taste — all we had to do was enjoy the food. We truly loved the hotel’s unique and relaxing atmosphere. The massage specialists were excellent, and we made good use of their services. Even the young beach lifeguard was very attentive and helpful. We will definitely return again!

The ocean was quite rough, and swimming directly in front of the hotel was often not possible. However, there was a beautiful lagoon just 150 meters away, where we could relax and swim on days with larger waves.

Hotel położony bezpośrednio przy plaży. Plaża czysta, spokojna, co jest niewątpliwie atutem hotelu. Personel bardzo uprzejmy i pomocny z jednym wyjątkiem, o którym wspomnę w drugiej części. Smaczne śniadania w formie bufetu. Hotel otoczony zadbanym ogrodem (pięknie oświetlonym) ze sporym i czystym basenem. Leżaki w cieniu palm i widokiem na ocean zawsze dostępne.

Przestrzegam przed nieuczciwymi praktykami stosowanymi przez hotel Rockwall - sprzedają pokoje 3* za cenę 5* Pierwszą dobę z 4 dniowego pobytu byliśmy zmuszeni spędzić w pokoju, który nie odpowiadał opisowi rezerwacji (nie ma go też w ofercie hotelu). Otóż pokój nr 304 jest o połowę mniejszy niż ten z opisu (30m2 zamiast 52m2), z łazienką, w której woda spod niezabezpieczonego niczym prysznica (tylko bateria ścienna) rozlewa się bez przeszkód po całej podłodze sprawiając, że korzystanie z toalety przypomina standardy WC basenowego i brodzi się po prostu w wodzie. Jedynym miejscem, gdzie można postawić kosmetyczkę jest podłoga, ponieważ w łazience nie ma ani szafki ani półki. I wreszcie rzecz zdecydowanie najgorsza: okna rzeczonego pokoju (inaczej niż w przypadku prawdziwych pokoi Deluxe) wychodzą nie tylko na ocean, ale i na główną drogę z Galle do Kolombo. Klaksony przez całą noc i niemiłosierny hałas nie pozwalają zmrużyć oka. Owszem, po naszej interwencji następnego dnia o godz. 14 otrzymaliśmy należny nam pokój, jednak nie usłyszeliśmy od Managera (Mr. Manjula Prasad) ani słowa tytułem przeprosin. Przeciwnie, zapewniał, że nic się nie stało, bo pokoje są różne i ten nasz był rzekomo "nowy". 200$ za koszmarną, nieprzespaną noc bez słowa przepraszam to NIE jest standard 5* hotelu, a zwyczajnie BRAK profesjonalizmu. Na dodatek Pan M. Prasad traktował nas do końca pobytu jak zło konieczne bez choćby "dzień dobry" na powitanie. Nie polecam też hotelowej restauracji gdy ma się ochotę na kolację - doznanie dość rozczarowujące- ograniczony wybór i przeciętna jakość potraw. Ps. Podobnych pokoi pewnie jest więcej (foto). Booking uznał naszą skargę za zasadną, hotel niestety nie :(

Location is great, you can see and hear the ocean waves. Staff is friendly, when I faced issues I was offered a better room. Laundry is very fast. Many nice restaurants in 5-10 min tuktuk distance.

Breakfast is very simple and you can feel money saved on it. Hot water sometimes takes up to 15 minutes to start, especially if you wake up very early like 6 AM, but it does not really depend on the hotel itself as they say it’s an external problem with water supply in the area.

The staff was very friendly and polite. Especially Prasad who was attending us. He attended us is a very warm and courteous. The service they provide is amazing. The location of the resort is perfect and the view is outstanding. Food was delicious too.

Hotel location was perfect, beachfront with seaviews to die for, room size exceptionally large, excellent bathroom facilities with double basins and very big shower cubicle. Cleaned daily, breakfast was also good, not buffet style as we had previously experienced elsewhere, it was brought out to you fresh fruit, yogurt with honey, pastry, bread and choice of either full English or Sri lankan. Chef was very attentive always wanting to please with any requests or preferences, could not fault this in any way. All grounds and pool areas well maintained daily by very hard working staff. All hotel staff very friendly nothing was too much for them.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im The Rockwall Boutique Hotel in Bentota kurzfristig direkt von Sri Lanka aus gebucht – und was sollen wir sagen: Es war die absolut richtige Entscheidung! Ausschlaggebend war für uns die direkte Strandlage, und diese hat unsere Erwartungen mehr als erfüllt. Unser Zimmer war einfach großartig. Wir hatten ein wunderschönes, sehr großes Zimmer im zweiten Stock mit direktem Meerblick. Traumhaft! Abends konnten wir vom Balkon aus die Sonnenuntergänge genießen – ein echtes Highlight unseres Aufenthalts. Das Badezimmer verdient eigentlich einen eigenen Absatz: Es ist riesig, fast wie ein zweites Wohnzimmer, mit einer Glaswand, die man bei Bedarf schließen kann. Das haben wir allerdings gar nicht gemacht, denn selbst beim Duschen hatte man einen fantastischen Blick auf das Meer – einfach unglaublich. Schon beim Betreten der Eingangshalle waren wir begeistert – sie ist wirklich atemberaubend. Da wir kurz vor Weihnachten dort waren, stand bereits ein Weihnachtsbaum, und wir wurden mit stimmungsvoller Weihnachtsmusik empfangen. Sehr romantisch und liebevoll gestaltet. Alle Mitarbeiter waren ausnahmslos sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit – egal ob an der Rezeption oder im Poolbereich. Unsere Liegen wurden täglich liebevoll für uns reserviert, inklusive Handtuch und einer Blume. Eine wunderschöne Geste! Ein ganz besonderes Dankeschön geht an Prasard, der für uns fast schon so etwas wie ein persönlicher Kellner wurde. Er hat wirklich versucht, jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen – sei es ein Sonderwunsch beim Frühstück oder beim Abendessen. Aber auch das gesamte Team war aufmerksam und engagiert. Sogar der Koch kam persönlich an unseren Tisch, um nachzufragen, ob alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit ist. Ein rundum perfekter Aufenthalt, den wir jederzeit wiederholen würden. Absolute Empfehlung! 🌴✨

Kritikpunkte: Die Sessel an der Bar könnten für größere Personen etwas bequemer sein; eine höhere Lehne würde längeres gemütliches Sitzen angenehmer machen. Das Frühstück war lecker, aber die Auswahl etwas begrenzt. Auf Nachfrage wurden uns sofort Alternativen angeboten, dennoch wäre eine größere Auswahl von Haus aus schön. Alles in allem hatten wir einen wundervollen Aufenthalt und würden das Hotel jederzeit wieder besuchen. Absolute Empfehlung! 🌴✨

The pool was beautiful as was the location on the beach. The beds were very comfortable.

The property was honestly filthy. Everything was so dirty - walls had mould on them, floors were dirty, windows covered in salt spray. The hot water took about 7 minutes to come through, meanwhile litres of cold water is going down the drain. The food is terrible - mostly a Western menu not well executed. Perhaps they should offer Sri Lankan food and do it well.

The location was absolutely fantastic - just a few meters away from the sea. The property is well maintained with a beautiful garden, very quiet and secluded, clean and rooms are very spacious. The staff were so warm, helpful and prompt - Manjula and Niruni's prompt assistance before the stay in booking the rooms and advising us. Prasad the non-stop human robot I must say was the most hardworking man I've every seen. He was so helpful, warm and hospitable and made us feel at home. Chef was ever accommodating with our food requests - and the food was absolutely delicious. I would say 10/10 for the service!! This is genuinely the first time in my life that I give a hotel a 10/10 — and it absolutely deserves it. The place is simply perfect for anyone looking for a romantic escape. It feels magical… almost like you’re staying inside a cinematic love story. Every corner of the hotel has this calm, dreamy atmosphere that makes you forget the world outside. The staff? From another planet. Prasad especially — extremely helpful, friendly, and genuinely funny. The reception team and the rest of the staff were just as amazing. Even the General Manager was incredibly polite and welcoming. I asked casually for a late checkout and got it instantly — no negotiation, no stress, just pure hospitality. The rooms were spotless, the environment was calm, and everything was more than perfect. I highly, highly recommend this place, and I will definitely be coming back.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt! Der Strand ist traumhaft schön und ideal zum Entspannen. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, großzügig geschnitten und wurde täglich perfekt gepflegt. Begeistert waren wir vom Essen – die Auswahl war abwechslungsreich und alles von guter Qualität. Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich und aufmerksam – weit über das übliche Maß hinaus! Kleine Aufmerksamkeiten wie Blümchen auf unserer Strandliege, kunstvoll gefaltete Handtuch-Schwäne auf dem Bett und die Hilfe beim Buchen eines Rollers haben unseren Aufenthalt wirklich besonders gemacht. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Wow…what a stay!!! It’s a hidden gem at a very serene location. It an ideal place for those who wants to live in tranquility and enjoy their ‘me time’. It is also an ideal place for romantic gateway. We stayed at their ‘Deluxe Double Room with Balcony’. The room was very spacious with a nice balcony and a spacious bathroom. The whole room and bathroom are nicely decorated. We enjoyed the view from the balcony sitting on the swing. Overall, it a very nice and comfortable room to stay. The have a very welcoming infinity swimming pool and a private beach. We enjoyed every moment of it. During our stay we also met with the Chairman of the Hotel Dr. Ranjuka and his wife Director Ms. Nilusha. It was such a pleasure to meet & have a small chat with them. We really appreciated the way both of them welcome us in their hotel. The General Manager Mr. Sulochana Nilhan has given special attention to us & taken care of all our requirement with wholeheartedly. Their Chef made us a three-course meal as per our requirement, such a nice gesture. We were amazed by the hospitality & care of all the hotel staffs. We are thankful to them for making our stay memorable. You can have tuk tuk from the road and other options of ride from pick me easily, if you want to visit near by. We highly recommend this place.

Lovely hotel with a gorgeous pool. The rooms are really big and have an amazing view. The staff are so friendly and helpful.

It’s a bit out of the way and because it was out of season it felt a bit too quiet. I imagine in high season that is a bonus. They struggled to cater for a vegetarian breakfast.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It surpassed my expectations. But the service was not that great, it was okay. The breakfast was average, regular toast, eggs and fruits. There is no breakfast spread. I loved the pool and its location, it deserves a 10. On the first night of our stay we stepped out for dinner and when we came back, the reception area was totally dark, that was unexpected for a hotel !

The rooms had ants, we had to specifically tell them to get the rooms cleaned out. We had booked 2 rooms but were not given rooms on the same floor although the hotel was almost nearly empty. The breakfast could definitely have been better. Also the service.

The hotel was fabulous and only steps to the most beautiful beach. We had a wonderful stay surrounded by lovely staff who were exceptional and so nice. Our sun loungers awaited us every morning thanks to the lovely pool & grounds staff. We had dinner most nights at the hotel and a shout out to the chef and the kitchen staff it was delicious food. The bar was a lovely place to unwind after a tough day lounging in the sun. ☀️ If you want to venture outside the hotel, the town centre is just a short Tuk Tuk drive away and there are always drivers available outside the hotel. We stayed 8 nights and loved every day. It’s a small hotel so the staff are keen to ensure you have a great stay, and that’s what makes this hotel special. It’s hard to mention anyone in particular they were all amazing.

Everything is exceptional here. The staff is very accomodating and the location is awesome, right by the beach. It is great value for money with excellent facilities. I loved the outside area by the beach, it is beautifully designed and a lovely place to hang out. The staff will go out of their way to be helpful, kudos to them.

Being a new hotel maybe there are a few things for improvement: I didn't like that there was construction going on next door which made the outside area noisy at times. The food could have been better, there was always something wrong - too cold/eggs burnt etc etc. Overall a great experience and value for money, with a few shortcomings which I think is because of it being a new place. We took a twin room, perhaps it was lost on them that this means we are not a couple, so we got a common blanket. And you could look into the washroom from the balcony due to having glass windows, which shouldn't be the case for twin bed rooms.

The beach and hotel were super clean, and we loved chilling on our balcony with that breathtaking sea view. The staff were all great, making our stay even better. We loved the beach location, close to the turtle sanctuary, and the pool with a large area with plenty of sunbeds. There was AC good variety in the buffet including vegetarian options. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly in particular Pradash and the pool guy/gardener. The beach is stunning but quiet - we enjoyed walking along it. The waves were large while we stayed there but we did spot dolphins out to sea. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

The road outside was quite busy but we did walk along it to the turtle sanctuary.

Location was excellent, very polite and attentive staff, any req were met inc adjoining rooms, breakfast etc. Delighted with stay, hope to visit on my next holiday

It is calm and cozy hotel.

- Hotel infrastructure is new and very carefully and lovingly maintained - The staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive and caring. It feels like home - Restaurant offers a wide variety of cuisine, whenever buffet is offered, with ample vegetarian options. - Rooms are massive with beautifully interiors, and balcony facing the Indian Ocean. NOTE: you are very close to the sea. If you have problems with the sound of waves, you will have to shut the balcony door at night

The stay was a real delight - the location right on the water with the sea not more than 200 m from the balcony - the staff was wonderful - all of them, particularly the GM, sulo - the mood was right and while the band for NYE wasn't great, we had a wonderful time with everybody dancing and running off to the beach at midnight - staff was very helpful with tips of where (outside the hotel) to go for meals

food was good and only occasionally great

Amazing staff who were so attentive, they couldn’t have been better at looking after us! The hotel opens out straight onto the beach, which is totally deserted so you have it to yourself. Absolutely stunning views, we didn’t want to leave!

We did get put in the wrong room initially, but were moved as soon as we asked. The food was ok but not the best, we would have liked a few more options for meals - health food and salads.

Indoor pool in the room is not heated . It is colder than the outdoor pool , hence could not use it ! Restaurant didn't have much options in buffet .

We wanted to enjoy our last 5 days in luxury and in a hotel on the beach. And here we were lucky to choose the best hotel we have ever stayed at in Sri Lanka! The hotel is apparently quite new and has not yet received stars on booking.com, but I have no doubt that they deserve 5! 🤩 There are only 8 rooms (large) and 2 suites (with private pool). So you quickly get to know the other guests and not least the staff. And they are something very special. You are simply taken care off, so it's unbelievable. We travel with a 9-year-old and since there were no other children in the hotel, they played ball and played with him in the pool. They arranged breakfast on the beach and they prepared the sunbeds right on the spot they knew we would like to lie down. They also drove right down to town and picked up what we needed. And since our flight was delayed, so we had to rebook the whole trip, we could just stay one day in the same room - no problems. They are simply amazing! The hotel is located approx. 10 min by tuk-tuk outside Bentota in the Induruwa area. There are a few shops and restaurants nearby if you want to walk around the area. But we mostly went for a walk on the incredibly beautiful and deserted beach. Here the locals fish on the rocks and you have the most amazing sunset. We also saw a dolphin up close.🐬 There are pretty big waves, but we swam anyway - because there is a lifeguard who is ready with diving goggles when you approach the sea.

The staff was the most outstanding „feature“ of this hotel. Always kind and helpful and with a personal touch. For example you mention that you prefer vegan food and you don’t have to ask anymore. Everybody is aware of it and you can be assure that you get served only vegan food. The food and especially the breakfast were exceptional good and prepared with love and care. We felt ourselves more then welcomed! The hotel and rooms are designed very tastefully with all the amenities which you expect in a hotel of this class. The rooms have a great view and everything was spotless clean.

It was a little bit offside so we had to go by Tuctuc whenever we wanted to do some outside activity. That was just our view - I bet there are many guest who are loving the location because it’s not close to any places which tend to be crowded or loud.

Meals were amazing and the location is fantastic ♥️
