Breakfast and first night dinner were great, loved the quad bike game ride, nice heated swimming pool at the chalets, peace and quiet, clean rooms.

Communicate exactly where to go, we had to drive an extra 8km on gravel to the lodge when we were booked at the chalets. There were no swimming towels in the chalets, no mop to clean floors, no iron till we asked, brown water from taps

It's new and has a lot of potential. Heated pool was great

We had 2 units.. the one had no soap of any sort in the bathroom. The other had only shampoo and cream , no complimentary coffee in the other, no dish towel in the one, etc. The drinks in the fridge were random, and a price list would help. The staff needs to ensure that every unit has the same stock. Quad bikes roaring past on a tranquil evening spoil the peace .. possibly route them away from the chalets. Also, the photos imply more game ... the game is probably around the main hotel? The check-in could also be more streamlined for the chalets... tell your chalet guests to call ahead and meet them at the chalet gate.

So quiet and peaceful! We could here ourselves think and realy take a breather!

Gravel to the venue is 12km so make sure you have a big car otherwise they will transport you anywhere

There were no breakfast included but it was communicated before with us. The unit was quite new and neat. We booked for dinner on the Saturday as it was a birthday celebration

My sister and travelled for a quick get away. Ideal place as it is close to PTA. The staff were excellent. Room very big and comfortable. Peter was very welcoming and helpful. Supper was good and very big breakfast was served.

The only small negative was having to drive 30min to the Game drive pick up points but worth it as the 2 drives we went on were really good.

its not far from pretoria,a hope away from home.The place is beautiful and clean and safe.The food is exceptionally taste and the portion were great ,the staff is friendly and happy to help.The chefs Ernest and Austin are skilled.Mr Pieter was exceptional every happened with precision.

Our Eland room was spacious and very comfortable. The food was great and the staff went out of their to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. We found the quad bike safari fun at Halali, and it was easy to access the Dinokeng self drive through Wilderness Gate

The dinner and cocktails were amazing. The room was clean. The quad biking was great. Nice pool, nice fireplace. The staff was so helpful.

The water in the shower was lukewarm but I understand it was because of a power failure. Gas geyser would be better.

Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Food and drinks were greatly presented and cooked to perfection. Excellent stay!

The whole team just cared to be there and to give a full experience! Never felt like we were not taken care of at any point in time. PLEASE BRING CASH TO TIP THEM.... I only had R100 to tip, but my heart felt like I wish I had more.... THEY ARE THE BEST REALLY!!!!!! Ow By THE WAY!!!! THE BREAKFAST WAS THEEEEEEEE BEST

The pool is situated right infront of 3-4 units...it felt hazardous especially if you know you cant swim. But beyond that I would encourage you to still book this place... it is peaceful.

The meals were absolutely mouthwatering, and the food was always warm and fresh. Peter, the manager, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the staff were just as amazing,attentive, kind, and always ready to assist. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely Everything - the place was so tranquil, time literally stops, The pool is set at just the right temperature and you float the days away whilst surrounded with so much beauty. Peter and his staff are amazing, nothing is too much for them. Austin the chef is an absolute delight and his food is divine. You will not go hungry the portions of food are extremely generous. The Quad Bike Rides are a real treat.

The Family Room I Booked Was More Than Big Enough, The Staff Were Very Friendly And Kind. The Two Chefs Served Exceptional Food, Breakfast And Dinner.

There Isn't Really Much Besides The Wifi When The Weather Was Bad But That's Not Really Thier Fault. The Males Urinal Got Smelly A Bit But Was Fine After A Few Flushes.

The place exceeded my expectations

The road was not pleasant.

See advice about juice above. Location was gorgeous with live security 24/7. Also, the manager was kind enough to check on us via text as we drove back from dinner to the resort while a violent lightening storm was threatening wifi connections.

Nothing really. Only advice is to let the guests know the juice is fresh. We had fresh guava juice for breakfast and didn't know it until the staff asked why weren't we drinking it. We had assumed the juice at the table was just regular juice. It was delicious.

The staff was very friendly, Peter is always checking in during meals and whenever you're visible on the premises. The room service ladies ensured the room was cleaned whenever we requested it. The room itself was exceptional, spacious and very comfortable. Halali is a wonderful place to relax and spend time away from city noise, with the pleasure of seeing wildlife, it's beautiful.

The room had an unpleasant smell when the aircon was switched on for too long, but after turning it off everything was good. The smell did not hinder my stay in any way

Halali is a quiet little oasis, close to Pretoria, but far away enough to enjoy the quiet and peacefulness of the bush. The food was fantastic! The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Big ups to the chefs and the rest of the staff. Peter was a great host everything was excetly how we wanted. We were running late and they made sure they stay in contact. Can't wait to go back again, we even booked an extra night.

Superb service, good room. Lot of animals on premises. When ordering for a dinner ask for wild meat. Kudu steak was more than perfect.

We stayed for just one night, and the location couldn’t be better, right inside the Dinokeng Reserve. The place had a warm, welcoming feel, and the rooms were well equipped with everything we needed. What really stood out, though, was the staff and owner, who went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. We also enjoyed both breakfast and dinner on-site, and the meals were very good.

The staff were very friendly, everyone made you feel welcome. The room we stayed in was enormous, almost too big for us but really clean, big bathroom. The food was amazing, very big portions and 5 out of 5 food. It was so good, the chefs were so friendly and really outdid themselves. The manager Peter was super friendly and helped us with whatever we needed. Would highly recommend this place.

I loved the spacious room, the natural beauty and its quiet surroundings, perfect for unwinding. Staff were friendly, clean and food was amazing.

Wi-Fi is not stable

Very friendly staff. Peter the lodge manager was very accommodating and the food was outstanding! We felt very safe and the Eland room was lovely. Game drive for big 5 was arranged by Peter at Safari Mall.
