Zoco Riad

I had a wonderful stay from the very beginning. The welcome at reception was amazing — the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, offering us tea, sweets, and water upon arrival. A special thank you to Abdel for his outstanding hospitality and professionalism. He took care of everything needed, gave great recommendations for exploring the city, and even accompanied us to the ferry port entrance, helping us with our luggage along the way. The house is beautifully designed in a traditional Moroccan style, which makes you feel truly immersed in the local experience. The restaurant has a lovely, family-like atmosphere, and the food was absolutely amazing, authentic, and very well presented. Breakfast was delicious. We especially enjoyed having lunch on the rooftop, with its beautiful views. Overall, a wonderful experience with genuinely warm hospitality. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back again!

Estuvimos en el Zoco Riad y el personal fue estupendo, muy amable y atento. La estancia en general estuvo bien. Como punto a mejorar, el baño estaba un poco descuidado y el suelo, aunque estaba limpio, se veía algo desgastado. Por lo demás, todo correcto.

lo bien que me trataron, las instalaciones están muy bien y es bonito y céntrico, ellos y ellas son muy amables. el desayuno es de reyes. el viernes hicieron una cena de bienvenida para todos los que estábamos hospedados. y la terraza es absolutamente espectacular.

la ducha es rara, pero es algo cultural,no tienen plato de ducha, se moja todo el suelo del baño.

I had a great stay at Zoco Riad. The room was beautifully decorated, my favourite in all of Morocco, even though it was the smallest :) Breakfast on the rooftop was amazing even in summer. I arrived via ferry and had someone from the hotel collect me near the port which I really appreciated. The medina can be confusing to orientate yourself especially with luggage. All the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend with riad for your stay in Tangier.

I loved the place and the decorations I absolutely loved this hotel. It beautifully represents the traditional Moroccan heritage with its authentic style and charming atmosphere. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel, the beautiful colors, and the amazing room decoration that reflects Moroccan culture. The service was excellent, Abdul -llah and the staff were very kind and helpful. The traditional Moroccan breakfast was delicious, enjoyable, and a wonderful experience. I also loved the beautiful view from the hotel.

Wir wurden extrem freundlich empfangen und haben bei unserer Ankunft direkt einen Tee mit Gebäck serviert bekommen. Das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse war sehr lecker und man hatte eine super Aussicht. Das Personal hat uns bei jeglichen Anliegen sofort weitergeholfen. Wir haben uns dadurch sehr wohl gefühlt und würden immer wieder her kommen.

1.The shower was wide open in the shower, water would be all over the bathroom floor since there was no door. Simply add a shower ledge to step in to prevent the water from leaking into the entire bathroom. 2. For 2 people consider access from both sides of the bed instead of climbing over one another against the wall. 3. Add a fan downstairs in the dining area to prevent flies and heat.

Nothing I disliked but good to note steep stairs in case of mobility issues. We got a bit lost a few tomes trying to make our way to Zoco riad and asking for directions were shiwn to Sokko riad :) Yes, similarly named place near by so be clear if asking around!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Zoco Riad, and felt incredibly grateful for the hospitality we experienced. The breakfast each morning was the best we had in Morocco, and the staff were all very kind and helpful throughout our stay. The location is inside the Medina, but not too hard to find, and very easy to access everything by foot.

We were invited for breakfast at our arrival day, since we landed pretty early and arrived at the hotel in the morning.

Airport transfer did not work out. Hotel forgot to pick us up. Anyway, this was not a big problem since plenty of Taxis are available at the airport. The transfer to the bus terminal was also 15min late. So better to schedule some extra time to ensure to be on time. We got the room at the top floor which is pretty noisy especially when many people are using the terrace. Anyway at 22:00 everything was calm.

Good location, and nucely decorated. There were fluffy towels and good bed linen. The breakfast was really generous with a great array of local bread.

My room overlooked the alley and although it benefitted from 2 large windows and natural light, it was very noisy until 1am. A few of the staff were not professional and although pleasant were more interested in their phones than their guests. Courteous greetings were sadly lacking and as a guest in my senior years I do not expect to be addressed by my first name.

Queda en medio de la Medina en pleno Zoco, muy cerca de cualquier punto turístico de la ciudad. Sin duda muy cómodo para hacer todo caminando. El personal fue muy amable en todo momento, te sientes como en tu casa, las personas son jóvenes y hablan inglés y español, muy buena comunicación con ellos. Nos tocó la habitación doble de camas twin en la terraza superior, unas vistas muy relajantes, merece la pena. Descansamos y desconectamos. El desayuno muy abundante y con comida típica local de Tánger. Si quieres experiencia completa el desayuno siempre hay que probarlo !!! Aunq el Riad está en pleno zoco, es muy silencioso y tranquilo una vez que entras en el. La gente que se hospeda también en él es muy tranquila. Incluso la zona de descanso de la recepción que tiene conexión a pleno zoco es muy tranquila. Nos sentimos muy bien en todo momento!!! Sin duda repetiría seguro!!!

Abbiamo passato 3 giorni allo Zoco Riad e ci siamo sentite subito a casa. L'ambiente è curato in tutti i dettagli, silenzioso e la posizione nella medina è ottima per visitare la città. Quello che fa davvero la differenza è la gentilezza e l'ospitalità con cui i giovani gestori ti accolgono e l'attenzione che dimostrano durante tutto il soggiorno; non da ultima, la ricchissima colazione che è qualcosa di davvero speciale. Se cercate un posto dove stare bene a Tangeri, questo è quello giusto!

the whole riad was very nice. we appreciated that breakfast was all morning so there was no rush and we were given a lot of food. location was great, we were in the medina so very convenient and the locals were friendly but would not recommend being out there late at night as tourists. walking distance from the marina which made a beautiful walk. we also enjoyed the rooftop a lot, it was very peaceful and had a cool view of the medina and you could see the marina as well. the staff were wonderful and made our stay very comfortable.

Il bagno molto piccolo con doccia "a muro": inevitabilmente quando si fa la doccia si allaga il bagno. Scarsa luminosità della camera.

Mon séjour chez Zoco Riad au cœur de la médina de Tanger s’est très bien déroulé. Tout était réuni pour que je m’y sente parfaitement à l’aise, avec une atmosphère particulièrement agréable et soignée. Le petit déjeuner a été un vrai point fort : copieux, délicieux et préparé avec beaucoup d’attention, un réel plaisir chaque matin. Une mention particulière à Achraf, pour son professionnalisme et son attention. Je garderai un excellent souvenir de mon passage chez vous.

Typisches marokkanisches Zimmer - war etwas überrascht von den (offenen) Fenstern nach Innen und die damit verbundene Lautstärke. Man muss sich vorher bewusst sein, dass es keine Fenster nach außen hin gibt.

Wunderbare Lage mitten in der Medina, schöne Dachterrasse, sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber.

Great location in the middle of the medina. Lovely decor, nice atmosphere. Very helpful staff.

The bed could have been a bit softer but that's personal preference. Television didn't work but we couldn't care less so we also didn't ask them to fix it. Shower was a bit unusual l.

A truly warm and cozy stay with impeccable customer service from start to finish. The homemade breakfast (and optional dinner) was absolutely fabulous, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The Riad offers helpful luggage service which makes things much easier. Would definitely stay again!

Just a heads up: there are no elevators and the Medina is quite hilly, so be prepared for stairs.

We hadden geen raam naar buiten. De afzuiging werkte niet dus was het zo vochtig dat de handdoeken zelfs niet droog werden. Zo werden we met hoofdpijn wakker. We zijn vaker in Marokko geweest en hadden iets meer vsn de Riad verwacht.

Das Zimmer zur Straße war wirklich sehr laut, Sollte man wissen, auch wenn es in der Altstadt zu erwarten ist, insbesondere im Ramadan. Dann wird in den Gassen um 4 Uhr schließlich auch noch getrommelt.

If you want authenticity and real Morocco, then the Old Medina or its immediate vicinity is the place. The rest of the city is ordinary. Zoco Riad, staff super, Moroccan vibes mortal. In a hotel, you should choose which side of the room the windows are on. Noise is near the street. From hotell you can took taxi to airport, 20eur. Some things. Maroco money you can change in airport. Some shops take euros. But no credit cart payment. And mobilphone minute cast a lot. If you buy something, always you must descuss about price. You can get 50% cheaper. Food prefect. Around hotell many restorans and small shops. Food prefect, tast orange juice, you never get better.

Noise by night listen in the room

Bonito riad en el centro de la medina. El personal fue muy, muy amable y procuró siempre por nuestro bienestar. Era febrero, llovía y hacía frío, pero en la habitación había un calefactor y un nórdico extra. Estuvimos muy, muy bien con nuestra niña pequeña. El desayuno es excelente. El tamaño de la habitación era muy correcto para 3 personas.

Supervriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. De eerste avond werden we uitgenodigd om gratis mee te eten. Heerlijk gegeten! Ze regelden een taxi voor ons naar Chefchaouen en we kregen een paraplu te leen. Ze roosterden ons eigen glutenvrije brood voor ons en we hadden een zeer uitgebreid ontbijt.

Un acierto total. Las personas que nos atendieron impecablemente. Amables, serviciales, atentos. Lugar muy bien decorado. Desayuno excelente. Pero sobre todo a resaltar la atención.

Ubicación en el centro de la Medina, desayuno casero muy Bueno y completo. Nos facilitaron la recogida y el traslado al aeropuerto.

Desde las 7:30 ya se empiezan a escuchar ruidos y es complicado volver a dormir. Creo que estaria bien hacer precio si se coge la ida y la vuelta al aeropuerto con ellos.

The service was outstanding from the minute we arrived at the hotel. Oussama is an excellent employee and host for Zoco Riad, staying up extra late for a late arrival, serving a delicious breakfast both in the hotel lobby and on the roof, and helping us with our bags to the taxi when we left. He was warm and welcoming for the entire stay.

Sin duda el desayuno. Muy bueno y generoso. Lo mejor con diferencia. A destacar también la amabilidad de Ghizlane, realmente encantadora y muy simpática. Nos explicó en detalle las visitas mas destacadas y lo puso todo muy fácil.

La habitación, extremadamente pequeña y cerrada. El baño no valía nada. Muy, muy pequeño. Apenas se podía usar. La Wifi apenas tenía señal y los huéspedes que nos tocaron en las habitaciones contiguas, mal educados y muy ruidosos.

The location was great and within walking distance from all the attractions. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and they made us feel welcome. Breakfast was always fresh and plentiful.

It can be noisy at night due to guests climbing up and down the stairs when returning to their rooms. There was no safe to keep the valuables.

The breakfast was fine. It was basic. Lots and lots of bread and freshly cooked egg. Some preserves and a little bit of fruit. The staff are lovely and try their best to help you out. They made a bad experience far less bad....

The rooms have no windows to the outside. They all face inwards and anyone walking up the stairs stares directly into your room and your bed.(including while you are sleeping) If you close the windows for privacy, it is stifling with only a noisy fan to move the air. The rooms are EXTREMELY claustrophobic when the windows are closed. The bathrooms are very small but the water is hot and the pressure is good. The beds are hard but OK. There is one room with an A/C and we were lucky enough to get moved into it. The floors in the bedrooms have not been washed in a very long time. There needs to be a way to find this place from the ferry. There are no instructions and the cabs just rip you off as they can not get anywhere near to it. It is best to walk but be prepared for a bit of a hunt.

Wir haben zufällig diesen kleinen wunderbaren Riad entdeckt. Das Personal begrüßte uns sofort mit ein Willkommenstee und wir haben seitdem 5 volle Tage verbracht. Ein üppiges Frühstück, lecker und liebevoll vorbereitet. Das Personal steht jederzeit zur Verfügung. Wir können es einfach empfehlen!

Notre séjour de 4 nuits, les deux premières nuits, la chambre ne correspondait pas à notre réservation. trop petite sans fenêtre, douche minuscule. Après demande, transfert vers une chambre convenable avec une réelle salle de bain les deux nuits restantes
