Reviewed Apr 6, 2026Great location, great terrace with amazing view of the harbour. We rented out all 4 rooms for a family of 11 and we were pleasantly surprised by how big the rooms were all with en-suites and well equipped. It was nice and clean and Louise was a great host and shared lots of great tips and was very responsive to WhatsApp messages. If you come with children, the coffee roaster across the street is great and has a great playground and old cars to look at as well. Easy to park right outside the property with lots of free parking but they also have their own locked parking if needed. We didn’t use that and parked on the street without a problem.
If you are in the front rooms you may hear traffic or people speeding late at night sometimes. This is not the fault of the property as it’s out of their control.

Reviewed Feb 23, 2026Nice location to restaurants. Louise organized safe parking and looked nicely after us. Also gave us great info re restaurants and things to do. Our overseas guests also enjoyed the stay over, especially the character of the house and decor. We have again booked the house for our motorbike tour in May 26, now our go to stay over when in Mosselbaai. Great value for money.

Apesar de não haver ar-condicionado, o quarto é fresco e conta com ventilador, o que atende bem. Como ponto de atenção, o check-out é às 10h e, exatamente nesse horário, a proprietária chamou na porta, o que pode soar um pouco apressado e inadequado para alguns hóspedes. No geral, é uma boa opção de hospedagem, confortável e bem localizada.

After 12 days on a non-stop trip, we loved that she offered us a laundry service! Pretty helpful! We are sending our love from Brazil to you, Louise! Such a pleasure to meet you!
The only small thing is that the house is a bit old and the door lock kept making noises due to strong wind when the corridor door was open... If possible, would be great to fix the door lock by making It tighter so the door don't vibrate. Simple thing, should be pretty easy to solve.

We had everything we wanted and more. The atmosphere in the guesthouse feels so good, I can’t describe it. We stayed for 3 night and would’ve loved to stay a lot longer, but needed to continue our journey.

She is incredibly welcoming, kind, and always ready to help with anything we needed — from local tips to making us feel right at home. You can really tell she cares about her guests. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Reviewed Feb 6, 2025Our host, Louise was fantastic. She gave us all the info we need with regards to restaurants, things to do and safety precautions but the area is quite safe. Perfect location and close to restaurants, shops and the market. The deck at the property is beautiful and is the perfect place for a night cap or early morning coffee. The rooms are spacious with high wooden ceilings and some modern touches while still keeping the heritage home feel. We had the family room with the second room in the closet (Narnia, lol). Lovely and spacious.
We had a sea view from our room (Captain's room) but unfortunately the window looks out to the entrance of the house so guests coming or going look right into the room so you end up having to keep the blinds turned down.

This room is right on a main road. It quietens down at ten but starts up again around six. If you are a light sleeper, you will need some ear plugs.

Reviewed Apr 15, 2024Property is well located, in the centre of everything. We were met by Carol a staff member very efficient and friendly. Later we met the owner who was very friendly and accommodating. We even forgot a bag in our room's cupboard which we were promptly informed about. The property itself reflects character and cleanliness. The beds was so comfortable that we overslept moments before checkout. Opposite the property is a coffee shop where you can enjoy breakfast or lunch with freshly brewed coffee. We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone which has excellent value for money.
