Breakfast was great, staff were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Comfortable bed and room. We were able to get dinner there too as the property is some way from any restaurants and we were on pushbikes.

The bathroom was small.

Il posto è davvero molto carino, le camere sono pulite, ordinate e il personale gentilissimo. Ottima sia la colazione che la cena. Buona la posizione a 10 minuti dalle chocolate hills.

Non è un punto a sfavore ma tenete conto che il posto è nella natura piena e questo significa sia tanta pace ma anche insetti per chi è sensibile. Non essendo vicino ad un centro abitato se volete fare tour c'è solo quello che offre la struttura, ed essendo privato, ha un costo maggiore rispetto a quello che potreste trovare altrove però vale la pena.

Vriendelijk personeel, kamer is schoon, matras is goed. Kamers hebben een eigen zitje buiten en aan de voorkant een algemeen groot terras. Of in de tuin zitten. Wij hadden incl.ontbijt wat goed en voldoende is keuze uit 4 verschillende soorten ontbijt. Je kan er ook heerlijk dineren. Niks moet, veel mogelijk!!🤗 Ligt tegen de Chocolate Hills aan

Sehr gutes Frühstück auf schöner Veranda. Fußläufig zu den Chocolate hills,die man dann vor oder nach den Touristen Massen perfekt besuchen kann.

Wonderful paradise ,they couldn't do enough for us .very friendly. Waking up and looking out of the window and seeing coconuts growing. Would highly recommend their hidden treasures tours ,worth every penny .

Die Lage ist super und auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht . Die Veranda war sehr schön, dort kann man entspannt sitzen.

Die Zimmer sind leider sehr heruntergekommen. Alles wirkt sehr oll, die Decken und Wände sind verfärbt. Es hat sehr stark gestunken und es gab viele Ameisen im Zimmer. Insgesamt stimmt hier einfach das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis überhaupt nicht.

Did not receive a warm welcome from the female owner. She did not say hello until the next day and didn’t offer any help or suggestions as what to do. However, her husband is very kind warm and friendly. This helps make up for the bad half. The staff are very kind and helpful. All the rooms are within one house and got very noisy multiple times throughout our three day stay.

绝对是深度游巧克力山附近首选酒店，景观非常棒，早餐好吃，森林里的木质装修是非常吸引人的，原生态。酒店在巧克力山景区内，不用去和一日游的游客人挤人，因为酒店有一座自己的山，爬上去就能看到巧克力群山的壮观景色。我们想进行深度体验，骑摩托去乡村闲逛，酒店可以租赁摩托车。整个巧克力山都是几亿年前的水底珊瑚，山上发现了非常多的螺类、贝壳类化石，化石爱好者兴奋的不行。 骑摩托半小时就可以到达眼镜猴和跳水的瀑布附近，位置非常棒。如果你想深度体验而不是起个大早去一日游，推荐这家酒店，老板人非常好，开车送我们去卡比劳的码头附近还会帮我们和船夫沟通协调。

The location could not have been better. The breakfast and all meals along with the transportation was over priced. Other than that it was ALL SUPERB!

The owners were fantastic at supporting us with maximising our time in Bohol. The location is perfect for the hills and to travel down to different waterfalls, walking routes and rice fields. They had scooters on the property to rent which we took full advantage of, and the food at the hotel was great. Also - if you love dogs, there’s a a couple of beauts on site to play with before you set out on your adventure

It’s not the quickest to get to from the port, but once you’re at the hotel you’re close to all the main attractions and have everything. Recommend stopping at the Tasier sanctuary on the way from the port if you want to break up your tuk tuk ride!

Das Personal ist sehr nett, schöne Dachterrasse für alle. Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Schöne Atmosphäre, sehr modernes Haus. Unweit zu den chocolate hills aber doch in der Pampa. Haben für die zweite Nacht ein schöneres Zimmer bekommen.

Jeli jsme do tohoto ubytování na jednu noc, protože jsme chtěli fotit západ a východ slunce nad Chocolate hills. Ubytování splnilo naše očekávání, je přímo mezi dvěma kopci, lkam můžete jít na vyhlídku a budete tam téměř sami. Ubytování je čisté, na jednu noc dostačující. Personál příjemný, ochotný, jídlo na večeři dobré. Snídani jsme vynechali, tudíž nemůžeme posoudit. Pokoj skromný, ale na přespání ok. Klimatizace sice velmi hlučná, ale byli jsme za ni rádi, bez ní by to nešlo.

Není to vůbec chyba ubytování, ale nezapomeňte si s sebou vzít repelent a neotevírejte v pokoji dveře na balkón, protože v tu chvíli proběhne invaze komárů a kousance budete mít všude 🙂. Doporučili bychom v pokojích dát buď moskytiéry nebo něco do zásuvek proti komárům. Ale vzhledem k umístění ubytování s tím musí člověk počítat.

Good food, great location to enjoy the chocolate hills, beautiful house and surroundings, rooms are bigger and more beautiful than the picture and they offer the scooter rental. We wish we would have stayed a bit longer.

I personally don’t like the showers as they have low pressure and no separation with the toilet but it’s a common thing in the Philippines so it’s just the way it is.

Relaxing location and accommodating staff that was very friendly.

Internet was not very reliable. We were trying to get a lot of work done online and did eventually finish it. But the internet kept cutting out making it a slow process. Bed was a little hard also but that seems to be common in the Philippines.

La cuisine est incroyable ! Et le chef est très gentil. Super petit dej mais très bons plats locaux également, nous voyageons depuis 10 jours aux Philippines et c’est ici qu’on a le mieux mangé. La chambre très spacieuse (nous avions réservé la quadruple). Le service : on nous a aidé à booker les activités et transports pendant notre séjour. L’emplacement permettant de faire les chocolate hills à pieds.

L’isolation, on entend tout : des voisins aux coqs à 3h du matin. Prévoir les boules quies.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Stay Near the Chocolate Hills Casa Aguelo was the perfect place to stay while exploring the incredible Chocolate Hills area in Bohol. The location simply couldn’t be better — it’s just minutes from the hills themselves, making it an ideal base for early morning visits before the crowds arrive and for exploring the surrounding countryside. The accommodation was excellent — clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and the peaceful setting made it a great place to unwind after a day of exploring. A special mention must go to Porsche, who manages the property. She was absolutely fantastic — incredibly helpful, welcoming, and always quick to respond to any questions or requests. Her hospitality really made the stay extra special. The owner Bernard was also wonderful and clearly takes great pride in the property. If you’re planning to visit the Chocolate Hills or explore this beautiful part of Bohol, I would highly recommend Casa Aguelo. It’s a fantastic place to stay with warm hosts, a great atmosphere, and an unbeatable location. We would happily stay here again.

Was perfect for our needs

Die Unterkunft hatte eine gute Lage um die Chocolate Hills oder die Tarsiere zu besichtigen. Nettes Personal. Wir konnten vor Ort bei der Unterkunft einen Roller mieten. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung.

Wir hatten das Deluxe Doppelzimmer gebucht, welches sich im EG befindet - direkt neben der offenen Küche ohne Türe. Man hat hier alles mitbekommen - Gerüche als auch den Lärm. Leider hatten wir extrem viele Insekten in unserem Zimmer. Außerdem ist das Zimmer extrem hellhörig, man hörte jeden Schritt über uns. Unser Zimmer lag direkt neben der Toilette des Hotels - hier gab es eine Art Verbindungstür zu unserem Zimmer, woraus eine riesige Armeisenstraße herauskam. Auf den Bildern sieht es aus, als hätte das Zimmer einen eigenen Balkon - dies ist jedoch nicht korrekt und sehr irreführend. In dem Zimmer hat man leider nur einen Ausblick auf den Hinterhof. Wir blieben nur für eine Nacht und das war ok.

The property was spotless, especially impressive considering it is located in the middle of nature. The views were beautiful. Really easy access to the chocolate hills with a good breakfast (the fruits were very fresh!)

Food was priced high. I think I may have felt that the property held more value if I stayed in one of the smaller rooms that were cheaper. The only room left was the deluxe room, and while the room itself was nice, i do not believe it was worth $101 per night. When we asked questions about how to get to the “private” chocolate hills mentioned in other reviews, we were not given very specific directions on how to get there and there are no signs, resulting in us getting lost and covered in mud. However, I will say the staff let us use the hose and a brush to clean our boots after we got back which was very kind of them.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr westlich gestaltet mit Kronleuchter, Couch, Jazzmusik läuft, kleine Getränkebar inkl. Wein, wenig "Philippinen-vibes", was für einige aber evtl auch ein "Komfortplus" ist/ reine Geschmackssache.

This was an amazing spot. Hosts are super helpful and friendly. Very clean and reasonably priced. The food was a pleasant surprise.

Die Lage war super, 10 Minuten vom Aussicht‘s Punkt entfernt bei welchem man die „Chocolatt Hill‘s“ bestaunen kann, ebenfalls gleich neben der Unterkunft hat es eine Quatt Anlage. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend & sehr freundlich, wir benötigten einen Fahrer, schlussendlich organisierte das Personal einen Fahrer der uns den ganzen Tag begleitet & am Abend an den Flughafen fuhr.

Das Internet könnte besser sein, es funktionierte nicht immer, der Rest war aber sehr zufriedenstellend.

Tolle Lage, wenn man den Sonnenuntergang oder Sonnenaufgang beobachten möchte. Man kann in 20 min zu Fuß dorthin laufen. Tolle Terrasse um zu verweilen. Für eine Nacht ok.

Sehr laut, Hähne waren zu hören. Frühstück furchtbar, Ei und Pfannkuchen waren kalt und langweilig. Personal war wenig freundlich, oder hilfsbereit. Auf Wertsachen achten. Dusche in die Jahre gekommen.

The owner and his wife are very helpful and friendly. The common rooms downstairs and upstairs are very nice. The accommodation is quiet affordable. Located in the chocolate hills.

Very remote. Nothing to do at night. If you can not drive a scooter, have a hired car or the scooters are given to other guets, your mobility is very reduced. Shuttle to tagbilaran or getafe pier 3000 peso. Even though a tädaytour. Location is good if you are mobile and for one or 2 nights. The dogs and roster make noise all night.

Bernard & Portia made us very welcome and the remote location was ideal for close proximity to the Chocolate Hills viewpoint. Main balcony at front of property was a great option to see the sunset & meet fellow guests but also to observe & listen to the very close local neighbours going about their everyday business. Comfortable bed and very good breakfast but unfortunately only coffee offered with limited tea options. Scooter hire a must to explore the wider local area.

The remote location was not the anticipated quiet & tranquil jungle experience as the noisy neighbours animals and music interpreted sleep throughout the Saturday night which was probably the weekend party night. Although property relatively new & modern the balcony doors did not slide easily and hot shower breaker tripped a few times so a little bit of maintenance required. Great view of the jungle from balcony doors but would have benefited from tinted windows as privacy spoilt by locals using footpath next to the property. Casa Bar & Restaurant only real option in surrounding Carmen area and food ok but menu limited.

Die Lage mitten in den Chocolate Hills ist toll.

Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, ohne große Ablagemöglichkeit. Im Zimmer befand sich Schimmel an der Wand. Durch das Zimmer zog sich eine Ameisenstraße. Die Mitarbeiter entfernten diese zwar mit einem Spray aber kurz darauf war die Straße dann wieder zurück. Wir waren im Erdgeschoss untergebracht. Im 1. OG befand sich eine Familie. Die Kinder tobten herum. Das Haus war so hellhörig das es regelrechte Schläge tat. Wir aßen dort zu Abend. Die Preise waren deutlich höher als normal (Chicken Adobo 400 Pesos, ohne Reis). Weiter bemühte sich das Personal nicht, die Teller abzuräumen. Wir saßen nach dem Essen noch ca. 2h am Tisch und niemand räumte die leeren Teller weg.

Nous avons juste passé une nuit à la Casa Aguelo mais quelle soirée !!!! Le propriétaire nous a convié à une soirée typique des philippines, nous a recommandé une sortie quad, à organiser nos transferts , tout à été parfait et même exceptionnel.

Wir hatten dieses Hotel für zwei Nächte gebucht. Leider wurde meine Frau während unseres Aufenthalts sehr krank, sodass wir gezwungen waren, früher abzureisen. Was uns dabei besonders schockiert und enttäuscht hat, war das Verhalten des Hotelmanagers. Ich habe von Anfang an klar signalisiert, dass ich selbstverständlich für beide Nächte voll zahlen werde. Ich habe lediglich freundlich nachgefragt, ob es vor unserer vorzeitigen Abreise vielleicht ein kleines Entgegenkommen geben könnte – zum Beispiel ein Frühstück oder etwas Obst. Wir reisen mit einem zweijährigen Kind und standen vor einer mehrstündigen Autofahrt. Schon ein wenig Wassermelone oder Obst hätte hier völlig ausgereicht. Auf diese wirklich sehr zurückhaltende und höfliche Anfrage reagierte der Hotelbesitzer äußerst unangemessen: Er wurde laut, fast schon aggressiv, und wies mich schroff darauf hin, dass ich mich nicht in sein Geschäft einzumischen hätte und er allein entscheide, wie Dinge gehandhabt werden. Das war ein extrem schwacher und unprofessioneller Auftritt. Normalerweise sollte es selbstverständlich sein, dass ein Gast – insbesondere eine Familie mit kleinem Kind – das Hotel zumindest respektvoll und fair behandelt verlässt. Dem gesamten Serviceteam war das Verhalten des Chefs sichtlich unangenehm. Die Mitarbeiterinnen im Service waren durchweg sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Auch das Frühstück war gut. Umso negativer fällt das Verhalten der Hotelleitung ins Gewicht. Ich empfehle dieses Hotel maximal für eine einzige Nacht, hauptsächlich als Zwischenstopp, um am nächsten Morgen kurz die Chocolate Hills zu besichtigen. Diese sind nach etwa 15 Minuten Fußweg erreichbar, und man kann auf einen der Hügel steigen, von dem aus man einen guten Überblick über die besondere Landschaft hat. Abgesehen davon gibt es vor Ort jedoch kaum etwas zu tun. Das Hotel liegt zudem sehr abgelegen. Andere Restaurants sind kaum erreichbar, sodass man abends faktisch gezwungen ist, im Hotel zu essen.

Extrem aggressives Auftreten des Hotelmanager! Sowas unverschämtes ist uns seit vielen Jahren nicht mehr passiert! Bitte meine Ausführungen hierzu aus der Bewertung lesen …. Darüber hinaus ist das Internet eine absolute Katastrophe . Das Zimmer ist auch nicht wirklich sauber gewesen und es kam keinerlei Wasserdruck oder gar warmes Wasser. Die Klimaanlage ist unfassbar laut und man macht kaum ein Auge zu. Im Zimmer fliegen überall Flugameisen in der Nacht rum. Maximal eine Nacht bleiben! Dort vor Ort gibt es kaum etwas zu machen, außer sich die Tablette anzuschauen. Diese Erlebnis ist aber auch innerhalb von maximal 3 Stunden gemacht, da man kaum durch den Dschungel laufen kann. Letztlich geht man auf einen der Berge hoch und verschafft sich einen Überblick über die doch sehr wunderschöne Region.

Nocleg wręcz idealny na odpoczynek blisko popularnej atrakcji jak Chocolate Hills. Szkoda, że nie zostaliśmy tam dłużej. Śniadanie rewelacyjne. Obsługa bardzo miła i pomocna. Klimat tego miejsca świetny.
