Methow River Lodge and Cabins

Ein absoluter Traum, es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage direkt am Methow River und das angrenzende Winthrop sind wunderschön.

Das Frühstück war wirklich kein Highlight. Abgepackte Eier, Biscuits mit Schinken und Käse zum Aufwärmen in der Mikrowelle. Kein Obst.

Friendly staff, great location, quiet, easy to park.

The breakfast was very basic, the shower had difficulty draining and one of the our bed sheets had stains.

Property was in prime location

Staff wasn’t friendly enough. Morning breakfast wasn’t good and wasn’t quality food. Even-though non-smoking including balcony, my neighbors were smoking weed from the balcony, so couldn’t sit out and enjoy.

De accomodatie is prima, ook het personeel. ook de locatie is prima 10 min van dorpje. Herten liepen achter de accomodatie langs, en het zitje achter was ook prima, We kwamen later aan dan gepland en na een belletjes was alles netjes geregeld.

De kamer kan zeker wat schoner maar was niet vies, house-keeping is beperkt maar als je wat vraagt wordt het gelijk geregeld. Bedden zijn minder goed. Het ontbijt is erg sumier, broodje en wat cornflakes koffie thee en dat heb je het wel gehad.

The views of the river and mule deer visiting every day. We also saw turkeys and western blue birds while walking into a cute little town.

They ran out of breakfast items and had no vending machines for water or snacks.

I loved the view and the room was clean

There wasn’t much to the free breakfast. I wish there was more available.

Beautiful room and property

I was a bottom corner room which unfortunately was by the stairs leading to rooms above & I was also closest to the road so it was very loud. Unfortunately the hotel was not receiving orders for food so there was very very little for breakfast. Staff was great and let us know ahead of time.

Absolutely loved this place! What a beautiful location, with the most beautiful, authentic style rooms, Comfortable bed, the shower was great, toiletries smelled lovely & the view from our little balcony over the river was just stunning. The proximity to the town is great, but the surroundings/location of the Lodge itself was so peaceful. We were so sad to leave. Reception staff were so friendly, wifi worked well & the continental breakfast gave us enough to get started for the day! It’s unlikely we will ever be back in Winthrop to visit this place again (so sad about that!!) as we stopped off on a road trip visiting from Ireland but we would 110% recommend this Lodge to anyone visiting the area.

The dislikes far outweigh the likes. Walked out our back door to the river. Walking trail nearby.

Bathtub and sink both do not drain, you end up standing in ankle deep water to shower. Pull out bed had hair in it and loads of crumbs from people eating on the couch. Dish network for TV and it kept cutting out channels saying not a channel we had available. Beds need updated, huge sink holes from wear. Coded doors to your phone number that dont autolock does not feel secure. Poor lighting in room, use lamps. No peephole in doors. Very tiny rooms. The breakfast was a joke. Even on Saturday there was less to choose from then Friday. Pre bowled cereal, bags of oatmeal, a bagel, 8 breakfast sandwiches in the fridge for everyone, small apple juices a b out 10 of them, Saturday had no waffle mix. Only one small microwave at 700w for 20 people to share for the 8 sandwiches. There was prepacked hard boiled eggs. Thats it. No fruit, no warm food besides a 700w microwave and a 2 slice toaster.

We stayed in a riverfront room. It's clean and cozy. The patio and the view is the great!!!

The exterior looks a bit pedestrian, and the location is not fancy. However, the location near the river is lovely and quiet and close to the town of Winthrop, which is really a cool place to visit. The rooms are exceptional in terms of quality and cleanliness. The interior is knotty pine, but very well finished and presented with a consistent theme for this western town right down to the finished Pine slab headboard, pine bedframe, and cabinet cabinets. The bathroom is complete, modern and functional with plenty of amenities. The bed was comfortable and the air-conditioning quiet and effective.

I paid $250 for one night and would prefer to pay about $175 but I need to recognize this as high summer season in this town and a fair value compared to other properties nearby

Wish we knew that the hot tubs in the cabin weren't working before we arrived we would of moved or changed reservation . We book the cabins for this amenity specifically

Nice view on the river

Breakfast only starts at 8:00am which is very late when you plan going hiking in the park. Very expensive for a basic motel.

Power was out for about 2 hrs. So fair rating.

The room was really cute and decorated perfectly for the location. I loved the river flowing directly behind the hotel. I could walk out the sliding back door over to the river.

The room was just a little pricey

The AC was noisy but it worked.

General exterior facility is not clean. The staff was not friendly. The breakfast staff was late and not prepared at 8.

This is located overlooking the river so it was entertaining watching people float by in floaties going down the flow of the river. The grounds and buildings were clean and in order. Having a deck on the river side was very appreciated. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

The price was lower than others but still high for what it is.

The room was very clean and the bed, pillow, and sheets were very comfortable. The location was also great! The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

The lock on the front door was not working. The staff gave us a key.

The cabin was very nice and spacious, everything was clean and kitchen was well equipped. Good location to hikes!

There was no check-in directions, so we assumed the reception would be open when we arrived at 7:45pm. We didn’t receive a key code so we needed to call the service line to get in. There was no info about the breakfast, and no guest handbook for the WiFi password. For the price we paid, the breakfast was nonexistent, half of the things were gone by the time we came for breakfast. The receptionist was very rude and unhelpful.

The absolute CUTEST town and lodge! Extremely clean, well-decorated, and situated in a beautiful stream where deer came to our porch each day. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Schön gestaltete Zimmer, Alles da was man braucht. Kurzer Fußweg zur kleinen Stadt im Westernstyle. Für die eine Nacht völlig OK.

Außer Joghurt, Kaffee und Getränken aus dem Kühlschrank war nichts frisch. Wer es mag, machts sich einen Burger in der Mikrowelle warm oder genießt eingeschweißte, geschälte Eier. Abgepackte Kuchenscheiben und Bagel, das wars. Das Waffeleisen war nicht in Betrieb. Wenig Platz, aber die Sachen können auch im Zimmer gegessen werden.

Didn’t get the check in text until 10 minutes before, only because I was in the mountains with no cell phone signal. I didn’t know the check in process would be through a text.

The cabin was excellent. Spacious, had all amenities. Great view of the Methow river at the back. Even had a chance to see deer!

The breakfast, which was included, was very basic. It would be great to offer a little more variety, and some healthier options. Also, the combination of the lock for the front door was changed in the middle of our stay. But the afterhours phone service (number in the welcome email) was able to provide the new combination very promptly.

The dish TV did not work for 8 days.The staff member guaranteed the TV would be working the second day of my stay she lied.The breakfast sucked items were not consistently stocked you never knew what was for breakfast.I will NEVER go there again

We had understood that check-in was 4-8pm. At 6:30pm everything was shut down tight. Had to call someone. Kitchen could use more utensils (3 forks). No dishwasher. Main bedroom has no air conditioning.

The walls were very thin. Could hear lots of noise from other patrons.

Breakfast was fine nothing great, but acceptable for the free breakfast. The receptionist had to handle the front desk duties as well as washing dishes and re-supplying the food. She had a great attitude, but it would certainly help the issue is she had an assistant.

Everything was good.

Great location and nice rooms with a friendly staff. Joey and Kathy at the front desk are so nice and helpful. Dustin and the housekeeping folks do a super job.

It’s a bit pricy for what you get, but I guess that is the location you pay for.

Everything was great!

Very nice cabin right on the river with an easy walk to town across the foot bridge. Parking is right by the front door. The cabin was comfortable and squeaky clean, with a nicely set up kitchen. Check in was painless, and we couldn’t have asked for a better location or setting.

I liked the decoration and proximity to tge river. They had no contact check which I thought was really nice

Location, love the Creek behind the room.and easy to get downtown. Management contacted us about our room waiting for us, since we were arriving late.

It’s an adorable lodge but unfortunately our floors were not clean. They were sticky and when we wiped them with wet towels on the first day, the towels were super dirty. That was a bummer but luckily we didn’t mind wiping them down for our stay. We still enjoyed the lodge.

The proximity to town was awesome. We walked to get coffee both mornings and use the path to the bridge.

The location is fabulous - within walking distance of almost everything in Winthrop. The river views are outstanding. The room was adorable, well appointed and so comfortable.

We did not eat breakfast because we had to leave before the breakfast room opened.

The breakfast hours should start at 7:00 a.m., rather than at 8:00 a.m. in order to accommodate guests who want to get an early start.

The room had a nice view of the water with a large enough balcony to be comfortable and feel like you had privacy. The room was also very comfortable and clean. Great location to stay and explore Winthrop and surrounding area.

The property was such a great location to the ice rink for our men’s tournament. Loved having a hot tub to rejuvenate after each game.

The room was clean and cozy with a nice view of the river. A flock of wild turkeys checked in with us on the back patio every day.

The continental breakfast was barely anything at all.

Very nice staff. Had a complimentary breakfast which was perfect for our family. Close to downtown/ walking distance. It was a beautiful spot and had a view of the river and was fairly quiet even though it was close to the road.
