La familia es encantadora!!!! Muy atentos en todo momento! El alojamiento es sencillo pero tiene todo lo necesario!

Inmejorable estancia en Chandra House, de los mejores lugares en los que me he quedado en mis múltiples viajes. Desde el primer día, esta familia te acoge como si fueras parte de ella y te hacen sentir en tu propia casa. El lugar es perfecto porque es una casa tradicional balinesa (podrás ver toda su cultura de primera mano) pero las habitaciones para huéspedes están ambientadas al estilo occidental. Son muy amables, serviciales y dispuestos a enseñarte mucho sobre su cultura y costumbres. Las habitaciones son amplias, cómodas, modernas, limpias (hacen aseo diariamente) y tienen mucha privacidad. También ofrecen tours, en mi caso tomé el de ATV a un mejor precio que la mayoría de lugares. No duden en quedarse aquí, vale completamente la pena desde todo punto de vista: ubicación a pocos pasos del centro pero más tranquilo, comodidad, cultura y tradición, buen desayuno, etc.

El internet funciona pero algunas veces era un poco deficiente. El desayuno es muy bueno pero un poco repetitivo para largas estancias (solo hay dos opciones), pero es normal en este tipo de lugares.

J'ai tout adoré. L'emplacement est magnifique, la chambre est spacieuse et très propre, l'hôte est gentil, serviable et très professionnel. Un petit déjeûner préparé par une adorable dame. Ce qui est aussi magnifique c'est que avec l'hôte vous pouvez organiser toutes les excursions ainsi que les transferts de l'aéroport et le port. Je recommande vivement

La struttura è pulita e carina, il giardino comune molto ben curato. Lo staff gentile e disponibile. La colazione è molto buona. Fuori dal caos del centro.

Seppur sia molto bello il fatto di essere fuori dal centro, inizialmente può essere difficile da trovare.

The kindnes and hospitality of the owner Wayan and his wife. Everything is done by heart. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Location is very near to the center 15 minute walk.

A lovely quiet family run guest house. The hosts were very kind and helpful. Great if you want to be close to the heart of Ubud yet quiet so you can get a good night's sleep.

I absolutely loved my stay at Chandra House. I booked in on a whim, and ended up extending my stay. This is an excellent 'budget friendly' accomodation option in Ubud, for someone who wants a quiet, comfortable and simple space to relax at the end of your day. Located within walking distance of Ubud town centre, or a short Grab/Gojek bike ride to wherever you need to go. It provides a quiet sanctuary out of the hustle and bustle of the traffic. This is an authentic Homestay with a lovely Balinese family that I had the pleasure to spend some time chatting with in their kitchen. They made me feel so welcome and safe in their home, and I loved hearing about their culture. I adored Blacky and Bliss, the family homestay dogs, who are very friendly and love a good ear scratch. The rooms are simple but lovely with wooden furniture, a desk if you need to work and air-conditioning. They are kept exceptionally clean (and mould free which was important to me). A yummy breakfast prepared by Wayan is included daily in the price. Loved the fresh fruit! I booked the room with the garden view, and I loved waking up to the sound of the water fountain, and eating my breakfast on my little patio overlooking the pretty garden full of tropical leaves. Wayan is the man of the house, and he is an excellent tour guide. He has wonderful options to explore Ubud and the surrounding mountains, terraces, temples and waterfalls. Wayan also has a special connection to an authentic Balinese Shaman & Priest who I highly recommend booking a session with. It was a very special experience, and in my opinion, he is an 'authentic' healer. I hope to visit Chandra House again.

La ubicación excelente, coges la misma calle de atrás caminando y estás en el centro de ubud. Las personas super amables, nos ayudaron mucho. Muy buena relación calidad-precio. Lugar muy tranquilo. Cama cómoda. Hay agua caliente. El desayuno de los mejores que hemos probado. Para los primeros días en Ubud la ubicación ha sido clave. Sin duda lo recomiendo.

Staying at Chandra house made my entire experience in Ubud be unforgettable. Putu and his family really treat guests like part of their family and I felt like staying at an aunt's house. The rooms are perfectly clean and really spacious, the balcony and chairs really make having the delicious breakfast even better. The property is really well located while maintaining so much charm and makes a great relaxing place to rest after a day in the busy streets.

It would be great to have thicker curtains for people who like to sleep in a bit.

Hospitality of Owners was excellent. Young boys were very helpful. Location is central yet quiet.

We liked everything at Chandra House.

Our stay was one of the best parts of our trip to Bali. We were blessed to stay with a wonderful family who are deeply involved in their community. The home is clean, very close to the center of Ubud and perfect for relaxing. Every day, the mother prepared an amazing breakfast for us — delicious and very generous — while the sons cleaned the room. Everyone in the family has their own role in the homestay, and you can really feel the love and care they put into it. We were also pleasantly surprised to discover they offer a taxi service. The father, Wayan, became our driver and guide around the island. It was the best thing that could have happened to us! We connected with him immediately, and he treated us like royalty. He took great care of us, and now that we are no longer there, we already miss him. Before arriving, we were nervous because we didn’t know what to expect, but they helped us with everything and made us feel calm and safe from the very beginning. They truly care about the happiness of their guests and work very hard to make everyone feel welcome. We hope to see them again very soon, and we will pray to God that everything goes wonderfully for them. We feel very lucky that our paths crossed.

Perfect stay in Ubud. Great location, very clean and comfortable room. Its a family place, very friendly people.

Accueil souriant et chaleureux par une famille très sympathique . La chambre est grande et propre ainsi que la salle de bains . Le petit déjeuner est très bon et servi sur la terrasse . La maison est un peu à l' écart , dans une ruelle tranquille et on y dort très bien .

La ville est facilement accessible à pied en un petit quart d'heure mais il faut savoir que la circulation est infernale à Ubud où les trottoirs , souvent défoncés , servent plus à parquer les scooters qu' aux piétons .... Mais bien sûr , la guesthouse n' y est pour rien .

The place is an absolute paradise. Put and his parents run cozy, authentic house. Every morning you get fantastic breakfast with a huge smile of the house lady. Spotless clean space with all you need in great location. Really recommended! Matur Suksma!

My room was very clean, and fresh. Importantly, there is no mold here. Everything was new and spotless. The hosts were were friendly and the atmosphere was quiet.

The location is a bit of a walk to the downtown, so you will probably be using a scooter to get back and forth. Not a problem, just be aware.

Die Familie hat mich sehr herzlich empfangen und habe mich gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Ich wusste im Voraus, dass sie Tourguides anbieten und habe ein paar Ausflüge mit ihnen geplant und gemacht. Ich kann die spirituellen Rituale nur von Herzen empfehlen. Dies war für mich ein wichtiger Teil zu erleben. Wichtig ist, dass man klar ist was man gerne machen möchte oder offen ist für neue Erlebnisse. Demenstprechend können sie Vorschläge machen und planen. Ich habe auch selbständig Kurse besucht oder Leute kennengelernt und gemeinsam verschiedenes ausprobiert. Zu Fuss ist das Zentrum ca. in 15 Minuten erreichbar. Am Anfang braucht man Zeit, bis man den Verkehr und all die Eindrücke versteht. Danach habe ich mich auch am Abend nach 22:00 Uhr sicher gefühlt als ich zur Unterkunft alleine zurücklief.

Ich habe nichts zu bemängeln! Wichtig an alle Reisende, achtet auf eure Bedürfnisse und teilt es mit. Denn ich hatte manchmal weniger Energie einen grossen Ausflug zu machen und habe auf mich geachtet.

Я искала тихое и спокойное пространство, где можно по-настоящему выспаться и отдохнуть, и при этом — чтобы всё было в пешей доступности, так как я была без транспорта. Это место оказалось идеальным во всех смыслах. Всего 10 минут пешком — и вы в центре Убуда, а уже через 8 минут можно оказаться среди живописных рисовых полей, где особенно приятно гулять ранним утром, сидеть в тишине и наслаждаться красотой природы. Каждое утро меня ждали вкусные, домашние завтраки, приготовленные с заботой прекрасной хозяйкой дома. Вся семья — невероятно добрые, искренние и душевные люди. Их тепло чувствуется во всём, и подобрать слова, чтобы это описать, действительно сложно. Комнаты убирали ежедневно, полотенца и постельное бельё — безупречно белые, кровать очень удобная, интернет работал отлично, а кондиционер работал тихо и очень эффективно, создавая идеальный комфорт для отдыха и сна. В нескольких шагах от дома находится прекрасный бассейн, где можно расслабиться, поплавать и вкусно поесть. Это было не просто проживание, а настоящее ощущение уюта, заботы и гармонии. Всё было превосходно. Спасибо вам от всего сердца — я обязательно вернусь сюда снова.❤️🙏

Good stay overall as I was out on tour most of the day! It was pleasant overall (8.5 for me). Garden/temple/basically their public area is well maintained. Very quiet area too :)

The AC was not cool enough as it was super humid and hot the last two days in December, so it was really hard to fall asleep. Also cleaning was skipped my last day even though host came inside my room. The bedsheets aren’t changed daily, which is unfortunate given the sleep sweating from humidity… again if AC worked well it wouldn’t be as much of an issue. I stayed at another guest house in the area (same price) and the AC was so much better/stronger. The bathroom sink also leaked drainage water from under. Bring shampoo and conditioner as it’s not default in bathroom.

Спасибо Ваяну и его семье за гостеприимство! Благодаря вам моя поездка в Убуд прошла очень насыщенно и успешно! Мой номер был на втором этаже с прекрасным видом на окрестности Убуда и столиком на балкончике, где каждое утро жена Ваяна сервировала очень вкусный завтрак! Завтрак включал на выбор - томатный омлет, либо банановые блинчики! Из напитков - чай, либо кофе, также бонусом сервировалась ваза со свежими фруктами! Также хочу отметить исключительную чистоту номера, уборка проводилась ежедневно, все простыни, полотенца - новые, мебель новая, было очень приятно находиться в таком номере! В номере есть кондиционер, кровать очень удобная. Ваян, его жена и сыновья - очень милые и общительные люди. Мне удалось с ними пообщаться, так как они владеют английским языком. Действительно, как писали в других отзывах, есть возможность заказать у Ваяна экскурсию по Убуду. В ходе этой экскурсии мы узнали много интересных фактов о Бали и посетили интересные места! При этом, если вам необходимо уединение - вы это тоже тут найдете. Уборка проводится, когда вас нет в номере, завтрак сервируется после заказа на 1 этаже. Центр Убуда находится в 7-10 минутах ходьбы от дома, очень близко. Т е этот дом находится практически в центре, но при этом не на улице, где ходят толпы туристов. По пути в центр есть много комбини-супермаркетов, фруктовых лавок. И очень важный момент! Я работала удаленно с Бали и для меня был очень важен быстрый интернет. В других отзывах к этому жилью я прочитала, что интернет здесь очень быстрый, это в тоже сыграло роль при выборе отеля. Подтверждаю, интернет был очень быстрым, все рабочие видеосозвоны отлично грузились! Мне очень понравился этот мини-отель и отношение хозяев к гостям!

Mon séjour à UBU Chandra House a été tout simplement merveilleux ! Putu et sa famille sont incroyablement gentils, attentionnés et toujours à l’écoute. Le service est irréprochable, tout est propre et plein de petites attentions. Le papa, qui est guide et chauffeur, nous a emmenés à notre prochaine destination en organisant un itinéraire parfait : il nous a fait découvrir de superbes endroits, tout en partageant avec passion l’histoire et la culture indonésienne. Bref, un séjour inoubliable, je recommande à 100 %! 🙏✨

Sehr nette Gastfamilie. Tägliche Reinigung, alles sehr sauber, bequemes Bett, schöner Balkon, ruhige Lage. Bis zum Zentrum (Ubud Palace) ist es 1 km Fußweg. Insgesamt hatte ich fünf Nächte.

Die beiden Stuhlkissen sollten ausgetauscht werden.

Everything here is incredibly clean, probably the cleanest place I’ve stayed in Bali. The owners are very kind and genuine, they really make you feel welcome. I parocularly appreciate that each room has separate water heater and you really can take hot shower! The location is great too, it’s quiet and away from the dust and noise of central Ubud, but you can still walk to town easily. Perfect if you want some peace while staying close to everything.

A mini fridge in the room would be nice.

The location was near the heart of downtown, easily walkable. The Chandra Family was amazing, friendly and hospitable.

Emplacement au top : calme et silence la nuit, tout en étant à seulement 10 minutes à pied du centre-ville. Le jardin du homestay est rafraîchissant et apaisant après une journée passée à marcher dans l’effervescence et la chaleur d’Ubud! Les hôtes sont très accueillants et chaleureux, toujours soucieux de rendre le séjour et les déplacements aussi simples et agréables que possible. Ils sont de très bon conseil pour les restaurants des alentours et l’omelette au petit-déjeuner est délicieuse! Le dernier jour, Wayan nous a conduits jusqu’à notre prochaine étape et nous a proposé, sans insister, plusieurs arrêts magnifiques sur le chemin, à l’écart des foules. Le trajet est passé super vite grâce à ses anecdotes sur Bali et son humour !

Le logement est vraiment très bien et conforme à la description. Les petits déjeuners sont délicieux et les personnes sont très sympathiques. Nous avons visiter bali avec wayan (le gérant) qui nous a conduit sur l'ensemble des points à visiter et il prenait le temps de nous attendre à chaque fois.

Our stay at Chandra House was wonderful. 🌿 The owners are very kind and always ready to help with questions or trip arrangements. While taking the trip, Wayan (one of the owners), is really one of the best guides my boyfriend and i ever had– easy to talk to and full of knowledge about Bali. The breakfast was included and super tasty, everything was clean and well organized, and both the air conditioning and WiFi worked perfectly. The property is beautiful, surrounded by LOTS of plants and kept tidy. A lovely family-run place with warm and genuinely helpful people. Highly recommended! Thank you so much again! Quel bonheur d'arriver dans le calme du jardin de la pension de famille de Wayan ! on est pourtant à quelques minutes à pied seulement du centre et de l'agitation d'Ubud. Les chambres sont spacieuses et les équipements de grande qualité. Wayan et son épouse font leur maximum pour que tout soit parfait. Wayan offre ses services de guide pour des half day ou full day tours, ou pour vous amener où vous voulez, toujours en vous expliquant ce que vous voyez ou en vous donnant ses conseils pour que tout se passe bien. N'hésitez pas à vous adresser à lui ! Si vous en avez l'occasion, saisissez l'opportunité d'assister à la danse Kecak organisée par le temple du quartier, et à laquelle Wayan participe, c'est vraiment très intéressant et impressionnant. Enfin, nous avons été particulièrement touchés de leur attention, avec le petit cadeau offert à notre fille au matin de son anniversaire. Bref, on recommande chaleureusement !

I appreciated the flexibility in serving breakfast earlier due to my itinerary. I liked that it came with a decent size of fresh fruit, however, it would be nice to have more options.

Very cosy, family-owned property. Very green and peceful and yet it is close to the center of Ubud - you can walk to the center ~20min or ~30min to monkey forest where all the nice shops and restaurants are. Property is also close by foot to the art market and very nice rice field walk - just google Sweet Orange Warung and you'll find it. Host are lovely people who made sure we had everything we needed. The owner is also a tour guide and he speaks english very well so it is very convinient to book a tour of Ubud with him. Breakfast was very nice and served on the terrace from 8-10am.

Maybe just a small but overall insignificant suggestion to add a holder for the soap and toothbrushes. Little fridge in the room would also be a bonus.

Our stay at Chandra House Ubud was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we arrived, Wayan and his lovely family made us feel like part of their home, while also respecting our privacy and quiet time in our comfortable suite.  Their warmth and generosity made all the difference -especially as I was solo traveling with my baby boy. Every day, our room was cleaned with care, and most mornings and evenings, Wayan or his wife would kindly offer to entertain my little guy so I could enjoy breakfast or take a peaceful shower—such small acts of kindness that meant the world to me. Wayan is not just a host but also an experienced driver and tour guide. Navigating Ubud's traffic can be sketchy at best- especially with a baby- but with Wayan behind the wheel (a man who has driven the roads of Bali since bicycles were the primary transport!) I felt completely at ease with my boy.  He took us to beautiful local attractions, warungs where the locals eat, and shared stories and insights about Balinese culture and life with passion and pride. The outings were relaxed, enriching and specially selected by Wayan to support and engage with the "real" Bali.  The homestay itself is in a traditional Balinese family compound where Wayan and his family have lived for 7 generations! It is on a quiet street of other local family homes and walking distance to the city centre. It has all the elements you need for a relaxing stay - bright, simple and clean rooms, comfortable beds, warm showers with good pressure, bottled water sold on site, in house driving services... The garden is relaxing and peaceful - with resident birds, a trickling fish pond and Wayan's wife and mother leaving offerings everywhere you look. I wholeheartedly recommend Chandra House to anyone looking to go deeper than the now standard resort-style vacation in Bali —this is a place to connect, learn, relax and feel cared for in the true Balinese way. We can't wait to go back!

Beautiful property and rooms with great views in a very peaceful neighborhood. Perfect for recharging! Breakfast is delicious and plenty! Hosts are very friendly, and they clean the rooms daily. AC and Internet worked very well. Soap is provided but other than that you should bring your own toiletries (or buy some at the store down the street) :) Would stay here again

The host Wayan and his wife were most kind and very caring - the island of Bali is of course a dream but it is people like this family that makes Balinese experience perfect. This is a Balinese family compound with its own temple - the garden is very sereen and our room overlooked a small pretty pond which attracted lots of small birds. It is located off the maijn busy road and once in, all the hectic and noise of crowded Ubud is gone yet if you need anything at all, it is all within walking distance. Wifi works perfect and flawless, the room is spotless, good hot water shower. Every morning we were served breakfast with a generous bowl of a selection of fresh fruit and a beauiful smile from ibu Wayan. If you want to cook something yourself you can make use of their kitchen which was a very nice option. We stayed for 6 nights and Putu - one of Wayan's sons took us to many places - Putu is a very good guide - a safe driver who knows a lot about the island. We had guides before but Putu is definitely somebody that is worthwhile hiring - it saves times and he shows you many hidden gems before the main crowd arrives. Wayan and his family (his mother, his two sons (one of which is Putu the guide and driver) and of course his beautiful always smiling wife make you feel you feel you are part of this family and it hurts to say goodbye). So, in short, if you are looking for an accommodation, stop here, do not look any further, it will be hard to beat this place.

We cannot really give any tips, if we must, perhaps a small coat rack, to hang your jacket or bag - that is the only thing we really missed :). It would add some extra comfort when travelling.

The most clean rooms I have seen in Bali. I stayed here for several nights because I had to leave another property due to mold. I felt very comfortable here and the location is great. Breakfast was good and the host made sure I had food every morning, even when I woke up late. I stayed in the upstairs room, and it is very private.

The host is sometimes busy and doesn't respond via WhatsApp for a few hours.

You can’t beat the location. Extremely central but tucked away just enough you hear nothing, and feel so peaceful on their beautiful property. I stayed 12 nights and would have stayed longer, it felt like home. Their family is so generous, ensuring you have everything you need, and answering all your Bali questions. Waking up here in the garden, having delicious breakfast included and petting the puppies was a real life dream. This place is a hidden gem! Plus putu is a tour guide and can inform you on all places touristy, and not!

Chandra House Ubud was everything I expected and more! The house is located in a family compound (which for me was amazing because you can see the family temple, people doing offering and living the traditional life!) and it’s only 10 minutes walk from the main street.. that means that you don’t hear the traffic noise and you have everything you need close by. The room is spacious and there’s a lot of light. In front of it there’s a beautiful garden with a pond. But what truly made my stay unforgettable, was the family. Putu and his family really did everything to help me and make me feel like I was part of the family, but they also respected my privacy! They were all so kind. Wayan, the father, is also a tour guide and he showed me a lot of places, including the real Bali, not only the touristic place! Ni Wayan Murtini, the mother, is super sweet and an amazing cook, and prepares an amazing breakfast! I had an amazing time there and I will come back!!
