It is very close to the owners house however this didn’t hinder our stay but mentioning just so others are aware. Pillows could have been more comfortable however I did still get a good nights sleep

Reviewed May 19, 2026Arrived quite late and left early the next day. Very cosy and warm. More spacious than expected. Good kitchen facilities, awesome bed and shower was wonderful. Loved the digital key code lock,. Felt very safe. Good location to hospital although I did drive but it is walkable.
I arrived in the dark and had a little difficulty finding the right place but once found all good. No TV but no biggie when you're only there overnight.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026After coming up for a last minute surgery for my partner, I needed somewhere close to the hospital to stay that accommodated a one year old. The cabin was perfect for myself and my child in a stressful time. It was great being able to drive straight up to the cabin, with contactless check in. It was nice to know the hosts were right there if needed, especially solo parenting for the weekend. I personally loved the bed, pillows and the water pressure in the shower. My daughter loved scooting around and seeing the birds in the bush at the back of the property.

Reviewed Nov 11, 2025Everything. Was great. Proximity to Waikato Hospital was a requirement for us. Without a vehicle it was a 10 minute stroll and felt we could come and go without disturbing the hosts. Lovely and relaxing grounds appreciated at this worrying time.
A couple of minor things we knew we could have requested but as occupied at the hospital our hours at the cabin were varied and often not in sync with hosts. Brush and dust pan, smaller bread and butter plates and cloths for wiping.

Doesn't have a TV if you are just waiting a place to rest and sleep this place is for you. If you are wanting a TV e.g Sky Sports other places will accommodate you.

Toilet seat was not fitted properly . The main door was metal which transferred a lot of the cold into the unit. Should be timber or insulated. Could have had more kitchen utensils and plates.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2025The space is exactly what it says it is. A self-contained room at the end of an urban property. Lovely view into a bush valley below, very quiet and simple. Super comfy bed, nice linen and good shower. Easy uber to town for food. Great value.

Reviewed Mar 15, 2025Cosy cabin with parking almost on the doorstep. We absolutely loved staying there. It was extremely clean with all the possible necessities. The very friendly host greeted us on arrival. Located very central and easy to find with navigation. It was a last minute decision to stay over in Hamilton and finding this true gem was a pleasant surprise. Being bird watchers and loving photography we even had the opportunity to take a couple of pics from the lookout point just outside the entrance door.
Can not fault anything on this accomodation.

Reviewed Jan 17, 2025This little piece of heaven was welcome after being on bus's and lots of travel. It is a very quiet space with everything you need. It overlooks green and even has an outdoor seating space with green and nature all round. The family is a kind group that was aware of my need for peace and were lovely to communicate with!!! The bed was very comfy and the wifi superb...all dishes for mini area supplied, really enjoyed! I also saw they has a little Uber scooter out front to be able to zip around to the local mini shop or something...very cool!
Maybe a little shelf in shower for woman for their razor...

Very very minor thing - some of those wee milk things for a cup of tea would have been good. Although i reckon if i had asked they would have given me some milk anyway.
