Kele Yala

Located in a bush setting with a pool you could watch monkeys and other animals from, this is a place for those wanting a nature orientated stay. The staff were very keen to provide a good experience, even setting up a poolside dinner one night.

The air conditioning isn't the strongest. It's a set menu for meals.

ラッキーなことに貸切だったのでのんびりプールに入れました。ホテル敷地内外の散策にスタッフの方々案内してくれて孔雀も見る事ができました。 食事はどれも美味しく、特にパイナップルカレーが最高でした。 部屋も可愛くて過ごしやすかったです。 たくさんの星空も見れました。 サファリ、タクシーの手配もしてくれてとても充実したした楽しい時間を過ごせました。 ホテルのWi-Fiはないけど、eSIMは使えたのでデジタルデトックスはできませんでした(笑) ホテルのロゴが可愛いのでTシャツなどのグッズ販売を希望します。 お世話をしてくれた３人のスタッフさん、本当にありがとうございました。

El trato del personal maravilloso, las instalaciones en medio de la naturaleza preciosas, la limpieza de 10, lo bien cuidado que estaba todo el resort. La cena increíble, con un ambiente muy acogedor. Nos gestionaron el safari y también de lujo.

Le personnel était génial, ils étaient au petit soin en permanence et on su être là quand on en avait besoin et la qualité de la nourriture était juste incroyable.

Das Personal ist spitze und die Zimmer super cool.

Ab vom Schuss, daher hat man da auf jeden Fall seine Ruhe. Schöne Anlage mit einem netten Pool. Das Personal war super freundlicher und hilfsbereit. Haben sich um alle Anliegen gekümmert (Safari,Taxi)

In der Minibar war nix und die Getränke Auswahl war sehr beschränkt.

Unser Aufenthalt im Kele Yala war unglaublich schön. Das Personal ist sehr lieb, uns fehlte es an Nichts. Das Essen war der Wahnsinn. Sehr sehr lecker, das beste Esse, dass wir bis jetzt in Sri Lanka hatten. Die Unterkunft ist genau so wie auf den Bildern.Es fehlt einem an Nichts und Sie ist super schön. Ein spezielles Dankeschön auch an "Dissa". Wir würden auf jedenfall wieder kommen.

Le propriétaire se moque du monde. Le prix est exorbitant par rapport a ce qui est proposé. La piscine est impraticable, le confort est limite. Il y a juste le personnel qui essaye de sauver la face.

The property is located in a beautiful area, we watched monkeys, squirrels and many different types of birds from our room. The room itself was great, AC and very comfortable. The staff made us feel very welcome and were very keen to make sure our 9 month old baby had everything she needed which was really appreciated. The pool area at the property was lovely and a great spot to relax after an early morning safari. One of our highlights was the evening meal on the veranda, the food was very tasty and the atmosphere was great. We only stayed for one night here but would have loved to have stayed for longer!

The road up to the property was long and difficult for taxi as potholes had been filled with bricks and rubble making it very bumpy slow drive. Needed more sunbeds. Not much choice for dinner. No alcohol. No lounge or creature comforts in shared area.

Die Lage mitten in der Natur ist toll. Es gab sehr reichhaltiges und leckeres Essen à la carte.Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sauber,zuvorkommendes und sehr freundliches Personal machten die Tage unvergesslich.

We had a wonderful stay at Kele Yala! The property is beautifully located amidst lush greenery and forest surroundings, making it the perfect escape for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The pool is definitely a highlight — surrounded by trees, it feels serene and almost magical. The staff were extremely polite, warm, and helpful throughout our stay. We visited to celebrate our anniversary, and the team truly went out of their way to make it special. They arranged a cake, did a lovely surprise setup, and even played our favorite songs — such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture! Another big plus is the location — it’s very close to one of the entrances of Yala National Park, which makes it very convenient for safaris. Would definitely recommend Kele Yala if you’re looking for a quiet, nature-filled getaway with warm hospitality.

The only small drawback was that the food options were a bit limited and could be improved. Also, we had taken the Full Board package but we were surprised that we got charged for bottled water and soft drinks during our meals.

The surroundings were lovely and the room was beautifully designed. The staff was attentive and helpful. We also enjoyed the dinner experience.

In the middle of the nature in the peace & quiet. Rooms were absolutely gorgeous and comfortable. Staff is friendly, helpful and willing to advise you throughout the stay. Very lovely brekkie & dinner.

Shower was inconvenient. Design is beautiful, but to take a shower the pressure of water was too low 😅 Especially for ladies washing their hair.

- Great location for accessing Yala National park - 20-30 minute drive to main gate - Kind, attentive staff who made our stay unforgettable. Attention to detail was superb and they went out of their way to make a wonderful birthday cake for my partner on short notice. Packed food for our full day safari trip was fantastic. - Kele organised our full day safari - it was a tad on the expensive side but our guide was brilliant and we had a brilliant day. - Clean, very comfortable rooms with no creepy crawlies!

- Upkeep of pool area would have been great; we really wanted to go for a swim but there were lots of little insects in the water - Unfortunately the shower (as beautiful as the design is) was frustrating to use (issue was the pressure- the hot water was fine!)

Kele Yala is a wonderful safari style sanctuary close to Yala National Park's Galge gate. The rooms are beautifully appointed to give you that tented feel, and the birdlife in camp is truly incredible. The infinity pool and whole pool area is so cleverly designed to give you privacy yet look out into the tree canopies. Having run safari's in Africa ourselves it was fantastic to have the most brilliant driver/guide for our all-day safari called Shanka. He was great fun, incredibly knowledgeable and had the eyes of an eagle. So if you have to opportunity, do ask for Shanka! Breakfasts and dinners are served in the spacious dinning tent. The curries are wonderful, cooked by a very good chef, but one portion is definitely enough for two people! Picnic breakfasts and lunches are provided for your full day safari in the park otherwise there is no lunch provided in camp.

Dissa the manager is charming and very new to the job. Having never worked in hospitality before he is very much learning the role. Communication was a little tricky due to his limited English, so details about our all-day safari, the picnic lunch, and what was for breakfast was slightly lost...

Great location, can organise a Safari in advance whereby you are collected at the hotel and it’s not far from the Yala National Park. The food was incredible, room were very clean and nice bathroom. Host were very attentive.

It is a jungle type resort situated about 1 km off the main road in a wooded area. There are about 5 rooms. The rooms are great and very well equipped. Dissa was the resident manager and he took very good care of us. We were on half board and the dinner was fabulous. Its a very green resort. No wifi (off line is the new luxury philosophy) but mobile data connectivity was very good. Since we had an early morning safari, we were given a packed breakfast.

Die unglaublich liebevolle Gastfreundschaft, so etwas haben wir noch nie erlebt. Die Lage war hervorragend: ruhig, fernab der Straßen und dennoch in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Yala-Nationalpark. Wir sind mit einem Kleinkind gereist und das herzliche Team hat sich so liebevoll um unser Kind gekümmert, dass wir unser Essen ganz entspannt genießen konnten. Das Essen selbst war ein Traum, zudem wurde sehr aufmerksam auf Allergien Rücksicht genommen.

Wir verbrachten zwei Nächte im Kele im Yala-Nationalpark und reisten ohne besondere Erwartungen an – doch wir waren überwältigt. Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich und herzlich, das Essen hervorragend und die Zimmer wunderschön eingerichtet. Die sehr abgeschiedene Lage mitten im Yala-Nationalpark verleiht dem Ort einen ganz besonderen Charme und macht ihn perfekt zum Entspannen und Abschalten. Jedes Detail ist mit viel Liebe gestaltet, von safariinspirierten Tierfotografien bis hin zu kleinen Pflanzen und stimmungsvoller Beleuchtung auf dem gesamten Gelände. Das Essen war einfach außergewöhnlich – sowohl die Qualität als auch die Präsentation waren beeindruckend. Das Personal war jederzeit aufmerksam und stets bereit, uns bei jedem Wunsch zu unterstützen. Wir können einen Aufenthalt hier wärmstens empfehlen, wenn man den Yala-Nationalpark besucht. Dieser Ort hat unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht.

这家酒店非常靠近雅拉国家公园，我们选择了早上半天的Safari，因为很近所以可以多睡一会儿5点半出发，并且酒店很贴心的准备了早餐盒子，很丰富。晚上还在酒店员工的指导下，在酒店里Safari，找到了至少3只孔雀和其他两种鸟。员工非常友善，帮助我们解决了我们需要加床的问题。晚饭也非常好吃，中国胃也可以吃的惯。

Great location for exploring Yala national park as well as feeling like your safari experience has started the moment you arrived. Would definitely recommend booking full board as there is nothing around and the food is delicious and very generous portions. Very nice to also have a pool to cool off.

Jerome the property manager tries real hard to make your stay enjoyable. It’s a very peaceful place in a safari type environment. The pool is relaxing and enjoyable. The food was great. And since you are in the middle of nowhere it’s good to plan on having their food. It’s true it’s Sri Lankan food, so be prepared for limited options, but the quality and experience is incredible! We loved it! We felt completely safe eating and drinking what they served us. Which we didn’t always feel that way at other places we stayed at. Very thankful for that! We would totally come back again! It’s worth it for a calm getaway.

The AC units are old so not working too great. But that is able to be fixed easy. And I think they are planning on replacing. It didn’t affect our stay. There is no place to hang up clothes. But we don’t usually hang up clothes. So didn’t affect us. And I think they are sorting it out. They are proactive at making sure things improve. Really refreshing to see that.

The staff were amazing and met all of our needs. They were very friendly and knowledgable about the area. The food was outstanding and gave us a choice each day on what we would like. It was very refreshing to not have wifi and be able to unwind and take in the amazing scenior and be able to listen to the nature. The room was so spacious and decorated beautifully. Jerome organised our private safari which was great as we had nothing to do only turn up at the time organised. We couldnt have asked for any more. 5 star

Das ist ein schöner Ort getan, um abzuschalten. Mitten in der Natur. Es gibt eine Pool, man kann dort zu Abendessen. Sie haben uns auch auf Anfrage einen Obstteller vorbereitet und waren generell sehr behilflich. Auch ist die Lage perfekt um eine Safari im Yala Nationalpark zu machen. Eine Tour kann man im Hotel buchen, es lohnt sich aber auch im Internet nach passenden Angeboten suchen, die Preise sind immer sehr unterschiedlich. Gutes Essen.

Die Anfahrt zum Hotel ist ein bisschen übel, aber passabel. Im Zimmer hat die Klimaanlage nicht richtig funktioniert. Wir wollten abreisen und es kam zu einem unschöneren Vorfall: unser Driver war schon vor Ort. Die Zahlung beim Checkout war sehr, sehr schwerlich, wusste nicht, ob die Zahlung durchgegangen ist, obwohl ich mehrmals gesagt habe, dass dies der Fall war. Wir warteten 30 Minuten. Es waren 5 Männer damit beschäftigt zu schauen, ob die Zahlung geklappt hat. Wir saßen da einfach rum und man kommunizierte gar nicht mehr mit uns. Irgendwann sind wir dann einfach abgereist. Generell schienen uns die Mitarbeiter sehr überfordert und agierten auch ein bisschen chaotisch während unseres ganzen Aufenthalts. Man muss aber dazu sagen, dass sie sich viel Mühe geben, trotzdem glaube ich, sind sie der Arbeit nicht gewachsen.

Everything - the staff are SO kind, especially Anura who went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The food was exceptional, we echo all of the other reviews saying it is the best food we have eaten in Sri Lanka. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable and clean. We loved Kele and will be back!

We had a truly wonderful stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and we immediately felt welcome. The cottage itself was beautiful and comfortable, and the swimming pool was perfect for relaxing. The food was delicious with excellent service to match. One thing we really appreciated is that whenever something wasn’t working, it was fixed right away – really great service! The location in the middle of nature makes it even more special, with many different kinds of birds all around. Don’t let the road leading up to it discourage you; once you arrive, it’s absolutely worth it.

The only downside was the lack of Wi-Fi, but this was easily outweighed by all the positives

Das Kele Yala ist ein absolut außergewöhnliches Hotel in wunderbarer Lage – direkt am Nationalpark, sodass man von hier aus perfekt zu Safaris starten kann. Die exklusive Lage mitten in der Natur sorgt für Ruhe und Entspannung, man fühlt sich fast wie im Dschungel, aber mit einem tollen Gefühl von Exklusivität. Die Zimmer sind sehr gemütlich, stilvoll eingerichtet und blitzsauber. Besonders schön ist der Pool, der zum Entspannen nach einer Safari einlädt. Das Essen war großartig, frisch und abwechslungsreich, und das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich, zuvorkommend und immer bemüht, wirklich alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Ein echtes Highlight für alle, die sowohl Ruhe in der Natur genießen als auch Abenteuer durch Safaris erleben möchten. Absolute Empfehlung!

Kleines Manko: Die Dusche könnte ein wenig stärker/druckvoller sein, aber das liegt an der Wasserfall-Konstruktion und ist Geschmackssache.

Personnel un peu pressant pour le départ des lieux qui demande de sortir de la chambre 15 min avant l'heure du check out de 11h. Safari décevant vu le peu d'animaux observés par rapport au prix très élevé (70 euros par personne) et le chauffeur attendant que le temps tourne, ne communiquant pas. Tout cela est dû à un fonctionnement "usine" de ce parc.

Place is gorgeous. Pool is awesome. Creative designs in the room really makes you feel like you’re outdoors on a safari. Staff is very kind, helpful and fun. The chef needs special recognition because we had a full board and the food was sublime each and every time.

There isn’t really a wardrobe available in the room to hang up your clothes. And the shower head, however very creative and cute, wasn’t really pleasant to use since there was just a single stream of water.

Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich, der Service war top. Das Menü ist vorgegeben, aber das Essen war lecker.

Die Anlage ist sehr abgelegen und in die Jahre gekommen. Es gab nur Wasser zu trinken. Das hätten wir gerne vorher gewusst, dann hätten wir uns selbst Getränke mitgebracht. Kein W-Lan. Abends gab es absolut nichts zu tun. Der Pool war etwas trüb. Daher haben wir uns in der brütenden Hitze nach der Safari lieber nur halbstündlich abgeduscht. Insgesamt war es die teuerste Unterkunft auf unserer Rundreise und gleichzeitig die Enttäuschendste. Wir haben uns von den vielen positiven Bewertungen verführen lassen, die wir nicht recht nachvollziehen können. Guter Ausgangspunkt für die Safaris in Yala. Mehr leider nicht. Wir hatten viel komfortablere und gleichzeitig deutlich günstigere Übernachtungen in Sri Lanka!

Apart from Nadi, no one else spoke English so it was quite hard to communicate our needs. No service around the pool and as we were the only ones at the hotel during the second day, we felt quite neglected. Very expensive for what it offers.

Sehr ruhige Lage, kein Verkehrslärm, kein Hundegebell. Die Unterkunft ist ausgesprochen oekologisch ausgerichtet. Das fällt in der parkartigen Umgebung und bei der originellen Zimmereinrichtung auf. Die räumlichen Verhältnisse des Zimmers mit hübscher Veranda sind sehr grosszügig Die Ambiance des gedeckten, offenen Speiseraumes hat uns sehr gefallen. Dort haben wir ein feines Abendessen und ein eher durchschnittliches Frühstück eingenommen. Die Unterkunft hat, abgesehen von der Zufahrt, eine günstige Lage zum Nationalparkeingang.

Die Zufahrt (gegen 2 km lang) ist eine holperige Naturstrasse, die sehr langsam befahren werden muss. Im Zimmer vermissten wir einen Schrank und generell Stauraum. Schubladen fehlten gänzlich. Für die Kleider standen kaum Aufhängevorrichtungen zur Verfügung. Kopfschütteln löste dafür ein überdimensioniertes Möbelstück aus, in dem der Kühlschrank sozusagen versteckt war. Mangelhaft war auch die Beleuchtung der Räume und die Ausstattung mit Steckdosen. Das kann man allenfalls als romantisch empfinden, aber praktisch ist es nicht. Den Preis halten wir als zu hoch.

Отличное расположение! До парка минут 10 на машине. Помогли организовать сафари❤️ персонал очень отзывчивый! Завтраки вкусные! Было отключение электричества, но нашей вилле поставили генератор. Нет интернета, но это много где в этом месте, всё-таки парк рядом. Номера красивые и просторные. Восторг❤️ территория красивая, ночью прямо сказка🥰

El alojamiento en sí es espectacular. Estás en medio del parque natural de Yala, ideal para hacer un safari. Nuestra habitación era realmente grande, con un baño enorme aunque muy caluroso. La piscina es pequeña pero darte un baño en medio de la naturaleza no tiene precio. Disponen de unas linternas para cuando se oculta el sol.

Al estar alejado de todo, no puedes hacer nada alrededor. El hotel dispone de restaurante con poca variedad, pero platos muy abundantes y ricos. Nosotros hicimos un safari que salía muy muy temprano y no pudimos disfrutar de un buen desayuno (nos prepararon algo para llevar, pero no tiene nada que ver). A aquellos que no les guste mucho el contacto con la naturaleza, quizá no sea el mejor hotel, pues hay algunos animales y te recomiendan que por la noche no salgas sólo de la habitación por seguridad.

Super großes Zimmer und tolles Bad. Leckeres Abendessen und auch ein Lunchpaket auf Anfrage für die Tages-Safari. Der Manager hat sich sehr professionell um seine Gäste gekümmert. Ein schöner Pool lieferte Abkühlung nach einer Tagessafari.

Die Wasserzufuhr im Bad hatte ihre Probleme, entweder es kam wenig Wasser oder keins.

Die Straße zur Unterkunft ist sehr sehr schlecht. Die Safari in den Yala Nationalpark war enttäuschend

Very well presented & spacious rooms. Really nice breakfasts & evening meal. Staff were so friendly and helpful.

Poor weather meant we couldn’t take advantage of the swimming pool. The track to the property is a little bumpy.

Spacious room. The hotel complex right in the middle of the forest, sound of nature in the evenings. Nice food, good service.

Great location, very near to Yala National Park. Tidy room, and very spacious. Evening meal was delicious and the staff were really welcoming and helpful. The staff also arranged a private Safari for us, which was great values for money and the driver was brilliant - would recommend!

Overall, we had amazing stay. However, one small thing to mention, we were woken up in the early hours by monkeys on the roof. This of course can’t be helped by the hotel, however good to know if you are staying so you aren’t startled.

Foto’s komen niet overeen, heel vies matras, het is niet in het park, hadden grote kamer geboekt maar deze vergeven. Je moet je eigen drinken meenemen.

Очень уютный отель, классно расположен около бокового гейта в Ялу. Совершенно чудесный менеджер, Nadih, который во всем помогал и окружал заботой! А и еще - берите сафари от отеля- они следят за качеством водителей!
