South Safari Lodge

Wir wurden mit einem Begrüßungsdrink sehr herzlich empfangen. Wir hatten eine wunderbare, sehr liebevoll ausgestatte, Suite. Die Lage ist absolut naturnah. Das Diner und auch das Frühstück waren erstklassig. Morgens haben uns Gnus besucht. Das gesamte Personal und auch der Lodge-Besitzer, der sich uns kurz vorgestellt hat, waren überaus freundlich. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Eine TOP-Empfehlung.

Il lodge è composto da poche camere in strutture tutte indipendenti l'una dall'altra, molto spaziose, pulite, ben arredate e fornite di tutto il necessario. Lo staff è molto gentile e disponibile per qualsiasi esigenza. Posizione abbastanza comoda per raggiungere il Kruger (circa 20 minuti di auto). In caso di partenze per safari all'alba provvedono a fornire un piccolo box in sostituzione della colazione.

La strada per arrivare è sterrata e piuttosto disconnessa. Se optate per il pacchetto pensione completa non c'è possibilità di scegliere la cena che si compone di un singolo piatto unico (con possibilità di scegliere opzione vegetariana) e si mangia insieme agli altri ospiti del lodge in un grande tavolo condiviso.

Nossa estadia no South Safari Lodge foi simplesmente inesquecível! O lodge é impecável: tudo muito limpo, organizado e extremamente bem cuidado. A localização é perfeita, em um lugar tranquilo e cercado pela natureza, proporcionando uma experiência única. Um agradecimento mais do que especial à Ivana, Linda e Nomvula. Vocês tornaram nossa viagem ainda mais especial com tanta atenção, alegria, carinho, cuidado e dedicação. Nos sentimos verdadeiramente acolhidos do início ao fim. E como se tudo isso não bastasse, a quantidade de animais que vimos dentro do lodge e nos arredores foi impressionante! Acordar e terminar o dia observando a vida selvagem tão de perto foi uma experiência que levaremos para sempre em nossos corações. Recomendamos o South Safari Lodge de olhos fechados. Se um dia voltarmos à África do Sul, com certeza será a nossa escolha novamente. Muito obrigado por proporcionarem momentos tão especiais!

My son says this is the best accommodation in the world. The bungalows are very spacious, I did not expect that, very nice dinner prepared by the staff, the chef was super friendly and fun. We saw an impala, a kudu and some warthogs wandering around, which was super cool. Very nice breakfast box for our game drive. And very responsive to messages, once we have reserved. The staff was quick to respond to my messages and help me organize our activities.

We have been Here three nights. Very friendly staff, good food and close to Kruger Park. We have seen a giraffe 1 minute from the lodge.

Everything was just perfect, this place is incredible, the rooms have a lot of space, the bed and pillows are so confortable, and the nature and animals around are the most amazing thing ever, staying in south safari was our best choice and de best hotel we ever been. The people there are so heartwarming and amazing, we hope to comeback there someday.

I can confidently say this is the perfect place to stay. From beginning to end, everything works perfectly. The room is extremely comfortable, the bed is great, the shower is excellent, and everything is very clean and cozy. You can book without any worries if you are visiting Kruger National Park, because the lodge can arrange all the tours and transfers you may need for extra prices, including airport transfers. I would especially like to highlight the exceptional service provided by Ivana, who works in the reservations department and does an amazing job organizing the guests’ itineraries and activities. Everything was perfectly arranged and made the experience completely stress-free. I would also like to mention Linda, who works in the kitchen and does a fantastic job as well. The meals are delicious and very well served. I would come back a thousand times. I felt truly welcomed and comfortable in this place, and they genuinely know how to treat people well. It was an exemplary stay, and I truly hope to come back someday.

10/10 – Perfekter Aufenthalt mitten in der Natur Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in der South Safari Lodge und können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Linda, Ivana und das gesamte Team haben alles dafür getan, dass wir uns vom ersten bis zum letzten Tag wohlgefühlt haben. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und wir haben uns vor Ort auch für das Abendessen entschieden – eine Entscheidung, die wir nicht bereut haben. Die Gerichte wurden von Linda frisch zubereitet und waren jeden Abend hervorragend. Unser Bungalow war genau so, wie wir ihn uns vorgestellt hatten: mitten in der Natur und umgeben von Tieren. Täglich konnten wir Affen, Warzenschweine und Impalas direkt an der Unterkunft beobachten. Für Tierliebhaber und alle, die Ruhe und Entspannung suchen, ist dies der perfekte Ort. Sowohl in der Unterkunft als auch im Marloth Park haben wir uns jederzeit sehr wohl und sicher gefühlt. Praktisch ist außerdem, dass es im Marloth Park ein Restaurant, Supermärkte und eine Tankstelle gibt. Wer hierher reist, sollte bedenken, dass man mitten im Busch und in der Natur wohnt und nicht in einem sterilen Fünf-Sterne-Hotel. Daher gehören gelegentlich auch einmal eine Motte, ein paar Ameisen oder andere kleine Besucher dazu. Für uns hat genau das den besonderen Charme dieses authentischen Safari-Erlebnisses ausgemacht. Ein weiterer großer Vorteil ist die Lage zum Kruger-Nationalpark. Das Crocodile Bridge Gate ist mit dem Auto in etwa 20 Minuten erreichbar. Die Anfahrt ist sehr unkompliziert – man muss praktisch nur zweimal abbiegen und fährt ansonsten fast die gesamte Strecke geradeaus. Dadurch eignet sich die Lodge hervorragend als Ausgangspunkt für frühe Safaris im Kruger-Nationalpark. Vielen Dank an Linda, Ivana und das gesamte Team für die herzliche Gastfreundschaft. Tudo! Tudo foi perfeito, a equipe fantástica, o atendimento esplêndido da Linda e da Ivana, a gastronomia excepcional com a melhor batata que já comemos, a nossa experiência foi fantástica, único arrependimento foi ter ficado so dois dias, com certeza iremos voltar!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at South Safari Lodge! The staff were exceptional and made our experience truly special. Ivana did an outstanding job looking after us—nothing was ever too much trouble, and her warmth and attention to detail really stood out. The wildlife sightings were unforgettable. We saw wildebeest coming right up near the fire, as well as bush pigs, monkeys, impala, guinea fowl, and even giraffes—an incredible experience! We would also highly recommend the spa package, where they come to your lodge to give you a relaxing destress massage, and the safari at Kruger National Park with Reinhart was amazing. The team went above and beyond by decorating the dining area for my brother’s birthday and completely spoiling us. It was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. Linda’s cooking was amazing—every meal was delicious—and Sibu did a fantastic job maintaining the property, keeping everything in perfect condition. Overall, an unforgettable stay. We would highly recommend South Safari Lodge to anyone looking for a truly special safari experience!

Would recommend having a 4x4, as the road approaching the property is a dirt track and can be a bit tricky.

Voir des animaux partout autour du lodge a été une expérience incroyable : on a pris le petit déjeuner avec des zèbres et des girafes juste à côté, le dîner et le feu de camp entourés de gnous, et même au bord de la piscine on voyait des élans passer tranquillement. Les photos et descriptions ne mentent pas, l’immersion est totale. L’endroit est magnifique, très bien entretenu et vraiment dépaysant. Le service était parfait du début à la fin, tout le personnel est génial, attentionné et toujours souriant. Le dîner et le petit déjeuner étaient exceptionnels, dignes d’un très bon restaurant. Franchement une expérience mémorable.

Nur 3 Bungalows Außergewöhnlich ruhig, auch Nachts. Küchenpersonal Essen soweit OK Tiere kommen bis in die Lodge, sind jedoch angefüttert.

Anfahrt , Google map stimmt nicht. Wege im Marloth Park sind sehr abenteuerlich, zum Teil mit normalem PKW nicht befahrbar. Nicht auszudenken bei Regen. Die allgemeine Sauberkeit. Badezimmer Toilette verliert Wasser, es sind braune Wasserflecken auf den Fliesen,d.h.Problem besteht seit längerem. Pool nicht nutzbar, schmutzig, Pumpe ohne Funktion.Wurde erst am Abreisetag gereinigt. Internet Ausschlag vom Router bis zum Anschlag, jedoch kamen keine Daten an.Absolut nicht nutzbar. Beim Abendessen keine Getränkekarte verfügbar.Niema d wusste was es gibt und was es kostet. Managerin Ivana fast nie anwesend und bei Fragen kurz angebunden. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt enttäuschend und kann nicht weiter empfohlen werden.

We hebben enorm genoten van het plekje: rondlopende dieren in de "tuin": zebra's, gnoes, wharthogs. We werden zeer warm onthaald met een drankje. Het eten was voortreffelijk en kok Linda maakte er echt een feestje van. Er was een vuurtje aan waar we rondom konden zitten met een drankje. De entree gate voor het Kruger is vlakbij. Goede bedden, mooie klamboe en heerlijke douche. Het ontbijt was ook uitgebreid en goed. Echt jammer dat we er maar 1 nacht waren.

Heel jammer dat we hier maar 1 nacht verbleven i.v.m. met ons reisschema. De bewegwijzering was matig. Het laatste stukje is een kleine gravelroad en is even zoeken, zeker als het schemerig/donker is. Maar eenmaal gevonden is het echt een paradijsje!

Wir hatten hier einen sehr erholsamen Aufenthalt in einer sehr schönen und geräumigen Unterkunft. Sie war gut ausgestattet und es fehlte an nichts. Linda und Ihr Küchenteam haben uns ausgezeichnet bekocht und auch Ivana und Ihr Team war superfreundlich und stets hilfsbereit. Die Lage zum Krügerpark ist sehr gut und selbst hier gab es Zebras, Gnus und Warzenschweine auf dem Gelände

Il lodge è meraviglioso, ben integrato con l’ambiente in cui si trova, tant’è che potreste cenare in compagnia di qualche animaletto del posto ma non vi spoilero nulla! Offre inoltre un sacco di attività e non ci si annoia veramente mai! Ci hanno stupito i sorrisi e l’accoglienza del personale, persone meravigliose che porteremo nei nostri cuori! vicino al crocodile bridge, è il luogo perfetto se state cercando un alloggio comodo per i safari.

Tolle Lage mit super netten Menschen. Wir empfehlen es jedem weiter, der nah am Kruger Park sein möchte und dabei eine private ruhige Atmosphäre genießen möchte.

Great location in the middle of Marloth Park and close to Crocodile Gate Bridge (entry to Kruger Park). Very spacious lodge, comfortable bed and nice pool area. Good communication with the hosts who were always helpful and supportive. They helped me book two safaris into the Kruger Park which were amazing.

Food is tasty, but quite simple. No meal options were provided, just dietary restrictions asked.

Le safari organisé par Ivana était super : vu beaucoup d’animaux (dont lions et rhinocéros) Les repas étaient excellents et le personnel aux petits soins N’hésitez pas à demander des conseils à Ivana pour les activités dans la région et les safaris.

Such a lovely stay! The staff were super nice and helpful, from our arrival we were greeted with ice tea and received clean towels everyday. The room was exceptional just as the pictures. They even accommodated us with snack packs for when we left super early for the Kruger and would’ve missed breakfast. EXCELLENT!!

Not extremely self catering but everything is there to have a braai. And they do offer dinners with them which is very convenient as we got back late and still had to braai. They have cutlery, crockery, braai, fridge and microwave which is all you really need

Wat een prachtige plek! René en zijn team waren enorm behulpzaam en we hebben super lekker en gezellig gegeten. De dieren kwamen uit onverwachtse hoek en zorgen ook voor een safari gevoel in de lodge. Afstand tot het Kruger is fijn en de safari werd bij aankomst door de accommodatie geregeld.

Un cadre incroyable ! se balader près de son lodge et rencontrer des kudu , des zèbres et des girafes , wawww c'était incroyable; Les lodges sont vraiment bien , propres et spacieux. Nous avons adoré le personnel qui s'est montré très agréable et patient ( car nous n'étions pas des pros de l'anglais). Le Repas était très bien . Nous avions pu nous rendre facilement au Kruger. Aucune fausse note , nos vacances étaient parfaites !

This lodge is a hidden gem. We spent here only one night on our way from Kruger park, however, next time i would definitely spend here much more time. Starting with warm welcome upon our arrival, very friendly people running the lodge gives the atmosphere for you to feel like at home, well equipped lodge, great pool area and amazing food - we had here the best steak (and we tried A LOT of steaks during our trip in ZA), that was really outstanding one! And all the antelopes and Pumbaas walking around lodge make it even more special place :) thank you for that!

We had the most lovely stay at South Safari Lodge. The units are beautifully decorated and very clean. The staff were amazing and very friendly. We really appreciated all the additional services provided - small gestures that made such a difference to us! We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent—only about 20 minutes from the Kruger National Park’s Crocodile Bridge Gate. You can see plenty of wildlife in and around the property. The food was outstanding, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, the lunch pack provided for early morning safari departures includes only a few snacks. A sandwich or something more substantial would be a great improvement.

Wir sind abends nach einem Tag im Krüger Nationalpark angekommen. Es wurde sich fantastisch um unser leibliches Wohl gesorgt. Uns wurde ein sehr leckeres Abendessen im wunderschönen Außenbereich serviert. Die Unterkunft bietet alles, was man für eine erholsame Auszeit benötigt und ist sehr familiär. Die Bungalows sind sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Der Gastgeberin ist ein fürsorglicher, persönlicher Umgang wichtig.

Lovely accomodation set in Marloth Park with close access to Kruger National Park. The staff are exceptional and make the stay feel even more special. Lots of animals roaming around and coming into the accomodation. We would definitely recommend the half board options the food cooked by the chef is excellent.

Marloth Park is very special with wildlife at your doorstep. South Safari Lodge makes good use of that as the manager brings in lusern for the antelope that have been finding the current drought conditions difficult. There was even a resident genet. The chalet accommodation was very comfortable with a large bed, small kitchenette, dining area and good air conditioning. The pool area was very attractive with poolside drinks. The evening meal and breakfast were both good and the manager was interesting and helpful.

Wildtiere werden hier gefüttert

Man ist direkt in der Natur und sieht viele Tiere, das ist echt beeindruckend. Rene hat mit uns einen tollen Fence Drive gemacht. Die Lage zum Kruger ist sehr gut und wir hatten im Vorfeld über Rene die Game drives gebucht, die ganz toll waren. Es ist ein echtes Erlebnis hier zu übernachten.

Es gibt viele Insekten (aber das ist natürlich völlig klar in der Natur). Das Wasser im Waschbecken ist nicht gut abgelaufen, das war etwas unangenehm. Die Transfers zum Flughafen sind verhältnismäßig teuer.

Tolle Lage, in diesem Park laufen die Tiere frei rum. Beim Abendessen oder Frühstück kommen schon mal ein Kudu, Gnu oder andere Tier vorbei. Sehr nette Gastgeber, wären gerne länger geblieben.

Die Bungalows sieht schön und sauber, das Personal ist nett und hilfsbereit, das Abendessen war top und das beste, du bist schon fast auf halber Safari. Die Tieren kommen in die Unterkunft und du erlebst sie hautnah. Marloth Park und die South Safari lodge würde ich auf jeden Fall direkt wieder besuchen!

Linda die Managerin und Karol die Köchin haben sich bestens um uns gekümmert - so herzlich. Die Lodges sind super schön eingerichtet, man fühlt sich einfach wohl. Wir würden immer wieder kommen.

The manager was so friendly. One of us didn't feel good during the stay and she went out of her way taking care of him. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The pool and fire area were a nice touch.

Super vriendelijk! Nette kamer met alles wat je nodig hebt Mooie omgeving Tips en tricks van de host waardoor we veel gezien hebben.

We waren daar als enige koppel wat maakt dat de bar niet open was waardoor je niet gaat en vroeg naar de kamer gaat, het was er enorm stil, in de vorm van niets te doen. Ik miste de ambiance en gezelligheid die we in de eerdere reviews gelezen hadden.

- perfect location with wildlife roaming around the entire park. Being able to see giraffe, wildebeest, kudu, warthogs, right out your doorstep is truly wonderful. - the pictures don't do it justice. What a beautiful place and so much attention to detail, especially the decor in the chalets - a walking distance to the crocodile river where you get breathtaking views. Went on a fence drive and it was spectacular - received a very warm welcome from Mama Lin and she makes you feel right at home. Chef Carol kept us fed with exceptionally cooked food. The entire staff was truly amazing. - checked in on 03 Oct (my birthday) and met 2 lovely couples. Young couple from Belgium and Elderly couple from Balitto...we had such great conversations - definitely worth visiting multiple times. Value for money indeed!

Lindi and her team provided a wonderful experience, so friendly yet professional, that made our 8 day stay a fabulous one. Great facilities, clean with very comfy beds and hot showers, peaceful, all things needed after a hot day animal spotting! We selected to have breakfast and evening meals included, and they were delicious, every evening a different menu. Only a 20 min drive to Crocdile Bridge Gate, if doing a self drive or game drives collect from the Lodge when booked effortlessly through Lindi. Emails answered very quickly, with questions I had in the months preceding our stay. Highly recommend anyone to stay at South Safari Lodge. You won't be disappointed, I'm just so pleased I found it. Thank you and the team again for my impromptu birthday celebrations, very thoughtful, kind and a memorable evening.

Не хватает электрического полотенцесушителя. Вещи (носки) не сохнут неделями 😄 Не знали, что напитки не включены в стоимость, но это ерунда заплатили совсем немного.

Struttura perfetta. È stata una bellissima esperienza soprattutto per le incursioni degli animali che tranquillamente artivano al lodge. Camera spaziosa,arredata con gusto, letto comodissimo e pulizia impeccabile. La signora che gestisce ed il personale gentilissimi e disponibili. Colazione e cena sempre vari e molto ben curato. Superbe lodge a l’accueil attentionné et personnalisé. Les chambres sont bien décorées et le coin piscine est très agréable et vous serez à 20min de la Crocodile bridge gate et 40min de la Malalane gate. Personnel et hôte adorables.

Im Mai bereits dort gewesen. Es stand fest, dass ich keine andere aufsuchen werde. Die Lodge lebt von den Mitarbeitern. Der Empfang ist sehr familiär und freundschaftlich. Rene ist ein super Gastgeber, freundlich hilfsbereit und einfach authentisch. Carol ist eine so warmherzige, freundliche Person und beköstigt die Gäste mit viel Liebe 🤗 Sanele und Zabo sind immer freundlich und für Gäste da. Linda ist neu dabei und kümmert sich auch sehr gut um die Gäste und die Lodge. Die Lodge selbst ist für mich Spitze. Authentisch, sehr sauber, hat alles was man braucht. Kein Schnickschnack, dafür Afrika pur. Klar, man kann immer was bemängeln oder aber einfach genießen. Preis / Leistung ist mehr als top. 100% Weiterempfehlung. Die Chalets sind groß und in gutem Zustand. Pool ist sehr gepflegt. Die Tiere die zu Besuch kommen sind immer wieder besonders. Kudus, Pumbas, sind die häufigsten Gäste, aber auch Buschböcke, Bushbabys und Zebras sind zu da. Boma am Abend steht jedem frei und wird gerne angenommen. Und nein, ich besitze keine Anteile dort. Es ist für mich nur ein traumhafter Ort und gesetzt für Marloth Park. Mag sein, dass es edlere Lodges gibt dort und welche mit mehr Luxus. Sicher aber nicht mit mehr ehrlicher Herzlichkeit. Die Lodge ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet, äußerst gepflegt und überzeugt durch ihre Sauberkeit. Die Gastgeber sind außergewöhnlich freundlich und zuvorkommend, sodass man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist hervorragend. Die Lage ist ideal für Safaris im Kruger Nationalpark. Ein besonderes Highlight: Auf dem Lodge-Gelände kann man faszinierende Begegnungen mit Kudus, Warzenschweinen, Affen und sogar Buschbabys erleben.

Nous avons adoré le temps passé dans ce Lodge L’accueil était très chaleureux, toute l’équipe était aux petits soins pour nous Les dîners étaient très bons Le cadre, l’environnement et la chambre étaient très agréables

Le petit déjeuner à emporter était malheureusement bien en dessous de nos attentes (une brique de jus de fruit, une orange, et paquet de gâteaux industriels).. Nous n’avons pas eu d’eau chaude pour la douche le dernier jour

Lloc realment preciós, la Linday una amfitriona excepcional i la cuinera Carol ens va fer un sopar fantàstic en un entorn inilvidable amb animals que s acostaven a l allotjament… Ho recordarem tota la vida
