Kruger Riverside Lodge - No Load-shedding

Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, im Garten sind sehr ihr Wildtiere zu sehen. Das Essen war immer sehr gut. Wir haben 2 Split-Day-Safaris mit der Unterkunft gemacht - es war einfach traumhaft. Man bekommt ein großes Frühstücks-Paket mit zur Safari und erhält Mittag ein warmes Mittagessen in der Unterkunft. Die Guides waren beidemale super. Wir würden wieder eine Safari buchen! Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Aufenthalt.

The hospitality was amazing, we felt like we got home. The location is beautiful and comfortable and the food was so good and we recommend anyone that is looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay here.

We had an unforgettable time at this unique place! Of course the biggest highlights were our Safaris to the Kruger park with the very knowledgeable guides James and Evan.We recommend the split day safari as you can maximize your sightings and still have a break during the long day full of impressions. Back at the lodge we were always welcomed by home-made meals and a cosy bonfire. The rooms were clean and there's wildlife literally beside your balcony! The hosts were very friendly, attentive and flexible all the time.

FYI the sunset tour is not a Safari but a short drive to a sunset spot at the river if you're interested in that. The food was nice and always had a veggie alternative if pre-ordered, but was a little repetitive after three days.

Unser Zimmer an sich war schön aber vielleicht etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Trotzdem würden wir die Unterkunft auf jedenfall weiterempfehlen.

Voor deze prijs, zo'n mooie kamer, mooie lodge, geweldig personeel, fantastisch eten wat inbegrepen was is echt de beste prijs-kwaliteit verhouding ooit. Game drives waren ook top geregeld. Ze hadden zelfs onze auto gewassen voor vertrek. Wilde dieren op bezoek in de tuin. De ligging direct tegenover Kruger waardoor je langs de rivier kon wandelen en nijlpaarden, olifanten, giraffen etc kon zien. Echt geweldig.

Safari zum Krüger NP incl. Lunch. Konnten wir auch kurzfristig buchen. War ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Abendessen und Mittagessen war einfach, aber sehr lecker. Frühstück konnte man zwischen 3 Optionen wählen.

Haartrockner war versteckt.

Die Lodge liegt perfekt an der Grenze zum Kruger Nationalpark (Crocodile Bridge Gate). Das Personal ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das vegetarische Essen beim Frühstück sowie Abendessen war kein Problem. Auch die Essensboxen, die man als Ersatz für das Frühstück vor Ort auf Safari mitnehmen kann, sind reichhaltig und liebevoll gepackt. Am Tag der Abreise wurde uns sogar das von der Safari schmutzige Auto kostenlos gewaschen. Das Zimmer ist sauber, das Bad schon in die Jahre gekommen, was Optik angeht. Wir haben einen Game Drive über die Lodge besucht und auch dieser war grandios mit einem sehr kompetenten und freundlichen Guide.

Man sollte sich bewusst sein, dass jegliche Mahlzeiten (Frühstück, Mittagessen, Abendessen) mit allen Gästen zusammen eingenommen werden. Bei einem längeren Aufenthalt, wechseln die Gäste natürlich, sodass man sich täglich auf neue Gäste beim Essen einlassen muss, das empfanden wir teilweise als anstrengend. Hierfür kann die Lodge nichts, aber man muss es sich-bei dem Konzept der Lodge-einfach bewusst sein.

We were a family of 9 adults. Everyone enjoyed their stay. Esti greeted us and explained everything. The staff were awesome, so friendly and efficient. The meals were superb, so fresh and tasty. The rooms are all so clean, unique and comfortable. And of course seeing animals on the property was a bonus.

There was nothing that could have been better except.the road leading to the property.

The accommodation was so lovely. The room was beautifully presented with great attention to detail. The Lodge has a beautiful outlook and overlooks the Crocodile River. The owners are charming and staff so friendly and attentive. The breakfasts and dinners were outstanding.

They charged us a fee for food that was included in our booking and I have tried to get in touch with them but they haven’t heard back.

Tout : - l’accueil et la gentillesse de tout le personnel Sans rien leur demander, ils ont lavé notre voiture qui était toute sale au retour du Kruger 🙏🏻❤️ - nous avions les 2 chambres du « bâtiment annexe » et nous sentions « chez nous » avec « notre » terrasse privée, « notre » cuisine, « notre » salle à manger. - la beauté et le confort des chambres, de la table pour les repas,… - les repas au top 👌🏻 - les animaux qui entrent dans le jardin, la vue sur le parc Kruger et la possibilité de faire des balades sympas en longeant la rivière

We had an amazing stay at this lodge and would highly recommend it. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. It was the perfect place to relax after exciting days exploring the area. One of the highlights of our stay was sharing meals around the same table with the other guests. It created a warm, friendly atmosphere and gave us the opportunity to meet people from different parts of the world and share stories from our safari experiences. We also loved seeing zebras and other wildlife wandering freely around the lodge. It made the whole experience feel truly special and brought us even closer to nature. Thank you to the wonderful staff for your hospitality and for making our stay so memorable. We would be delighted to return one day.

We had a wonderful experience at the lodge. The location, food, rooms and facilities, service, and staff were outstanding! Animals all around, including bush babies! Great view of the river. Will definitely go back!

Great rooms, location, and team. The rooms were very comfortable, the food was wonderful, you can see the river and walk around, which was a nice alternative to being in the park and you couldn't walk much or at all. Lots of friendly animals about (monkeys kudus, bushbucks, guinea fowl, bushbabies, etc).

Just a note for the introverts out there, meals are served communally. Dinner was delicious, but be prepared to talk to strangers :)

Ein überaus freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal empfängt den Gast in einer tollen Location. Das Frühstück und Abendessen waren super, besonders in Gesellschaft mit Gnus , Zebras, Buschböcken und Kudus. Ein Höhepunkt war der Besuch von Buschbabies . Auf Wanderungen am Zaun zum Krügernationalpark konnte man Hippos und Elefantenherden beobachten , ohne einen stressigen Gamedrive zu absolvieren.

I really like the opportunity to see zebra, antilopes, giraffes and kudos while having breakfast, lunch or dinner. I stayed in the penthouse and it was great! I wish I had more than 2 nights there. All the staff were amazingly friendly, kudos to Esti, who always took care of us, Martin and Tian for the incredible game drives and photos and all the guys who cooked and served us and cleaned our car, they were SUPER!!! I want to return so bad!! Thank you all!!!

Alles war perfekt! Für uns war es der absolut wunderschönste Abschluss unserer Reise. Noch nie habe ich so einen tollen Service erlebt. Die Zimmer waren wunderschön und das Essen hervorragend. Die Safari, die dort gebucht werden kann, ist einfach Wahnsinn! Die Safari in der Krüger Riverside Lodge war der Hammer! Unser Guide Tiaan weiß genau, was er macht, und hat wirklich alle Tiere gefunden. Er erzählte uns viel über die einzelnen Tiere und gab sein ganzes Wissen weiter. Diese Unterkunft ist für mich etwas ganz Besonderes. Von Anfang bis Ende hat einfach alles gepasst – es war der Wahnsinn. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Personal für diese unvergessliche Zeit! Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen und erneut mit Tiaan auf Safari gehen. 🦁🐘🥰

Could have stayed here forever. I absolutely fell in love with South Africa during our stay. The lodge is the perfect balance of luxury and wilderness, with kudu and impalas often wandering right past your door. The food was always fresh by the sweetest chef, but the real highlight was the game drive. Our guide, Tiaan, was incredibly charismatic, funny, and so knowledgeable; he made our drive entertaining from start to finish, and his accent only added to his charm. You could genuinely listen to him talk for hours. Martin was also fantastic, with the most unbelievable wildlife encounter stories. An unforgettable experience from beginning to end.

Die Lage ist einfach super wenn man eine Safari machen möchte im KNP. Zudem befindet sie sich im Marloth Park wo sich schon hier Tiere aufhalten. An der Grenze zum Crocodile River befinden sich Bänke, von wo aus man ganz toll die Tiere beobachten kann. Alles wird von Esti, der sehr sympathischen Hotelmanagerin, super organisiert, ob eine Abendsafari oder Ganztages Safari, man brauch sich um nichts kümmern. Man isst mit den anderen Gästen zusammen zu Abend. Man kann aber auch sich ganz privat zurückziehen und dort sein Essen geniessen.

Nous avons choisi cet hôtel pour passer notre séjour de lune de miel. Nous avons adoré cet établissement non seulement pour un emplacement exceptionnel, mais aussi pour son staff chaleureux et accueillant. L’hôtel nous a même offert des roses sublimes du champagne et du chocolat pour notre lune de miel ! Il propose des sorties très abordables avec des guides connaisseurs, et grâce à eux, nous avons pu voir la majorité des animaux présents dans le parc Kruger. Nous avons dîné également dans le même établissement. Tout était parfait. Nous recommandons cet établissement vivement et espérant y retourner un jour ❤️ merci à tout le staff de l’hôtel pour leur hospitalité

Das freundliche und stets hilfsbereite Personal. Die gemeinsamen Abendessen auf der Terrasse mit anschließendem Dessert am Lagerfeuer. Beim Essen wird auch auf Allergien/Befindlichkeiten Rücksicht genommen. Die Split Day Safari ist auch wirklich zu empfehlen und auch toll und auch hier wird für jeden ein reichhaltiges Verpflegungspaket bereitgestellt.

Wij hebben een geweldige tijd gehad in Kruger Riverside Lodge. Kamer was fijn, badkamer groot, het eten was geweldig verzorgd en je kon drinken pakken uit de koelkast. Tegen de avond komer er diverse dieren eten bij de lodge. Op de laatste dag werd onze auto ook nog van binnen en buiten gewassen, dank daarvoor. Personeel en Etsy, bedankt voor alle goede zorgen en hopen nogmaals een keer terug te mogen komen..

Pequeno almoço excelente tanto em qualidade como em quantidade. Gostei da presença constante de animais dentro do Lodge como zebras , Kudus, impalas e outros animais.

Tudo estava perfeito.

L’accueil, le petit dej sur mesure, la boîte fraîcheur avec plain de bonnes choses pour partir au lever du soleil en safari, la situation juste à côté de Crocodile River et à 15 minutes du parc Kruger. L’attention du personnel quant au petit café laissé à notre attention tôt le matin et au nettoyage de notre voiture de location à la fin de notre séjour. La gentillesse d’Esti pour l’organisation des différentes sorties (safari, croisière…)

O alojamento é muito simples, mas super confortável. Adorámos o conceito de jantar servido numa só mesa em que pudemos conhecer os outros hóspedes e beneficiar de uma noite animada. Tudo é preparado com cuidado e bom gosto. O quarto era espaçoso, com todas as comodidades e cama muito confortável. O duche do nosso quarto era absolutamente maravilhoso.

Gostámos de tudo. Talvez a qualidade do Wi-Fi possa melhorar.

Eine fantastische Unterkunft mitten im Busch. Alle Mitarbeiter waren jederzeit super freundlich und hilfsbereit- Esti ist die „gute Seele“ des Hauses und jederzeit für Fragen da. Das Zimmer war tadellos sauber und die Aussendusche war unser Highlight. Unsere Tagessafari mit Oscar hätte nicht besser sein können. Es war ein relativ ruhiger Tag, dennoch sahen wir Giraffen, Elefanten, Büffel und viele andere Tiere. Er gab nicht auf und wollte uns noch unbedingt etwas Besonderes zeigen, fuhr immer andere Wege und kommunizierte mit anderen Guides sodass wir am Ende das Glück hatten, Geparden zu sehen. Alles in allem 11 / 10 🙂🙂🙂

Our stay at Riverside Lodge exceeded all expectations. Esti truly goes above and beyond, helping with everything from booking safaris to even getting painkillers when needed. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Do yourself a favor and book your safaris at the hotel with Tian. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, but he also has an amazing ability to find all the animals. A big thank you to the whole team for making our trip unforgettable!

Localisation idéale en bordure du parc. Chambres très confortables, belle douche, joli (et pratique) mobilier, superbe terrasse donnant sur le jardin et le fleuve (permettant d’apprécier les visites matinales ou vespérales d’impalas, de zèbres, de phacochères…) Mais surtout, l’accueil tellement chaleureux de tous, en particulier de Esti qui apporte un esprit très convivial au séjour: déjeuner et dîner rassemblant tous les hôtes autour d’une même grande tablée. Quelle belle initiative concluant parfaitement les safaris dans le parc. Merci

Das Team von der Riverside Lodge ist wirklich toll! Man fühlt sich aufgehoben und willkommen. Das Abend essen war immer sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Man sitzt mit allen anderen Gästen gemeinsam am Essenstisch, was eine sehr familiäre Stimmung macht. Man hat jeden Tag andere tierische Besucher beim Essen ( Gnus, Zebras, Impalas). Die Safari drives von der Riverside Lodge sind super! Wir hatten den Guide Tiaan, der seinen Job wirklich mit Leidenschaft ausübt! Die Deluxe Suite war sehr groß, und modern eingerichtet. Wir würden immer wieder kommen! Großen Dank an das Team, ihr habt unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht.

Wir hatten in unserem Zimmer leider kein Netz über dem Bett. Man bekommt aber mehrere Insekten Sprays zur Verfügung gestellt.

Le personnel est accueillant, et les repas étaient excellents 🤩 Vous avez contribué à rendre notre expérience et notre voyage de noces magiques ! 😍 Les animaux qui s’approchaient pour manger, c’était incroyable !! La proximité avec le parc Kruger est vraiment très pratique !

Nous avons apprécié le personnel, le logement, l'esprit de convialité du lodge (on mange tout ensemble) mais en particulier l'environnement : les animaux viennent jusque dans le jardin et surtout la petite balade à le long de la crocodil river où l'on peut voir éléphants, hippopotames, zèbres, etc etc ! Une merveille !

Thank you for the wonderful stay at this beautiful, special place. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food, the peace and quiet, and the lovely moments spent with the animals. Everything felt sincere and done with love. Dave certainly deserves a special mention: what a top driver! You can tell that everyone here works with heart and soul, and we feel completely at home here. We look back on these days with great gratitude and would love to come back again.

We arrived at this beautiful very authentic African Lodge with fabulous structure and viewing balconies. Our room was very special, we had an outdoor nature shower on the balcony. Stunning. The staff were beyond nice. We meet the owners and they made us feel so at home. The animals surrounded the Lodge with a family of Zerbra in the garden, where we fed them. Amazing.. we only had 2 days but promised to be back. Very enjoyable.

Well maintained hotel with strong management.Esti is doing a good job there. Small number of rooms allows direct communication with guests via WhatsApp. Transfers, excursions and safari could be easily organised. Rooms are spacious with lots of useful/pleasant things in them, like cookies, some alcohol, moskito spray, etc. For early safari mornings lunch box is provided. Evening meal served at 6.30 p.m. on the terrace, all the guests together, so you can share the emotions after your day in Kruger. There is also a bar with adequate prices for wine and beer. The personnel is super friendly. Lots of animals around the lodge.The pool is small, didn't use it because of the rain. We went on safari with the lodge guide, Devon, who is very enthusiastic about his job and good with people, animals and technics. It was fun, and we did the big 5 in one day although all the dirt roads were closed, saw a lot during the rainy days and exited the park through the Crocodile Bridge before it was closed due to the flooding. Our Eswatini tour booked at the lodge also went smoothly. The location of the lodge is convenient for the Crocodile Bridge, the parking is available at the territory. Overall, highly recommend this place.

WiFi is not strong. Some tea/coffee options for dinner with desserts would be great. In the cottage where we lived the big communal kitchen fridge is used for extra food storage, and i would also recommend not to use it during the evening/night hours as guests go to bed early before safari.

Лодж просто чудесный, находится на берегу реки, есть где прогуляться пешком и можно встретить разных животных прямо у лоджа) Красивый дизайн и декор, очень аутентично и приятно проводить здесь время. С верхней террасы открывается потрясающий вид на реку. Всего 15 минут на машине до Crocodile gate Завтраки супер: на выбор горячее блюдо, йогурт, мюсли, хлопья, сыры и колбасы, тосты, фрукты, панкейки и др. На раннее сафари дают отличный breakfast box. Рекомендую также сразу брать ужины в лодже: закуска/салат, горячее блюдо и десерт, все очень вкусное! Отдельным наслаждением было каждый вечер собираться за одним столом с другими гостями, ужинать вместе и обсуждать прошедший день сафари Номер просто потрясающий, было очень комфортно, есть холодильник, чайник, чай/кофе, печенье. Кровать огромная и удобная, спать было чудесно! Очень мягкие уютные халаты) Уборка каждый день, везде очень чисто Все работники и владельцы отеля очень приятные, стараются помочь во всех вопросах. В отеле можно заказать сафари, у них отличный гид! Однозначно рекомендую остановиться именно здесь)

Ce lodge est simplement magnifique,Etsy Charles et leurs personnels sont au petits soins et vous vous sentez comme à la maison. Les repas qui sont proposé sont délicieux,et le vin est à bonne température (ce qui à été très rare partout où je suis allée en afrique du sud)

From the start of our 12 night stay, we received a very warm and friendly welcome from the lodge's excellent manager, Esti, the staff and the owners. The lodge has a family atmosphere and there are two large tables where you can meet other guests and dine and breakfast together, chatting about the animals you've seen on safari that day (though you can also find private space if you prefer to have time and eat on your own). The staff go out of their way to be helpful and accommodate your wishes, provide advice, and there are lots of free little extras like a decanter of sherry in your room, your car cleaned before you leave etc. The beds are clean and comfortable, with fresh towels every day. The breakfast and dinner were tasty and freshly home-cooked; they even provide take-away breakfast boxes for people leaving early to go on safari. The tours offered by the lodge's fun and informative in-house guide, Devon, were outstanding. The lodge is set in amongst forest and a minute's walk from the river. It's peaceful and relaxing, and the sound of the local animals adds to the 'safari' atmosphere. Every day, the lodge is visited by the local animals such as Impalas, Kudus, Zebras and Warthogs, who feed in the garden next to where you dine and sometimes 'beg' for a few extras! Every night, when the weather is dry, the staff make a campfire so that you can sit around eating your dessert under the stars while chatting to the other guests! A wonderful, well-run, great-value home away from home - we were never bored during our relaxing 12 night stay; we would definitely stay again! We're very grateful for the wonderful holiday memories that the lodge helped create!

The pool is nice to float in and cool down, but a bit too small to do any 'real' swimming. This wasn't really a problem though as my partner and I were often the only guests using the pool, so we had plenty of space.

Отель устарел. Грязный. Завтраки -мухи и заветренная еда. Кто ставит высокий рейтинг я не понимаю. 2 звезды ещё нормально. Но за эти деньги точно нет. Полно насекомых в номере. Готовят грязными руками.

Warmest welcoming, very accommodating, communicative and friendly. Delicious breakfast with Impalas entertaining us. Nice riverview from the upper terrace. Close to the gate of Marloth Park: only 15min to Croc. River Bridge Gate and 30min to Malelane Gate. We enjoyed it very much and will definitely come back.

That we only stayed for one night :) Nothing to complain about.
