I recently stayed at this one-room apartment and it was better than expected. The room was comfortable, clean, and offered great privacy, making the stay very relaxing. Special thanks to Dinesh, the host, for being friendly and helpful throughout.

The only downside was the low water pressure in the bathroom, which could be improved. Overall, still a pleasant stay.

The receptionist was kind, helpful and very attentive. The hotel is located 5min walk from the beach. I have stayed three times and in different rooms.

The conditions vary - some rooms don't have views to outside. The hotel was under renovation.

Staff was alright.

Electricity was out both days during my stay, door lock didn’t work properly. Was most expensive hotel i’ve stayed in. Got also robbed close to this hotel, just to mention even it’s not their fault.

I found Dasun to excepionally helpull and made my stay even better.

The rooms were very good and always clean. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. A special thanks to Dasun, who was always there whenever we needed assistance. The location is beautiful and very close to the beach, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

Das Bad war leider nicht ganz so sauber und sehr muffig, da es nicht belüftet werden konnte.

There is a night club next to the hotel. It was impossible to night. Instead of 6 nights, I left after the 2nd night. Maybe, it is calm at the week days, but at weekends, impossible. Too noisy

Excellent location, amazing service given by Mr Sujith and Mr Rasindu, had an easy, relaxing and pleasant stay at Hotels Peridot. Rooms are extremely clean, and the neighborhood is quiet, few steps away from the beautiful beach. So I highly recommend anyone to come and stay at Hotels Peridot

Wir haben sehr spontan gebucht und waren nur für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise hier. Dafür war es sehr passend. Das Zimmer war sauber und ruhig, wir waren unter der Woche dort. Dasun hat einen sehr guten Job gemacht und uns bei allem geholfen.

Very average and disappointing hotel. It’s not expensive but for this kind of money you can get a lot better. It really needs an upgrade

Nagyon kedves volt Dasun, mindennel segített, a szállás is kellemes volt, szép nagy terasz, kényelmes ágyak. Csak a hotel melletti night club csapott zajt, ami miatt szobát cseréltünk.

This accommodation is of a very high standard.. The staff is also very friendly. Mr. Dasun helped us with everything from parking to security. A quiet environment and a safe place.. Much appreciated.

The rooms are clean and the price is good. Also the staff is very helpful. They let me change to a quieter room which was very friendly and helpful.

There is a little bit of noise form the nightclub next door. For some people it’s no problem but if you are a light sleeper you might need earplugs.

Avevamo avvertito saremmo arrivati prima, rispondendoci che non ci sarebbero stati problemi. Invece una volta lì ci hanno chiesto 1.000 rupie per ogni ora in anticipo. La vasca della doccia è in condizioni pessime.

This is a very basic, reasonably clean, good value place a short walk to the beach. I stayed in room 314 for fourteen nights. This is a good sized, basic double room with two bedside cabinets, a clothes hanging rack (no clothes hangers) and a desk and chair. A kettle and tea bags (no sugar or powdered milk) were provided. Rooms are cleaned on request, which I prefer because I don’t like the hassle of daily ‘housekeeping’. There is no fridge or room service. There is an en-suite with a bath, toilet and sink. There are plenty of electrical sockets. There is a very good A/C and a ceiling fan. WiFi is weak, but functional. There is a TV, but I couldn’t get it to work- not a priority for me. As with all the hotels in this area, there are occasional power cuts, especially during bad weather. Prasad and Sujit (reception) were really kind, hard-working and helpful. Recommended for experienced budget travellers with realistic expectations for prices in this range. TOP TIPS: (1) tuc tucs outside the hotel are best avoided. Use the PickMe or Uber apps instead. However, these can also be dodgy (read reviews); (2) I highly recommend local buses for going into the centre (R75 from Mount Lavinia to Fort or Petah market). Buses are NOT suitable for luggage though.

The room was horrible. There were plenty of mosquitoes and ants. The toilet initially had flickering light, although it was fixed after I informed the receptionist downstairs. The toilet was dirty and was never cleaned, and the same applied to the room.

There is almost nothing to like about this hotel.

The hotel is very old and the room is very dirty. Especially the birth room is very dirty. I saw big cockroach from the toilet. The room is not well cleaned and found spider web on corners of the room. Also there’s smell of cigarette outside the room and cigarette butts in the stair. Before booking this hotel I didn’t know it is right next to a night club. They start playing loud music night 9 to morning 5am. I couldn’t sleep the whole night. This is the worst experience in my life never ever staying there.

Best comfort room with a pleasant stay. The room was very comfortable and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Dasun, who was very good, polite, and professional. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended.

J’avais écrit pour demander à laisser mes bagages à la réception puisque j’arriverais tôt! A mon arrivée il m’a dit que ma chambre était libre. Il m’a chargé 1 1/2 le prix de la chambre ( qui était déjà un peu cher pour la place.

Great value for money. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making the stay very pleasant. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, especially Mr. Dasun, who was exceptionally hospitable and attentive.

Location was good. Staff was accomodating. Room was spacious.

Bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly. Could see traces of old soap on shower area. No blankets were provided and only one bath towel instead of two and 2 smaller towels were provided. The room had a significant damp mark on a wall. And room selected supposed to have a bath tub as per photos. Which wasn't the case as the bath tub was available only on standard smaller rooms.

The receptionist is a super kind person and really very friendly. The room is okay.

Unfortunately, the bed sheets were a bit dirty and the bathroom is not very nice, but for one night it is fine for the price. In addition there was really loud music during the night.

This is THE #1 WORST ACCOMMODATION I’ve ever stayed at. Location is right next to a NIGHT CLUB. Very loud music playing until early in the morning, IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP! Room smells bad. A/C makes it worse. Bathroom is in such a poor shape that it‘s not even possible to clean it anymore. The Rooftop is unfinished / under construction. The whole place urgently needs renovation or demolition. The location doesn’t have anything nice to offer. Overpriced restaurants in the surroundings.

Angeboten wird lt. Bild als Schlafzimmer ein DeluxZimmer, tatsächlich ist es ein runtergekommenes BudgetZimmer; beim Anblick des Badezimmer musste ich mich gleich umdrehen. Auf Intervention vom Rezeptionisten bekamen wir gottseidank ein besseres Zimmer zugewiesen. Fazit: Auf die Beschreibung lt. Booking.com kann man sich nicht unbedingt verlassen

De ligging van het hotel vlakbij de zee, winkels en restaurants. We waren er tijdens de cycloon Ditwah en hebben ons veilig gevoeld en handig Netflix als tijdverdrijf.
