We stayed here for our last night in Sri Lanka before catching our flight back to the UK. It was a perfect place for us to stay and we were looked after so well by the staff. We had excellent communication with them from the point of booking to arrival and we really appreciated that they organised our transport to the airport for us. It made everything really easy for us. We arrived after a long day travelling from the east coast and the welcome was lovely. We received welcome drinks which we really appreciated and we were able to cool off in the gorgeous pool before a walk down to see the beach and to fit in some last minute souvenir shopping! The hotel location is excellent. It is really close to the beach and shops and the area felt very safe. I'm not sure if the photos on booking.com are fully up to date as the pool area has recently been refurbished and is actually much more lovely than the photos give credit. I will include some below. It is a lovely pool!! We were so impressed by the thought that has gone into the design and decoration of the hotel. It is really so beautiful. So much detail and care has gone into it. Nearly every corner is hand painted with beautiful Sri Lankan art work. The ceilings, the doors, the furniture. It is really beautiful. We absolutely loved that. I have included a photo of the ceiling in our room! We dined at their own restaurant 'The Tusk' which we highly recommend. The food and service was absolutely excellent, and the restaurant is beautiful. It is so gorgeous. They will look after you so well. We had a really lovely last evening here. We were sorry we couldn't stay another night and explore Negombo a bit more. Istuti to the team at Blue Elephant for making our last evening in Sri Lanka really special for us.

The dinner food in the restaurant was delicious. It was 10 minutes walking to the beach

L’hôtel est vraiment magnifique et bien placé, la chambre très confortable, et le restaurant très bon. Les équipes sont également aux petits soins.

L’alloggio è un oasi tranquilla e curatissima a Negombo, personale eccezionale ottima per staccare dalla vita frenetica della città. Colazione al tavolo, buona e abbondante. Staff super cordiale e disponibile anche per organizzare attività. Una menzione speciale va al ristorante della struttura “Tusk” il miglior ristorante di pesce di tutto lo Sri Lanka, lo chef ogni giorno all’alba si procura il pesce per la giornata, proponendo piatti in funzione di quello che viene preso al mercato. Lasciatevi guidare nella scelta.

Consiglio alla struttura una piccola attenzione in più sulla pulizia delle lenzuola e una gestione diversa dell’acqua calda, risolvendo questi aspetti si raggiunge uno standard alberghiero europeo.

Habitaciones espaciosas, piscina agradable y buena comida. Puedes ir a pies hasta la carretera principal con tiendas de souvenirs y restaurantes. El personal y el dueño son súper amables. No llegaba la cobertura a internet en la habitación ni en el comedor, aún así el sitio es súper agradable y recomendable!

Staff should tell guests where the mosquito net is when they check in. We arrived late and didn’t realise there was one, when we mentioned at check out they said it is in wardrobe.

Suprisingly good, fantastic restaurant and pool area. Quiet area in the city, could easily have stayed a day longer.

Negumbo beach is not as good as the other beaches we were at in Sri Lanka. The only place where we saw plastic trash at the beach.

The personal warmth of the staff. They excelled at avoiding the trap of being dry impersonal hospitality providers. And introduced true humanity into the experience. The beautification project being done on the parking lot. Unfortunately it won't change the size.

The parking lot is too small except for a few small vehicles such as scooters and tuk-tuks. Any more than 2 compact cars and the parking lot is inadequate.

Struttura molto bella, camera spaziosa e pulita. Colazione semplice, si potrebbe migliorare.

El hotel es acogedor y muy conveniente como primera parada después del vuelo. El restaurante del hotel es cómodo y con muy buena relación calidad precio. El personal del hotel es muy atento.

De ligging en de flexibiliteit qua inchecken en uitchecken

Wie in den meisten Unterkünften auf Sri Lanka ist das Service Personal sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück vollkommen ausreichend und lecker. Extrawünsche wurden , wenn machbar umgesetzt.

Die Sauberkeit im Bad ist verbesserungswürdig. Bei Ankunft schmutzige, verdreckte Bodenfliesen speziell hinter der Eingangstür. War für 5 Tage in einer anderen Stadt und nach der Rückkehr Zimmer im selben Zustand vorgefunden wie ich es verlassen hatte. Sprich das Zimmer und Bad wurde während meiner Abwesenheit nicht gereinigt als auch die Betten nicht gemacht. Erst auf Bitten meinerseits wurde dies nach meiner Rückkehr erledigt.

Absolutely loved this accommodation, a real find for our last night before leaving Sri Lanka. Decor is beautiful, lovely swimming pool and outside area with restaurant attached. Room was spacious with small outdoor sitting area, large double bed and modern bathroom. Staff very welcoming and friendly. 15mins from airport.

Lovely little hotel with beautiful decoration and friendly staff. We only stayed for proximity to the airport but it was a very comfortable stay.

We had some confusion about breakfast which we were told started at 7:30 but didn’t seem to be happening as expected. The hotel prepared us a sandwich and it wasn’t their fault but we had been looking forward to something more substantial before the flight. Other than that it was lovely.

We waren met 2 jonge kinderen en hadden een hele ruime 4p kamer, wat lastig te vinden is. Dus dat was super fijn. Daarnaast stelden ze goede klamboes ter beschikking, airco, fantastisch schoon zwembad incl ondiep gedeelte voor kids, zeer vriendelijk personeel, rustige omgeving. Je kan er prima eten en op loopafstand zijn bovendien veel leuke horeca-opties. Korte rit vanaf het vliegveld.

Nos dejaron hacer early check in por un módico precio. La piscina y el restaurante fenomenal.

We had a wonderful stay here. The room was spacious and very clean, which made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. A special thanks to Jaan, who truly made our stay extra enjoyable. Nothing was ever too much for him—he was always ready to help and assist us with a smile. His kindness and dedication really stood out. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Espectacular hotel! Todo maravilloso, es un lugar precioso con muchísimos detalles, una decoración exquisita, la piscina es muy agradable, tienen un restaurante con mucha variedad de platos y la comida está deliciosa, muy bien ubicado a 5 min de la playa caminando . La habitación preciosa, comodísima y con terracita. Me ha encantado este lugar. El personal es un amor, hay silencio y puedes descansar bien. Un 10/10

Hotellet har ett bra läge som gör det smidigt att ta sig runt. Personalen är trevlig och ger ett bra bemötande under hela vistelsen. Frukosten är god med ett bra utbud, så man får en bra start på dagen. Vi är nöjda med vår vistelse och kan absolut tänka oss att komma tillbaka!

La struttura è molto bella e la stanza è arredata con gusto. Piscina pulita e molto utile. Ci siamo trovati bene. Il titolare ha lavorato in Italia tanti anni e parla perfettamente l'italiano. È stato molto cortese e disponibile.

Comfortable rooms, lovely swimming pool, good restaurant, great location in a quiet backroad away from the noisy main road but close to the main shops and restaurants. The staff were fantastic!

Beautiful authentic hotel, large rooms with excellent air-conditioning. Fabulous restaurant on-site (try the jumbo prawns!). Very nice pool and area to relax. Excellent quiet location but short walk to main strip and beach. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Fint litet ställe som låg kanske 10 minuter från stranden. Fräsht, rent, trevlig & omtänksam personal. God lunch/middag & en härlig liten pool. Tyvärr blev det ändring i flygen så åkte med ett tidigare plan, vilket resulterade i att jag varken nyttjade sängen eller frukost. Men tror säkert att det hade varit lika bra!!

Ambiance. Staff. Food. Pool. When stuck with nowhere to go the owner arranged other accomodation for us until we can go back to Blue Elephant before our supposed delayed flight. He was helping all guests really going above and beyond in the current situation we find ourselves in. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Auf der Terrasse war nur ein Stuhl.

We stayed for our first night in Sri Lanka. Hotel was super clean and staff were lovely and helpful. The hotel is fantastic value for money and the hotel arranged a great transfer from the airport.

We enjoyed the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast and the really friendly staff. Also it was quite nice to relax at the pool after exploring Negombo. The Hotel was located in a nice and quite area.
