Twijfel zeker niet of je dit verblijf moet boeken. Het is de perfecte rustplaats om Negombo te ontdekken. Super proper, lekker ontbijt ( ik las soms in de comment dat dit weinig zou zijn maar dat is absoluut niet het geval), personeel super vriendelijk

The people who work here honestly make the stay even better. The pool and rooms are beautiful and the food was very good! Really enjoyed this stay for our first night in Sri Lanka.

I shall say we started our trip here and changed plans to finish our trip here and here is why The hotel,pool ,rooms and restaurant are all exceptionally clean. the food was fantastic sri lanken breakfast or continental are both of good standard. The staffs english is excellent and they really can not do enough to make your stay fantastic. The guy who maintains the gardens and pool does not stop pottering around all day keeping the whole area looking immaculate 24 hours a day. The pool was the cleanest pool through are 17 day trip in sri lanka and we traveled about alot. Kavishka seemed to be front of house and he was very helpful and fantastic at his job he really mad our stay next level

Heel leuk, kleinschalig domein met huisjes rondom een heel mooi zwembad. Alles ligt in een oase van groen en rust, naast de Dutch Canal. Zeer net en goed onderhouden tuin. Het onthaal was hartelijk en iedereen was (zoals steeds) erg behulpzaam. We verbleven 2 nachten als eindpunt van onze rondreis van 3 weken. Dit was de perfecte locatie om even uit te rusten. Verzorgd ontbijt (iets beperkter wel dan op andere locaties) en smakelijke maaltijden. We boekten ook de bootsafari die meteen aan het hotel vertrekt.

Jammer dat er geen coctails werden aangeboden ondanks de aantrekkelijke coctailkaart.

Dit mooie plekje is een geweldige start van mijn reis geweest. De tuin waarin de huisjes staan is echt prachtig groen. Het personeel is super vriendelijk. In het hotel werkt een hele professionele manager Asiri, die altijd voor je klaar staat. Een chef die heerlijk eten maakt. En de accomodaties zijn echt super hygiënisch dankzij de lieve dames die heel goed schoonmaken. Dit was één van de mooiste verblijven waar ik ben verbleven in Sri Lanka.

The pool is amazing. We had some late night swimming sessions, they were perfect. The staff is supper friendly and helpful. This hotel is a gem.

Sehr herzliches und aufmerksames Personal und wunderschöne Anlage! Sind nach dem Flug aus colombo direkt zu The Cottage Negombo gekommen und das war wirklich die beste Entscheidung. Rundum zufrieden und wenn wir nochmal dort im Eck sind, kommen wir mit Sicherheit wieder. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

The location was great - close to the airport and the beach. Pool was fantastic and rooms were so clean and comfy. Staff were really helpful. Amazing value for money and great for after a long overnight flight.

It was a bit noisy at night as the party next door was loud, and we could hear the music from our room.

Wat een super leuke kleinschalige accommodatie. De huisjes staan rondom het zwembad in een mooie tuin. Wij kwamen laat aan, maar de keuken werd gewoon voor ons geopend en het eten was heerlijk.

Cottages très agréables , confortables et bien décorés autour d'une très jolie piscine. Le personnel est très sympatique. Bon petit déjeuner. Nous recommandons.

Ce logement a des volets ce qui est très rare au Sri lanka mais qui est un atout . Or il n y a pas de fenêtre... ainsi lorsque nous ouvrons les volets les insectes rentrent . Peut être installer une moustiquaire ? La rue est très étroite.

Jammer dat je zo vroeg al moet aangeven of je daar eet of niet en dat je niet spontaan kan aanschuiven. En het eten wat je in de restaurants krijgt zit meer bij . We vonden het beetje weinig. Vooral als ze al ruim van tevoren weten wat de mensen nemen .

Hele mooie sfeervolle locatie met fijne kamers en chill zwembad. Wij hebben er ‘s avonds ook lekker gegeten. We hadden er graag langer willen verblijven dan 1 nacht! Je voelt je door de mensen erg welkom.

De locatie lijkt wat verder weg van Negombo, maar wat voor ons niet zo’n punt was. Met een tuktuk ben je er zo.

The cabins we got were clean and well-equipped. The staff waited for us until late at night &was very nice. Great pool.

The road to the place was on narrow paths and it was not so comfortable to get there with a large vehicle.

Wir waren die erste Nacht in SriLanka dort und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Saubere Anlage mit einem schönen Garten und einem tollen Pool zum wohlfühlen, definitiv schöner als auf den Bildern. Das Essen im eigenen Restaurant war auch spitze, da haben wir außerhalb z.T. deutlich schlechter gegessen. Des weiteren sind die Gastgeber sehr engagiert, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Ich weiß nicht, ob ich dem Hotel damit unrecht antue, aber wir empfanden die Preise für Essen & Trinken im nachhinein als etwas sehr hoch; diese waren deutlich höher wie sonst allgemein üblich in SriLanka!

Het was een erg knus en leuk ‘hutje’, die met de andere huisjes een gezellig dorpje vormden om het zwembad midden in het groen. Prachtige omgeving met enorm vriendelijk personeel! Via hen hebben we een bijzondere lagoon safari geboekt. Speciale dank aan Thejan, die ons verblijf nog beter heeft gemaakt door zijn behulpzaamheid en het lachen!

Heerlijk hotel, simpel ontbijt maar prima. Vooral heerlijk zwembad waar we onze laatste 3 nachten aan hebben gelegen vooral niks doen. Kamers heerlijk mooi groot en schoon echt even een verademing na alle andere kamers. Het bed kraakte heel erg maar kreeg volgende dag direct andere kamer dus prima

Heerlijke ruime, koele en donkere kamer. Airco doet het uitstekend, net als de WiFi. Zwembad met bedjes is erg fijn en rustig.

Het duurde erg lang voordat onze lunch kwam, nadat we het besteld hadden (1,5 uur).

Séjour absolument parfait : du lieu (à taille humaine avec des petites cases tout autour en préservant l’intimité de chacun grâce à une très belle végétation), la piscine : très bien exposée, grande et ok pour les bains jusque tard), le personnel très bienveillant et extrêmement arrangeant, top petit dej… bref un gros coup de cœur Petit plus : ils proposent des safaris en boat au pied de l’hôtel, très sympa !

We got a warm welcome and were very impressed with this beautiful, well run little hotel. The food was delicious and the pool was great to relax by before we departed the next morning. The rooms and bathrooms were very tidy and spacious. They also organised our taxi service to the airport. We even enjoyed our evening walk in the neighbourhood.

The beds were quite hard but that's not unusual for Sri Lanka

It is a very nice place and perfect stay when you arrive from or leave to the airport. The pool is lovely and so are the cottages with comfy beds. Staff really friendly

The surroundings are not that great. Although close to the beach it is not that easy to get there.

Pokoje byly krásné, čisté, stylově zařízené. Poprvé na Srí Lanka průhledná voda v bazénu. Personál byl velmi vstřícný. Jediná nevýhoda tohoto hotelu je umístění vedle zapáchající stoky.

V době kdy jsme dorazili do hotelu byla celá zahrada zahalená do kouře, který silně zapáchal jako by hořel plast. Personál tvrdil, že se nemusíme ničeho obávat, že je to přírodní vykuřování moskytů. Nevím, ale dle zápachu bych neřekla.

Sehr schöne gemütliche Unterkunft. Kleine Oase der Ruhe. Tolles Essen und sehr freundliche Personal. Mega hilfsbereit. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Als je een overnachting zoekt in Negombo MOET je hier echt heen, het is geweldig. Het personeel is onwijs vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het is echt een paradijs om te verblijven met nette huisjes , een fijn zwembad en heerlijk eten.

Er was niks wat tegenviel, het was precies zo als verwacht en meer dan dat!

Mooi klein complex met heerlijk zwembad. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en lekker eten

Locatie is matig. Omgeving is wel erg authentiek, maar veel afval buiten het terrein en het kanaal is ronduit smerig. Strand is ook armoedig.

De locatie ligt in een rustig deel buiten Negombo. Met een tuktuk ben je zo bij het centrum of toeristische strand. De kamer is schoon, met een groot 2 persoonsbed. Er is voldoende kast ruimte en je krijgt zowel een handdoek voor douchen als voor het zwembad. De bediening is ontzettend vriendelijk. We kwamen vroeg in de morgen aan en mochten als snel de kamer in. Zwembad is lekker met stoelen eromheen. Ook de boottour vanaf de locatie is erg leuk om te doen. De service van het hotel is top. We waren een jasje vergeten, en die hebben ze meteen achter ons aan verstuurd met de post.

Wij hebben de eerste dag op de locatie geluncht en gedineerd. Het eten was oké, we vonden het in vergelijking met het centrum wel iets te duur. Maar na een lange vlucht is dat niet zo erg als je daarvoor kan bijkomen en niet weg hoeft.

If you look for a home stay kind of feeling with basic, clean cottages, then look no further! The Cottage Negombo is located in a peaceful part of the city and it feels like you’re in the middle of the jungle here. The owner and staff make you feel at home and go out of their way to ensure you have the best experience. The chef is excellent and the property looks exactly like the pictures.

We enjoyed everything. Don’t go here if you expect a 5-star resort. Do go here if you want to feel welcome in a very comfortable and clean home stay with excellent food.
