Hangzhou West Lake Anyu Hotel

Incredible staff and amenities. Breakfast and tea time were both delicious!

Not as remote as I hoped. Overlooked a parking lot

Everything was perfect, the receptionist and service served was incredible

Nice Hotel & Nice Staff

It is a small quiet property close-ish to the Lake. The staff were excellent and very helpful!! The design of the hotel is very picturesque and “Instagram worthy”. The mood setting of the hotel is a great choice for those looking for a slower pace of life to rest and relax. The breakfast we had every morning was absolutely delicious (like a mini omakase with a choice of a chosen main)and what we looked forward to every morning. There was afternoon tea as well but we never got to try it.

Lights were a little dim and the room that I got had one super bright light right above our heads and would shine right into our eyes when we laid down. We felt a little insecure because the room locks were just using a key and the door felt like it was easy to break in. However, the compound is very small, and there is a gated front gate that needs a key card to tap in.

An absolutely exceptional boutique hotel experience. Every aspect of Anyu feels deeply intentional — from the interior design, lighting, amenities, tea service, and desserts, to the overall atmosphere of calm luxury and attention to detail. You can instantly feel that this is not a generic luxury hotel, but a truly niche property created with immense care and taste. What made our stay unforgettable, however, was the people. The hotel manager, Steven, made us feel less like guests and more like close friends visiting his home — and he achieved that within just one day of our stay. Every question or request we had was handled effortlessly and gracefully. During our stay I unfortunately injured my foot, and Steven personally accompanied me to the hospital to help us navigate everything. By the time we returned, most nearby restaurants had already closed, but he still managed to organize delicious takeaway food for us, beautifully served inside the hotel. He even stayed with us and kept us company through what had become a very difficult day. That level of genuine hospitality is incredibly rare. Anyu is one of those places that stays in your memory long after checkout — not only because of the beautiful design and quality, but because of how warmly and sincerely they care for their guests.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel, we kregen ontbijt bij aankomst omdat we de dag erna vroeg moesten vertrekken

Locatie is minder en er waren net werkzaamheden aan de weg

Great breakfast, great complimentary afternoon tea. Unbeatable vibes. Different than most Chinese hotels. The staff was very helpful and very courteous.

The location is remote. Especially on the weekend. A didi took 20 mins to arrive for us to go to dinner. It is in a park and green area. I definitely enjoyed the hotel.

Everything! It's so well done, with such subtle andf beautiful taste, the food is gorgeous and the staff is insanely good and friendly.

Nothing.

This hotel is an oasis of design comfort, dark wooden finishes and fabrics in a modern style. There are coffee table design and photography books all around, which makes for a relaxing break, over breakfast, afternoon tea or supper, all of those complimentary. The set breakfast in terms of quality and size is something never experienced before, that in addition to an a la carte menu, also included. All of the above deserve a 10/10 rating. Then the staff are worthy of a higher rating still. They simply couldn't do enough for us throughout our four day stay. Meticulous!

Whilst the hotel location is ideal in many respects and is set back off a busy road which makes for a quiet stay, access by car or taxi is restricted on weekends and public holidays. That's applicable to the whole area around, not only to Anya. Again, the staff went out of there way to find solutions when needed. Frequently booked full, you will be fortuneate to secure a stay at this marvelous hotel!

The original Asian feel old school Chinese but very modern a classic for people with good taste , who is tired of the cookie cutter options

Homely wholesome food for breakfast.

Did not have time for the High Tea,

Tot

Quiet peaceful close to eating places and within walking distance to West Lake. Short walk to Taiziwan or Princes park. Good for jogging and morning walks. The service at the hotel was incredible. Very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was something to look forward to. Close to eateries and hike up mountain.

Surroundings a bit cramped. Narrow one way street to hotel.

This property was the perfect introduction into Chinese hospitality, the interiors were simple yet very much thought of. The guest services went above and beyond, they were kind enough to always hold an umbrella when it rained. The room was spacious and comfortable, always forced me to enter into a zen mode. In it was a tote bag packed with light travel essentials such as wet wipes, bottles of water and nail clippers. Before departure, they had a little souvenir prepared alongside a packed breakfast for the road trip. I really liked the fact that they remembered my coffee choice and had that ready.

Unfortunately they didn’t have a spa but I get it, the hotel is more on the boutique side.

住房非常舒適，服務也非常好。早餐及下午茶也非常好吃。

Stunning design, superb staff, truly wonderful

Some rooms are quite close to the noise from the outside like the restaurants close by, but this all stopped after 9pm

Everything. The hotel itself is well designed and situated in a convenient location. The staffs are professional and friendly. The smell of the room and the breakfast are the most unforgettable things in my visit. I would be back again, and again.

Nothing. I don’t like the fact that my stomach capacity would not allow me to try everything in the breakfast. It was truly a morning feast.
