La struttura, immersa nel verde, si trova a due passi da angoletti molto caratteristici e silenziosi del Lago Ovest. I luoghi d’interesse sono facilmente raggiungibili e ci sono molte alternative di bar e ristoranti nei dintorni. La casa e’ proprio bella e accogliente. Oltre a tutto cio’ quello che ha reso la nostra permanenza veramente speciale e’ stata la proprietaria di casa, Vivian. Ogni mattina una deliziosa colazione diversa, super disponibile a fornirci consigli e ad aiutarci ad organizzare le nostre escursioni. E’ stata la nostra esperienza piu bella di tutto il viaggio. Ci siamo sentiti cone a casa. Consigliata vivvamente!

Wonderful location and host! Vivian was amazing and so kind - I really enjoyed our little chats and it was great having her input on the local attractions/food. The place was so cozy and clean, I loved sitting by the little nook by window. The location is just the cherry on top (on the quieter part of the lake) and there is an adorable cafe right by the home which makes for enjoyable morning walks.

Vivian’s property is serene, clean comfortable. What tops it is her exceptional service, often advising us the attractions, food and even sourcing a bottle of whisky for our friend and had it sent to their town hotel after checking out of hers . She is genuinely interested in her guests, sharing with us her hometown , local customs and curious about ours .

We absolutely loved our stay here! From the moment we arrived, we felt less like hotel guests and more like friends visiting Vivien's home. It was incredibly cozy, welcoming, and heartfelt. Although we had just met for the first time, it felt as if we had known each other for years. The location is excellent. We came to Xi'an primarily to explore its rich history, and this was the perfect base for doing so. All the major historical attractions were easy to reach, which made sightseeing convenient and enjoyable. The room was beautiful, stylish, spotless, and very comfortable. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully designed. A special mention goes to the breakfasts. During our entire trip across China, Vivien's breakfasts were by far the most delicious. Every morning was a real treat, prepared with care and attention. Thank you, Vivien, for your warmth, hospitality, and for creating such a special place. We would love to come back one day and will remember our stay with great fondness.

Best stay ever! The host, Vivien took care of us very well and paid attention to little details. She prepares delicious and nutritious breakfast for us. She even made delicious Hangzhou snacks for us every day and packed a big bag for us to take home. The room is exceptionally clean and cozy and feels like home. The environment is serene, green and peaceful and a good place for cycling and hiking. It's a great place for families. We truly miss the hospitality and certainly recommend this B&B to all our friends.

Best homestay I’ve ever stayed at. Tucked away in a quiet street, one couldn’t wish for a better location to relax from the big city hubbub. Within a few minutes you will find yourself walking through the forest paths around West Lake. Breakfast is made on the spot: delicious, filling and varied each day. Vivian, the host, made us each morning a 5 star cappuccino. We will miss the evening chats we had with our host Vivian after a long day out and her home baked cookies!

Everything was just great. Vivian is a wonderful host. The location is perfect, right next to the westlake. I will definately come again!

Она все подробно объяснила, показала территорию, быстро заселила и сразу создала ощущение, что нас здесь действительно ждали. За такое отношение отдельное спасибо!🫶 Сам гостевой дом расположен в прекрасном месте: недалеко от озера, среди зелени, в очень тихом и уютном районе. Вокруг красивые виды на горы, рядом плантации и живописная природа. Здесь можно по-настоящему отдохнуть от городской суеты и насладиться спокойствием. Номер был чистый и ухоженный, все аккуратно, видно, что за домом хорошо следят. Территория также чистая и уютная. Мы остались в полном восторге от этого места. Если снова окажемся в этих краях, обязательно остановимся здесь еще раз. Однозначно рекомендуем!

Proprietor was very helpful and friendly and made us great recommendations of two restaurants for dinner. Home cooked breakfast with professionally made freshly brewed coffee. Room was made up and cleaned nicely each day. The shower stall was large and spacious and the toilet had modern day WC with built in bidet. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

There were no drawers to store our clothes. Just a closet with hangers. A window that faced the outside in our room was only covered by thin day curtains and this faced exactly the location just outside the shower door. We had to put up a pillow to block the view from outside but not perfectly. Biggest issue was breakfast as it was served in the kitchen area with limited table top space. So you might have to wait your turn or have the breakfast served on the limited table space in your room. There is an outside table but not appealing if the weather is too hot or cold. We wanted to do some laundry after a long day after dinner but was told that the washing machine would make too much noise for the guests and the laundry had to be done in the day. This was a little inconvenient and as we were out during the day, we didn't do the laundry eventually.

Basic but clean. One of the best B&B I’ve stayed so far. The host is super helpful. Very sincere and made all guests feel welcome. Highly recommended to those who want to visit Hangzhou. The breakfast is simple and prepared with thoughtfulness. I stayed for 4 nights with the host, Vivian who is very thoughtful in every way. 赞👍

Great location, very peaceful and relaxing, few steps away from West Lake. Beautiful place, great design and comfortable bed. Vivian was amazing and the best host we had during our trip in China. The homemade breakfast and nice tea were delicious. Highly recommended.

What an amazing place - it truly is very cosy and welcoming. Vivian was amazing with all the wonderful breakfasts she served us, and had a lot of great recommendations for us as well. The location near West Lake means you can easily go exploring since there's so much to see.

Vivian, the host was very friendly and helpful especially when we couldn't book a cab via any apps due to a credit card problem. She would assist us whenever she was free. We chatted like some old friends and made some new friends through her. She was very caring to make sure that we were safe to get a transport back to the premise in the late night. Although the room we booked was small but it was very clean. We were surprised that the toilet bowl was installed with an auto bidet which made our stay very cozy. We were given each a pair of new soft and warm slippers during our stay. It was those small little things that showed us how caring the host was. Thank you Vivian for making our stay the most memorable one.

Rock and Wood est un établissement extraordinaire. Viviane, vous accueille de façon remarquable de par sa gentillesse et son hospitalité. Les petits déjeuners sont délicieux et copieux. Elle vous propose également de gouter à des choses originales. Elle est aux petits soins pour vous. La maison est sereine et très bien placée. Les chambres parfaitement équipées et agréables. Bref, nous avons été totalement conquis et nous recommandons à 100% !

This accommodation was my 3rd stop in China. It felt cosy , restful & homely. Vivian the host was very welcoming and of great personality. She took care of us well. Love her breakfast. Bed and necessity are sufficiently provided. Wish i could stay abit longer in Hangzhou. The location may not be the best but it was at a quiet place near the other side of the lake. Walking around felt recharged and fresh. Didi is convenient to come, so not much worry. She also shared some details of places of interest. We all had a good 2 night stay!

Our rooms were spotless, very comfortable and well-furnished. We were also pleased that the homestay is located at the quieter southern end of Xihu, offering a tranquil setting away from the busier more crowded northern area. Vivian our host owner was extremely warm and welcoming. Each morning, Vivian would prepare a sumptuous daily breakfast showcasing local fresh produce and regional specialties which was a real treat. A Hangzhou native herself, Vivian’s local knowledge was excellent and she helped us immensely in planning our itineraries. She also gave us fantastic recommendations for hangzhou cuisine. Our visit to 大马弄 morning market was special where we enjoyed amazing local breakfast specialities and soaked in the lively authentic atmosphere.

Vivian is an exceptional host—helpful, accommodating, and attentive to every detail. The room is spotless, and the bed is super comfortable. The property is situated on the quieter side of West Lake, away from the crowds but still close to major attractions. IMHO, the most stunning yet less publicized view of West Lake is just a 5-minute walk away. There are also many nearby beautiful walking paths to explore. Highly recommended!

Personal touch and friendly hosts

The property is located in a quiet neighborhood not far from West Lake scenic area. It is about 10-15 minutes walking to public transportation. The host is very patient and friendly.

The dining area for breakfast is a little small and gets crowded when guests from different rooms all come at the same time.

Everything was great, room was extremely clean and very comfortable. Vivian was super kind and helpful and the breakfasts were fantastic. Great location for tourist attractions near West Lake.

None. But try to avoid weekends, the traffic is horrible and hard to get taxi. If you could rent a bicycle, it’s gonna be a great cycle tour.

La posizione, anche se non è semplicissima da trovare al primo colpo, è perfetta per chi cerca verde e tranquillità nel cuore di una zona turistica molto frequentata. Ho potuto fare passeggiate rilassanti lungo il lago, sia la mattina presto che alla sera. Inoltre, erano disponibili biciclette in condivisione per esplorare i dintorni in modo piacevole e divertente.

My stay here was absolutely wonderful. This is more than just a hotel; it feels like a charming, cozy home. The room was incredibly warm and inviting, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The breakfast was a highlight every single morning. It was homemade by the hostess, and it was different, delicious, and generous every day. It was the perfect way to start the day. The location is ideal. The hotel is right in the heart of the core scenic area, yet it's peacefully quiet. Stepping outside felt like walking into a beautiful painting, with stunning views right at your doorstep. A huge practical bonus I especially loved was the clothes-drying area on the 3rd floor. It was so convenient to wash clothes and have a dedicated, sunny space to hang them to dry. I will definitely be returning on my next trip.

The owner, Vivian, makes your stay truly feel like home. She is like a caring family member who waits for you every morning in the kitchen with a freshly prepared breakfast, gives you tips and recommendations for sightseeing depends on your needs and preferences. She is very pleasant to communicate. The home itself also is not like a typical hotel. The space is warm, cozy, have all necessary. If you come with a huge and heavy luggage it’s better communicate it in advance to be provided the room on the first floor! There are also a couple of good coffee specialty shops just around the corner. Highly recommended!!

Everything. I'm so glad I chose to stay here. The room was great, and the location quiet. Vivian was absolutely wonderful and the breakfast was so good that it might be my favourite ever guesthouse meal.

The location is near most attractions in Xi Hu and the host is very friendly and warm. It feels like I am staying with my extended family.

Nothing much to pick on and it's a home stay. If there's more entertainment (TV channels) in the room will be better as we're kind of stuck for a bit due to the rain. The family suite was also not connected which we thought it was.

A cozy homestay. Staff was friendly and spend time to interact with us. Sharing experience and recommend places to visit. The location is near the Tai Zi Wan Garden, Xi Hu's Su Ti is like 30mins walk from the homestay. They provide different type of breakfast on our 2 night stay. There a few restaurants around the neighbourhood that provide decent local food. There is also a convenient store within 3 mins walk. In fact, this was my second time staying here, and still they provided excellent service.

The place was in the quieter part of West Lake, yet getting to all the popular sites was easy. The hostess was very kind, informative, and attentive. Thumbs up!!

First of all, Vivian, the host, is a very friendly, helpful and kind lady that made my stay very comfortable and cozy through: 1) she helped me out with Alipay installation (which is a must at least in Hangzhou); 2) greeted me with tea and homemade cookies; 3) let me taste some other sweet stuff with nuts (delicious by the way); 4) washed my jeans (nothing couldn’t get wet in those rainy days, even the clothes in the luggage); 5) provided some recommendations for sightseeing, etc. Secondly, the place is really clean and cozy. It is really clean as my nose was not blocked. Also, spacious room with everything that you need. And, of course, tasty breakfast (homemade as well).

I wish the place was a bit closer to the bus station but otherwise it’s all great.

The place is in a beautiful area close to West Lakes and other parks. The apartment is very well kept with a fantastic hostess, Vivian, who made us breakfast upon request and many delicious sweets. I highly recommend this place. It feels like having a home in this paradise :)

Literally everything was a good thing

Hospitality in its fullest sense. We can’t put into words how well we were taken care of. From the moment we arrived until our departure, everything was perfectly arranged. She even gave me a small gift for Women’s Day. It truly warms my heart that someone with such passion and love wants to pamper us. She makes the entire breakfast herself—super fresh and absolutely delicious. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated. Unfortunately, we could only stay for one night, but we hope to return soon. It was simply fantastic!

The room was a decent size, very clean and well designed with all we need. Many thoughtful little details and homecook breakfast was delicious. The house is in the west lake scenic area, as the weather was so cooling, we took a 10 mins stroll walk to lake. 20 mins drive to Hefang Street and Lingyin temple. The host Vivian was very helpful and friendly, she woke up at 6am to send us off and helped us book the taxi to the train station when we couldn't get one. I left my charger in her place and.without hesitation, she agreed to mail it to me when. I was in GZ. I highly recommend Rock&Cozy House.

We had a wonderful stay at this Rock and Cozy place! The host Vivian was incredibly friendly and professional, making communication easy in both English and Chinese. The place was spotless and very convenient, with a beautiful osmanthus tree just outside the balcony that added a lovely touch to the atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious and a nice bonus. It's a perfect spot for families, and we will definitely be back again! Highly recommend!

We loved the house. It’s far from the hustle and bustle of the city but very close to the West Lake, which you can explore by foot from here. The rooms are impeccable- not only are they very clean but I really enjoyed the layout. Everything has its place and they feel quite spacious. The host is amazing! She’s very kind and helpful. The breakfast which is freshly prepare by her and her friends each morning is the cherry on top :)
