This is petty, I know, but a coffee machine will be a nice touch. The rest of the kitchen is so well equipped!

Spotless clean and kept internally, nicely furnished and well equipped, even with a good stock of LEGO and board games, which our kids made good use of! Very comfortable with amble space for our family of 5. Small but nicely kept garden. Well located - 10 minute walk to town. Would definitely be our go to when we are back in Taupo. Excellent comms.
It would have been good to know in advance that a new house was being built 6-8 metres from the front door - the builders started at 7am (with music and power tools) and sometimes we’d be relaxing in the sunroom or front garden to be surprised by a few builders walking through the front garden to look at the back of the build! A bit frustrating at times but didn’t detract from our overall stay in what is otherwise a lovely holiday home. Gas fire starting mechanism needs attention.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2025A really nicely presented, clean and well equipped holiday home. The living areas are a good size as are the bedrooms. The lovely kitchen had everything you need and more. Great location just 10 minutes walk to the town or lake front. Our host Tessa was very good at keeping in touch. All round a perfect family holiday retreat!

Reviewed Mar 26, 2025Great location, nice and quiet but within easy walking distance to the lake and shops. The house was really pleasant and comfortable with a nice garden and a barbecue.
Not everyone in our party found the beds as comfortable as they would have liked, although overall we were pretty satisfied.

Reviewed Feb 18, 2025A really lovely place to stay in a great location. Loads of space, light and airy, very well appointed, and just a great house. For us the location was perfect: just a short walk from the centre of Taupo, but far enough out to be really peaceful.
The house could do with bedside lamps and hooks or other places to hang damp towels. The double bed in the triple room may not have been great for two people because it's a bit old, though was fine for one person on their own.
