Reviewed Sep 19, 2026Loved the room I would highly recommend staying here, it had everything we needed to be able to cook, the spa bath was a bonus after our long day of watching rugby. I would definitely come back and stay here, our room was cleaned daily, it was just the right size for two adults, we really oved our stay it was central to everything, there is four square, and a atm across the road, bonus was there is a Chinese buffet next to these 🥰

Nothing was too much trouble, and we were made to feel very welcome. I would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others visiting Taupō.

you can't really cook anything because the smoke will activate the fire alarm . We opened all the windows but still the smoke activates the alarm . Also the kitchens window doesn't fullly open so the smoke cannot really escape . Apart from that everything was fine

Reviewed Jul 17, 2026The receptionist was very helpful when resolving problems.
The heater wasn't working. It was replaced with one which didn't have instructions and was hard to see the on off button and controls and even to get the temperature to go up. The bed was very hard and we both had bad backs in the morning. Only one wine glass. The rubbish bin in the bathroom wasn't emptied from previous occupant. The compendium said the wifi password would be given at check in, but it wasn't. When I asked reception was told it was on the wall by the exit door, which was covered by curtain once we had moved in.

Heat pump needed the filter cleaned before it actually worked - we had to do that. Only one coffe bag for two guests, very poor choice of tea's. Toilet was broken, TV and wiring hanging loose and dangerous from the wall. The whole place was in need of some TLC, cigerttte butts outside. poor water pressure.
