There was no ocean view!! If it had a river or ocean view it would be 20/10!!

Reviewed Jul 6, 2026We loved the decor and attention to detail. A lot of effort had been made in the house. We loved having James make us fires in the evening. We loved all the space and the fact that it felt like a sanctuary beyond the walls. The host was very responsive and friendly. We could imagine it being very nice in summer when you could use the garden more and the pool. It was just pretty cold so we enjoyed our time indoors.

Reviewed Apr 18, 2026My family and I loved the “Huisie” so much…the house is very stunning even the pictures here are not doing it justice. It is equipped with everything you could ever need. It is very clean, the bedrooms are gorgeous, beds are super comfortable! There’s a very helpful and kind housekeeper James who’s always there when you need help. This is definitely the house to book if you’re looking for accommodation in Parys.

Reviewed Feb 26, 2026I have visited a number of places on Booking.com, Kruger Huisie was as if I walked into my home. The kitchen was stocked with cleaning materials (a nice surprise), and the dishwasher was a great help. The beds were comfortable and huge; I didn't even know my doggies were sleeping with me.

Reviewed Nov 19, 2025James was very helpful and all of the amenities really made my stay feel super comfortable.
There is a chicken coop on the property, with roosters. It woke me up at 04:50 in the morning. It really does not make sense to have such a nice property, but to ruin it by not letting your guests get a proper sleep.

Reviewed Sep 15, 2025We were welcomed and assisted with our luggage, were taken threw the house and all was explained. He was always on hand and assisted with fire making and even offered to go to shop. House was cleaned every day, your Butler is amazing and was appreciated.

We have been visiting Parys for years on weekends and this is best the house so far!

Reviewed May 1, 2023Very spacious with lots of attention to small detail made this a winner for us. Loads of ice in the freezer on arrival and a litre of milk in the fridge was appreciated. Fully kitted outdoor area with bar fridges, glassware and all braai amenities were provided. Home away from home experience. You lliterally need to take nothing to prepare your food. James the house boy was great! Off the grid and loadshedding free!
For a 6 sleeper we found the one small bathroom inadequate for this lovely revamped property and the skinny bath with shower over it was not great and felt cramped although nicely done.
