Reviewed Aug 18, 2026Just returned after spending 5 nights in this beautiful house,it had everything we needed for 6 people to enjoy,kitchen was well equipped,it was clean and was situated in a very quiet cul de sac,I would have no complaints about this house and would definitely return again.
I have nothing negative to say about this house,Niall has set the bar high with this house.

I think the carpet on the stairs and landing definitely need to be replaced, it is very worn and stained which was the only thing that let the house down.

Reviewed Oct 1, 2025The cottage had plenty of room and parking and was close enough to Kenmare for us to go to town and eat. We actually loved Kenmare. This was a great location to get to Killarney National Park as well. There was a great makeup table with a mirror and plug for drying hair, etc. in the rooms. There was also some counter space in both upper bathrooms to put toiletries, which is helpful.
Having a clothes dryer on site would have been helpful. When it is misting or a bit wet there is no way to get clothes to dry so we needed to find laundry facilities in town and pay to dry clothes.

Felt the gardens and say deck area and chairs all a bit tired and unkept. Not a big issue as obviously used as a holiday rental a lot.

Unfortunately a number of light bulbs were out. We were not happy with the unmade road approaching the house. We were both driving sports cars & had big problems not damaging the bottom of them whilst driving in. We have never experienced paying for utilities before. We rented our house in the US for 20+ years & never charged for utilities. The hot water did not reach the house bathroom unless you wasted a lot of water hence we could not shower or bath.
